Peridot's POV

No. This can't be happening.

I can't believe she's back..

I can't believe she's back in my life...

I can't let her re-enter my life again..

She might get in a lot of trouble..

I do admit..

I still love her..

But I can't let her get in danger yet again just because of me..

I cleaned up every paper that spreaded across my office.

All of them contained Lapis' Information.

Ever since I saw her application, I started to panic.

I tried to deny her request, but I was already too late.

I was surprised to see her in my office months ago..

Luckily, I was able to act out.

I had no choice but to welcome her in the company.

The only thing that I could do was inform my close friend/assistant Silver about the situation.

But how come Silver made Lapis as her replacement?

I can never understand that woman.

But right now, I have to plan on how to deal with this for a whole week.

I can't just terminate her for no reason.

That would be  suspicious..

I guess for now, I should continue to act like I know nothing.

I hope I won't let my emotions take over me..

Lapis soon came back with the schedule.

"Uhm. I got the schedule that you're asking for.." She said.

I motioned her to sit across my desk.

She lend me the paper and waited for my response.

Damn it. I need to take her everywhere if I want these meetings done.

Damn you, Silver.

I cleared my throat.

"Alright. Thank you, Lazuli." I said.

Ugh. It's been a while since I mentioned her name.

It somehow makes my heart go faster..

But still. I can't let my emotions get through me.

"You can call me Lapis, uhh?" 

"Peridot. You can call me Peridot." I said.

"Alright.. May I ask what you're going to do today..?" She said quite unsure.

I looked back at the schedule and was surprised that I  had my list empty.

"Nothing lately. Why?" I asked.

She looked a bit nervous.

"Is it okay if we uh... Go out for lunch..?" She shyly said.

Damn it. I still can't say no to her face..

"Uh. Sure." I said.

Her face lightened up a bit.

What is she planning?

"Can we go now?" She asked excitingly.

I smiled at her childishness and chuckled.

"Alright." 

Lapis' POV

Omg I can't believe this!

She actually said yes!

Phew.

I have to make her remember me.

Maybe I'll take her somewhere we've been before!

"So uh. Where are we going..?" Peridot said.

"Uhm.. Is it okay if we go somewhere else first before we eat..?" I asked.

She looked confused. But agreed anyways.

"Sure." She said as she smiled.

Her smile is so amazing..

I missed her so much..

I better head somewhere she could remember me from..

But where..?
