~(Y/n)'s POV~

"Great... Way to start a day..." I huff and run for my life. I was being chased by a Garula through the plains of Eos. I was going to pick flowers, but I accidentally wandered into its territory. Now it's chasing me and I can't get a break. Up ahead I saw a cliff and couldn't believe my luck. I stop right at the edge and peer down. Waves crashed against the cliff and sprayed water everywhere. I would jump, but there were sharp rocks at the bottom.

The Garula stopped right in front of me and stomped its feet. The ground below me shook and I saw a crack forming between me and the Garula. It stares at me with furious eyes and I flinched. I thought I was dead until I heard gun shots. The Garula turned its attention to the person who was shooting. "You sure are ugly." A voice said. I looked passed the Garula and saw a man with blonde hair and blue eyes. He noticed me and smiled warmly.

I couldn't believe that someone was out this far. I thought I was alone. He kept firing at the Garula and it started to get riled up. The ground beneath me kept cracking. I gasped and didn't know what to do. The Garula gave me no space to move, only backwards and that wouldn't be pretty. "You're a tough one..." The man grumbled. The Garula had enough and charged at him. That was enough to break the ground under my feet.

The world around me sped by as I fell down the cliff. I grabbed a vine that was close to me and held on for dear life. "Noct, Iggy, Glad, keep it busy!" I heard the blonde shout. I looked down and I felt faint. "Hey, don't look down!" I snapped my head up and saw the blonde man. He reached a hand down for me. "Grab my hand!" He shouted. I reached to grab it, but I ended up slipping down a little. I yelped and wrapped both hands around the vine. Fear took over his features. He continued to reach down to me while I tried to reach up to him.

"It's too far!" I shout, fear making my voice shaky. "Dammit!" He yells in frustration. "Prom, it's dead!" Another man's voice screams. "Give me a hand!" The blonde shouted behind him. Minutes passed and I saw the vine was starting to break. "Th-the vine!" I shout. His eyes saw what I was seeing. "Guys, hurry!"

"Here's some rope!" A man with raven hair said. The blonde wrapped it around his arm and threw the other end down to me. I grabbed it without hesitation and he began pulling me up. When I was close enough to the edge, he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me back onto solid ground. I was so scared that I clung on to the stranger. He doesn't let me go and runs a gentle hand through my (h/c) hair. "You okay?" He asked. I nodded slowly and started crying.

"We should take her somewhere safe," a man with glasses suggested. "Good idea, Ignis," the raven haired man agreed. "N-no, it's fine..." I speak up. "She speaks~!" The blonde teases. I giggle and he smiles. "Hammerhead isn't too far. I can walk." I broke away from the blonde and stood up. "The least we can do is give you a ride," he said as he quickly stood up. "Prompto's right," the man with tattoos said. "Before I go anywhere with anyone, could I have your names?" I asked bashfully.

"I'm Prompto! This is Noctis, Ignis, and Gladiolus," he said and pointed to each of his friends. "It's nice to finally get the names of the people who saved me. I'm (Y/n)." All their faces lit up with shock. "You're (Y/n)?!" Prompto shouts. I nod at him with a confused look. "You're Cindy's younger sister," Gladio said. "You know my sister?" I ask curiously. They all nod and smile. "She's the one who helped repair our car," Ignis said. "Well, she is the car expert. I'm just the girl who stands on the sideline and watches," I sad sadly. I squeezed my hands together and looked down at the ground. Suddenly my hands were wrapped in Prompto's larger ones.

"I'm sure you're good at something. What do you do?" He asked. "It'd... Be easier to show you," I say softly. He nodded and let go of my hands. "This may sound strange, but I need one of you to attack me. My powers are only good when in combat." They looked confused and everyone took a step back. "Trust me, you won't land a scratch on me," I smile to reassure them. Gladio took a step forwards. "You sure about this?" I nodded and saw the resolve in his eyes. He summoned his sword and I stood a few feet away from him. "Attack me when you're ready," I said.

Gladio prepares his blade and runs at me. I quickly ready myself and wait for his strike. "Glad, stop!" Prompto yelled. He didn't listen and brought his sword down. I activated my powers and stopped his sword in mid swing. My (e/c) eyes were now shining a bright blue. Gladio was shocked and I grinned at him. I gently touched the edge of his sword and he flew back to where he started. My eyes go back to normal and Gladio sheathes his sword.

"Amazing," Ignis said with wide eyes. "What was that? It was so cool~!" Prompto ran over to me. "I'm able to manipulate objects. It's nothing really special." Prompto was shocked by my words. "What are you talking about? It's incredible!" He tried to reassure me. "It's just... Not useful. I can only use it to defend myself. What Cindy does helps others. Me... Not so much." I rub my arm shyly. Prompto didn't know what to say and I didn't blame him. Noctis walked over to the two of us and said we would be heading back to Hammerhead.

