83) Noctis (Part II)

~3rd Person POV~

What once was (Y/n) was now a creature. It did not resemble that of a daemon. The group of men gasped as they saw the princess of Sinicidia turn into such a thing. Noctis fell to his knees at the sight. "N-no..." he muttered sadly. Prompto ran over and pulled him to safety as the creature attacked them.

"What should we do?" Gladio asked, hoping anyone would have an answer. "We cannot harm the princess," Ignis stated. Noctis didn't say anything. He was in too much shock. The person he loved has turned into a creature. His worst fear was they wouldn't be able to save her and they would have to kill her. "Buddy, snap out of it!" Prompto shouts. Noctis is brought back to reality by his best friend shouting at him.

He quickly stood up and summoned his Engine Blade. "Do you have a plan, Noct?" Gladio asked the prince. "If you can distract it, I'll try to get (Y/n) out of that thing," he replied. They all agreed to Noctis' plan and began to distract the creature. He went behind the creature, but it spotted him immediately. It slashed its sharp claws at him which forced Noctis to keep his distance.

"Damn it!" He shouts in frustration. The creature approached him and brought its hand up. "(Y/n)!" He shouts desperately. The creature stops attacking and stares down at him. "D-did she hear you?" Prompto asked with a shaky voice. A small portion of the creature's claw disappeared and showed the ring which Noctis gave (Y/n) a few years ago.

"Noct, talk about memories of you and (Y/n). I think she can hear you and is breaking free from the curse," Ignis said. Noctis did as he said and began talking about his past memories with her. The creature's arm was replaced with (Y/n)'s, but Noctis had a long way to go before she was completely free. Noctis began spewing memory after memory. The creature realized what he was doing and tried to get away. Before it could escape, Noctis grabbed the arm that had broken free of the curse.

"I'll never forget the first time we kissed!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. This made the creature crumble to the ground in pain. It hissed at the prince, but he didn't let go. The body of the creature slowly began to crumble away and revealed (Y/n). Once the curse was completely gone, she gasped for air. Noctis quickly gathered her in his arms.

"I-its gone?" She asked quietly. Noctis nodded with a relieved smile. He wrapped his arms around her small frame and hugged her tightly. (Y/n) began to cry in his arms which made him hug her even tighter. "Yay! (Y/n)'s back!" Prompto jumped up and down with joy. Gladio and Ignis watched the scene before them with warm smiles.

Noctis helped the princess up and held her hands tightly. "How are you feeling?" He asked as he leaned his forehead against hers. "I feel amazing. What about the mark on my back?" She asked, curiosity coating her voice. Noctis peeked over her shoulder to see her back. He smiled once he saw the mark was not present. "No, it's gone for good."

(Y/n) smiled brightly and wrapped her arms around Noctis. He slithered his arms around her waist and hugged her back. They stayed glued together until Gladio spoke up. "We should head back. King Raiden would be happy to see his daughter is safe."

"He's probably worried sick about me," (Y/n) said with guilt in her tone. Noctis grabbed her smaller hand in his bigger one. "He'll be glad to see you. He won't be mad, I promise." (Y/n) smiled and Noctis guided her to the car. Prompto sat in the back with them while Gladio sat in the front seat.

They arrived back at the palace and headed straight for the throne room. "Ah, my son, you're-" King Regis stopped mid-sentence when his eyes landed on the princess. He smiled and turned towards King Raiden. The King of Sinicidia was looking out the window and had no clue his daughter was safe and sound. Regis walked over and placed a hand on his dearest friend's shoulder. "You have a visitor, Raiden." He turned around at Regis' words and his eyes widened. "(Y/n)..." He ran down the stairs and enveloped his smiling daughter in his warm embrace.

"I'm sorry, Father," she whispered. "No, don't be," he whispered back. Noctis couldn't help but smile. He was glad he and the others were able to save
(Y/n) and reunite her with King Raiden. (Y/n) broke the hug and told her father that the mark had disappeared. He was so happy to hear his daughter was free of the curse that he began to cry tears of joy.

He thanked Noctis and the others for saving his daughter. After their happy reunion, King Raiden handed his daughter over to Noctis. They both left the throne room and headed to his room. Once they arrived, Noctis picked (Y/n) up in his arms and sat her down on his bed.

"You must be tired," Noctis said as he played with her (h/c) hair. (Y/n) yawned a little and smiled. "You have no idea..." Noctis chuckled and pulled her close to his chest. (Y/n) gently hugged him and fell asleep within seconds. Noctis kissed her on the forehead.

"I'm glad you're back, (Y/n)."
