Sirius pov

"Oi! Evans!" What a coincidence. Just as I was going to go annoy- I mean spice up Pete's life I see Evans and Marlene walk in huddled together. She looks over to me for a second, then back towards Marlene. I roll up my sleeves. Time for some puns.

I saunter over towards the wall where the girls are standing, and place a hand on the wall casually. The girls stop talking about whatever girly stuff they were talking about, and glare at me.

"Why so Sirius?" I start cracking up at my own joke and Marlene looks like she wants to punch me. Lily however, laughs and says,

"Way to make yourself apart of the conversation Sirius." She pulls her hair up into a ponytail and tells Marlene to relax.

"I know right? I got mad conversation entering skills. By the way, your hair looks fabulous!" Where is James? He would probably be drooling onto the floor if he was standing here. Lily beams and comments on my luxurious mane, okay those were not her exact words but I paraphrased. I think I used that right! Or maybe not. Big words scare me.

"So, what do you want?" Jeez Marlene, I can't just pop in to say hello anymore? I always have to want something. Wow, such a good friend you are. I voice my thoughts and she just shrugs.

"Enough guys. So Sirius, Peter told me James was doing his daily complaining session. How did it go?" Yikes, what should I say? I can't say, 'Well, he complained a lot about how you don't love him and blah blah blah.' James would throttle me.

"It was abnormally quick. I think fifteen minutes is his record."

"What did he complain about?" She twirls her hair flirtatiously. She's not flirting with me, but she's trying to pull information from me. Outrageous! I feel completely used! Well sort of used...whatever.

"Oh, nothing much. I just remembered that I have to go find Molly and apologize for breaking her clock. I'll see you around gals." I push off from the wall, but linger a moment just to see what Lily has to say. I might be going crazy, always a possibility, but I'm pretty sure she said 'confirmed'.

What do you think that means? I hope it's not the fact that she knows James was complaining about her, because if it is, I'm going to need to find a better hiding spot. My current one is behind the statue of the witch holding an eyeball, but James found me there last time after I broke his broom. Which was totally an accident.

I exit the common room through the portrait hole, and am whistling while I head down to the Ravenclaw common room entrance, where Molly spends most of her time. In case you're wondering, no I was not lying about breaking her clock, I actually did that, and she found it on Friday and proceeded to yell at me. I promptly ran away.

Halfway to my destination, Professor McGonagall stops me in the hallway. I groan on the inside. What did I do this time?

"Mister Black, come with me to my office." Ugh, sorry Molly. I'm busy most likely getting a detention.

"Of course Professor," I don't really have a choice do I? She leads me into her office, and motions for me to sit down. She looks at me over her glasses. "Am I in trouble?"

"Have a guess."

"No?"

"Have another guess."

I sigh, "Yes?"

"Good job, Mister Black. You have a detention on Monday, at 10 o'clock in the morning, during your free period after Transfiguration. I would give you one tomorrow, but you are saved by our trip to Hogsmeade."

"What in the world did I do?" If Molly complained to McGonagall I'm going to hire someone to strangle her. What? I don't do dirty work.

"Oh, a fellow student brought to my attention that you broke one of their important belongings?"

"Molly's clock," I mumble. She nods and turns away from me, my dismissal cue. I leave the door and drag my feet the rest of the way to the Ravenclaw dormitory. I could have complained that I was on my way to apologize, but I know better then to contradict Professor McGonagall.

When I reach the portrait hole, I see Molly and her friend, I don't know her name and I don't feel like acting smart so her new name is 'Molly's friend'. She sees me and I quickly apologize, and thank her for the detention. I was lying earlier, of course I feel like being smart! Well, as smart as I can be without straining a muscle in my brain.

I then stomp back to the common room with only two things in my mind; detention, and revenge.
