Winter feels nauseous. Sure she did cuz she taste the same drug as well. Only is that the amount Karina used on her lips is more than Winter did on the tip of her tongue. It worries Winter so much. She didn't care much about her nausea. All she cares about is the unconscious Karina.

Winter definitely dealt with drug cases through her careers and she can tell if it's a drug or not. What she can't tell is the types of drugs used. Whether it's harmful, or just makes Karina fall into a temporary sleep.

What if the drugs are the type of drugs that attacks the inside of your body?

What will happen to her wife?

Not in a million years did Winter want to lose her wife again.

As soon as they arrived at the hospital, Karina was taken into the emergency ward while Winter stood right beside her, trying to push away the hazy feelings inside her head. The doctor examined Karina and Winter gave the lipstick for future examinations.

She even called the police in charge of the threatening case to come. A few minutes after, the doctor came back with an analysis, and everyone there tried to be focused as much as they can.

"The result came out and it was boar's blood mixed with GHB. It's usually used as a date rape drug in clubs to knock out their victims. Thankfully, Miss Yu here didn't apply the lipstick that much on her lips but the strong taste will definitely knock her out", the doctor said.

"She'll wake up in a couple of hours. Don't worry,  she'll be okay", he continued, assuring everyone that was there for Karina.

As soon as the doctor left, Winter asked the police if they can investigate the matter for her because she knew, her condition won't allow her to do some information digging right now.

Plus, Karina is still here unconscious. How can she leave her?

"I'm begging you, please... find him...", Winter said and the policeman nodded his head.

"We'll work hard for this. This is just too much", he said before leaving the scene.

All left there were Karina, Winter, Key, and Aeri. After flashing a small smile toward Karina's manager and stylist, Winter held Karina's left hand tightly with her own before sitting right next to the older woman and resting her dizzy head on the bed.

The drugs hit her as well.

Karina woke up and the first thing she hear was an ambulance sound from nowhere. She looks to her left and right, realizing that she's in the hospital right now. She couldn't recall much of what had happened hours before but the moment she made eye contact with Aeri who just sitting a meter away from her, the stylist immediately stand up from her seat and rushed towards the actress with a sigh of relief.

"Gosh, Rina. Glad that you're finally awake", she said and hold Karina's hand tightly inside her grip.

"What happened? All I remember is that the lipstick tasted weird and I called for Winter. Then, I-- Oh, where's Winter?", Karina asked and Aeri immediately pointed to the bed right next to Karina. The moment Karina turned her head in that direction, she can feel her heart breaks.

"Someone drugged you with that lipstick and Winter tried to figure out the reason by slightly tasting it. You passed out from the amount you tasted and Winter feel nauseous for the past few hours. So, she asked the doctor if she can get treatment for that. The doctor gave her the IV drip, and she just fall asleep".

Winter is sleeping, Aeri is right. Karina can see how the younger woman's chest moved upwards and then downwards. Only is that Winter's face and lips are so pale and the view makes Karina so hard to breathe.

"How long did I pass out?"

"Approximately, four hours?", Aeri answered.

It's been a long time. Karina wonders if she consumes the drugs more than just three swipes on her lips, it might get her into deep trouble.

"The police are investigating who is responsible for the lipstick right now. Now all you need to do is rest assured and be by Winter's side. She's worried sick for you", Aeri said.

Karina's eyes were brought back towards Winter. She gets up from her bed and walks towards Winter's. Her guilty eyes never leave Winter's face. They won't get into trouble if it wasn't for her, the actress thought inside her head.

Suddenly, the actress slowly leans in to leave a soft peck on Winter's lips and Aeri who saw the act rushed towards her in panic. She shut all the curtains around them just to make sure no one was watching.

"Karina, you're crazy! People could see and write articles about that!", the stylist slaps Karina's left arm but the actress replied to Aeri's painful slap with a warm smile. Aeri lifted her eyebrows in confusion.

"I don't care about the articled anymore, Aeri", the actress answered.

"You-- with Winter-- since when?"

"We're nothing, Aeri. I mean... we had no labels, yet. But what I knew is that she used to love me and I did love her as well".

"W-What?"

