Chapter Three
Ezra's P.O.V.
ZZZ•••ZZZ
I was running.
To what, I don't know.
Maybe I was running away from something.
A man with a small ponytail was running in front me, but I felt at peace with him.
He's not a threat.
Friend, not Foe.
It felt cold though, and I had a sense of helplessness around me that almost made me want to give up.
The man looked behind him, and said, "Come on, Kid. Don't want to keep Hera waiting."
ZZZ•••ZZZ
Hera...
Hera.
"Hera!" I shout, sitting up and bumping heads with something.
"Ow" The Twi'lek says in reply holding her forehead, before gently putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Calm down, Ezra."
"I'm sorry. I forgot all about our escape and then I had this dream and then-" I ramble, before she cuts me off.
"The escape can wait. Are you okay?" She asks.
I nod, before sitting up farther.
"We need to escape now, Hera. It's important." I whine, as a sense of urgency washes over me.
Hera raises her eyebrows and looks around the enclosed space.
"First of all, Ezra, you're injured. Second, we are stuck in here with no windows, no key to get out, and no vents." She informs.
I smile cockily before getting up.
"Hera, Hera, Hera. You said you were part of a rebellion. You should know by now how to escape." I say, "besides, my injuries are nothing. They only hurt on the first day."
I rub my eyes.
"Speaking of.. how long was I?"
"Out? Three days."
"So all together that is.."
"Four days." Hera informs.
I crack my knuckles.
"Well, that means we can't stay any longer Hera, your people need you."
She sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose, "Ezra, whatever you're planning don't do it we don't even have a means of escaping-"
I knock on the door, shushing her.
"Excuse me, sirs?! The Twi'lek has died suddenly. I don't know what to do!" I exclaim in false panic, staring at Hera and smiling with my teeth.
She sighs again, before catching on and playing dead.
The doors open and a bucket head shoves me aside, walking over to Hera and picking her up.
While he's distracted with that, however, he doesn't notice me sneaking up behind him.
"Hera, now!" I yell, jumping on him which causes him to drop Hera.
He flails for a bit as I latch onto his neck, strangling him.
Finally, he stops moving and I get up.
"Well, oh so smart one, what's your plan now?" She asks, crossing her arms sassily.
I shrug, and minutes later I'm wearing bucket head armor and she's my 'prisoner.'
"This was really the only plan you could come up with?" She whispers as I tug her along down the corridors, looking for an exit.
"Yep." I say, "Now where's the TIE fighters.."
She shakes her head. "No. I need the info still."
I sigh.
"Hera, you need to do without it. For the safety of your crew and yourself. You can't risk it."
We make our way down to the pods as she contemplates this, before she sighs.
"I'm gonna regret saying this due to you're massive ego, but, you're right, Ezra."
I smirk, though she can't see it with the bucket head on.
"When aren't I, Hera?"
Suddenly, a solider walks in front of us.
"What are you doing here with a prisoner?" He asks.
"I had direct orders from Agent Kallus to bring her here to fix a broken TIE, sir." I say, straightening up a bit.
He nods, "Very well. Access granted."
I push Hera into the entrance to the TIE center, whispering a 'sorry' after the auto doors close.
We go into a command room, and Hera punches the bucket head occupying it.
I whistle, impressed. "Remind me not to get on your bad side." I say.
She smirks, before beginning to press buttons.
"Ezra, I need to contact my crew so that they know I'm okay. Can you be my look out?" She asks, focusing on the commands.
I nod, before she says something else that stuns and determines me.
"And Ezra? I trust you."
