Chapter 3
"Freak! Die already!" my father yelled as he wrapped his hands around my throat. I screamed and scratched and clawed at his arms, struggling to get free.
"Dustian! Calm down! It's just a dream!" someone shouted, and I felt hands gently shaking my shoulders. I screamed louder and started clawing at their arms in an effort to escape.
"Just leave me alone! I promise I won't come back, just leave me alone!" I shouted as someone pinned my wrists above me.
"Dustian! Wake up! It's Ryan! Calm down!" the voice said, and I stopped screaming long enough to open my eyes.
"R-R-Ryan?" I asked, feeling tears streaking down my face.
His eyes were soft and understanding, but the scratches on his face and arms stood out like a sore thumb. He pulled me into a hug and let me cry on his shoulder. I wrapped my arms around his neck and sobbed, probably waking up anyone in the house who wasn't already awake. "Shhh. It's okay. It's fine. Nobody's going to hurt you." he said, running a hand through my hair soothingly.
After a few more minutes of comforting me, he pulled back and looked down into my eyes. I blushed and looked down. "I'm sorry for scratching you Ryan."
"Don't worry about it." he said as he ran his hand through my hair again.
I blushed darker and hugged him again. "What time is it?" I asked, noticing it was still dark outside the window.
"4:02. I don't have any classes today, so let's just go back to bed. Can you do that for me?" he asked, concern in his voice. I slowly nodded and he laid me against the mattress again. He pulled the blanket up to my chest and turned towards the couch, stopping when I gripped his arm.
"C-can you s-stay with m-m-me?" I asked, a small hint of fear in my voice. He smiled softly and climbed onto the bed, and without me realising that I did it, I snuggled closer to him, getting my head under his chin.
He chuckled softly and I blushed, burying my face closer to him. Already I was falling back to sleep, my eyes heavier by the second. As my eyes finally closed, I felt something soft pressed against my forehead, but I fell asleep before I could figure out what it was.
I opened my eyes and yawned, snuggling closer to the warm thing that I was pressed against as my eyes closed again. Immediately they popped open and I jumped backwards, looking at Ryan's sleeping face. I felt my face warm up as I slipped out of bed, picking up my bag and opening it. I grabbed a grey shirt that had a radioactive cat scratching through the front next to the Mountain Dew logo and a pair of blue jeans. I was about to walk out of the room to change in the bathroom, but the two guys from last night appeared in my mind and I stopped what I was doing.
Weighing my options, changing in front of someone who was still asleep seemed better than seeing that Nikolai character again. I glanced at Ryan again, making sure he was still asleep as I turned around. I quickly stripped out of my clothes, leaving them in a small pile next to me. I had just bent over to slip on my pants when Ryan spoke.
"Dustian?" My face turned a bright red as I slowly turned around to see Ryan watching me change. I didn't say anything, knowing my words would just embarrass me more. Instead I continued pulling my pants up and pulling my shirt over my head.
When I was finished I looked up at him, my face still red. "I didn't want to run into those guys from last night." I mumbled, keeping my head down.
"It's okay. I get it. Those guys are creeps." Ryan said, making me look up. He smiled at me and I blushed, rubbing my arm self-consciously. He noticed and frowned. "Let me see where Nickolai grabbed you." he commanded.
I immediately panicked. I didn't want him to end up trying to fight them. "It's n-nothing! I p-promise!" I told him, backing up towards the wall.
His frown deepened and he stood up. "Now Dustian." I held back a whimper and reluctantly extended my arm. He quickly walked over and pulled back my sleeve, exposing dark bruises in the shape of fingerprints on my arm, right above my elbow. He gently stroked them and I immediately hissed in pain, yanking my arm away.
"Are you okay?" he asked, taking a tentative step forward. I hissed again and tried backing up more but ran into the wall. That hurt!
"Why would you do that?!" I asked through clenched teeth, pulling myself against the wall.
He laughed and raised his hands. Surrender? Apology? What does it mean?! "I'm sorry. That was a bad idea. I promise I won't touch it again, just stop backing up. I don't think the wall will give anymore." he said with a chuckle. I blushed and crept forward a little, getting within a few steps from him.
He slowly reached a hand out and started petting me. A purr quickly built up in my throat and forced it's way past my lips. He started to pull his hand away and I leaned forward, trying to get more of his touch. He chuckled again and pet me some more. I finally seemed to realize what I was doing and quickly pulled away, my face turning dark red.