"I love her, Aeri. I do. I saw some flashbacks of me and Winter. We are so happy together. But now that I can't remember...", Karina sigh heavily.

"It's okay, Rina. I'm sure you'll remember soon. Your flashbacks started when Winter appeared in your life, right? Winter might be the answer to your memories and flashbacks. I think you need her", Aeri came closer to her friend and hugged the actress gently.

"Still, Winter didn't say anything about it?", she asked.

"I trust her, Aeri".

"I trust Winter".

The moment Winter woke up from her sleep, she saw Karina right beside her, looking at something on her phone. Aeri was also there, calling someone. Probably Key or the police. Since Karina didn't see her wake up, Winter make her presence known.

"Rina", she called. Karina immediately shifted her eyes from her phone toward Winter. The older woman smiled for a second before her face turns into a frown.

"I'm sorry for what happened, Winter", she said.

"This is all my fault", the actress continued.

"No. This is all my fault. I failed to protect you again", Winter immediately answered her. Karina flashed a little smile before reaching out her hands to hold Winter's.

"Fine. It's none of our faults. But we really need to catch that guy", Karina said before Winter smiled back as warmly as Karina did towards her.

It wasn't surprising that Winter decided to stay at the actress's house like she used to back in high school after what happened to the actress. Keeping Karina safe might be more important than Winter's own life and she already promised herself to not let this kind of thing happen again.

It also wasn't weird that Karina asked the younger woman to sleep in the same room as her since then. Winter quietly agree and didn't say much.

In that few days, Karina realized how much she had loved Winter all this time even tho she can't remember the exact moment when she fell in love with the younger woman. But Karina never regrets it, not that even her memories don't want to tell her everything.

At least, her heart somehow remembers Winter.

The investigation went on as usual. The day that Winter went out to join the police investigation, she left Yeonjun in charge to keep Karina safe. Winter never knew that the actress will meet her long-lost friend Yeji in four days. It's because Karina doesn't want to tell the younger woman at all.

Winter came to the police station that day, holding three pieces of the letter that she got from Karina's mailbox. As soon as she arrived and sit in front of the familiar policewoman, she put the letters right on top of the keyboard and later she received a confused gaze from the woman.

"Oh, Winter? What's this?", Ryujin asked before Winter held her arms together in front of her chest, sighing heavily.

"It's him. Open up", Winter said. Ryujin got her words and reach out her hands to open the letters one by one, revealing all three letters written in blood with the same words from the first threat letter.

Despite Karina's house being in a tight security area, this guy managed to catch her. They both realized that this guy has been following Karina almost every day. Yet they still didn't know who it is and how to catch him.

"So now, from your opinion, what should we do? Since your job is better than mine", Ryujin asked after putting the letters down and looking straight at Winter. Ryujin did know that Winter was a National Security agent, and she did know that the woman's rank is a lot higher than a normal lieutenant like her. But what she doesn't know is Winter is also the wife of the woman in the car accident case she handled two years ago.

"Let's tighten the security first. It's already this dangerous", Winter said and the policewoman nodded her head.

"Since we know that there's a high probability this guy was following Karina all day long. we can tighten the security around her. When he somehow tried to hurt her and run away, we can catch him", she continued and Ryujin nodded her head again.

"Okay. So, you and your friend will keep guarding her, right?", Ryujin asked, and Winter nodded.

"Yes"

"Then, let's follow your plan"

"You will guard her, we will catch him".

The investigations continued. Winter always wasn't around on the day most of the time because she keep joining the police in their investigations. Winter swears to god if she ever catches that guy, she'll kick his dick thousand times until he cannot pee anymore.

They go through hundreds of CCTV, but that guy always manages to disappear at one moment until they can't trace him anymore. It's confirmed that this guy knew what he was doing, probably an ex-prisoner or just a usual daily criminal.

He really got the skill to do bad things and just disappear without a trace, totally not a newbie criminal at all.

Since the actress is always together with Yeonjun and the day and only time she sees Winter was at night when came back home to the actress's house, Karina really misses her so much these days. She could really feel the loss of Winter's presence and she was not happy with it despite knowing that the bodyguard was out to do her job.

Somehow, Karina felt like this happened a lot before. Only that she can't remember.

