Serena

As I was in the base, I was thinking all the things had happen. It has been weird for everyone, especially for me, mostly because of Ash. 

Ash helped me so much since we were kids and now here we are, five years later, as a Pokémon Guardian and leader of the Resistance against evil organizations, like Team Flare. 

"Serena?" I hear someone ask me, and with my great surprise, it was Bonnie, with Dedenne and Squishy by her side. 

"Bonnie? What's wrong?" I asked my friend with a serious look on my face. 

"I was wondering about how you were feeling with Ash being back? I know that you must be feeling weirded out of finding out he was destined to be a Pokémon Guardian." 

I was amazed of how she remained so calm, like it never bothered her or freaking out of this. 

"Bonnie, how you remain so calmed about Ash?" I asked the Trainer. 

She shrug at me, "I guess that I'm used to it by now. Ash trusted me when he first arrived at the base and told me about his disappearance. 

He was scared, Ser. Imagine if you were in his shoes, would you do the same thing?"

I thought about it, and Bonnie's right. If I was Ash, I would be overwhelmed of everything had happened, and getting trust isn't easy.

As if on cue, a Pokémon appears and Bonnie and I were stunned.

"A Latias?" We exclaimed.

Ash came close behind, and he panted with sweat, "Latias, you are fast than I remembered." Then he notices us. 

"Oh, Hi, guys." He said, sheepishly.

Ash

As I catch up with Pikachu and Latias, I can't believe how much she has improved her speed over the years since I last saw her in Altmore.

I said, felt sweaty and exhausted of using my Guardian powers just to catch up with them, "Latias, you are fast than I remembered." 

Latias seems be blushing of what I've said, Pikachu seems to laughing at her. 

As I looked up, I see how stunned of Bonnie and Serena was of seeing Latias in the base. 

I rubbed my head and sheepishly greeted the girls. 

"Oh, Hi, guys." I greeted them. Nobody said a word until Bonnie asks, "Ash, you do realize that there is a Latias riding Pikachu, right?"

"Oh, it's not a wild Latias, Bonnie. She's an old friend of ours. In fact, she's part of my team now." I explained to the Trainer. 

Brock came and when he saw Latias, he was freaking out. "Ash, is that Latias?!? H-How did-" 

"Take a breath, Brock. Geez, man, I thought that you're not that mad of what Latias did a long time ago, are you?" I asked, remembering that she gave me a peck cheek kiss when we were leaving Altmore.

"Yeah, I still am. But why she here?"

I still don't know how to bring out that I've found a Latiasinte Key and Mega Stone to the others, but suddenly Lucario immediately comes out of his Pokeball and gave me a stern look on his face.

"Master Ash, you must tell them. It is the right thing to do, you know that as well as I do." He said through his Aura.

 I sigh as I touched the Stone and Key Stone. I guess there is one way to tell them. 

"Hey, Bonnie, can I talk to you?"

She was confused by my request, but she follows me. 

"Ash, what's wrong?" She asks curiously. 

"I need to do a unofficial battle. Tonight." 

"Are you sure? Why?" 

"Let's just say I have something that you need to see, then we tell them about it. It really helps me out with this." 

"All right. But which Pokémon would you want battle against?" 

"Squishy, if he's up for it." I replied.

Bonnie

I really don't know what Ash is planning but I hope this battle have all the answers.

"Squishy, let's battle!" 

Squishy was ready. 

"Latias, you're up!!" Ash said.

"You said that you knew Latias . Was she part your team after you became a Pokémon Guardian?" I ask.

The Guardian chuckles at me, "No, I met her in Altmore. It was when I was still a Pokémon Trainer, like you are right now. 

Latias, use Dragon Pulse!" 

"Squishy, Dodge it!" I commanded. 

"Now, use Earthquake!" The ground shakes as Latias looked at Ash. 

He was stunned of the attack. 

"Since when Squishy use Earthquake?" 

