~(Y/n)'s POV~

With the help of the elders, I was able to find the Forbidden Land. Even though the elders forbade me to enter, I ignored their warnings. My quest began as I descended into the Shrine of Worship. All I had to do was slay all sixteen Colossi to resurrect my father. A voice began speaking as I reached the bottom of the temple.

It warned me of my foes and where to find them. Stone idols of each Colossi decorated the Shrine of Worship. "So, the first one is close by. Too bad they all won't be that easy." I whistled and Agro (A/n: The horse in the game) galloped towards me. Her shiny black mane blew in the feint breeze that danced through the temple. I hop on her back and we head outside to see the Forbidden Land. The sun gleams down upon us harshly.

"Alright. Let's find that first Colossus." I hold my blade in the air and the sun reflects off of it. The beam of light pointed me towards the mountains just north of the temple. "Let's go!" Agro neighed and galloped as fast as she could. Once we reached the mountains, I had to climb the rest of the way without Agro.

When I reached the top, the earth beneath me shook violently. My eyes glanced around and saw the Colossus.

It didn't even notice me as it carried on its way. I let my sword find the Colossus' weak spot. It seemed to be in its left calf. "I'll make this quick." I ran after the Colossus and jumped on its leg. I stabbed the weak spot a few times and it fell to one knee. I took the advantage and climbed higher up its body. Once I reached its head, I raised my sword to the sun. A symbol appeared on its head.

"So, you have two weak spots." I grabbed on to its head so I wouldn't fall off. The Colossus began shaking its head violently, but I kept my grip. After a few stabs to the head, the Colossus began to crumble. A strange black aura seeped out of its body. I stared in awe until I felt a pain in my chest. The black tendrils passed through my body and I fainted.

When I came to, I was back in the Shrine of Worship. I stood up on shaky legs and the voice told me of my next foe. Suddenly I heard unfamiliar voices. "Where are we?" One voice asked. I hid behind one of the Colossi idols as they approached closer. "I'm not sure. All I remember was being attacked by Ardyn and now we're here," another one answered.

"We should look around. It's possible someone here could help us get back," one said. They walked by my hiding place and I pulled out my sword. I snuck behind one of them and rested my blade against his neck. "Don't move," I growl. He stops in his tracks and glances at me from the corner of his eye.

"Noct!" A blonde boy shouts. The boy named Noct told the blonde to put his weapon away. The other two watched me closely. "How did you get here?" I ask. "We don't know. We're looking for help," he said. "So, you're not from the north?" I ask. He shook his head and I sheathed my blade. I sigh in relief and head to the stairs that led out of the temple.

"I suggest you leave as soon as possible. It's not safe here." I whistled and Agro galloped towards me happily. I climb up on her back and beckoned her forward. "Wait!" Noct shouts. I stop Agro in her tracks. "You're our only hope in finding our way home." I was confused at why he couldn't find his home by himself. Didn't he get here like I did? "We're not from your world," the one with tattoos said. "Before we delve deeper, could I know your names?" I ask. They nod and introduce themselves one by one.

"I'm (Y/n). Welcome to the Forbidden Land."

"Forbidden Land?" Ignis asked.

"Yes. This land is forbidden for humans to enter."

"Then why are you here?" Gladio asked. I hopped off of Agro and walked towards the idols. "I'm here to save my father. He was killed because they believed he was cursed. Now I'm on a quest to slay all sixteen Colossi." They all wore confused expressions at my words. I decided to go deeper into detail.

"What do these Colossi look like?" Noctis asked. I showed them the idols that decorated the temple. "Each one of these is a Colossus. As I slay one, their idols shatter. As their name states, they are enormous creatures that wander these lands."

"So cool~!" Prompto cheers. "Some are gentle while others are deadly. Most of them resemble an animal of sorts," I said. "Could we help?" Noctis asked. I was shocked at his words. I never expected for someone to ask if they could help, but I knew the answer all too well. "I'm sorry, Noctis. Only my blade can pierce their armor. I must do this alone."

"We could help distract them while you slay them," Prompto said. "No, it's too dangerous. I'll be back soon. Stay in the temple," I ordered. I got back on Agro and we headed to the seaside cave to slay the next Colossus. Before I left the shrine, I could hear them all shouting my name. I ignored their shouts and made Agro go faster. As we approached the seaside cave, the Colossus showed itself.

