~(Y/n)'s POV~

(A/n: Your lovely house on the lake)

I was sitting in the living room staring at a picture of me and Gladio. This is the first time I've really observed this picture. I knew I was short but not that short. I didn't even reach up to his chest. I groan and gently put the picture down on my coffee table. "He's been gone for almost a year..." I stare out the window at the beautiful lake before me. My hand automatically went to the necklace around my neck. Gladio had gotten it for me before he left. He didn't say where he was going but only that he would be gone for awhile.

Tracing the wolf at the bottom of the beautiful silver chain, my thoughts were filled of that day. I knew he had to do the mission, but I was pouring my eyes out. The tears wouldn't stop as they cascaded down my cheek. A knock on the front door brought me back to reality and I jumped at the sudden noise. I let the wolf go as I walked to the door. I peaked through the corner of the window and couldn't believe who I was seeing. A giant smile spread across my face at the sight of who was at my door.

"You're back!" I open the door quickly and jump onto Gladio. He wraps his arms around me in return. "There's my girl," he chuckled. "You've been gone for almost a year!" I shout in disbelief. "Sorry, (Y/n). I had no idea it would be that long," he apologized. I shook my head and kissed him on the cheek. "Don't apologize. I'm just glad you're back." He hugged me tighter and closer to his chest. "Hey, we're here too!" I hear Prompto shout. Gladio gently sets me down on my feet. I peered around him with a smile. "Hey, guys!"

Prompto waves with a goofy grin while Noctis and Ignis smile in return. I realized it was a little chilly outside, so I invited them inside. "Thank you,
(Y/n)," Ignis said. "Would you all like something to drink?" I ask. Prompto shot up and smiled. "Could we have your famous herbal tea?" He asked happily. "Of course!" I head into the kitchen to prepare the tea. A few minutes pass and Gladio joins me in the kitchen. "How's it going in here, shorty?" I glare at him from the corner of my eye. A grin formed on his face as I glared. "Pretty good, giant." This only made his smirk larger.

"You know I love you." He bent down to my height and gently kissed me on the cheek. "I know," I replied with a smile. I quickly snapped my head around and stole a kiss from his lips. "Now you've done it," he said. "What did I-" I was cut off by Gladio picking me up in his arms and taking me to my room. "What about our tea?!" We hear Prompto shout. "Make it yourself!" Gladio shouts back. Prompto begins groaning like a child who's not getting their way.

Gladio closes the door behind him with his foot. He crashes on my bed with me in his arms. He trailed kisses up my neck that made my whole body shiver. "G-Gladio..." I mumble his name with a shaky voice. He doesn't stop and continues to kiss me lightly all over my body. "Don't try to stop me. I've missed you too much, (Y/n)," he whispered sweetly in my ear. "I-I know, but what about the others?" I ask. "They'll get the hint." I blushed and couldn't hide it. Gladio chuckled and smashed his lips on mine. An electrify sensation traveled through my body as he deepened the kiss. My mind went blank from the ecstasy. Before long, we were lost in each other's passionate love.
