A couple weeks passed by and Jungkook noticed how moody and irritable Yuri was. No matter what he did she was annoyed by it and gave him the look.
"Yuri? Can you make me a sandwich?" He asked her.
The glare she gave him sent shivers down his spine.
"Nevermind I'll make it, I'm not busy anyways." Jungkook got up.
Yuri pushed past him and walked into the kitchen, pulling out the bread and getting everything from the fridge.
"I'm sorry I can make it Yuri." He stood next to her.
She shook her head no.
"Are you mad at me? Did I do something Yuri?" Jungkook questioned.
"No. I'm sorry, I'm just tired." Yuri signed, "Go sit down, I'll bring it to you in a second."
He sat on the couch and watched her finish before she brought the plate to him on the couch. He followed her upstairs and to her room, being quiet since Sooyoung was taking a nap.
Yuri sat on his bed and laid down, slowly closing her eyes. Jungkok sat next to her and rubbed his hand on her back. He played with her hair and sat back leaning against the bed frame.
After scarfing down his food he turned to Yuri. Still seeing her laying there lifelessly.
He put his hand on her back again and saw her look at him.
"Let's talk." He signed.
She sat up and nodded her head. First she got wrapped up in the blankets.
"You never got your period?" He asked her.
"No..." She shook her head.
"I didn't think so."
"How long has it been?"
"Like over two months, Jungkook."
She took his plate and stood up putting on his dresser. Jungkook stood behind her and lifted her shirt, there wasn't a prominent bump or anything. But her stomach was significantly bigger, just looking like she had picked up some pounds. Or ate too much food the previous night.
He put his hands around her waist letting her shirt fall. Kissing the top of her head he sighed looking down.
Holding her hand and pulling her back over to his bed he sat down.
"Sooyoung might be pregnant too. I don't think so though." He signed.
"What!? How do you know?" She asked.
"When they bought the cold medicine a couple weeks back I grabbed the bag and inside there was a pregnancy test, I took it. Then she went to the store to buy another one, but they never said anything and she never went to a doctor so I don't think so."
"You have a pregnancy test?"
"Yes."
"Where? I have to do it."
"Not while she's home. We'll wait till they're both not home."
"Why? I just need to know."
"You will. We can ask her to go to the store when Jihoon gets home."
"Okay.... Then what Jungkook?"
"I'll figure it out. I think I can sneak out my window, I just need a plan for getting up and down. The window easily opens, and cuz it's the attic and the windows are older there's no security alarm up here."
"So you can get out?"
"Theoretically. I just have to figure out how to land without breaking an ankle, and how to get back up."
"Hmm, that will be hard."
"Maybe it won't. . ." He grinned.
"What?"
"The leak in the hallway. . . Jihoon said he would call a roofer or handy man soon. They'll need a ladder...... Though it'll probably take him a month or so to actually do it because he's so lazy."
"Yeah. . . "
"Hey look, it's gonna be okay. I'm gonna take care of you, and protect you. I know I've said this before but am going to get us out of here. The problem is that I don't know where I can take us. And if there's a baby, I have to take care of both of you. But I just don't know how, Ri, I can't provide food or shelter or anything." He sighed standing up, running his fingers through his hair.
Yuri just looked at him feeling guilty that she was of no use. They made eye contact and he hated seeing that sad look in her eyes.
"I'm sorry I'm useless." She looked down.
"You're not my love. If we go to police though they'd stick us in some stupid system. And worst of all they'd separate us! I can't have them do that. No one would take both of us, they'd see what we went through and label us as troubled or something. If that happened we'd never see each other again, Yuri." Jungkook went on.
"So what do we do?"
"I don't know. . . I'm sorry."
He sat next to her and held her hand kissing it. Yuri just leaned her head against his shoulder.
___________
"Can you get us burgers and rolls from the store so me and Yuri can make some?" Jungkook asked Sooyoung.
"We have leftovers in the fridge Jungkook." She replied.
"Please? She's craving burgers and so am I. She ate leftovers for lunch anyways."
"Okay, just let Jihoon relax for a few minutes then we'll go to the store."
"Thank you."
Jungkook headed upstairs and walked into Yuri's room, seeing her just laying in the bed as usual.
"They're gonna go to the store in a few minutes."
"Ok."
He laid next to her and she quickly snuggled up against his side. Jungkook wrapped his arm around her sighing. They both dozed off until Jungkook heard footsteps, he pushed her off of him and sat up.
"Sorry, Sooyoung is coming." He signed.
Yuri got up and went over to her dresser, pretending to be cleaning. She asked them if they wanted anything else and they both responded with banana milk. Once they left, Yuri looked at Jungkook.
"Oh god Yuri." He muttered, she was patiently staring at him.
________
Getting in the car, Sooyoung put her seatbelt on. She sighed looking out the window.
"Hasn't Yuri been acting strange?" Jihoon started driving.
"A little. Why?" Sooyoung replied.
"She just seems different. Also she'd definitely picked up some weight, she won't stop eating and she's being snappy and rude. Her and Jungkook are just acting differently."
"Yeah I know."
"So. . . ?"
"So what?"
"What do you think it is?"
"Their teenagers. Who knows they could've had a fight or something."
"You better find out." He looked at her.
"Okay, I'm sure it's nothing." Sooyoung replied.
"Make sure of that. I don't want them to have any secrets. They know what we did, and I'm sure Jungkook plants all kinds of ideas in her head. I knew from the start he'd be trouble."
"Jungkook cares about her more than anything. He's a good boy Jihoon."
"Yeah it's evident that he cares about her."
Jihoon could see the spark between them, the way their pupils turned to hearts when they made eye contact. Jungkook would protect her from anything or anyone.
If it was teen love? Real love? Or an oddly close friendship between two "siblings". He didn't care, the only thing that mattered was that his wife had something to occupy her between his 9-5 job. Though she couldn't have kids, she desperately wanted to be a mother, and Yuri and Jungkook made her happy. That's what mattered to him.
Jihoon had seen them hold hands, when they thought he wasn't around. Normal teenage "Siblings" didn't hold hands or cuddle like they did. He wasn't surprised considering they only had each other, the fact that they were of the opposite gender didn't help. A romantic relationship was something he noticed long ago, it seemed like they've always had feelings for each other, especially once puberty hit.
Sooyoung was too blinded to see any of it. In her eyes she saw a brother and sister that perfectly got along. If that's what she thought Jihoon wouldn't say anything otherwise.
One thing he knew was Jungkook was bright and intelligent to say the least, same going for Yuri. Jungkook was always up to something, and Yuri's loyalty to him would always stand strong.
