19) Ignis
A/n: You don't have to listen to the music. It's from another game and thought it would fit the abandoned ruins I tried to imagine.

~(Y/n)'s POV~
"I can't believe it..." I mutter as I see the entrance of the abandoned ruins. "Told you~" Prompto grinned. I cross my arms and glance around. Foliage covered most of the ruins and only part of the entrance was visible. "This is too dangerous," Ignis said. I and Gladio nodded in agreement. "We won't be long," Noctis said. A sigh escapes me and I rub my forearm. Ignis stood next to me and grabbed the hand I was rubbing my forearm with. "I don't trust this, either," he whispered to me. He always knows when I'm nervous and tries to comfort me. Noctis and Prompto began begging and pleading with us. In the end, we lost to them.
All of us enter the ruins. Ignis stayed behind the group with me. Noctis and Prompto were both excited and were acting like kids. Ignis and I sigh in unison. "I feel more like a babysitter than an advisor..." I mumble. Ignis chuckles and fixes his glasses. "I as well." We both laughed and we saw the group looking at us. They were all grinning goofily. "It's strange," Noctis said. "What is?" Ignis asked.
"Ever since (Y/n) began working with you, you've been more... Loose," Noctis answered. "Yeah, you're more fun to be around, Iggy," Prompto added. Ignis glared at Prompto for his comment. Prompto flinches and steps behind Gladio. "They are a good couple," Gladio comments. Noctis and Prompto glanced at Gladio in shock. "You're dating?!" Prompto shouts. I nod and begin to blush. "How long?" Noctis asked, shock written all over his face. "A year," I answer while trying to hide my face. "I'm not surprised you didn't notice. You two are blind when it comes to the world around you," Ignis said. I tried to not laugh but couldn't hold it in. They didn't deny it which made it even more funny.
"(Y/n) is so cute~! I'm kinda jealous," Prompto said. My blush started to deepen and I hid behind Ignis. "Let's get this over with. I don't want to be in here much longer," Ignis states, ignoring Prompto. We continue down the long hallway. Gladio found a torch and lit it. I ran a hand over the strange carvings on the wall. A cold shiver made me direct my attention in front of us. Prompto went to take a step forward but I stopped him. "What's wrong?" He asked. I picked up a stone and tossed it where Prompto was about to step. The floor gave out and wooden spikes were revealed. A couple of bodies were already down in the pit, decayed into a pile of bones.
"Thanks," Prompto said. I smiled and nodded at him. I used ice magic to make a small bridge for us to cross the pit. It was a little slippery, but we all made it over. Gladio lit our way and we found ourselves in the center chamber of the ruins. A throne sat in the middle of the room with strange statues on either side of it. Gladio and Ignis checked out the statues while Prompto and Noctis checked the walls for anything suspicious. I walked over to the throne and saw a strange indenture on the armrest. I tapped it and nothing happened. I took a few steps back and regretted it immediately. I had no time to react and couldn't scream. The floor under me opened up and I was swallowed into darkness.
~3rd Person POV~
"(Y/-" Ignis turned around and found the girl missing. He checked around the whole room and found no trace of her. "(Y/n)!" He shouts. This got everyone's attention. "Did she go to a different room?" Noctis asked. "She was checking the throne a few seconds ago and now she's gone," Ignis replied, worry laced through his voice. Ignis searched around more frantically and fear built up inside of him. Prompto went over to the throne and saw the weird symbol on the armrest. He was curious and ran a finger over it.
"That's weird..." He muttered. He backed away and the floor opens up. Prompto yells and Gladio caught him before he fell. "T-thanks," he said, his voice shaking from the sudden trap. "You don't think..." Gladio started. "Let's search the other parts of the ruins. (Y/n)'s got to be here somewhere and we will find her," Noctis said with determination. They all nodded and found two flights of stairs. "Maybe we should split into two groups," Prompto suggested. "I don't like the idea, but we would be able to find (Y/n) quicker that way," Ignis replied. Gladio went with Prompto while Ignis and Noctis grouped up.
Ignis and Noctis immediately broke into a run to search for the missing girl. Every second that passes, Ignis' worry for (Y/n) grew and grew. Noctis could sense his worry and calmed him down. He's never seen Ignis so worried before in his life. Noctis was also worried for the (e/c) eyed girl. They finally reached the end of the stairs which led to what looked like an alter. Dried blood was everywhere and the stench was horrible. Both men covered their nose to block out the odor.
"Let's search around," Noctis said. Ignis checked the walls and Noctis examined the alter. They found nothing and decided to head down another flight of stairs. The room was dark and only a small crack in the wall gave off a small beam of light. They lit a torch and continued their search for (Y/n).
~(Y/n)'s POV~
I opened my eyes and saw the world around me was upside down. My vision was blurry and my head was pounding. I groan in pain and look up. "Great..." My feet were tangled in vines and I sighed in annoyance. I went to cut them, but a wave of pain hit me. Another groan escapes my throat. Without anything else to do, I began shouting names left and right. No answer. An idea struck me and I tried to use fire on the vines. I kept trying and trying but my mana was too low. "I am so useless," I sadly whimper. I felt tears cascade down my cheek and fall to the ground below me.
I closed my eyes and hoped Ignis or anybody would find me before I passed out but I knew it was futile. The blood kept rushing to my head and I passed out quickly. ".. /n)... (Y/n)... (Y/n)!" I felt a gloved hand on my cheek, but I couldn't open my eyes. "I'll cut her free," I heard Noctis say. A sudden warmth enveloped my body as I felt myself fall. "(Y/n), can you hear me?" Ignis asked. I wanted to nod but was still too weak from hanging upside down too long. "We need to get her out of here," Noctis said. I felt my body being lifted up and a cool breeze rushing through my hair.
The warm sensation of the sun on my skin signified that we were outside of the ruins. "Hand me an elixir," Ignis said. A cold vile on my lips made me want to open my eyes but failed. "She can't swallow it. I'm going to have to do it another way," Ignis mutters. Suddenly warm lips covered mine and a familiar tasting liquid ran down my throat. I swallowed it and was able to open my eyes. When I did, Ignis was still kissing me. I looked around and saw the others looking at me with worry. "(Y/n)!" Prompto was the first to notice I was awake. Ignis broke the kiss and stared into my (e/c) eyes with relief. "Are you alright?" He asked. I nodded and he helped me to my feet.
"Prom almost fell for the same thing," Gladio said and pointed at Prompto. "I was too shocked to even yell. Then I found my feet tangled in vines. I was starting to feel unwell after hanging upside down for so long," I explain. "Let's all agree to never do something as dangerous as this again," Ignis said while glaring at Promtpo and Noctis. They took refuge behind Gladio to hide from Ignis' intimidating glare. I agree with him and rub my forehead. "Can we head home? I still have a headache from all of this," I complain. Ignis helps me in the front seat and the other three get in the backseat. We leave the ruins behind and never return.