"I discovered that Squishy has hidden attacks I never knew about. Earthquake was one of them." 

"Impressive." He said, felt eager to continue to battle.

"Latias go high up in the air and use Dragon Breath!" 

"What?!?" I yelled in surprise as Squishy took a hit.

"Beat that, Bonnie." Ash said.

"Squishy, can you go on?"

"Yeah, let's go, Bonnie. I'm with you."  He said.

"Use Double Team!" I commanded, but Ash smiled as if he had something he had planned.

"Ready, Latias? It's about time we showed Bonnie what we're made of! 

Mega Evolve!" 

I was in total shock as Latias changed her form into her Mega Evolution.

"Wait, is that what I think it is? It's..." 

"Mega Evolve Latias. Yeah, um, I didn't tell anyone besides Max about it. When I defeated Lysandre back at Prism Tower, I found a Mega Latiasinte Key and Mega Stones." 

I rolled my eyes, "And you didn't bother to tell us until now? Ash, you know that Serena would kill you for keeping this a secret from her." 

Ash said, "I know. Pikachu and Lucario wanted me to tell you guys, but I have to make sure what type of Mega and Key Stone it is and can it be used properly. 

That is why I went back to Arceus first to check it out, and then..."

"Have a battle with me, to see what it can do." I said, realizing now that Ash wanted this battle in the first place.

" Now, let's wrap this up! Latias, use Solar Beam on Squishy!" He said. 

The attack was bigger than I ever suspected as the Mega Evolved Pokémon unleashed its attack and Squishy was unable to battle. 

"Squishy!" I exclaimed as Latias returns to her original form.

Ash seems to smile a bit, but then he was stopped by a mysterious force.

Ash

As I smile, I was suddenly in a different dimension.

"Bonnie?" I asked, "Pikachu, Latias?" 

No one was around me, but I saw something . A boy around 17 was consumed by dark magic.

"Oh, no." I said. Then memories flooded through me. My dad and my mom was against the house and I was protecting two boys. 

My little brothers, Red and ... Roma.

"Ash, you have to get Red and Roma out of here! Now." Dad said, using his Pokémon, a Pidgeotto, to get the bad guys off of us.

"Ash!" Red said, as we run as fast we can.

But we were separated and Roma was captured.

As I snapped back into the present, Bonnie ask, "Ash? Ash, you all right?"

I knew I have to find Roma. 

"Lucario, I want you to stay with Serena. Pikachu, you and Latias come with me." I said.

"Master, what is gone into you?"  Lucario ask.

"I kept a dark secret that Ser can't know. Not even Red can remember." I replied.

I rode on Latias and we went to find Roma.

As we were flying, a Pokémon hit us towards the ground!

"Latias, Pikachu, you guys all right?" I asked.

They nod, "Yeah. But what was that about?"

I turned and I saw him. It was Roma.

"Roma!" I cried.

Roma chuckles, "So, you remembered me, dear brother?" 

"Roma, whatever happened to you, I'm so sorry, being a Pokémon Guardian is a risky choice, but it has been my destiny. 

Roma attacks as I said, "Roma, please, I know that you don't want to do this! I almost lost Red when he was controlled by evil forces, I don't want to lose you too!" 

As I thought was lost, someone yelled, "Pidgeotto, use Protect!" 

Pidgeotto did as instructed as I exclaimed at the person before me.

"Uh, Dad!" I said.

"We will get Roma back to us, but we need to get to safety." Dad said, sternly.

"Pikachu, use Electro ball now!" 

Pikachu did as instructed as we escaped.

Dad said, "Ashton, what were you thinking??! I know that you are a Pokémon Guardian, but this is more serious dark magic." 

"I thought of getting Roma back. Was he mind-controlled like Team Flare did to Red?"

"Yes, he is. By an evil organization named, Team Rocket." 

"Team Rocket?!? But why did Team Rocket want with Roma?"

"To lure you into the darkness, Roma is under mind controlled after you were summoned to become a Guardian. For years, I tried to rescue Roma, but it is no use. 