He smiled and backed away, tripping over my open backpack. It immediately tumbled over, making the open bag of treats spill out onto the floor. I quickly dove for them, scooping them back in as fast as I could. I heard laughter and I looked up to see Ryan nearly doubled over. "Oh my god! That's so cute! You don't have to hide them!" he said, holding his stomach. My face turned redder than it had been all morning and I quickly put all but one in the box, popping the last one in my mouth.
I stood up and was about to probably melt into a pile of embarrassed idiot when his phone rang. Within the first ring he already had the phone pressed against his ear. "Go for Ryan." His eyebrows arched in what looked like surprise and he covered the microphone. "I know this is a little hard, but can you wait for me in the kitchen? This is an important call."
Immediately I thought of a thousand reasons to say no, Nickolai making the list no fewer than sixty-seven times, but I nodded anyways and opened the door. He smiled graciously and shut the door after I was through. I turned around and looked down the hallway to the stairs. So far, no Nickolai. Maybe he wasn't actually a part of this frat?
I crept down the hallway silently and made my way downstairs. There were a few people passed out around the place, but it was nowhere near as bad as the previous night. The kitchen was through a side door that connected to the living room, and when I went in it was empty. I opened the fridge, really out of curiosity more than hunger, and looked at the options. It was mostly empty, but I noticed a twelve pack of Dr Pepper with a sticky note on it.
Everyone except party people and Joseph may have one of these. Punishable by an ass kicking, and I don't give a hell of you're a Dom or not.
-Marco
Well, I technically wasn't a party person, and the last time I checked my name was Dustian. I popped open the tab of one when I heard the door swing open behind me. I quickly turned around and came face to face with a kid giving me an evil eye. "What did that note say?" the kid said. Guess this is Marco.
Before I could say anything, I'd been bent forward so I was holding the counter and my shirt was hiked up. "Explain yourself, or I'll start beating you up now."
"U-um I-I'm not here b-b-because of the p-party." I stuttered out, keeping still so he wouldn't decide to hit me anyways.
"Oh really? Why are you here then?" Marco asked, not letting go.
"R-Ryan found me in an alleyway last night and let me sleep here." I mumbled, a slight blush creeping across my cheeks.
Immediately his hands were off me. "Whoa! Dude I'm so sorry! You should have said something before! I swear I wouldn't have laid a hand on you if I knew you were Ryan's."
I blushed and turned back to him. "I-it's okay. I r-really should have asked anyways..." I muttered.
"Nonsense! I said no party people or Joseph. You name isn't Joseph, is it?" Marco asked, his brownish-blackish hair flopping around.
I shook my head and extended my hand. "Dustian."
He took it, the sleeves of his red hoodie falling backwards. "Marco. Again, sorry about earlier. I get a little protective over my soda. Especially since Joseph lives here." I nodded understandably. I used to hide my Dr Peppers under my bed. I mentally flinched at the word used.
He turned around and walked away, shutting the door behind him. I turned back around and started drinking the soda again, finishing it off and throwing the can in the trash. I was about to leave and go outside for a while when the door opened. "-and I told her 'Sorry, but I'm only attracted to guys.' Wait, it's the stray!" Nikolai said as he stared at me. I immediately panicked and made a beeline for a door to my left, but he was faster, grabbing my arm and yanking back. "What's wrong little kitty? Don't you want to have some fun with us?"
I struggled, but his grip was too strong as I was pulled backwards. "L-let me g-go!" I yelled at him and the other boy who had taken my other arm. What was his name again? Sam? Surge? Sage, that was it.
I was lifted up and placed on the island as Sage went behind my back to hold both of my arms in place. I struggled more as Nickolai spread my legs apart and got in between them, smacking me when I tried kicking him. "Stop struggling kitty. It's rude, especially since you're in my frat house. I think you need to pay for your stay, don't you agree?"
I whimpered and shook my head. "G-get off me!" I screamed loud enough that my own ears hurt. Nickolai ignored my protests and forced his lips onto mine. As much as I hate to admit it, he was a good kisser. Suddenly he was yanked away from behind and the grip on my arms was lessened. I looked and saw Ryan dragging Nickolai backwards, and when I turned around I saw Marco doing the same to Sage.
"What the hell are you doing?" Ryan asked him through clenched teeth. He looked like he was about to murder him.
Nickolai was clearly unfazed though, as he laughed at the question. "Just having a little fun with the stray. You should have known something was going to happen when you decided to bring him home." he said with another laugh.
