We arrived at Tenebrae and Cor stayed close behind me.

"We have your rooms all set up." A woman said happily.

"We also brought two other guests. My sister and her friend Jade." Regis said calmly.

"Oh they will have to room with someone." She said softly.

"I can room with Clarus." Jade said quickly.

"Rogue will stay with me, that way I can keep my eyes on her." Cor said calmly.

"Of course I am." I groaned out.

"Punishment for sneaking here." He said calmly.

We all went to our rooms and I put my suitcase down.

"You can take the bed." Cor said calmly.

"Cor, we are both adults. We can share the bed." I said calmly.

"I must warn you, I am a cuddler as Clarus puts it." He said calmly.

"I put up with Jade.... trust me I can handle it." I said as I went to change clothes.

I walked into the bathroom and let out a sigh. I looked into the mirror and turned the faucet on and splashed my face with water.

"Rouge was a great woman... she's one of the reasons that I will someday call Jade my wife.... she is the reason I am the Shield. So that I can keep the promise I made to her. That I can protect her brother... and her home." Clarus said softly.

He cleared his throat and let out a sigh.

"When I met Rouge, she had just been giving her ability.... and she hated to meet people, because she would see their death... she would be force to watch them die... over and over again. And she could do nothing. Rouge was forced to watch her mother die from illness... and she could do little to nothing." Clarus said softly.

"Rouge had a strength, that I wish I had." He said sadly.

"My turn." Cid said as he patted Clarus' back.

I let out a sigh as I opened my eyes.

"Well, why do I feel like I'm seeing all of this so that I can see the prophecy." I said softly.

I pulled out my nightdress and internally groaned. Of course I would have the most revealing thing to sleep in. The nightgown was skin tight and because of this it was uncomfortable to wear a bra. I changed and looked for my robe, only to realize I had forgot it.

"Great." I groaned out.

I walked out and saw Cor on the phone.

"Yes, the Princess is here. I assure you she is safe. Yes... I will see her home after the party. I would before but there won't be any boats until after the party." Cor said calmly.

He let out a sigh and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Yes sir, I am keeping her in the room with-"

He was cut off by the sight of me in my nightgown. His eyes went wide and I wrapped my arms around myself.

"Oh yes sir! Um she will be staying with me. Yes... I will update you." Cor said before hanging up.

He cleared his throat and stood up.

"Sorry, it was one of the only things I brought... I forgot my robe so I can't wear-"

I was cut off by him throwing a large shirt at me.

"It gets cold. You'll want to wear that." He said calmly.

"Thank you." I said as I slipped it on.

He nodded his head and left to change into some shorts. I crawled into bed and pulled a book out.

"I see you have the same habit as Regis." Cor said as he walked out of the bathroom.

I looked up and held back a groan as I saw that he was shirtless.

"It helps me clear my head." I said softly.

He nodded his head and climbed into bed. I looked over at him and then turned to look back at my book.

My head soon started to spin and I closed my eyes.

Cor pinned me to the wall and glared down at me.

"Let me shoulder your burdens!" He snapped.

"I don't need you watching my every move! I'm a grown woman and I-"

I was cut off by him capturing my lips with his.

"You idiot.... don't you realize that I-"

My eyes shot open and I let out a gasp. Cor turned to look at me and sent me a frown.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he set up.

"Yes... just... a.. a vision." I said as I looked away from him.

"Was it about me?"

"Yes... I mean no... it was... I..."

"It's fine. I know you can't talk about your visions." He said as he laid back down.

I nodded my head and went back to reading.

"Though by the blush on your face, I take it that it was interesting." He said with a chuckle.

"Shut up." I mumbled as I went back to reading.

"Bet you walked in on me showering." He said with a laugh.

My eyes went wide and I turned and looked at him.

"What? Did you?"

"No... it's just... that's the first time I've ever heard you laugh.... it's nice." I said as I met his eyes.

"I don't really have much to laugh... well besides from the time Clarus was courted by a Chocobo." He said with a smile.

"No, spill." I said as I nudged him.

"We were in Lestallum and someone had been riding a Chocobo. Regis wanted a picture and we all got in front of it. Then it tried to make Clarus the leader of its flock." He said with a chuckle.

I burst out laughing and he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Then we went to Altissia and Cid fell into the water... poor Regis had to go in after him."

"Why didn't you?" I asked with a smile.

"I only save princes or a stubborn Princess. I'm not one to save annoying mechanics." He said with a laugh.

For the remainder of the night he told me stories about the boys, up until I fell asleep.
