It was teez. Kartik was excited. He was going to naira's house for teez. Akshara had called him the day before.

Akshara:- hello kartik.

Kartik :- ji aunty. Kahiye ?

Akshara :- beta. Actually kal teez hai toh mein soch rahi thi ki kyun na swarna ji aur hum saath mein teez manaye. Isi bahane vo baaki sabse bhi mil lengi. Toh kal kya vo aa paengi ?

Kartik :- sorry aunty. Par mom, dad abhi delhi mein hai. Thode dino mein vaapas aaenge.

Akshara :- ohh. Phir agar apni dadi se pooch lo. Aur agar ho sake toh tum hi aa jao.

Kartik got excited.

Kartik :- ok aunty. Mein dadi se poochta hoon. Nahi toh mein hi aa jaaonga.

Akshara :- ok beta.

Kartik had asked dadi but she had refused as she had to go to some event. For luv kush and mansi, keerti was there. Keerti noticed his happiness which she voiced to dadi.

Keerti :- dadi. Aapko nahi lagta ki aaj kal vahan jaane ke liye ye kuch jyada hi utavla rehta hai.

Dadi :- haa. Aur hummein pata hai kyun ?

Keerti :- kyun ?

Dadi :- hum yakeen se toh nahi keh sakte par hummein lagta ki Kittu naira ko pasand karta hai.

Keerti was shocked.

Keerti :- sachi ?

Dadi :- pakka nahi hai, lekin uss ke naam se hi iske chehre pe khushi aa jaati hai. Aur dance competition vaale din bhi iska poora dhyaan naira pe hi tha.

Keerti :- arey wah, maan na padega Kartik ko, bahut bada chupa rustam hai, baaki kisi ko toh bhanak bhi nahi lagne di.

Dadi :- haa. Par tumne ek baat dekhi ?

Keerti :- kya ?

Dadi :- pichle kuch samay se hummein hamara purana Kittu nazar aa raha hai.

Keerti :- ha dadi. Ye toh maine bhi dekha. Jitna khush maine isse pichle kuch time se dekha, utna toh bas ye uss hadse pehle hi tha.

Dadi :- isliye hum isse nahi rokte. Aur uss parivaar ko bhi isse bahut lagaav ho gaya hai. Bhagwan kare ki ye khushiyan iske jeevan mein aise hi bani rahe.

It was afternoon when he reached singhaniya sadan. He excitedly went inside. He saw mishti, gayu and naira taking a selfie and stood behind them.

Naira :- ye mendhak kahan se aa gaya hamare beech photobomb karne.

They turned around to see kartik standing there with a thali in his hands covered with a cloth. Mishti came forward and fist bumped kartik.

Kartik :- hi.

Gayu :- hello.

Naira :- kya jai. Kaise ho ?

Kartik :- perfect veeru.

Gayu :- Jai Veeru ?

Mishti :- aapko itna bhi nahi pata. Vo jo famous film hai na, uske hero. Kal friendship day tha na toh ye dono friends ban gaye hai.

Naira :- vaise mishti itni der ho gayi, aur ab tak humne tumhare muh se bf nahi suna.

Mishti :- vo actually, ab ye mere bf nahi bff ho gaye hai.

N/G:- Kya/kyu ?

Mishti :- actually vo mughse nahi kisi aur se-

Kartik quickly covered her mouth with his hand and leaned down.

Kartik :- mishti. Humne kya teh kiya tha, secret bff code ?

Mishti :- oh sorry sorry, bhul gayi. Ab vo mere type ke nahi hai, isliye humne breakup kar liya. Ab mein ek naya bf dundh rahi jo meri tarah good looking ho.

Naira :- vaise acha kiya mishti, ab tum iski tar tar se bhi bach jaogi.

Kartik :- humne kya teh kiya tha.

Naira :- oh. Sorry bhul gayi. Ab aadatein badlne mein thoda time toh lagega.

Kartik kept staring at naira as she was talking with gayu before mishti pinched him.

Mishti :- bff, itna mat ghuro varna pitaai ho jaegi.

Kartik :- sorry.

Akshara came and saw kartik.

Akshara :- arey kartik. Tum kab aaye ?

Kartik :- bas abhi abhi.

Kartik gave akshara the thali.

Akshara :- yeh kya hai?

Kartik :- ye teez ke shagun ka saman.