Fitness level, they looked about even. When they were both level-headed, I'm pretty sure it might have been a pretty fair fight. But Ryan looked like the fucking Hulk right now, so a fight might have been a little one-sided. "Give me a reason not to beat your ass senseless."
Another laugh. Damn, could nothing scare him? "Having my father be the Dean and all, that would ruin your chances of graduating. And I'll have him ruin any chances you have of getting accepted into any other college." he said smugly, eyeing me with lust.
I shuddered. How could this guy have so much power? Ryan seemed to be ignoring the threat to his career though, because if anything his grip tightened. I couldn't let him do this to himself. "S-stop Ryan. I-it's not worth it."
His eyes seemed to finally clear up and he let go of Nickolai. "Sage too." Nickolai said with that same smug smile. I heard Marco let him go and they turned to walk away. "Au revoir for now kitty. I'll be seeing you soon."
As soon as the door swung shut behind him, I finally relaxed. Well, if you can call pulling your knees to your chest and attempting not to cry relaxing. Ryan was at my side instantly, petting me and muttering something about it being his fault. I shook my head no and bit my lip. He didn't know that would happen. "C-can he r-really d-do that to y-y-you?" I asked him, forcing myself to look up.
He hesitated and then looked away. Guess so. "What's gotten into him?" Marco asked as he sat down in a seat in front of me.
"I don't know. And I don't care either. Are you okay Dustian?" Ryan asked, looking deep into my eyes.
I blushed and nodded. "T-thank you R-Ryan. T-thanks M-Marco. But p-p-please don't do i-it if it m-means ruining your c-career Ryan. I-I'm not w-worth it..." I told him, looking down.
Neither one of them said something, until Marco decided to break the ice. "Round of Dr Peppers for stopping potential rape?" I don't know why, but I actually laughed. A full, completely real laugh.
Ryan didn't find it funny, but I think he was happy I was laughing. "If you please good sir." Ryan said with a small flourish. I laughed even more from his antics and smiled.
Marco went to the fridge and pulled out three of the sodas and handed one to the both of us before sitting back down. "A toast! To saving my ass!" I cheered, raising my can.
They both laughed and toasted with me. "To saving your ass!" We all popped the tops on the cans and started drinking them when the door opened again. "Marco! How come he gets one?! He's a party person!" a boy around my age whined. He had short red hair that was brushed to his left side, which was the opposite of my right side. He seemed nice, but for some reason my nerves were going crazy.
"No Joseph. You're still in trouble for what you did." Marco said matter of factly. "And besides, he's a guest of Ryan's."
The boy, Joseph, whined and sat down on the floor. He made puppy dog eyes at Marco and whimpered. "Please???????"
Marco sighed and shook his head. "Bad dog. Your Owner has told you not to beg." Dog?! Immediately I pulled my knees back up to my chest and hissed at him.
The same thought seemed to register on his mind because he growled at me. Ryan groaned and stood between us. "Seriously guys? Just because you're cat and dog you have to fight?" I didn't answer him as I was to busy hissing at Joseph again. He growled and leapt at the counter, but someone grabbed him from behind.
"Ryan, if you can calm your cat down, I can get this one to stop." a boy with olive skin said. The way he talked and looked made me think Spanish, but I couldn't tell.
"Dustian, stop hissing or I will hide your treats so well you can't find them." Ryan threatened. I shut up immediately and eyed him with suspicion. He wouldn't... "I will." Dammit, he was good.
"Joseph, if you don't stop you'll sleep outside tonight." the newcomer threatened him.
Joseph stopped growling and started whimpering instead. "Please don't Roberto. I'll be nice." he begged the older guy, Roberto.
"And the cat?" Roberto asked Ryan. Part of me felt embarrassed about the way I was being referred to, but the other part of me was struggling between wanting to avoid getting in trouble and trying to scratch the damn dog's eyes out.
I felt Ryan's hand tighten on my shoulder and I looked down. "I'll be good."
Marco laughed and we all turned to him. "I just realised, I'm the only straight person in the frat, and I'm Vanilla. Literally everyone else is a Pet, Owner, or Master."
Roberto rolled his eyes and walked past me, not without throwing a warning glance my way, and turned on the stove. "Joseph, you're washing dishes." The dog whined and walked past me, and our eyes locked and held for a few seconds, both of us trying to intimidate the other. I broke first and looked down. I saw him smirk as he kept walking.
"I'll go get rid of all the people left from the party. You want to come Ryan?" Marco asked, heading to the door.
