A/n: You are from Cocoon and have fallen through a portal. You find yourself in Eos and must return to Cocoon. I will also include Lightning at the end because she is your childhood friend.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

When I opened my eyes, I quickly stood up and examined my surroundings. I was laying in the middle of a road surrounded by open fields. My memory floods back and I frantically search for Lightning. "Light? Light!" I shouted her name over and over again. After minutes and minutes of shouting, I crash to my knees and feel tears stinging the corner of my eyes. "I'm all alone..." A world I don't know anything about and I'm stuck in the middle of it. "Well, at least it's just me. The others need Lightning. I need to find a way back to Cocoon from wherever I am now." I summon my staff and begin following the road to wherever.

I reached a place named Hammerhead and searched around for anyone. A girl with blonde hair caught my attention and I sighed in relief. I walked over to her to get her attention. "Um, excuse me?" I speak up. She wipes her forehead and faces me with a smile. "Why, hello. Do ya need something, darlin'?" She asked. "Where exactly am I?" I ask slowly. "You're in Lucis, sweetheart. Are you lost?" I nodded and she disappeared into the garage. She came back with a map. A circle on the map caught my attention. "This is where we are. If you follow this road, you'll eventually find yourself in Insomnia. Someone there might be better help than I am."

I thanked her and waved farewell. I began the long trek to the city of Insomnia. Maybe I can find someone there who can help me with my situation.

~3rd Person POV (with Noctis)~

Ignis pulls the Regalia into Hammerhead. Gladio and Prompto found Cindy and told them their problems with the car. Noctis sighed and sat on the hood of the Regalia. Cindy, Gladio, and Prompto emerge from the garage and head over to the car. "I'll have her fixed up in a jiffy," Cindy announces. Everyone nods and Cindy begins working. Ten minutes fly by and Cindy finishes. "That was really quick," Prompto said. "All you needed was an oil change. Nothing too dramatic," she replied. All the men hopped into the Regalia.

"Oh! May I ask a favor of ya?" Cindy asked. Noctis nodded and waited for her request. "There was a girl who came by earlier. She was lost and I pointed her to Insomnia. Could you all be gentlemen and give the sweet thing a ride?"

"What does she look like?" Prompto asked, leaning over the seat in curiosity. "She has (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes. I also noticed she carries around a staff," Cindy answered. "A staff? I've never heard of someone carrying around one," Gladio said. "Yes, it's strange. Most people don't use staffs anymore. She must be a magic user," Ignis said. "Let's hurry and find her," Noctis proclaims. Ignis starts the car and takes off. They drove for five minutes until they saw a small figure coming into view. The sun bounced off the girl's (h/c) hair as she walked.

"We should park a few feet away from her. We don't want to frighten her, especially if she's a magic user," Ignis informs. "Good idea. One of us should ask her," Prompto said. All eyes landed on Noctis. He sighed and got out of the car. "Good luck," Gladio grinned. Noctis waved it off and began approaching the girl.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

I kept walking until I heard someone talking to me. I turned around and saw a man with raven hair and blue eyes. He tried to get closer, but I tapped my staff on the ground. A small wall of fire separated us. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. A friend of ours told us you were heading to Insomnia and she asked us to give you a ride," he said. I kept my blank expression and my silence never broke. I dispelled the fire wall and sighed. "I'm... Alright. Thank you for the offer. I'll get there on my own." I began walking away from the stranger. "Wait!" He shouts. I raise my staff and point it at him.

"Listen... I don't want to hurt you. I'll be fine," I say, trying to convince him. The determination never leaves his eyes. "Please-" I shot a small fireball near his feet. He jumps back and stares at me in shock. I turn away and tried to walk away. The man kept following me and it was starting to drive me crazy. I snap around and glare at him. "You are very persistent..." I mutter in annoyance. All he does is stare at me in silence. "Do you work for Niflheim?" He asked, a small hint of anger in his voice.

I looked at him with confusion. "I have no idea who that is," I answer honestly. Suddenly three more men approached and stood next to him. "Noct, what's going on?" A blonde man asked. "Who are you?" The blue eyed man asked. "(Y/n) (L/n)." The man wearing glasses pulled a phone out of his pocket and typed on it. "There is no one named
(Y/n) (L/n) anywhere. There are no records for her," he said. "Of course there wouldn't," I said. All the men glanced at me in surprise. "Why's that?" The man with tattoos asked. I felt hesitant to tell them where I was really from. Who said they would believe me? But I've got to tell someone about my situation.