Akshara :- ye kisne diya ?

Kartik :- meri dadi ne.

Akshara :- par iski kya zaroorat thi.

Kartik :- vo actually. Maa iss baar delhi mein hai aur chachi U.S. mein. Ghar pe teez rakhne wala koi hai nahi. Toh dadi ne kaha ki aapko hi dede. Aap unki saheli ki poti hai aur unki beti ki tarah.

Akshara :- par phir bhi -

Kartik :- par var kuch nahi. Ye toh aapke lena hi padega.

Akshara :- acha thik hai. Unka number mughe dena, mein khud unhe thank you kahoongi.

Kartik smiled. After sometime the ladies were checking jwellery. Naira asked for Kartik's help who just kept saying yes to everything causing naira and him to have a banter which was saved by mishti.

Kartik called naira outside.

Naira :- haa bolo. Yahan kyun bulaya.

Kartik :- vo mughe tumhe kuch dena hai.

Naira :- kya ?

Kartik went to his car and brought out a small package.

Kartik :- yeh meri taraf se friendship gift.

Naira :- kartik. Iski kya zaroorat thi.

Kartik :- mein de raha hoon na. Aur tum mana nahi kar sakti.

Naira :- par-

Kartik :- par var kuch nahi, tumhe lena hi padega.

Naira took it and opened it. She gasped. Inside were two beautiful gold diamond earrings and a maang tika. She could tell that they were expensive. Very expensive.

Naira :- nahi kartik. Ye bahut expensive hai. I can't take this.

Kartik :- excuse me. Bhul gayi tum. Hum Jai Veeru hai, aur jai jab bhi kuch deta hai, veeru mana nahi kar sakta.

Naira :- lekin-

Kartik :- mughe kuch nahi sun na. Haa aur aaj raat ko tumhe ye pehna hai.

Saying this kartik went inside. Naira looked at him going inside. Her heart fluttered. A smile came on her face. For some reason, talking with him always lifted her mood.

It was almost night time. Riya had come earlier. Naksh had sent her photo the day before and kartik already had Vikram on finding riya's truth. He was helping in setting the decorations. He came outside in the garden. Naira was there.

Naira :- shabash, lage raho. Aise hi vrat wali naario ki seva karoge toh fal zaroor milega.

Kartik :- thank you guruji.

He was about to go when he asked.

Kartik :- by the way ache se fal tumhara kya matlab hai ?

Naira :- ache fal yani seb, anar, aam ye sab.

Kartik :- wow, kitne sade hue jokes maarti ho tum.

Naira :- haa, lein fal bilkul taaze hai.

Kartik :- pahle pata hota ki meri dost ka itna kharab sense of humour hai to main tumse kabhi dosti na karta. Sochta.

Naira :- mujhe pahle pata hota ki tum sochte ho-

Kartik:- kyu? sochne mein kya problem hai.

Naira :- nahi, socho socho, ache se socho, jee bharke.

She went and started fixing the decorations. Kartik couldn't help but imagine what it would be like for him and naira to celebrate teez. He was lost in his thoughts, imagining her in a green saree keeping fast for him. His thoughts were broken when he looked down to see naira who was stuck in the ladder. He helped her out after teasing her.

The ladies had performed the pooja of teez and now karaoke was going on. Kartik had been mesmerized on seeing naira. Kartik had wanted to leave but naira stopped him and messaged him about riya. Suddenly he received a call. It was Vikram.

Kartik :- arey naksh, ye dekho tumne mughse ek deal ki baat kari thi na. Ussi ke liye supplier ka phone hai.

Naksh understood what kartik wanted to say.

Rajshekhar :- konsi deal lalla ?

Naksh :- dada ji. Vo krishna ke liya hai. Aao kartik, ek baari supplier se baat kar le.

They both went outside. Kartik talked on the phone and Vikram told him everything about riya.

Kartik :- Vikram, tum abhi kuch bodyguards aur police ko lekar singhaniya sadan phocho. Immediately.

Kartik cut the call and turned to naksh.

Kartik :- aunty aur naira ko bhi riya ka sach pata hai. We have to be careful.

Naksh :- haa. Mughe ek baat samagh nahi aa rahi, ki sab log itni jaldi so kaise rahe hai ?

