~(Y/n)'s POV~

We watched as the Niflheim ship soared above us. Magiteks jumped from the ship and marched towards us. "Thats more than just a few," I comment. "Indeed," Ignis said and pushed his glasses up his nose. "We can handle them," Gladio said and summoned his sword. "Always could use the extra practice," Noctis added. "Yeah! We've got this covered!" Prompto shouts confidently. I couldn't help but smile as I summoned my bow.

"Be careful," Ignis whispered to me. I nodded and shot an arrow. It hit the mark and the Magitek exploded. "Nice shot!" Prompto praised. I shot another arrow and it killed a Magitek sneaking up behind the blonde. "Focus, Prom," I scold him. He shoots a Magitek to the right of him as he nods. The onslaught of Magiteks decreased as the battle carried on. Only a few of them were left and Noctis and I took care of them. I shoot the last one in the  head and it explodes into tiny pieces. "The ships heading toward Insomnia!" Noctis shouts. I look up at the ship and Noctis was right.

"We've got to stop it before it reaches the Crown City," Gladio said. "But how?" Prompto asked. Ignis' eyes traveled to mine and I knew exactly what he was thinking. "Can you call Zenezia?" He asked. I nodded and whistled for my companion. A loud roar resounds around us and a black figure approaches us from the sky. "Don't worry, she's friendly," I tell the guys. Zenezia swoops down and lands in front of us.

She nuzzles her head into my hands and I giggle. After a gentle rub from me, she moves to Ignis and nudges him with her nose. A smile broke out on his face and he petted her head. "It's good to see you as well, Zenezia." His smile widened and I watched the scene with joy. "Wh-wh-what?!" Prompto shouts. He points and runs over to Zenezia. "Prom, what's wrong?" I ask. "I thought Chocobos were amazing, but she's even more amazing!" He shouts gleefully. Gladio and Noctis stared in amazement at Zenezia. I snapped to get their attention. "Ready to fly?" I ask, smirking at them. They all nod and Zenezia lays down on the ground. We all mounted and she took off towards the Niflheim ship.

"I'll create a distraction while you all take control of the ship," I say and stand up on Zenezia's back. I shot an explosive arrow and aimed it at the side of the ship. The arrow exploded on impact and created a hole big enough for me to get through in the side of the ship. Before I could fire a teleportation arrow, Ignis grabbed my wrist. "Do be careful, (Y/n). I'd be devastated if you were to get hurt." I leaned down and kissed him on the lips. "Don't worry. I'll be fine." I smile and fire the arrow. I nodded to Zenezia and she took the others to the front of the ship. As the arrow embedded itself in the floor of the ship, my body felt light and I found myself directly where I shot the arrow.

Alarms were blaring and men were shouting. "Intruder!" I snap my head around and see a group of men charging towards me. I quickly pull out an ice arrow and fire it at them. They all froze and their bodies shattered into small pieces. I step over the shards and head towards the engine room. "Kill her!" A man shouts. A sear of pain rushes through my shoulder as I felt a warm substance run down my arm. I duck and roll behind cover to avoid getting even more wounded. I pull out a few daggers and throw them at the men. Screams of pain resounded as all the men I hit with the daggers fell to the ground. Magiteks were approaching from behind and I shot an arrow towards a pipe above them.

Steam shoots out of the pipe and causes the Magiteks to malfunction and explode one by one. "I need to find the other." I run out of the engine room and towards the front of the ship. The pain in my shoulder grew and grew with each step. Suddenly I was grabbed from behind and dragged into a room. I was about to scream but the person covered my mouth. I twisted in their grip and tried to break free. "(Y/n)." My eyes grew wide at the sound of the familiar voice. I calmed down and they let me go. "Ignis," I mumble and turn around to face the man I love. He smiles and wraps his arms around my waist.