Ryan looked at me and I gave him a small smile. "Sure. Try not to fight with Joseph, okay?" As he followed Marco out the door, I let my eyes drift to the dog.
"If you're gonna stare at Joseph, do it while getting the eggs out." Roberto said, melting some butter on a pan.
I narrowed my eyes at him, he couldn't see because his back was turned, but went to the fridge anyways. I hated how Doms always knew when a Sub was doing something wrong. It was like a spider-sense. Dom-sense.
I got the eggs out and handed them to Roberto. "Thank you." It was the way he said it that made me want to start clawing. "And stop thinking about attacking me." Stupid Dom-sense.
My phone rang. Thank God! I quickly answered it and put it to my ear. "Hello?"
"Dustian! Where the hell are you?! We've been searching for you for hours! Some guys in suits came by, asking if you were here because you'd been KICKED OUT OF YOUR FUCKING HOUSE!" Sarah's voice blasted into my ear.
I winced from the loud voice. "I'm in a frat house. A guy found me last night and brought me here so I'd have a place to sleep."
"A FUCKING FRAT HOUSE?! WHAT'S THE NAME?! THE LETTERS?!" Couldn't she stop yelling?
I looked at Roberto, who was still turned away from me. "AOL." Dom-sense.
"AOL. Josh probably knows where it is." I said, waiting for the next screams.
It was quiet for a second. "We'll be there in twenty. Have all your stuff together." Then she hung up.
"Who was that?" I jumped and turned around. Just Ryan.
"My friend Sarah. She'll be here in twenty to p-pick me up."
Why'd I start stuttering?
I saw the hurt in his eyes. "You're leaving already?"
I bit my lip and nodded. Then, unbelievably, an idea came to me. If it failed, adoption center here I come. If not, well... "I'll be right back." I said. Then I made a mad dash for Ryan's room.
I quickly got out my laptop and fired it up, heading straight for the Pet chatroom.
Salamander here, I have a choice to make. I am getting picked up by some friends from a frat house, where I spent the night. There is a really nice Owner here that I like, and I think he likes me. Should I risk things with him, or go with my friends?
Five seconds later, I had my response.
Salamander, if you really like him then of course you should stay! If he doesn't like you back, then there is no harm done compared to if you had left and not met anyone at all. Good luck!
-Fluffy
Thanks Fluffy. I quickly closed down the laptop and set it back in my bag. I heard a car horn beep and I saw Josh's red Jeep thingamabob. I never could remember what it was called.
I walked downstairs, leaving my stuff. I turned into the living room and was met with a shouting match. "He is leaving right now!" Sarah screamed, shoving Ryan backwards.
"Does he get a choice in this?!" he shouted back, clearly having trouble keeping his cool. "I overheard the phone call. You didn't even ask if he wanted to leave!"
"Of course I didn't! Pets don't get a decision!" My whole body froze and I just stared at her. Ryan glanced my way and she turned around, eyes wide. "I-I d-didn't mean that Dustian. I swe-!"
I didn't hear the rest. I slammed Ryan's door behind me as soon as I made it into the room and locked it. Decision made for me. I sat down against the wall, pulling my knees to my chest. I'd been a legal adult for three days, and I'd already been kicked out of my home, nearly raped, and been told my opinions didn't matter because of what I was by my best friend.
I cried. For what must have been the thousandth time in three days I cried. Someone knocked on the door, but I didn't bother answering. "Dustian? I-I'm sorry. I was just mad about what's been happening and..." She sighed and I heard her sit on the other side of the wall. "Your brother told me everything. I was so mad at what they did to you, and then that Ricky guy started talking about how maybe you didn't want to leave and I just snapped. I'm sorry. Will you please open the door?"
I sobbed and reached out, pulling the lock down and letting the for swing open. She walked through and wrapped her arms around me. "I swear I'm sorry Dustian. You know I didn't mean that, right?" she asked, pulling back.
I bit my lip and nodded. She may be the single rudest and most violent person on the planet, but she never meant to hurt anyone that badly. "I-it's o-okay."
"Hey what's going on? Some guy is punching walls down there." Zack said as he walked into the room, Josh right behind him.
"Me and him had a little argument and I said some things I shouldn't have. But I do think I owe him an apology. Right Dustian?" Sarah asked with a wink, making me blush and look down. I hadn't said a word and she already knew I liked him.
Zack and Josh exchanged a look and nodded. They helped me to my feet and we all started walking downstairs. I noticed a fist-sized whole in the wall and an overturned chair, but didn't say anything.