Red suffered a coma, he doesn't remember Roma, but you do remember how?"

"Honestly, Dad? I really don't know how to describe how I remembered Roma after all this time. One thing is for sure, I won't give up of releasing Roma from Giovanni's control."

 "It seems you never changed, don't you, Ashton?" He laughs. 

I rubbed my head, "I guess, but I still wished that I had the powers of the Pokémon Guardian back then. I would've protect you, Delia, Red and Roma." 

"You weren't ready, Ash, and you didn't realize you were destined to become a Guardian.

It's not your fault. It's Giovanni and his goons." 

I sat on a rock as Pikachu said, "I thought that Red was your only brother, but you had two brothers I didn't know!"

"Sorry, buddy. But I had to keep Roma a secret. I didn't protect him like an older brother should, like Clement and Brock does with their siblings. 

It has to stop. I can't loose my brothers." 

"Then let's go stop Giovanni and rescue your brother. If anything you taught me during our Journeys together is that don't give up until it's over." 

"I'll scout ahead and go undercover with your friend, Lance, one of the Elite Four members. He might help us out." 

"Great idea. I'll head back at the Resistance, hopefully that Bonnie wouldn't be too worried." 

As we returned, Bonnie said, "Ash Ketchum, where you been? I was so worried..." 

She sees my dark expression that she knew something was wrong.

I revealed my connection to my younger brother and his sudden appearance.

"So, Red doesn't remember he has another brother and he's been mind-controlled by Team Rocket, like he was when Team Flare did to him?"

"Yeah, but Dad is trying his best to find more information about Roma's dark energy. I can't sense his good presence in him." 

"Ash, we will find Roma. I'm going to help, even going behind Serena's orders." 

"Bonnie, you really would do that for me?"

"Of course. what kind of a friend I'll be if one of my friends needed help the most? Just leave the rest to Squishy and me." She winked.

Serena

As I watched Bonnie, she was helping Ash out, but what? 

I ask Brock to help me to figure out what Ash and Bonnie is up to.

"Sure, but I will help you anyway I can." 

Oh, Ash, what is happening to you? You just came back home. To me. 

Is it something I've done? 

Bonnie

I still can't believe that Ash has two brothers. 

But I understand why he kept Roma a secret from us, it was to protect him. 

I really don't want to let Ash down, I still remember how bad he felt about Red being mind controlled by Lysandre and Team Flare.

Now it's happening again, with Roma. 

"Roma... Ash and I will bring you home. That's a promise I am not willing to break."  I thought in my mind.

Squishy said, "I will ask an old friend to help us in our mission." 

I turned to my Legendary Pokémon, "What friend? Is it someone we know?" 

As my surprise, it was no other than Greninja! 

"Greninja! Squishy, you are really smart to let Greninja to help us out." 

He put us a thumbs up and scout ahead.

"I still wonder how Ash is coping with all of this. It's like he never had a chance to have a normal day to relax and be with us. Danger always find him." I said, felt scared.

"You have to give Ash a break, Bonnie. Being a Pokémon Guardian and being a brother isn't easy."  Squishy reminds me.

"Yeah, you're right. Let's go on ahead and hopefully we can Team Rocket's balloon. Jessie is waiting for us." 

"Jessie from Team Rocket? I thought she was one of the bad guys!" 

"She's undercover Agent, working for the International Police." I explained, "It was quite a shock when she came to me for help." I replied.

Jessie appears in her black outfit, and said, "Lawrence gave me all the brief of what's going on. Man, I never though of all these years, Ash is a Pokémon Guardian."

"Yeah, but it still have troubles. He just saved Red, now he has to save Roma. I felt bad of keeping all of this a secret from everyone."  I said.

"Come on, Bonnie. Keeping secrets aren't easy. Let's hope Ash knows what he's doing." 

We went to the hot air balloon and flew to find Giovanni's headquarters.
