~(Y/n)'s POV~
A man named Talcott came and told me about the whereabouts of Noctis, Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio. I haven't seen them in ten years. I can't even remember the last time I saw them all together. I was in Lestallum living a normal life and had a normal job. I couldn't believe the news and dropped all the books I was holding. Talcott laughed and helped me pick up the scattered books. "S-sorry about my clumsiness," I say. "No need to apologize. I'd be shocked too if I learned about friends I haven't seen in a long time. I heard when you left, they all went searching for you while Noctis was inside the crystal. I haven't told them about picking you up and thought I would surprise them," he said.
Talcott handed all my books back and I thanked him. "Y'know... Prompto talks about you all the time. Are you a couple?" He asked. "Not sure if we still are. I didn't tell him where I was going and I regret every second of it. I left him behind and probably broke his heart. I wouldn't be surprised if he had moved on," I say with sad eyes. "(Y/n), let's go. I'm sure he misses you more than anyone. He'll be very happy and surprised to see you." I nodded and followed Talcott to his truck.
"Where are they?" I ask. "They all are waiting at Hammerhead. Noctis has awoken from the crystal and I've already dropped him off. You were the last one to find. Not to mention... You were the hardest to find. Why did you go under a different name?" He asked. "I didn't want the others to find me. They have enough to worry about. I would only add to that stress." I lean my head back against the seat. "All of them said otherwise. Prompto won't shut up about you. He talks about your beautiful and sparkling (e/c) eyes, your glistening (h/c) hair, and your breathtaking smile. He misses you more than you think. I seriously doubt he's moved on by the way he speaks about you."
I smiled as I remembered all the cheesy pickup lines he used on me. Each one cracked me up and I always gave him a kiss on the cheek for his effort. He'd always blush and grin goofily at me when I caught him staring at me in the Regalia. Everyone would tease him and it would fluster him. I also adore the fact that he loves Chocobos. We went riding for his birthday and he loved every second of it. His adorable smile never left his face as we rode side by side. "(Y/n)?" Talcott snaps me back to reality and I blink rapidly. "Sorry, lost in memories."
Talcott chuckles and grins at me. "Of Prompto?" I began blushing and nodded slowly. Another chuckle escaped his throat as we arrived at Hammerhead. "That was quick," I say. "You spaced out for most of the drive," Talcott responded. I wasn't really surprised that I spaced out for so long. I've been doing it a lot recently, especially when I touch the locket Prompto got for me in Altissia. It has a picture of us hugging each other with goofy smiles. "I'll go get them." Talcott got out of the truck and disappeared into the garage. I opened the door and hopped out of his truck. I leaned against the truck and waited for everyone. A figure ran out of the garage looking around frantically. I recognize that blonde hair from anywhere.
My (e/c) eyes met with his blue ones and he gasped. "Prompto." His name rolls off my tongue with ease. The look on his face makes me want to cry. I could see tears streaming down his cheek. He didn't hesitate and ran to me. His arms wrapped around me comfortably and I hugged back. Warm tears hit my shoulder as he nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck. "You're back," he whispered in my ear. I ran a hand through his blonde hair and smiled. "Ever since I left, I've regretted not telling you. It tore me apart little by little each day. I thought about seeing you, but I had no clue where you were. I'm so sorry, Prompto." After my words leave my mouth, he hugs me tighter than before.
"Ever since you left, I've searched everywhere for you. Glad and Iggy both were helping me, but we couldn't find you anywhere. I've missed you so much, (Y/n). I don't care what happened in the past. You're in my arms right now. That's all that matters." I started crying and he gently wiped my tears away. I wiped his away as I could tell he was still crying. We both smiled happily at each other and locked out lips together. After the sweet kiss, Prompto leaned his forehead against mine. "I can't believe it's been ten long years," he said. "You sure do look different, Prom. But you're still the man I love." I peck him on the cheek and he grins. "I look different? You need to look in a mirror. You're more beautiful than I remember. These past ten years have been extra kind to you," he grinned. I shoved him playfully and he chuckles.
"No way..." I look behind Prompto to search for the owner of the voice. Ignis, Noctis, and Gladio were staring at me in shock. Prompto moved out of the way and stood by my side. "The group's finally back together," I smile. The shock never left from their faces. "Guys, it's not nice to stare," Prompto scolds. They realized what they were doing and turned their shocked expressions into smiles. "Wow, you all look old," I tease. "We know," Noctis chuckled. "But these ten years sure have been nice to you," Gladio comments. "See? Glad agrees," Prompto nudges me with his elbow.
"Where have you been?" Noctis questions. "I've been in Lestallum the whole time. I went under a different name and found a job." Prompto seemed like he wanted to say something. "Prom, what's wrong?" I ask. "I-um... It's nothing," he looked away sadly. "Excuse us for a moment," I say to Gladio, Ignis, and Noctis. I grab Prompto by the hand and drag him behind the garage. I entwine my fingers with his as I pull him to a stop. "Tell me what's wrong. I know you too well to know that you're not okay." I stare into his blue eyes. "Did... Did you find someone else?" He asked, sadness tinting his voice. I used my free hand to cup his cheek. "There's no way I would leave you, Prom. You're too special to me," I whisper the last part. His sad eyes were replaced with warm, happy ones.
"Thank goodness..." He sighs in relief. I laugh at his dramatic sigh and rub his cheek with my thumb. "You worry too much," I grin. He huffed and kissed me gently on the cheek. "Just about you." I nudged him playfully and poked his cheek. "Oh, I forget to do something!" His sudden shout surprises me and I jump a little. He started telling me cheesy pickup lines like his usual self and I couldn't stop laughing. "You're such a goofball," I tell him. He chuckles and kisses my hand. "But I'm your goofball." I smiled warmly and kissed his nose. "Yes, you are my goofball and always will be."