She just got those feelings that this always happens.

Winter was out for work during the day and Karina was left at home.

Through the four days, Karina realized the presence of many policemen around her which she expected because Winter had told her. Whenever Karina had a photoshoot in those four days, the police will always guard every exit door. Yeonjun also will always watches her behind the camera.

Winter and the policewoman in charge, which is Ryujin, weren't there. Yet, she already knows the reason.

Four days passed and everything went on safely. No threat letters. Nothing in the mailbox. No hand-cut-glued pictures. No incident.

Karina guessed the plan of guarding her is all well.

It's the day when she will meet Yeji as Mrs. Hwang had told her. Karina just wears comfortable normal clothes that day, and she'll drive towards the house. Yeonjun and a policeman were following her right behind inside another car, which Karina already know.

As she parked her car in front of the Hwang's mansion, right after she pressed the bell, the gate immediately unlocked and opened, suddenly revealing the face she was familiar with but don't remember much, Yeji was running towards her with a big smile and a wide open arms.

"RINA!!!!", Yeji shouted and it succeed to make the actress freak out for a few seconds until the other woman crashed her body with Karina, holding her into a cheerful tight hug.

"OH MY GOD, RINA!!! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!", Yeji said happily and despite the awkward feeling the actress have right now, she knew that the person in front of her is her best friend, and she used to know her. Even Winter knows her.

Not that Winter didn't know that Karina was here today to meet Yeji.

"Hi, Yeji. It's nice to meet you too. I'm sorry but I really--"

"You lost some of your memories right? My mom told me", the sharp-eyed woman release the hug and flashed the actress her happy smile. Karina nodded her head, slightly feeling guilty for not having many memories of her friend.

"It's okay~ Come in! We cooked some food for you!"

"Who are that two guys?", Yeji pointed her finger at the unknown car parked in front of her house. Karina smiled once before shaking her head.

"Don't worry. They are here for me, because I'm too popular and needed that guys to protect me~"

Karina ate with the Hwang family while the Hwangs told stories about Yeji's whereabouts after college. Where she works, how she works, what she does, and where she lives. Karina did the same by telling Yeji how she became an actress a few months after the accident after she was scouted on the road. How her career started from minor roles to big roles, and all of a sudden her name rose like a rocket on top. They had fun talking about their lives.

Karina can feel how happy she is right now, and how the moment wasn't awkward to her at all as time goes by.

Her heart really can tell that she used to be so close to Yeji.

After eating, they continued their small talk in the living room and only Yeji and Karina were there. Yeji was so excited and asked her many questions, but Karina answered them all for her. Not until...

"I'm so thankful that you survived the crash. Winter must have worried a lot for you, Rina", Yeji sulks.

"I guess... she did? I don't know", Karina sigh lightly.

"Talking about Winter, how is she?"

"She's good. She's been living at my house right now~"

"Of course she did! She really loves you that much! It's so gross remembering every moment you guys kissed when the two of you met at college. I want to puke so hard", Yeji laughs, and pushing the slightly confused yet thankful feelings she had right now, the actress sneered at her friend's answer.

"So Winter is really my girlfriend in my college?", Karina asked.

"Yes, you are! Right after high school, she confessed to you and you didn't hesitate to say yes. You guys became so inseparable since then", Yeji shakes her head with her scoffs. Karina couldn't help but smile back.

"So? How's your marriage life? I don't know much since I couldn't 't come to your wedding that day. But how is it? I guess--"

"What?", Karina cut Yeji's words immediately with her eyes widening in shock. Yeji was confused and tilted her head sideways.

"What?", Yeji asked back with a confused expression.

"Married-- what??", Karina asked again and Yeji finally got her.

"Wait-- Did you also lose your memories about that as well??", Yeji asked with her gasp, covering her wide open mouth in shock. Karina slowly nodded her head as the actress's face slowly but surely became paler.

"Rina, you're married!", Yeji stated.

"You and Winter married two years ago! Just three months before your accident!"

"So you don't remember it at all?"

"Karina Yu! Winter is your wife!"

"Your lawful wife, Rina"

and tons of memories gushed inside Karina's head all at once.
