Rosemary's POV

It was now pouring outside, as the storm was closing on in. Bright flashes of lightning were seen through my windows, followed by a loud thunderclap, which shook my house. I feared that Kylie out somewhere in the raging thunderstorm. I truly hoped she wasn't standing under a tree.

I tried calling the Hollow Creek Police Department again, and this time, I finally got through.

"Hollow Creek Police," said a lady.

"Can you send the police to find my missing daughter?" I asked.

"What's your name, Ma'am?"

"Rosemary Hilton."

What's your daughter's name?"

"Kylie."

"Where was your daughter last seen?"

"Food Lion. We were doing some grocery shopping, and when I wasn't looking, she wandered off."

"Are you still at Food Lion, Ma'am?"

"No, I'm home, now.

"So, then why did you wait to get home, to call us about your missing daughter? She could've been kidnapped by now! I'm afraid, we can't help you, Ma'am! I'm terribly sorry."

"You didn't even ask me what she looked like!" I protested.

"Like I said, we can't help you. Hopefully, your daughter will come back. Good bye." And, she hung up on me. I felt so hopeless. There was one thing for me to do.

Find Kylie myself.