"Not as big as the last one, but you'll be tougher to climb up." The sword showed its weak spot was under its hoof. I pulled out my bow and shot its hoof as it approached me. It growled in pain and I jumped from Agro and onto the Colossus' leg. The first weak spot was on its rear while the second was on its head. I took care of both spots and the Colossus began to wither away. The same black tendrils pierced my body and I fainted once again.

"... /N)... (Y/n)... (Y/n)!" I felt someone shaking me as I came to. Noctis was looking at me with a worried expression. He helped me up and steadied me. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded and rubbed my head. "You just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. There were these strange shadow figures surrounding you, too," Prompto said. As I was about to speak up, the idol of the second Colossus shattered.

The familiar voice of Dormin suddenly echoed throughout the temple. My next foe lies upon a canopy that overlooks a lake. I went to leave, but Noctis grabbed my arm. "(Y/n), please. Let us help you," he begged. "There's no way I could place my burdens on you, Noctis. And besides, I don't even know how you would accompany. Agro can only hold two people."

"Don't worry about us, (Y/n). We just want to help and don't worry about transportation. I've got that covered." I gave in and let him and the others come with me to the next Colossus. Suddenly four yellow birds began running towards us. "I didn't know they followed us here," Gladio said and smiled at the yellow birds. "What are they?" I ask out of curiosity.

"Oh, that's right! You don't have them here. These are Chocobos. You're able to ride them like horses," Prompto explained to me. "Interesting. The only thing I've seen like them are baby chicks." Noctis chuckled at my words. "They're basically giant yellow chickens," Gladio said. They all hopped on their Chocobos while I got back on Agro.

"I wish to warn you all beforehand. I do not know what this Colossus is capable of. I want you all to stay behind until I'm able to assess the Colossus." They all nodded in understanding. We headed out of the temple and I let my sword show the way.

Once we reached what looked like a platform above a lake, I hopped off of Agro. I told her to stay here with the Chocobos. "It seems we'll be swimming the rest of the way," Ignis stated. All of us jumped into the lake and swam to a ramp that led up to the platform. We had to jump to where the Colossus was resting.

"Stay here," I told them before we reached the very top of the platform. Before I could leave, Noctis grabbed my wrist. "(Y/n), be careful," he said. I smiled to reassure him. "Don't worry. I'll call you up when I've learned enough about it." I climbed up the stairs and the Colossus began to awaken. It was much taller than the first two.

He began walking towards me slowly. I ran through its leg to get it away from the others. As I evaluated its body, I noticed there was nowhere to climb up. "Damn..." I mutter. My eyes caught what looked like a stone symbol close by. An idea popped into my brain when I spotted it. I could make his sword hit the stone and possibly break a part of his arm off to make a way for me to climb up its body. I tried my idea and it worked. A section of the stone around its arm broke and made a clear path for me up to its stomach and head.

I called the others over and they began distracting the Colossus. It swung its sword down and I ran up it. I could hear gasps of amazement escape everyone's lips. I gripped onto its arm and jumped to its first weak point, the stomach. Noctis and the others kept the Colossus occupied enough to where it didn't notice me on its stomach. Once I began stabbing, it began shaking its body. I held on for dear life until it stopped shaking.

"(Y/n), are you okay?!" Noctis shouts up at me. "I'm fine!" I shout in return. Next, I climbed up to its head. The symbol glowed brightly as I began stabbing the Colossus. It only took a couple of times thanks to the others. Once the job was done, I jumped off of its head. I landed on my feet and watched it wither away just like the others. The black tendrils shot out of its body and began heading in my direction.

Suddenly Noctis grabbed my hand and ran away from the tendrils. The others followed as we ran down the ramp. I looked behind us and saw the tendrils were faster than us. Before I could gasp for air, the tendrils had pierced my body.

~3rd Person POV~

Noctis suddenly felt (Y/n)'s grip loosen. He looked back at her and saw the tendrils had pierced her chest. "No!" He shouts. Her body begins to fall backwards, but Noctis quickly tightens his grip and pulls her body towards his. He was about to catch (Y/n), but her body vanished. "We need to head back to the shrine and make sure she is alright," Ignis said. Without hesitation, they all swam back to their Chocobos. Agro was gone, but they assumed she already headed back to the shrine.