"It's alright. I couldn't possibly accept that kind offer. It might start unnecessary rumors if anyone were to see me with the Prince of Lucis," I said and took a step back. Noctis was shocked that I knew who he was. "You know who I am?" He asked. I giggled and smiled at the Prince. "Of course. Who wouldn't know the famous Prince Noctis who is to wed the beautiful Lady Lunafreya. Also, you told me your name earlier." Noctis gave an 'oh' look.

"She is right. It might not be the safest for her or you," Ignis stepped up. "I'll be fine on my own. Hammerhead is only about an hour by foot," I added. Noctis and Prompto both seemed reluctant but sighed in defeat. They both hopped in the black car along with Ignis and Gladio. Before the car could speed off, Prompto jumped out and grabbed my hand. I was confused and wondered what he could be planning. "I'll walk with you," he announced. "We'll see you later, Prom!" Gladio yelled and Ignis drove away with him and Noctis.

"P-Prompto, it's alright! You've already done enough for me," I say. He shook his head and stared into my (e/c) eyes with his blue ones. "What happens if you get chased again and no one's there to help you? I'd be so worried if I let a pretty girl walk home by herself." I blushed at his words and tried to hide my face. He realized what he said and began blushing, too. "You're too sweet, Prompto." His blush deepens after those words leave my mouth. I pecked him on the nose and he couldn't even form a sentence. "Come on, let's start heading back." I grab his hand and we both begin our long walk back to Hammerhead.

On the way, we chatted nonstop. Turns out, Prompto and I had a lot in common. We laughed with and at each other. He tried to show me something and jumped on a rock but ended up falling face first into a pile of mud. I cleaned him off and couldn't stop laughing. We were lucky and didn't run into any trouble on the way back.

"We're here," I say as we enter Hammerhead. "You're welcome to spend the night. After all, you did save my life today," I smile at him. He smiles back and we walk into the garage. I was grabbed and tightly squeezed by Cindy. "(Y/n), you're finally back!" She cheered. "Sorry I'm so late, Cici." I hug her back. She saw Prompto and a grin grew on her face. "I see you finally got a boyfriend~!" She teased. Prompto started choking on air and blushed. "No, sis. Without Prompto, I'd be dead," I tell the truth. Cindy's expression turned grave and she started examining me all over. "Sweetheart, are you okay?!" She asked frantically. I nodded and smiled. Next, I grabbed Prompto and brought him next to me.

"Prompto saved my life today. Twice, actually." Prompto rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "What happened?" Cindy asked worriedly. "Well..." I told her the whole story and she gasped. "I know I should've gone with ya. If I did, none of this would've happened." She sadly looked down. "No, it's not your fault. It's mine for being careless. I... Also wouldn't have met Prompto," I fiddled with my finger nervously. Cindy smiled at my statement and looked at Prompto. "Prompto, may I talk to ya in private?" Cici asked. He nodded and they both left the garage. I began cleaning up the garage and lost track of time.

An hour passes and Prompto returns with Cici in tow. I saw Prompto's face was red and he walked straight towards me. He was fidgeting and sweating a little. "Prompto, are you okay?" I ask, worry laced through my voice. He nods quickly and I grab his hands. "Calm down. What did Cici say?" I ask softly. He began blushing even more. "Prom, talk to me. Use words," I giggle. "O-okay, c-could we talk in p-private?" He asked. I nodded and guided him to my room. Before we left, I heard Cici laughing.

We reach my room and I make him sit on my bed. I get him a glass of water and he gulps it down. I wipe his forehead with a cool cloth. "There, all better," I smile. "Thank you, (Y/n)." He smiled back at me. "Now, what did you want to talk about? And don't hesitate either. I'm here if you need me."

He cleared his throat and stared into my (e/c) eyes. I felt as if he was searching for my soul. "Would, um, you like to go out with m-me?" He asked. I was shocked and my eyes grew wide.
"(Y-Y-n)?" I immediately hugged him. "Of course I will!" I chant. Prompto sighs in relief and hugs me back. "I am sssooo relieved!" He says happily. "All that sweating was you just being nervous? Cici must've noticed something and said it to you. That's why you were acting so strange."

"How did you know?" He asked. "Oh, please. I know my sister better than anyone. I know how she plays and it isn't fair." Prompto and I laughed together in each other's arms. "Oh, I haven't rewarded you for saving me today," I say and grin. "As long as you're safe, that's enough for me," he said. "Nope, I've got to give my knight a reward," I stated. I immediately kissed him on the lips and pulled away. "I hope you enjoyed your-"

Prompto smashed his lips against mine, ending my sentence abruptly. We pulled away after minutes of no air. "That. Was. Amazing..." He said between breaths. He fell on his back on my bed and took me with him. I fell on his chest and he began stroking my (h/c) hair. I started to feel relaxed and sleepy. My eyes started drooping, but I tried my best to keep them open. "Sleep tight, (Y/n)," he whispers. "As long as you're here, I will." I close my eyes and fall asleep with Prompto.