"I'm... Not from this world," I answer simply. "That explains the staff and the strange clothes," the man with glasses states. I examine my outfit and my staff. I guess they would find it strange. After all, they're not items you would find in this world. "I never knew someone would believe me so easily," I said in disbelief. "It wouldn't be the craziest thing we've heard," the raven haired man smiled at me. "Then... I accept your kind offer," I say. They all smiled and gave me their names. "Let's head back to Insomnia," Noctis announces. He guides me back to a black car and he sits me next to him and Prompto.

We reach Insomnia and I gasped. It was a beautiful city filled with smiling and laughing people. It had a much different atmosphere than all of Cocoon. Most cities on Cocoon are full of rude and ignorant people. A hand suddenly waved in front of my face and I snapped my attention to who it was. "Spacing out?" Noctis questions. I nod and smile at him. "Insomnia is a beautiful city. No city on Cocoon compares to it," I compliment. "Is Cocoon your world?" Prompto asked. "Yes, my childhood friend and I grew up together on Cocoon. I'm hoping to return to her side quickly." I decided not to tell them about what Cocoon is going through with Pulse right now. It's none of their concern and I don't want them to worry about it. It's Cocoon's problem, not Eos'.

"I'll check the library," Ignis said and walked off down the hallway of the palace. "So... (Y/n), what do you do for fun?" Prompto asked. I pondered for a moment and couldn't think of anything. "We could always catch a ride on a Chocobo," Noctis suggests. I stare at him in shock. "You have Chocobos here?" I ask. "Yeah! Chocobos are the best~!" Prompto chants. "Do they have Chocobos on Cocoon?" Noctis questions. "Yeah, I've actually raised one myself. She died a few years ago of old age. I'd love to go Chocobo riding," I smile. Gladio chuckled and spoke up. "You three go enjoy your time together. I'm going to help Ignis." He left and only Noctis, Prompto, and I were left.

Prompto and Noctis take me to a small Chocobo ranch and we rent three Chocobos. "How about a race?" Prompto asked. "Let's do it," Noctis and I said in unison. We all lined up next to each other and the race began. Noctis and Prompto were both ahead of me by a few inches. I whispered to my Chocobo and he began speeding up. I passed Prompto and Noctis with ease. They both couldn't catch up and I won by a landslide. I got off my Chocobo and waited for them to stop fighting over second place. Noctis eventually passed Prompto and came in second. The blonde started to whine and complain because he lost. Noctis started to comfort his friend as I returned the Chocobos. That day, I had the time of my life.

-Months Later-

I stare down at the picture of Lightning and I as kids. We were hugging each other and smiling like idiots. I giggled lightly and heard the door to the garden open. Noctis joined me and glanced down at the photo. "Who's that?" Noctis asked, pointing at Lightning. "That's Lightning. She's my best friend. We've grown up together like sisters. She and her sister would always hang out with me." I couldn't tear my eyes away from the picture. Noctis gently took my hand and squeezed it to reassure me. "I need to tell you something," he says. I put the picture away and give him my full attention. "I received a call from Cor saying a portal to a strange world has appeared."

My eyes widen. "Could... It be?" I ask myself. Noctis helps me stand up and guides me to the Regalia. "I've told Gladio, Ignis, and Prom that I would take you to the portal myself. Are you ready?" I nodded and he drove to the portal. Once we arrived, men were surrounding it. "Cor, step down," Noctis commands. Cor does as he says and his men back away. I step towards the portal and see the familiar pink hair. "Lightning..." She must've heard me because she snaps her head around and our eyes meet. "(Y/n)..." She mumbles. Lightning steps through the portal and hugs me. "We've been searching all of Cocoon for you," she said. I was shocked at her soft and worried voice. She's usually so stern with everyone. I looked into the portal and saw Hope, Vanille, Fang, Snow, and Sazh smiling at me. I waved at them and their smiles grew.

"Are you ready to head home?" Lightning asked. "Yeah, but I need to do something before I go." Lightning nods and breaks the hug. I turn and see Noctis with a sad smile. I walked over to him and placed a hand on his cheek. "Thank you for everything, Noct. I won't ever forget what we did together. I hope the next time I see you is when I know a way to and from both our worlds." I kiss him on the cheek and head back to the portal. Lightning jumps through the portal back to Cocoon. I was about to until I was grabbed by my wrist and spun around. Noctis' lips found mine hungrily. I kissed back immediately and we stayed glued together until we needed oxygen.

"I'll miss you, (Y/n)," he whispers to me. I smile sadly at him. "As will I, Noct. I'm hoping to see you soon. Don't forget about me." He hugs me and whispers in my ear. "I could never forget you." I ran a hand through his raven hair and kissed him one more time. I stepped through the portal and all of Eos disappeared before my eyes.