It didn't take long for them to get back to the shrine. They remembered the path (Y/n) had taken them to the Colossus and traced their steps backs. Noctis jumped off his Chocobo and ran into the shrine. "(Y/n)!" Noctis shouts her name. The (h/c) girl snapped her head around at the sound of her name. Noctis didn't hesitate and ran over to her. He checked to make sure she wasn't injured. Once he saw she was fine, he crashed to his knees in relief.

"Noctis, are you alright?" (Y/n) kneels next to him and rests a hand on his shoulder. He covers her smaller hand with his larger one. "I should be asking you that," he said with a smile. (Y/n) giggled and kissed him on the cheek. "I'm fine. Let's rest for a bit. I've brought plenty of food and water with me to last us a month. It was originally for a few months, but since you're helping me, I'll share whatever I have."

"Than you, (Y/n)." She helped Noctis to his feet. She told him of the next Colossus and waited to handle it tomorrow.

-Three Weeks Later-

Weeks pass and only three Colossi remain. Before Noctis knew it, he cared for (Y/n) more than a friend. They both had grown closer in the passing weeks. The others noticed how close they had gotten and urged the prince to tell (Y/n) how he felt. He was reluctant to because she was from a different world and they would have to leave her behind.

"Maybe we can ask her if she wants to come with us," Prompto suggests. "Who knows? She might want to leave this world. If (Y/n)'s doing something forbidden, it's possible she'll be killed after she's done," Gladio said. Suddenly Ignis ran over to the three of them. "We need to stop (Y/n) from defeating any more Colossi," he said. His words confused the three of them. "Why?" Noctis asked. Ignis took them to the remaining Colossi idols. There were glyphs engraved on one of the idols.

It depicted a person slaying the Colossi with a holy sword. In another glyph it showed a person being impaled by the black tendrils from the slain Colossi. "Oh no..." Prompto mutters as his eyes scan the next glyph. A monster bathed in shadows was shown destroying everything. Noctis ran to find
(Y/n). When he did, he noticed her hair was not the usual (h/c). It was a dark purple and her face was paler than usual. She forced a smile and Noctis knew she wasn't feeling well.

"(Y/n), will you listen to me?" He asked. "Of course. What do you need, Noct?" The prince built up his courage and told her about what would happen in the end. (Y/n) couldn't believe it. In the end, she would turn into a monster and destroy everything in her way. "But, what about my father?" She asked.

"Would your father be happy if he came back and found you as a monster?" Noctis asked the girl. She shook her head. "No, he would blame himself if he knew I became a monster to save him." Noctis stuck his hand out towards her. "I wanted to ask one more thing. Will you come with me to my world?" (Y/n) was shocked at his question.

She thought for a few minutes and made up her mind. (Y/n) placed her hand in Noctis' hand. The prince began to smile, ear to ear. "I'd love to go with you, Noctis." She unsheathed her blade and stabbed it into the stone next to them. Suddenly a portal appeared in front of them. Noctis noticed it led to Insomnia. The others showed up when they heard the sword pierce the stone. Their eyes spotted the portal. "Home!" Prompto shouts.

Ignis and Gladio rounded up the Chocobos. "Let's go home," Gladio said. He walked through the portal with Ignis and Prompto. (Y/n) and Noctis watched them land in Insomnia. His grip tightened on (Y/n)'s hand. He looked back at her to make sure she was okay with this. "Agro, are you ready?" She asked her horse. She neighed in response and stood next to (Y/n). All three went through the portal and found themselves in the center of Insomnia.

"Wow, this place is amazing!" (Y/n) said with a huge smile. "Welcome to Insomnia," Noctis said. Agro was next to them and sniffing the air. The prince looked over and saw (Y/n)'s hair was back to the normal. He also saw the color return to her cheeks. Noctis couldn't hold himself back and crashed his lips onto hers. (Y/n) immediately kissed back. The kiss was long, sweet, and passionate. After the kiss, Noctis and (Y/n) rested their foreheads against each other's. "Could I give you a tour?" Noctis asked. "I'd love a tour, Noct."
