~(Y/n)'s POV~
The five of us were heading to Altissia until we were stopped by a horde of Magiteks. As the battle began, the Magiteks had also ended up disturbing a wyvern. Not only was it attacking the Magiteks, it was also sending powerful blows towards us.
"Great..." I groan as I slice a Magitek to my right. "More trouble for us to handle," Gladio sighs. I transformed my sword into a bow and shot a Magitek that was giving Noctis a hard time. "Thanks, (Y/n)," he said with a warm smile. I nod and finish off a few more Magiteks.
With the wyvern's help, the Magiteks were easily wiped out. "Now, all we have to do is get rid of the wyvern," Ignis said. The wyvern suddenly shrieked loudly. We had to cover our ears from the loud cry. "Oh, no..." I mumble.
"What?" Prompto asked. "It's attracting more wyverns," I replied. Their eyes widen at my words. As they recovered from their shock, wyverns appeared in the northern sky, heading straight towards us. "They'll tear us apart before we even get to kill one," Noctis said. I knew he was right. Those creatures would kill us if they pinned us down.
An idea crossed my mind and I clenched my hands together. I quickly spun in my heels and faced them with a stern expression. "All of you need to take cover." Noctis' eyes widened in disbelief. "What about you?" He asked. I stared down at my hands and gave him a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine."
I felt all eyes on me as I turned back around to face the approaching wyverns. "What is your plan?" Ignis asked, curiosity tinting his voice. I kept my back to them and told him. "To wipe them all out in one blow."
"How?" Gladio questioned. A small smirk played at my lips. I glanced over my shoulder at them. "You'll just have to wait and see. Now, get somewhere safe." I held my hands close to my chest and prepared a powerful and forbidden spell. "They'll probably figure out the real me," I whisper to myself. I could hear Noctis struggling against Gladio as his bodyguard took him to safety. "(Y/n)!" He shouts my name over and over again desperately.
As the wyverns landed in front of me, my eyes began to glow an eerie purple. I whisper the incantation and a magic circle appeared in front of me.
I place my hand in the center of the magic circle as the wyverns charge at me. A large beam of light consumes all of the wyverns in one blow. After the light dissipates, nothing is left of the creatures. A small sigh escapes my lips as my eyes turn back to (e/c).
I felt a presence behind me and saw the guys all staring at me in shock. I felt ashamed of hiding such an immense power from them. If they knew who I really was, they'd probably leave me behind. "Hey, guys," I said casually, forcing a smile. "(Y/n), are you..." Ignis didn't finish his sentence, but I knew exactly what his question was. I looked away in shame. "Yes..."
"What? (Y/n)'s what?" Prompto asked the advisor in an eager tone. Ignis' eyes never left my form as he answered Prompto. "A goddess." This made the shock grow in all of them. Noctis snapped out of his shocked state and took a step towards me. "Why didn't you tell us?" His expression was full of hurt.
"How do you tell the love of your life that you're an immortal goddess?" I ask him in return. Noctis went silent after he heard my words. "I... I know one day you'll die and... I'll be all alone. I tried to be as human as possible so I could stay by your side." I could feel tears sting my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. My eyes traveled to the ground. I couldn't look him in the eye.
I was about to say something, but I felt arms wrap around me. "I'll never leave you, (Y/n)," Noctis whispered in my ear. His words made the tears fall. I hugged him back and cried on his shoulder. Our hug didn't last long, but it felt like forever.
"If I may?" Ignis took a step towards us. I nodded to signal him to continue. "Which goddess are you?" I took a deep breath and exhaled. "The goddess of destruction." Gladio chuckled and crossed his arms. "That's why your skills are so sharp. It also explains that powerful spell from earlier."
"Do you... like... destroy things?" Prompto questioned. I laughed and smiled at him. "No, it just means I have strong combat skills and magic. Don't worry, Prom. You're safe." He smiled back and sighed in relief. "Is it safe for us to know who you really are?" Ignis asked.
"Yes. There are no laws against gods or goddesses letting their presence be known. As long as you don't go gossiping about it, you'll be fine."
They all relaxed at my words. "We're not the gossiping type," Gladio said with a grin. "It's not you I'm worried about, but..." My eyes traveled over to Prompto. "You don't trust me?" Prompto asked, a little hurt showing in his blue eyes. "It's not that. You just..." I couldn't find the right words. Noctis began to laugh.
"Prom, you just don't know when to shut it," Noctis said, finishing my sentence. Prompto began to pout like a child. "Noct's right. You run your mouth too much," Gladio comments. Prompto sighed and threw his arms up in the air. "I promise I won't tell a single person!"
I thanked all of them and Noctis messed with my (h/c) hair. "Just don't throw yourself in danger like that again, even if you can take care of yourself. I'd worry less if I was by your side at all times." A huge smile spread across my face. I pecked Noctis on the cheek.
"I know you'll be with me, always."
