Winter came rushing towards the emergency sections of the hospital. Close right behind her is Aeri, Ningning, and Key. Of all of them four, no one can deny that Winter is the most frantic among them. After hearing the news from the police at the scene, Key is the one who called Winter to come as well, knowing how close the bodyguard is to the actress.

Like a frantic idiot, Winter gets up from her bed immediately as soon as she heard what had happened to Karina. Her tears already fall freely and Winter didn't even try to stop them. With her pajamas, drooly mouth, and messy hair, she drove her bike as soon as she can to the hospital.

It was a fatal mistake.

Should Winter trust Karina to just stay at home that night? She did. But the actress didn't tell anything to Winter about going out. Now that this happens again, how can Winter tell herself again to breathe and move on?

She could die just because of Karina.

"Karina Yu! Where's Karina Yu?", Winter asked the nurse she met as soon as she entered the emergency ward. The nurse gasped once before guiding the four people to follow her into the most corner sections of the ward. Maybe the most discreet with the most privacy among all of the emergency wards.

As soon as Winter slides the baby blue curtain, she could see Karina with her cemented left hand, currently smiling warmly towards all four people who are standing in front of her bed. But her eyes mainly focus on one and only Winter Kim.

"Hi?", Karina greeted awkwardly, squinted her eyes towards her visitors.

Aeri exhales in gratefulness. Ningning hands are both on her waist. Key massaging her aching head. They are grateful that the actress was fine, despite the broken left hand and a tiny injury on her forehead.

The truck didn't hit her thankfully, as the truck driver aka a wanted criminal managed to make a sudden turn to the left and hit a lampost by the road as the result. But still, when the truck spun before hitting the lampost, the back of the truck hit the actress's car on the front which left the car 20% damaged.

Karina fainted on the scene after her head knocked on the car door window right next to her.

"Thank God, Karina! We felt like dying!", Key confessed with his worried face. Karina couldn't say anything as her answer. She slightly felt guilty for making everyone worried about her.

The actress shifted her focus back to Winter. The younger woman looks like a mess. Her eyes were still red, and Karina knows well the reason why. She shouldn't go out without telling Winter in the first place, because the actress knew how much Winter cared about her. Karina smiled softly at the younger woman. Her face shows how much she feels guilty about it. She knew it must be hard for Winter as well.

"Hi, Wint-"

Not until the younger woman suddenly hugged her.

It was a surprise for sure. Winter acted so tough all this time. She wanted to avoid the public interest all the time. But knowing that Karina's well-being is Winter's biggest weakness, Winter wants to hold her.

At least just this one time.

"I'm sorry, Winter...", Karina said as she stroked the back of the younger woman with her right hand. Winter's holds around Karina's shoulder were never loosened, and Karina could feel the cold sweat and the trembling body of the younger woman. "I promised to tell you next time".

Winter didn't answer like she always did. While Key go away to settle something at the counter, and Aeri and Ning were nowhere around out of blue, Winter never let Karina go at this moment, and yet Karina didn't even protest a tiny bit. She missed being in Winter's hold.

"Winter, I-"

"One minute", Winter finally spoke out.

"Let me hug you for another minute", she continued. Karina nodded her head silently, letting herself get mesmerized by Winter's warmth and scent. Why does she miss this so much? It feels like Winter warmth was a type of medicine to all of Karina's sadness. Just letting herself deep with Winter gives her more than just peace of mind. She felt like Winter is her home.

Karina planted herself in Winter's neck. Her hands around Winter's waist just got tighter. "I thought I lost you", Winter confessed.

"I'm here, Winter. I'm sorry".

It was a painful view for Karina as well. Seeing Winter in her breakdown shattered Karina's heart. But, suddenly she remembered what she wanted to ask Winter the most right now.

"Hey, Winter...", Karina said. "Have you ever given me a Swarovski before?", she continued and her question is enough to make Winter pull herself away from the hug in a flash.

"W-What did you say?"

"A Swarovski jewelry. Have you ever given me one before?", the actress continued.

Winter's eyes went wide open. She couldn't believe what she heard just now. Did Karina just--

"I saw an image of you giving me a Swarovski gift bag just before I got hit by the truck. Is what I'm seeing true, Winter? Can you explain?", Karina asked, pulling Winter by the hem of her pajamas. Winter still looking at her in disbelief, trying to deny every statement that came out from the older woman's mouth.

"I don't understand what you are saying", Winter answered not with her usual cold voice. This one, the trembling and soft voice can be heard coming out from the bodyguard. It feels like Karina just got a view of her old Winter for a moment.

"I saw a black car that crashed into me. Did you somehow... know about this? Because... I don't know if what I'm seeing is real or not...".

Winter was struck for the second time. This isn't good. This really isn't good. The doctor said that the memory loss was permanent. How come Karina can start to remember? Is this a miracle? Even if it is, Winter doesn't want to let this miracle continue. She will use every will she has to stop making Karina remember.

But to highlight again, Karina's well-being is Winter's weakness. When she wants to avoid her, the situation just makes them closer. How can Winter get away from that?

"I don't know, Rina", Winter sighed heavily not until the actress pulled her back into a hug. Winter just let her be, and carefully did not put pressure on Karina's broken hand.

