Aura's eyes fluttered and news from yesterday hit her like a boulder.

She bit her lip as she scanned the room for Axl - was that even his real name -

She sat up slowly and rushed to the door.

She gasped when she noticed it was slightly opened so she could take a peak.

The hallways were empty.

She opened the door and it creaked slightly.

She groaned as soon as she was out. She hadn't thought this plan over but she just needed to get Vin out of here.

Her eyes flickered to men surrounding a door, serious looks on their faces.

She took long confident strides to them, trying to hide her nerves.

They wouldn't kill them, right?

"Hello" she smiled, making them turn to them, hands in their pockets.

They let go and stared at their queen warily.

"моя королева" they started "what can we get for you?"

"Oh um well Axl summoned you in his- office" she lied.

They looked at each other and took off running not before saying "Thank you моя королева"

Her mouth dropped and she smirked.

That was easy.

She opened the door slowly and proceeded to tip-toe into what seemed like a bedroom.

The lights were off so it was pretty dark but she wasn't risking anyone entering.

She heard soft snores and her heart rate grew faster.

She picked Vin up from the soft bed and checked him for injuries, partially surprised when she found none.

She placed him on her hip and took a deep breath.

"Where do you think you are going?" Axl's deep voice filled her ears and she cursed.

The lights were turned on and before she knew it she was pinned to a wall.

"Where do you think you are going" then his eyes darted to his still sleeping son "with my son?"

She didn't say anything, making his eyes darken a bit.

"Answer me" he almost yelled.

"You're the leader of the Russian mafia which means there are more mafias which means my son isn't safe" she growled making him flinch.

"You made that assumption" he scoffed.

"We were attacked hours ago," she pointed out.

Betrayal and hurt swam in his eyes and he lost his grip on her hands.

"Leave" he said simply "but don't take my son along"

Her eyes widened and she slapped him making his head whip to the side.

"If I want to leave I take my son with me" she yelled "who carried him for nine months? Who struggled to give him a loving home and care for him. And you? You were cursing me about being a gold digger but let me get this one thing in your head you will never have my kid and I'm not a gold digger. You think I wanted to play you? No but damn I'd be lying if I said I didn't fall in love with you"

His mouth fell open and he stared her in the eyes.

"Did Rodrigo force you?" He asked slowly.

Tears ran down her cheek but she shook her head.

Vin whimpered, finding it a little uncomfortable on his mom's hips and his eyes fluttered open, giving Axl a look at his big blue eyes.

"Mama" he moaned, making her adjust him on her hip.

He clutched onto her pyjama top and she placed him on the soft bed.

His eyes darted to Axl who just stared at him.

"He's uh my friend" she lied.

"He's papa isn't he?" he asked bluntly.

She didn't seem shocked and just nodded.

Vin waved at Axl and Axl smiled, waving back.

Axl glanced at Aura who just nodded, a small smile on her face.

He walked to the bed and knelt down right beside it.

"Hey сын" he ruffled his hair making him pout but laugh gh nonetheless.

It sounded like music to his ears and he took a vow to make him laugh everyday for the rest of his life.

"Mama, I think it is time for school," he said, making her wince.

"That's right kiddo" she kissed his cheek "I need to talk to papa for a while why don't you- explore but don't touch anything okay baby"

He nodded and ran off to the bathroom, probably to throw bath bombs in the bathtub. He liked it when it rose up and became soapy.

"Where the hell are we Axl?" She hissed, making him sigh.

"Russia" he said quickly, making her glare at him.

"Russian? Are you serious. Axl I swear I will kill you" she threatened, pointing a finger at him.

"I'm sorry. Everything is just so messy and I'm royally screwed" he said "can't you convince him to stay home for a while?"

"Your mess, your kid, your problem" she scoffed.

He sighed and walked slowly to the bathroom, to find his son leaning against the bathtub, trying to turn off the tap that was slightly overflowing.

Axl rushed to him and turned off the tap making him grin and thank him.

"Son" he trailed off, the title a little too foreign for his liking "you can't go to school today"

"Why? What about Louie" he whined, making him furrow his eyebrows.

"My friend" he blushed "She is really pretty"

Axl chuckled and ruffled his blond hair.

"How about we make a deal" he offered, making Vin glance at him.

"Sure,'' he shrugged.

"We aren't in Mexico right now because it isn't um safe so as soon as it is safe enough we'll go back and you can see Louie everyday"

"Everyday? Really?" He asked, shocked.

Axl nodded and Vin nodded excitedly.

"W-What about Louie?" He asked.

"What about her?" Axl asked, placing him on the bathroom counter near the sink.

"If it isn't safe what is she still doing there? Can you go get her?" He asked politely "please"

He froze as he dragged the colgate toothpaste against the seahorses themed toothbrush.

"Well she has left too" he lied, making him raise an eyebrow at him.

"When is it going to be safe again?" He asked quietly.

"I don't know сын" he stroked his hair slowly "I'm sorry"

"Protect mama to your last breath?" He asked, sticking out his pinky finger.

Axl smirked and wrapped his pinky around his.

"I'll fix everything" he whispered "I'll find her truth"

Aura took a deep breath as she knocked on the door that was claimed to be Axl's office.

"Come in" he said, making her heart rate pick up.

She had to fix everything.

For the happiness of her son

And possibly herself but to do that she had to tell the truth.

She entered, her head held up high.

"Aura" he said, shocked and a little... flustered?

"Hey Axl" she waved shyly "can I talk to you?"

"Oh yeah" he scratched his curly hair "Do the clothes not fit"

Her face heated up and she tugged on the oversized shirt that she stretched a little.

Maybe she needed to lose weight.

"They do" she said quickly "I-I just want to know about this whole situation- all of it"

He took a deep breath and guestered to the plush chair in front of him.

She sat down, immediately relaxing into it, enjoying its softness.

"As you know I'm the Russian mafia leader-" she cut him off.

"When did you become the Russian mafia leader?" She asked curiously.

"Before we met" he simply said making her nod.

"My mafia registered you as their queen and that didn't break after the divorce" he said "I had no idea you- we had a son but on my way home last night I was attacked. I swear I didn't know it was your home but I'm so glad it was because whoever it is has figured out that you are my long lost queen-"

"Do they know about Vin?" She asked again.

He shrugged "I have no idea about that"

"Anyway once they found out that you are my long lost queen they attacked because a king is nothing without his queen" he said.

"You need a queen. I'm not your queen, we divorced, remember?" She reminded him nervously.

His jaw clenched and he cracked his knuckles, making them pale.

"Our divorce meant nothing in the crime world,'' he scoffed.

She nodded and sat there, playing with her thumbs.

"I'll fix everything Aura" he whispered, grabbing her hand " I promise"

Tears gathered in her eyes and she leaned over the table, giving him quite a view of her breast as she wasn't wearing a bra.

"I'll tell the truth" she whispered "I promise"

He smiled bitterly.

"I'll find the truth" he grinned sadly "I'll fix our imperfectly perfect family"

She connected their lips and he held the back of her head, deepening their long passionate kiss.

"Mama' their baby boy yelled, barging into the office, startling them "Papa"

Aura smiled sadly as Axl picked his son up, immediately tickling and distracting the boy with joy and happiness.

Axl was a great father, hands down.

They both deserved a shot at happiness
