Quick note: Bayek is known as a Medjay, not an assassin. I will be using the correct term.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

A surge of pain shot through my entire body as I tried to stand. My vision was blurry and nearby voices were jumbled together, making it hard to register what they were saying. It sounded as if they had a Greek accent, which was not very reassuring. Once I was able to stand, I realized I couldn't go far. As my vision cleared, so did my surroundings. I was being held in a small cell made out of wood.

"Where's Gladio?" I ask, frantically looking to the cell next to mine. The person next to me was not Gladio, but they did notice my gaze. The man flew up to his feet and gripped the wooden bars tightly. "You are not from Egypt or Greece. I can tell by your clothes and the way the soldiers speak of you."

"No, I'm not from either. I'm... from Rome," I lie through my teeth.

"I have never met a person from Rome. You are very beautiful. If all Romans are like you, I may have to visit."

The soldiers rush over and silence the two of us. Finally absorbing what was going on, I sigh in annoyance. "There's no way I got sucked into a video game."

Even as I tried to deny it, there was a feeling inside of me bubbling up and saying it was the truth. "Prompto just had to drag me and Gladio to his apartment to show off his new game, didn't he..."

I fell to the hard floor of the cell with another sigh of annoyance. My head leaned against the bars as I watched the soldiers argue with one another. Since I had time, I play through all of what Prompto said about the game.

Distracted by my thoughts, I wasn't aware of the accumulating dead bodies until I heard the sound of a blade piercing flesh. The body of the soldier guarding my cell crumpled to the ground. A figure I recognized from Prompto's game stood before me.

"Are you alright?" He asked, unlocking the door to my small cell.

"Yes, I'm alright. Thank you," I reply.

"Medjay, you're here to save us!" The man next to me cries out. Once I was safely out of the cell, the Medjay helped the man next. I overheard the two men talking as we left the small encampment. Learning our savior's name, I thank him properly.

"Thank you, Bayek."

"It is my duty as a Medjay to help those in need. If I may, I do have one question for you."

"Ask away."

"There is a man searching for a young lady named (Y/n). Would you happen to know where I could find her?"

"No need to look any further. I am (Y/n). Does the man you speak of wear strange clothes like myself and is very tall?"

Bayek nods with a smile. "Indeed. He was running around all of Alexandria looking for you. I offered to help and heard about a young lady with strange clothes being taking to an encampment not far from the city."

I sighed in relief. "It's good to hear he's alright. If it's not too much trouble, may I ask for directions to Alexandria? I just arrived in Egypt a few days ago."

"I'd gladly escort you to the city myself. Your husband will be glad to see your safe return to his side."

My cheeks reddened at Gladio being called my husband. Bayek noticed my flushed cheeks and chuckled. "Ah, newlyweds. I remember the phenomenal day I married the love of my life."

Ceasing the teasing, Bayek whistled and a camel answered the call. With help from the Medjay, I was able to get on the camel's back. Bayek sat in front of me and easily steered the docile creature to Alexandria. An hour passes before we enter the grand city.

The bustling streets reminded me of home, but I couldn't let the feeling consume me. As we passed countless of beautiful architect and myriads of stalls decorated with small ornaments of different materials, Bayek pulled the camel to the side.

"Where are we?" I ask as he helps me off the camel. My eyes lock on the building in front of us.

"The Library of Alexandria. I asked for your husband to wait here for our return," Bayek replies. We enter the library and I'm taken aback.

"This place is beautiful." The words slip out of my mouth before I know it.

"A grand library filled with vast knowledge. It is worth a visit especially if you're a scholar," Bayek said. My eyes traveled to the plethora of Greeks roaming around the library. I look pass them and spot the one person I desperately wanted to see. Gladio was pacing back and forth with a worried expression plastered to his face. Bayek urged me forward and I made my way over to the distraught man.

"Gladio," I call out his name sweetly. Stopping in his tracks, he turns towards me with wide eyes. The bodyguard closed the distance between us in a heartbeat. Two muscular arms encased my body against a broad chest and I ravished in the familiar warmth. Smiling, I wrap my arms around his neck. We remained silent until our hugging session ended.