We all walked into the kitchen and saw Ryan muttering something under his breath. "R-Ryan?"
His eyes snapped towards me and then to Sarah. "Look, I just want to say I'm sorry. Dustian should get a choice about this." Sarah said before he could say anything. His eyebrows raised but he nodded.
"And what is his choice?" he asked, staring right into my eyes.
I blushed and looked away. "C-can I s-stay?" When I looked back at him, I saw a smile playing at the corners of his lips.
"Of course you can. Besides, didn't you say something last night about coming to this college?" he asked, the smile creeping onto his face slightly.
"What?!" Sarah exclaimed, pulling me around to face her. "Is that what those guys in suits were about?!"
I blushed and nodded. "Y-yeah. T-they said my g-grades were good e-enough to g-get me in."
She squealed loudly and hugged me hard enough that I think something broke. I saw Josh smile and Zack smirk at me, and once Mage heard the news she would freak. My phone went off again and I managed to get it out of my pocket as Sarah pulled away.
"Hello?"
"Dustian Parker? We spoke yesterday?"
My eyes widened and I covered the microphone. "This is kinda private guys." They nodded understandably and I walked outside.
"Yes I remember. Although, you never said your names." I told him, a tinge of annoyance creeping into my voice.
He chuckled. "I'm Ray Charles. My shorter associate is Micheal Montgomery." So this is the tall one. "We've managed to schedule a press conference for tonight at eight o'clock. We can have someone pick you up, but we don't know where you are." He said with another chuckle. I liked him. He was kinda funny. In a way I didn't understand, but still funny.
"I stayed the night at a frat house with the letters AOL. I don't know what it means, but they are pretty nice." Well, everyone except Nickolai and Sage. Roberto and Joseph too, but that might have just been my bias.
"Okay. I've been past there before. You are allowed to bring five people with you, but only your Owner is allowed onstage with you..." He trailed off for a second and it felt a little awkward.
"What should I wear?" Good, change subject. Avoid worrying about an Owner for now.
"Dress to impress. A suit would be best. If you don't have one, try and get something you feel comfortable in. After all, if you can't impress, just dress." He said with another chuckle.
I chuckled too. It was kinda funny. "Okay. I'll be seeing you then. Wait, how did you get my number?" I asked, my eyes narrowing.
He chuckled nervously. "We lied and said we work with the adoption center to keep this press conference secret until tonight. After we said that, your father happily gave us your number. He muttered something about sending your mother to check on you when you ended up caught."
Great, now my dad is trying to get me thrown into the pound. I visibly flinched from the thought. "O-okay. C-collar?"
"Yea. State law says all Pets must wear their collars in public. Sorry."
"It's okay. I kinda like it." I muttered the last part, but from his laugh he heard it.
"Your car should be there at about 7:30. Good luck."
He hung up and I ran inside. "Sarah, call Mage and get her here. We've got to be ready to go at 7:30!"
Timeskip brought to you by the Lunarian Army.
I watched the clock impatiently. Still five minutes. I whined unconsciously and heard everyone chuckle. "Anxious?" Ryan asked from my right, making me blush.
None of us had any suits our fancy clothes, so we all had our most comfortable outfits on, except Zack. He claimed his most comfortable outfit was being naked, something that made Josh blush darker than I had ever seen, and instead was wearing a dark plaid over a grey T-shirt.
My own outfit was my jacket over a bright blue shirt with Captain America's symbol on it. Ryan looked amazing... Uh, I meant he was wearing a red shirt that was loose enough it didn't make it look like he was trying to impress anyone, but still tight enough that anyone could see he was built.
I sighed and looked at the clock again. One minute had passed. I groaned and banged my head against Ryan's shoulder. They all chuckled again.
I watched the minutes tick by until finally it hit 7:30. At the same time, a car horn beeped outside. I jumped and started dragging two people out the door. I saw the car and stopped, letting go of the two arms as my own dropped in awe.
Car was a simple way to describe it. A stretch limousine was parked in front of the house, with a chauffer opening the door and holding out for us while I stared in amazement. "We must hurry Sir."
I heard Zack whistle from behind me as I nodded. We all climbed into the limo and sat down, me choosing to sit next to Ryan for no reason at all, and looked around.
There was a large flat-screen TV and a huge cooler that was in easy reach of all the seats and full of sodas and chocolates. And two men in suits sitting across from me. Two familiar men.
"Hello Dustian. I see you're dressed comfortably." Mr. Charles said.
