~(Y/n)'s POV~
"Iggy, are you okay?" I ask as we head to the garage to check on the car. "Yes, I am fine," he replied quickly. I raised an eyebrow and knew he was lying through his teeth. I jumped in front of him to make him look at me. "I know you're lying to me."
Ignis stopped in his tracks and met my (e/c) eyes with his green ones. "(Y/n), we must check on the Regalia." I didn't waver and stayed still. "We're not going anywhere until you stop lying to me!" I shout at him. Ignis was shocked at my actions. I never really raised my voice unless I had to. "You're pale and walking sluggishly. You need to go back and rest. I'll check up on the car later." I grabbed his hand and spun him around.
Ignis didn't say a word as I dragged him back to the small hotel where we were staying. His hand was clammy which was another sign he was sick. As we entered our room, I nudged him towards the bed. He knew what I wanted and sat down. I went into the bathroom and searched for some medicine I had bought a few days ago. "Ah! Found it!" I pull the small bottle out of my bag.
"Here. Take two of these." I handed Ignis two pills and a small glass of water. He just stared at the pills and sat the water on the nightstand. I tilted my head in confusion at why he wouldn't take the pills. After a long, awkward silence, Ignis finally spoke up. "I do not need pills. I'll be fine with a little rest."
I could feel my eye twitching at him. He was being stubborn at the worst time. "Iggy, take the pills," I demanded. "Like I said, I do not need them," he said back a little harsh. Anger consumed me and I glared at him. "Fine! Be stubborn! I just wanted to help and all you do is push me away!" Ignis' eyes widened at my outburst. He tried to reach out to me, but I dodged his hand. I clenched my fists tightly and felt my fingernails dig into my palm.
"(Y/n), I-"
"No, I'm done trying to help." I storm out of the room and slam the door behind me. Tears stung the corner of my eyes as I ran out of the hotel. "Hey, (Y/n)- what happened?" I ran into Gladio outside of the hotel. He was with Noctis and Prompto, just talking about random things. I turned my back to them as the tears streamed down my cheeks. "Go ask Ignis to get all the details. I'm sure he won't push you all away."
"(Y/n), wait!" Prompto shouted. I ignored him and headed out of town.
~3rd Person POV~
Gladio, Noctis, and Prompto watch as (Y/n) walked away in a hurry, worry painted on their faces. Gladio could tell she was crying even though he couldn't see her face. They all exchanged glances and went to Ignis' and (Y/n)'s room. They found the advisor sitting at the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. "Specs, what happened?" Noctis asked. Ignis snapped his head up to look at the prince. "I... was being stubborn. (Y/n) was trying to help me, but... I pushed her away."
"I hope you know that you made her cry," Gladio told the man. Ignis quickly stood up at the bodyguard's words. "Where is she now?" He quickly asked. "She was heading out of town," Prompto answered. Ignis ran out of the hotel to search for (Y/n). Even though he was feeling drained, he didn't want to leave it like this. Especially when his words were harsh. All (Y/n) wanted to do was help him, but he thought he didn't need the help.
Ignis found (Y/n) hugging her knees near the edge of town. Her body radiated in the sunset, taking his breath away. He went over and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. She didn't move to look at him. "What do you want?" She hissed with venom in her voice.
Ignis didn't blame her for being mad. (Y/n) deserved to be mad since he treated her like that. "I wanted to apologize." The (h/c) haired girl turned around to face him. The sun bounced off her tear streaked cheeks as she glanced at him. Ignis sat next to her and ran a hand through her soft hair. He couldn't bear to see her cry. "I am sorry for the way I acted today. I did not mean to be so harsh. I know you were just trying to help, (Y/n). I hope you can forgive me." He cupped her cheeks in his hands and wiped away her tears.
"You know I could never stay mad at you. I'm sorry for being so pushy," (Y/n) said softly and hugged Ignis. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist. The silence wasn't awkward, it was peaceful. (Y/n) looked up at Ignis from his arms. "So... will you let me take care of you? I think you have a fever."
Ignis nodded with a smile and they both headed back to the hotel for the day. (Y/n) picked up the medicine and Ignis gladly took it. After a few hours, Ignis had fallen asleep with a smile on his face.
(Y/n) put her hand on his forehead and sighed in relief. "His fever has gone down tremendously." A quiet knock came from the door.
(Y/n) opened the door to see Gladio. "How is he?" He asked. (Y/n) smiled and let him in the room. "His fever's gone down. I'm going to check on the Regalia. Could you watch over him?" Gladio nodded and sat in a chair near the bed. "I'll be back soon." (Y/n) left and went by the garage. Cindy told her the car would be ready in the morning.
(Y/n) thanked Cindy and headed back.
Once (Y/n) returned, Gladio left to rest. Ignis was up, taking more pills that she asked him to take every few hours. "The car will be ready in the morning," she told Ignis. He thanked her and she sat at the edge of the bed. Before she could comprehend, Ignis had pulled her close. Her head rested against his chest while he rested his head on top of hers.
"Does earlier count as our first argument?" She asked. Ignis chuckled and kissed the top of her head. "I assume so." (Y/n) drew circles on one of his palms. "I'm glad we had an argument." Her words confused Ignis a little. "Why is that?" He asked. "Well... relationships are healthy if we argue from time to time. It wouldn't be healthy if we never fought. If we didn't fight, either of us wouldn't speak our minds and tell the other what's wrong."
"That is very true," he whispered in her ear. He brought her closer to him and ran a hand down her arm. Ignis' action sent a chill down (Y/n)'s spine. He felt the goosebumps on her skin from what he did and laughed. "Y-you did that on purpose..." she mumbles. He leaned in closer and saw she was blushing.
"You are too easy to mess with, (Y/n)." Ignis kissed her on the cheek gently. "W-we should really go to sleep. It won't be good if we're tired in the morning," she said and escaped Ignis' warm arms. She rolled over and laid down on her side of the bed. Ignis knew she was right and laid down next to her. They both fell asleep in seconds while in each other's arms.