"Are you okay?" He asked, checking over my body for any injuries.

"Yeah. Much better thanks to Bayek. Are we really-"

"Not a doubt in my mind. We're stuck in that game Prompto was playing."

"How long have you been here?"

"Not long. You've been out for a whole day in our world."

Taking a step back, I raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "That's not possible. I just woke up." Gladio kneeled to my height and pushed a loose strand of (h/c) hair away from my eyes. "(Y/n), you've been here for a whole day. I woke up in the streets only a few hours ago. That's when I asked around for you."

"And that's when Bayek began searching for me," I finish. Gladio nods to confirm my suspicions. As our concern of returning home grew, Bayek appeared at our side. Gladio thanked the Medjay for helping me.

"I am more than happy to see the both of you reunited. Also," Bayek halted his words as he glanced at Gladio. "I heard about your skirmish with a few soldiers not long ago. I could use a man with skill in this next mission Phanos has requested of me."

"I'm in. I could use some practice," Gladio smirks. He suddenly threw an arm over my shoulders, pulling me into his side. "And she's coming along, too. Her skills as an assassin will definitely come in handy."

"I look forward to working with both of you," Bayek beams. "Meet me outside the library once you're ready to depart." The Medjay left and I immediately turned to Gladio, placing my hands on my hips as I freed myself from his grip. "Gladio, why did you say that?!"

"What? You are a real assassin. With your ability to sneak, it'll help us in the long run."

"I'm aware I hunt and kill people for a living, but you still didn't need to tell Bayek that I am an assassin." I cross my arms with a glare.

"You make it sound as if being an assassin is bad. You've saved Noct and His Majesty numerous of times from Niflheim's hitmen. Not to mention, you saved my ass along with Iggy's and Prompto's. I'd say you deserve a damn medal for your dedication and skills for keeping all of us safe."

Absorbing his words, I couldn't stay mad. I knew in the end, I was saving a life when I took one in exchange. Gladio began to smile and ruffled my hair. "Noct and Prom admire you. They love games about assassins and you're one in real life. It doesn't get any better than that. Hell, I'm the one who's lucky."

"I'm glad I'm not here all alone. When I woke up in that cell, I was completely lost and scared."

Gladio pulled me into a warm and gentle hug, resting his head atop mine while swaying my body back and forth slowly. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. I should've-"

I nimbly cut him off with my lips. The kiss was short, but it was enough to stop him. "It's over now. The only issue we face now is how to get back home. In the meantime, let's help Bayek. We might be able to find a way home if we aid him."

Gladio nods and frees me from his embrace once he was able to steal a kiss from me. We leave the library and meet up with the Medjay. He told us of Phanos' request and I couldn't believe it. A group of his actors have been captured and our job is to locate and safely return them to the theater. Our destination was an encampment within the beautiful city, which was only a few minutes on horseback from the library.

Dismounting our horses, Bayek quickly went over the plan of infiltration. While he and Gladio dealt with the soldiers on the ground, I would climb to the ramparts, kill the soldiers standing guard, and destroy the brazier to prevent reinforcements. I nod in understanding and prepare to scale the wall to reach the ramparts. Before I could climb, I was pulled into a sweet and intoxicating kiss.

"Be careful, (Y/n)."

"I should be the one telling you that. This is my job, after all," I beam. Gladio scoffs and twirls a (h/c) strand around his finger. "You still get carried away sometimes and end up injured," he said. Patting him on the chest, I grin at him. "I'll come back with not even a scratch."

"I'll be holding you to that."

We exchanged one more kiss before I began my part of the mission. Scaling the wall proved to be a breeze as I took out two soldiers who were near a ballista. Another appears after hearing the struggle, but I easily dispose of him. Sneaking through the ramparts, I took down another three soldiers and destroyed the brazier.

I detected movement in my peripheral vision and saw a man who had seemed to have been in a terrible accident.