"Why aren't you with the others?" I ask. He pulled me close and leaned his back against the door. "I was too worried about you. They also sent me to look for you." I rolled my eyes and huffed. "Ignis, I'm not a little girl. I can handle myself." He held me closer and messed with my hair. "I know you can. It's just normal for me to worry about the love of my life." I couldn't help but laugh at his statement. "We can be lovey dovey after we stop this ship. Let's meet up with the others," I say. Ignis nods and we leave the room. We run down the ship's corridors until another alarm went off. Before we could say a word, a loud explosion caused our bodies to fly backwards and hit the wall.

I gasped in pain as I fell to the floor next to Ignis. My vision was blurry and I couldn't think straight. I saw blurry figures running towards us. I went to summon my bow but I was too weak. "(Y/n)...
(Y/n)!" I could hear Ignis shouting my name over and over again but I couldn't respond. "Iggy, you're hurt. I'll take care of (Y/n)!" I heard Prompto say. "Alright. Take good care of her," Ignis responds. Prompto picks me up in his arms and runs behind the group. I could feel the ship falling out of the sky as Prompto ran with me in his arms. "There's a small escape ship on the other side of the main ship. If we can reach that, we'll be safe," Noctis said.

Halfway to the back of the ship we ran into our first problem. "You've got to be kidding me..." Gladio grumbles. I open my eyes slowly and see that the other half of the ship has broken off. "We've gotta jump," Noctis said. "What about
(Y/n)?" Gladio asked. "Don't worry about me," I say. They all peeled their eyes away from the disaster and looked at me. Prompto sat me down gently and Ignis supported my weak body. "We are not leaving you," Ignis said. I put my hands on his cheeks and stared into his eyes. "I have a plan. You all get to the escape ship. I'll use what's left of my mana to summon Zenezia."

"But (Y/n), you're too weak," Noctis said. "You know I won't be able to make that jump. I need all of you to jump and get to that ship. I'll see you all on the ground... I promise." Ignis covered one of my hands with his. "Alright. I trust you." I smiled and kissed him gently on the cheek. The others looked reluctant but I was able to talk them into jumping. One by one they jumped to the other part of the ship. Ignis' eyes never left mine as he stood on the other side of the ship. I leaned against a nearby wall and tried to summon Zenezia. "Dammit... I don't have enough mana..." I mumble. "(Y/n), what's wrong?" Ignis asked. I was about to answer but another loud explosion interrupted me. "Ignis, go!"

Noctis, Prompto, and Gladio returned and took Ignis with them. More explosions filled the air and smoke hindered my vision. I searched a nearby room and found exactly what I needed. "Now I can restore my mana. How lucky of me to find this." I drink the blue liquid and feel my body return to normal, except for the wound on my shoulder. I run out of the room and jump off the edge of the ship. I summon Zenezia and she catches me with ease. "Thank Etro you're such a fast flyer." She snorted and I laughed at her. "You know I love you." I kiss the top of her head and she purrs lightly.

Zenezia takes me to our camp sight and sets me down a few feet away. She nudges me with her snout and I stroke the soft fur on her head. A green light surrounds my injured shoulder. I look at my shoulder and see the wound is no longer there. She casted water magic and cleaned the blood off my arm. "Thank you, Zenezia. I'll see you soon. Take care of yourself." She flies away and disappears out of my sight. I spot Ignis with a worried expression as he watched the sunset. I sneaked behind him and wrapped my arms around him. I leaned my head against his back and sighed in relief. "Told ya I'd be back in one piece~" I chirp. I unwrap my arms and Ignis immediately turns around and engulfs me in his warm arms.

"You worried me, (Y/n)," he whispered in my ear. I ran a gentle hand through his hair. "I'm a stubborn girl. It'll take more than that to kill me." He chuckles and pulls me closer. "Please, be more careful next time." I nodded and he stroked my
(h/c) hair. We break away from each other and I kiss him on the lips. A smile broke out across my face. Ignis ran a gloved hand over my cheek. "The others were worried as well. Let's go see them," he said. "But, not as worried as you." I grin at him and a small smirk appears on his face. "You know me too well, (Y/n)."