"Winter, please...", Karina begged more than enough to crush Winter's heart even more. Her breath becomes heavier and her chest feels tighter than before. First the accident, now the memory recovery. Suddenly, Winter felt scared more than ever. So she forced herself to pull away from the hug and from the bed as well. Now the younger woman just standing right next to it, covering her face full of frustration.

"I really- don't know", the younger woman groans, still hiding her own face behind her hands while slowly walking away from the bed.

Karina can't help it. She's keeping this frustration of hers for years just for herself, and she can't help but spill it on Winter. The person she trusts the most for time being.

But Winter was avoiding her again by pulling the curtain shut. Karina could see that Winter was standing just beside the curtain and with the overflowing emotions she had right now, Karina broke into silent tears on the bed.

At least Winter is still there with her, even tho she isn't with her.

As soon as Karina arrived at the room, she heard gasps mostly from everyone inside there. Why not? Last week, the actress was just fine. Now there are wound traces on Karina's forehead, also the hard rock cement on Karina's left hand. But still, the actress just flashed her usual smile and waved her other hand happily towards all the staff members there. Right behind her are Key and Winter, who came in with 10 cups of coffee inside their hands. It's a normal occasion between actors and staff members to do this.

It's the second session of script reading for the drama. Thank god, this time Karina wasn't anywhere near Yuna or she might punch Yuna in the face when she arrived in the room just now with a sarcastic smile on her face.

Both actresses holding the script book in their hands, now looking at each other's with eyes full of annoyance, trying to get into their roles.

"I'm dating her", Yuna said with a sympathetic look on her expression. Karina's eyes widen in shock and panic and looking straight into Yuna's annoying eyes.

"You are dating Min Seola?", Karina replied.

"Is that true? Did Shim Suryeon know about this?", Karina continued. Yuna still looking at Karina with the same expression.

"She knew", the younger actress replied and Karina's mouth widen in disbelief at Yuna's statement. Karina looked at Yuna from head to toe in disgust. This is unbelievable.

In the drama, the character Oh Yoonhee and Min Seola is supposed to be a professor and college student who hate each other. But they ended up dating, and Karina who will play the role of Cheon Seojin who is Oh Yoonhee's friend was shocked by the statement.

"You crazy, bitch. You hate her, yet you date her?", Karina continued her lines.

"I don't care what you will say", Yuna answered.

"Are the lines always this- cringey?", Winter whispered to Key at the back of where the cast members sitting. Key nodded his head. "It's always been like this since season one. It's weird that the audience liked it", Key answered.

"I never thought Renthouse gonna continue for another season".

All the staff and the cast members were having a good time at the end of the event that day. They took the food from the food tent before taking their seats anywhere they want.

Karina sitting beside Aeri, with lots of meat inside her tiny plates. Aeri just shook her head in disbelief at how the actress's appetite sometimes was too much for her to control. When Aeri just wants to nag the actress, a loud high-pitched happy shriek coming from near the food tent succeeds to bring everyone's attention there to the scene.

It's Yuna again, no wonder.

"OH MY GOD, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GIFT!", Yuna pressed every word she said clearly so Karina can hear it. The older actress somehow just rolled her eyes in annoyance. Yuna trying to show off to her, again. Like she always did.

The fan who gave Yuna the gift walked away, and sooner after Yuna walk towards Karina with a happy smirk on her face. She shakes the tiny box inside her hand in front of Karina's table violently and pouts her lips with her eyes full of love looking at the box.

"OH-MY-GOD-- I got a gift!", Yuna said.

"I have eyes, Shin Yuna...", Karina tried her best to ignore the younger actress. She just wants to eat her meat peacefully, and Yuna's there, shaking her butt left and right, it wants to make Karina puke.

After the moments when Yuna has her emotional glory, she proudly left the scene with her hands up in the air and her shrieking laughs. Karina just sighs out heavily and tried to enjoy every piece of her meat again, which incredibly fail when the picture of Yuna and her grossly shaking butt flashed in Karina's mind.

"That girl never fails to piss you off huh?", Aeri wanted to laugh, but if she did, Karina might punch the woman in the face to release her anger towards the younger actress with the name Shin Yuna.

"She envied me. What can I even do?", Karina said before stabbing the meat in her plate with the plastic fork, then shoving it in her own mouth. Chewing the protein painfully slow, Aeri knew if she say a word more about Yuna, the actress will blow up.

"So where will you go after this? Home?", Aeri asked and Karina nodded her head.

"Got to recap something".

"I want to search for something", the actress continued.

Karina pulled off her boots and throw her sling bag on the couch before she pulled out her working chair and turn on her computer.

The flashbacks she had a few days ago never stop conquering her mind, Thus making Karina much more curious about her past. She keeps wondering if what she saw was a real event or just a mere hallucination.

She's typing the date of the car crash and she found tons of articles about it. It's not like she never searches about this before, but Karina never had the intention to see it again or to know more about it before.

But now she wants to know.

Seoul, April 8th, 2020: A hit-and-run case at the intersection, Downtown Seoul here has seriously injured a 23 years old woman by the name of Karina Yu. Seoul OCPD Asst. Comm. Lee Sooman said the incident occurred at 1 am involving a black sedan and a Mini Cooper S.
