Angst

I let out a sigh as I watched Regis and Clarus talk and laugh.

"You should tell him." A voice said from beside me.

I turned my head and saw Cor standing beside me with his arms crossed.

"I can't, he has to much on his mind." I said softly.

"(Y/n), he needs someone to hold him down... and that's you." He said softly.

"I have work." I said as I turned and walked away.

Time skip

I let out a sigh as I watched Regis and talk to a woman. She was beautiful, long black hair and bright blue eyes.

"You should tell him."

I turned my head and saw Cor beside me.

"He obviously loves her." I said as I looked away.

"He doesn't know her... he knows you."

"I'm not going to push my way into his heart." I said as I turned and walked away.

Timeskip

As I watched him kiss his bride I felt sadness overtake me.

"You should tell him." Cor whispered.

"He just got married..... it won't change anything."

"Yea he got married to a woman he doesn't love... because you are to stubborn to admit you love him."

I shook my head and turned and walked away.

Timeskip

I bite my lip and slowly walked into the prince's room. His mother had passed away giving birth to him.

"Hello Noctis." I said as I looked down at him.

He reached up to me and I gently picked him up with a small smile. I carried him to the rocking chair and rocked him back and forth.

"I swear to you, I shall protect you with my pst breath." I whispered as I smiled down at him.

"You know, you should talk to Regis." A deep voice said.

"Cor, he just lost his wife.... there is no way I can tell him that I love him." I said not looking up.

"I would say you just did."

My head snapped up and I saw Regis leaning in the doorway.

"Regi, I-"

"You know I've waited over ten years for you to finally admit you love me." He said as he stepped into the room.

I stood up and gently placed Noctis back in his crib.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked calmly.

"Because you're the king... and I'm a soldier." I said as I let out a sigh.

"And?"

"And we can't be together. No one would allow it." I said as I felt tears stream down my face.

"I don't care what other people think."

"But I do! I care about it. I care if people will talk bad about us. I care if I was to have a child, would they be loved the same as Noctis is?"

"They would by me and our friends."

"Regis, no matter how much I love you...... I can't be with you."

He walked up to me and gently touched my face.

"(Y/n)-"

I quickly shook my head no and turned and walked out of the rooms

Timeskip

I wasn't surprised with the attack, merely surprised that no one else had seen it coming. I quickly brought my sword out and attacked the soldiers who rushed in.

"(Y/n)!" A voice yelled.

I turned and saw Clarus and Regis fighting General Glauca. I quickly ran forward and attacked him she blocked my attack and threw me back into the wall.

"Don't you dare touch her!" Regis yelled as he threw him back.

I watched as Clarus was killed and then I stood up and grabbed my sword. I took off running towards Glauca and tried to surprise him but he quickly turned and stabbed me through the chest.

"A shame, you would of been a great queen." He said before throwing me into Regis.

"(Y/n)! I have you... stay with me." Regis begged.

My eyes fluttered open and closed. I smiled softly up at him and touched his cheek.

"I love you.... always." I whispered before everything went dark.
