~(Y/n)'s POV~

"It's nice to meet you all," I greet. Gladio just introduced me to Ignis, Prompto, and Noctis. "Gladio talks about you all the time!" Prompto shouts. "Does he now?" I cross my arms with a grin. "Yeah, he says---ow!" Prompto yelps in pain. "You and your big mouth," Gladio grumbles. I couldn't hold in my laughter. "Gladio also talks about you all as well."

"I hope they are good things," Ignis said with a sigh. "Don't worry, they are," I reassure him. "(Y/n), what's wrong with your eyes?" Noctis asked. 'Oh, Gladio must have not told them yet' I thought. "Noct, it is not polite to ask such a question," Ignis stated. "No, many people ask that question. I'm... Blind," I answer softly. "What?" Prompto's shocked voice resounded. A warm hand took my own. I knew it was Gladio's. I squeezed his hand in return. "I've been blind since I was born. Don't worry yourselves over it."

"Wait, are you and Gladio dating?" The prince asked. I nodded with a huge smile. "Have you tried any medicine for your eyes?" Ignis asked. I nodded my head. "I've tried many types of medicines. None of them have worked. Gladio's been doing research to see if there are any ways to get my eyesight back."

"I think we might be able to help," Noctis said. My eyes grew wide at the prince's words. "Indeed. The palace has thousands of books that are rare. It's highly possible one of them could contain something to cure blindness," Ignis added. At the sound of his words, hope grew inside me. "Let's get (Y/n)'s sight back!" Prompto cheers. Suddenly I felt myself being lifted off the ground. "Gladio, I can walk! Put me down!" I shout in protest. "Nope, not gonna happen," he replied snappily. I could hear the grin in his voice. I sigh in defeat and let him carry me to the palace.

The air around me suddenly cooled. We must've made it to the palace. I guess we were closer than I thought. Gladio placed me gently in a chair. "I'll go search for some books," Ignis said. "These are heavy," Prompto complains. A loud thud brought my attention to the person next to me. It must've been Prompto setting down the books he found. Ignis found an old book written in Braille and gave it to me so I could translate it.

After hours of reading, Noctis was the first to speak up. "I found something," he announces. "What is it?" Gladio asked the prince. "It's a potion to cure blindness. We'll need a few ingredients." Noctis laid the book gently down with a small thud. "I know where we can get these ingredients," Ignis stated.

Now we are heading to the outskirts of Hammerhead. Apparently, we need to find a flower called Silene Tomentosa. It's only ever been found near Hammerhead. Gladio, Prompto, and I were searching for the flower while Ignis and Noctis were getting the other ingredients. "I see no flowers at all," Prompto whines. I sniffed the air and smelt something quite sweet. My head snapped in the direction the scent was coming from. As I walked to my left, the sweet scent grew stronger.

"Gladio, Prompto, over here!" I shout. Their running footsteps broke my concentration on the scent. "Did you find it?" Prompto asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. I can't see. My nose caught something sweet and I decided to follow the scent." Someone rested a hand on my shoulder. "You found the flower, (Y/n)," Gladio told me. A small plucking noise signaled that Gladio had picked the Silene Tomentosa. "Hold on to the flower, Prom." Gladio suddenly grabbed my hand after he said that. He guided me safely back to the Regalia.

Ignis drove us to a nearby hotel to spend the night. Once we arrived, he began working on the potion. I was sitting on the bed with Gladio's head in my lap. I ran my hands through his soft hair, wondering what he looked like. Hours pass and Ignis finishes the potion. "The potion will taste bitter, (Y/n). Just make sure you drink it all," he said. I nodded and he placed the potion in my hand. My hands gripped onto the small vial tightly. I felt Gladio hold my hand with his warmer one.

I resolved myself and drank the potion in one gulp. After a few seconds, a burning sensation in my throat made me have a coughing fit. "What's wrong?" Gladio asked, moving his hand to my back. I pointed to my throat in pain. "Iggy, what's going on?!" He shouts while holding me in his arms. "It's a side effect of the potion. The burning sensation will pass. Just hang in there, (Y/n)," the green eyed man said. I nodded and my coughing finally ceased. "Um... Guys?" I ask worriedly. My mind was feeling hazy and I couldn't concentrate.

Arms wrapped around me as my knees buckled underneath me. "What the hell was in that potion?" Gladio asked, keeping his anger in check. Ignis listed off the ingredients, but I couldn't hear what they were saying. The last thing I heard was Gladio's worried voice shouting my name.

-Few Hours Later-

When I opened my eyes, I could see a worried Gladio staring down at me. "So that's want you look like." I rest my hands on his face and outline his cheekbones. "(Y/n), y-you can see me?" He asked. I nodded with a smile. He didn't hesitate and brought me into a warm embrace. His arms wrapped around me tightly. Without a word, his lips found mine. I gasped in shock at his actions. This was our first kiss and I knew it wasn't going to be our last.

He broke the kiss a few seconds later. "What color are my eyes?" I ask, curiosity taking over. "(E/c)," he answered with a grin. "This is so strange..." I whisper to myself. Gladio must've heard me because he began to chuckle. "It's not strange or even a dream. It's real."

"So, the person I'm looking at is the man I fell in love with?"

"The one and only."

"Good, because I would've punched you if you would've answered differently."

Our lips found each other again and locked into place like puzzle pieces. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss. We heard Noctis clear his throat along with Prompto shouting, "too much PDA!" I pull away and forgot everyone else was here. "Sorry, guys. I forgot you were here."

"Well, at least she's honest," Noctis comments. I roll my eyes and Gladio smacks the prince on the head. "Hey, what was that for?!" He shouts back. "For ruining our moment," Gladio snapped. "Fine, we'll leave. You can continue sucking each other's faces off once we're gone." Noctis, Prompto, and Ignis left the room. Now it was only me and Gladio.

"Glad-" I was cut off by his lips. He tilted his head and deepened the kiss. We both couldn't breathe and separated. "How was that?" He asked with a grin. "Do you have to ask?" I could feel a slight blush taking over my cheeks. He chuckled and kissed me on the cheek. "I guess not."