(A/n: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! DO NOT READ PASS THIS WARNING IF YOU WISH TO AVOID SPOILERS!!!)

(I'm aware that you kill Eudoros in the bathhouse in Alexandria, but I will be changing that.)

My eyes were glued to the man as he taunted a group of men who were imprisoned. Glaring at the man, I silently closed in to hear what the prisoners were saying.

The only word I was able to hear before the man ended his taunting was "actors". Making sure to not be spotted, I searched for Gladio and Bayek. The two were working in sync, killing five soldiers without alerting any others. They made their way to where the actors were and opened the makeshift door.

"Men, get them!" The man from earlier shouts. A small gasp escapes my lips as I watch Gladio and Bayek being surrounded by soldiers.

"I've been looking forward to your visit, Medjay," the man cackles. "I didn't expect you to have strange company with you."

"Eudoros, who would've known I'd get to kill you while helping a dear friend. I will gladly spill your tainted blood for killing my son!" Bayek yells, fury engulfing his being. The man, Eudoros, only chuckles deeply in response.

After a prolonged silence, Eudoros finally spoke. "You won't be able to lay a hand on me, you mangy Medjay."

Taking a stand, I ready my dagger. "He may not be able to touch you, but I can." All eyes fell upon me at my reveal. Eudoros glares up at me and orders the soldiers to attack. Gladio shouted my name and tried to make me run away. Ignoring him, I jump from my perch and aim my dagger directly at Eudoros' heart. Arrows were fired at me left and right, but I easily block each one. In a blink of an eye, my blade sunk into Eudoros' chest and caused a massive amount of blood to pour everywhere.

Gladio and Bayek wiped out the soldiers before they could touch me. When I yanked my blade out of his chest, a wave of dizziness came over me. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me as my legs gave out and the world around me was engulfed in darkness.

<-----<<<<

I suddenly flew up with a bloodcurdling scream. As I tried catching my breath from screaming so loud, the door to the room I was in flew open. Gladio and Prompto stormed into the room. The first to reach me was the brute himself. He cupped my cheeks in his warm hands, reassuring we were fine and helping me calm my erratic breathing. My heartbeat steadied along with my deep breaths. Gladio refused to let go of me after I had calmed down.

"W-we're back home?" I stutter, scanning the room with my eyes.

"Yeah, we're back in Prom's apartment."

Glancing towards the blonde, I noticed he was sitting in the edge of his bed. Worry brimmed from his aquamarine eyes as he gazed back. "Um, are you okay? You just suddenly collapsed in the living room two days ago. Gladio wanted to take you to the hospital, but then he fell unconscious. What happened?"

"I don't think we know what happened either, Prom. But, thank you for letting me stay in your bed. Where'd you sleep while I was here?"

"On the couch. I called a doctor for both of you, but all he said was you both were asleep and no physical damage was done."

Gladio's amber irises met my (e/c) ones. We both were thinking the same thing and decided not to tell the blonde. "We probably fainted from exhaustion. We did have a pretty heated sparring lesson the day before I collapsed," I said, lying through my teeth. Gladio agreed with my tall tale and Prompto believed every word. With our explanation out of the way, the sharpshooter ran out of the room to prepare a few drinks.

"Now that we're finally home and alone, I can do this," he said, a devious smirk on his face. I couldn't get a word in before his lips slammed against mine. The kiss quickly turned deep and heated as time seemed to freeze around us. Gladio pushed me down on the bed, pinning my smaller frame under his muscular one. Realizing where we were, I push on his chest and freed my lips from his intoxicating ones.

"Gladio, we're still in Prom's apartment."

"And?"

Glaring lightly, I shoot him an unamused look. A groan of displeasure left the brute as he got off of me. A smile forms on my face at his pouting expression. It's as if I had just taken a toddler's favorite toy away. I kiss him on the cheek and get to my feet. "We'll finish what we started at my place."

"Promise?" The pout was instantly replaced with a smirk. My smile widens and I poke his cheek.

"Promise."