I blushed slightly and nodded. "It's good to see you again too Mr. Charles. And you Mr. Montgomery."
They both frowned. "Just Ray and Micheal, please."
I nodded and laid my head against Ryan's shoulder. He was always so comfortable... I saw a few eyebrows raise, but they ignored it.
We discussed things about the press conference while the chauffer drove. Apparently, the press still had no idea what this was about, but plenty of reporters had agreed once they heard it would change the world. I blushed and looked down at that part. Changing the world was a bit of a stretch in my opinion.
It didn't take long until the limo pulled into an underground garage. To protect the secret of the conference they said. We were quickly ushered into the room with the stage, slightly offstage though. I peeked around a curtain, just out of curiosity, and saw over fifty people. It was standing room only, and there were a few camera crews setting up in the back. Talk about curiosity killing the cat.
Mr. Charles, Ray, walked onstage and the room silenced immediately. Me and a few other people took our seats onstage and waited. "Hello everybody. Thank you for coming. We'd like the conference to-"
"What's this all about Ray?" a male reporter asked, pencil pressed against the paper.
Ray's jaw tensed. "I'm about to get to that part Isaiah. You all have heard of the Colton Zalameraz incident right?" Nods around the room, and I saw Isaiah go to speak again. A harsh look from Ray cut him off. "Well, we in the Department of Submissive Affairs collected a case and took it to the President. We kept this silent from you all to keep the public out of this until it was ready. He liked the idea and asked Congress to look over it. And they have given us a trial period and allowed us to choose a few people to test this on."
"Get to the point!" Someone yelled from the back. A small smile crept onto my face.
"We are letting a specialised Sub from each state into a university that is in that state for whatever job they want." he said, ripping the bandaid off.
Uproar. All across the room people were shouting and raising their hands. Ray pointed at a female reporter in the second row. "What about the specialised Subs already in colleges and jobs beyond what most people would expect from them? States like California already allow things like this to happen."
"Good question. But only specific colleges do this, and even then that is maybe one or two Subs a year. If this panned out, all colleges would have to allow the specialised Subs that met the requirements in. Next question."
Isaiah was practically throwing his hand in Ray's face, so Ray sighed and nodded at him. "Who is the specialised Sub for here?"
Ray smiled and nodded. "I'll go ahead and introduce him for you. Everyone, meet Dustian Parker." He beckoned me forward and a few people clapped as I walked to the podium, a blush creeping onto my face.
I stood in front of the podium and Ray patted me on the back before backing up. I turned to the crowd and tried to pretend they weren't all staring at me. "H-hi."
Another uproar went up and hands were in the air instantly. I was a little taken back, but pointed at a reporter in the front row. "What's your classification?"
"I-I'm a P-pet. A cat." I said, forcing a small amount of strength into my words.
I pointed at another reporter who was wearing some fancy hat. "What's your Major going to be in?"
"W-writing." I said and pointed at the girl from before.
"Are you going to be an author?"
I smiled and nodded. "I have also considered trying for a double Major in Journalism, but that depends on what the college will allow."
I saw a few smiles from the reporters and someone else's hand caught my attention. "What college will you be attending?"
"The u-university here in t-town." I said and pointed at Isaiah, who looked ready to explode.
"Do you have an Owner?"
I felt my cheeks warming up as Ray pulled me back. "Okay! That's enough questions for tonight! He'll be joining at the start of the new semester. Thank you and goodnight!" He said as he led me offstage, where everyone was waiting.
Sarah hugged me and Zack gave me a high five. Mage looked like she was about to faint. Josh was smiling and staring at Zack, the pervert. I looked for Ryan and saw him heading towards us with a can of Dr Pepper. I took it graciously and downed the whole thing in a few gulps.
Ray led us back outside and we climbed into the limo. I snuggled closer to Ryan and watched everyone else get in. So warm... I was emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted. "Let's get you home Dustian. Something tells me we've got a big day tomorrow." Ryan whispered against my hair.
I nodded and closed my eyes. "Okay..." Then it was dark.
5615 words! I'm so sorry for the long wait everyone! My phone was taken up and I had pretty bad writer's block for a while. In case you didn't notice, there is a lot of drama building up and it's going to probably going to be getting a little bit more serious. (This is already the most serious thing I've ever written that wasn't a rant!) I'm planning more updates for My Dirty Mind..., but I'll start working on the next chapter after this one uploads. I hope you enjoyed! Please vote! It helps my self-esteem...