Kartik :- naksh, kheer. Aunty, naira maine aur tumne kheer nahi khayi baaki sabne khaayi hai. Usne pakka uss kheer mein kuch mila diya hoga.

Naksh nodded and both of them went inside. They nodded to Akshara and naira, who understood.

Akshara started singing. Kartik, naksh and naira joined them and then all of them pretended to sleep. Riya called her goons inside and naira, naksh and kartik attacked the goons.

Kartik saw a goon about to attack naira, he came in between. He got a deep cut on his hand.

Naira :- kartik.

It was enough distraction as 2-3 more goons came and one goon took hold of naira and pointed a knife to her throat.

Kartik, naksh and Akshara were worried. Riya and her goons started taunting them. Unknown to them the police and Goenka bodyguards had come and were moving very quietly.

They quickly took hold of the situation as they pointed a gun at the goon holding naira captive causing him to free her. The police arrested them and took them away.

Akshara :- ye police kab aayi ?

Naksh told Akshara everything. Him telling kartik, and them receiving vikram's call and calling the police.

Akshara :- kartik. Ek baar phir se tumhara-

Kartik :- thank you mat kahiyega. Varna mein naraaz ho jaaonga. Maine pehle bhi aap se kaha hai ki aap sab mere apne hai.

Naira noticed Kartik's bleeding hand. Naksh went with the police while akshara and naira tended to his hand. Akshara went to bring tumeric milk for kartik.

Naira :- bahut dard ho raha hai.

Kartik shook his head.

Naira :- tum thik to ho na.

Kartik :- meri chhodo. Tum theek ho ?

Naira :- mujhe kya hoga? aur tumhe kya jarurat thi jyada hero banne ki ?

Kartik :- aur tumhe kuch ho jata toh.

Naira looked at him.

Kartik :- toh mein kisko chidata? Jai aur veeru ki jodi tut jaati na. Singhania ke sholey kaise bante ?

Naira gave him a painkiller which he refused to eat. She put the painkiller in his mouth and he accidentally bit it. He started coughing.

Naira :- tum aadami ho ya pyjama painkiller koi chabata hai.

Kartik :- Jaan bhugh kar nahi kiya galti se ho gaya. Kuchh meetha dogi pure muh ka swad kadwa ho gaya hai.

Naira quickly fed him the kheer kept there. He finished the bowl when she realised it was the drugged kheer.

Kartik's head was already spinning.

Kartik :- bahut gazab kheer hai. Iski aakhein. Iska dil kitna pyara hai.

Naira :- ye toh gaya kaam se.

Kartik turned to her with a dopey smile on his face.

Kartik :- vaise. Bahut pyari lag rahi ho tum aaj. Bilkul apsara ki tarah.

Naira felt a blush coming on her face.

Kartik :- aur meri choice kitni achi lag rahi hai tum pe. Vaise ek baat kahoon naira. Tum na sach mein bahut sundar ho.

Naira blushed.

Kartik :- the most beautiful.

Saying that Kartik's head fell on her neck. His lips kissed her throat. Naira stiffened as her neck and face became red. She looked down at kartik who was already asleep.

She gently laid him on the couch. Her hand went to the area where he had kissed her. Her mind went to the kiss she had given him.

Akshara and naksh came and laid him in the guest room. Akshara was in the living hall when naira and naksh came.

Naksh :- I am sorry maa. Meri wajah se aap sabko itni takleef-

Akshara :- nahi duggu. Isme tumhari koi galti nahi hai. Vo toh shukar hai ki kartik ne sambhal liya aur police ko bula liya, varna pata nahi kya ho jata. Uske ghar pe kisi ne bataya ki nahi ko vo yahin hai.

Naira :- haa mumma. Maine mansi ko bata diya tha.

Akshara then noticed something.

Akshara :- naira, beta ye earrings aur ye maang tika kisne diya ?

Naira :- ye kartik ne diye hai maa. Gift.

Akshara :- par ye toh bahut expensive lag rahe hai.

Naira :- haa maa. Maine mana kiya par nahi mana.

Akshara :- ye ladka bhi na. Kabhi nahi sudhrega. Acha ab tum dono bhi so jao.

Both nodded. Naira went to her room to sleep. She thanked God that everything was ok now. As she lied down to sleep her mind drifted again and again towards kartik and what he said. The last thought she had I mind before sleeping was the kiss he had given her.
