~(Y/n)'s POV~

"Where the hell are we?" I ask, brushing sand off my clothes. Noctis stood next to me while glancing around. "Not sure. All I remember was the two of us sittin' in my apartment playing Assassin's Creed."
Pacing back and forth, I try to come up with an explanation. Sadly, nothing comes to mind. I sigh heavily and run a hand through my (h/c) hair.

"Well, we're clearly not on Eos." I cross my arms and glance at Noctis when a crazy thought surfaces. "You don't think we got sucked into the game, do you?" Noctis didn't dismiss the idea-his eyes widened and he grabbed my hand. "Only one way to find out."

Noctis dragged me down the island until we reached the vast ocean. Squinting, I saw two ships sailing straight towards the island we were on. "Well, there's our answer," Noctis mumbles. As the ships approached, I grabbed the prince and pulled him into a bush. "Which one were you playing?" I ask just above a whisper.

"Black Flag," he responds.

"The one with the pirates?"

Noctis nods to confirm my question. Another sigh escaped my lips as I slumped against a tree next to the bush. "Out of all the ones to choose, you decided to play the one with pirates..." My words earned a small chuckle from the raven haired boy.

"Let's find a way to get-"

I was interrupted when I was grabbed and pulled from the bush. Noctis immediately jumped out and lunged at the person who was holding me. Our hands were about to connect until the person pulled out a cutlass and held it against my throat. Noctis froze and glared daggers at the man.

"He encontrado piratas (I've found pirates)!" The man shouts in Spanish. A group of men wearing yellow uniforms emerged from the foliage. Noctis tried to summon his blade, but he was having difficulties. "Noct, what do we do?" I whisper while the man holding me was distracted.

"I-I don't know. None of my powers are working," he said, still trying to summon any weapon he could. Suddenly, the group of men surrounded Noctis and tried to apprehend him. Seeing his defiance, the man pushed the sword closer to my throat. I gasp as I felt the blade dig into my neck.

"Dammit," Noctis growls under his breath. I watch helplessly as they restrain him and drag both of us to the ships that we failed to keep an eye on. We were thrown into the brig without even getting a word in. Both of us looked out the small porthole, watching as the island got smaller and smaller.

"So, I'm guessing we were captured by Spaniards?" I glance at Noctis. He nods with annoyance written all over his face. "Negotiation is out the window if none of them speak English," he states.

"Guess we're on our own," I said.

Noctis suddenly grabbed and yanked on my wrist, causing me to crash onto his chest. Using his other hand, he lifted up a few strands of my (h/c) hair and glared at the cut along my neck. "Bastard's gonna pay," he snarls.

"It's just a cut. It's not like he took my arm," I said.

"Yeah, but he still cut and touched you," he fires back. Smiling, I run a hand through his raven hair. "I'm sure you'll get your revenge." Noctis gave me a confused glance. I nodded towards the porthole and to the approaching ship that wasn't flying Spanish flags. Noctis suddenly tackled me to the deck as the sound of wood splitting surrounded us. Battle cries were heard along with the firing of cannons and the echoes of boots hitting the deck above.

Looking up, I saw our cell door was torn to shreds. I tapped Noctis on the back and nodded to our escape route. "Let's get the hell out of here," he said, pulling me up with him. Hand in hand, we run to the upper deck-greeted by the scene of a bloody battle. A few of the Spaniards noticed our escape and charged at us. We tried to summon our blades, but our attempt was futile.

"What do we do?" I turn my worried look towards Noctis. His grip on my hand tightened at my question. "Not sure. Whatever happens, do not leave my side." I nod and we step away from the fighting just as the Spaniards who noticed us were killed. As blood began to stain every inch of the deck, I spotted a figure out of the corner of my eye. Getting a closer look, I recognized the outfit.

"Um, isn't that Edward?" I ask. Noctis shoots up and glances to where I was pointing. His eyes widen as the pirate shoots Spaniards left and right. "Y-yeah, it is. We've definitely been sucked into the game."

The battle ceased once all the Spaniards were dead. Noctis and I thought we were safe until one of Edward's crew members spotted us and aimed a pistol at our heads. "Oi, Capt'n! We've found two more!" Hearing his crew member, Edward made his way over. A few more pirates surrounded us, staring at our strange appearance. "Are you in league with the Spaniards?" Edward questions.

"Like hell we are," Noctis snarls. The shakiness in his voice was completely gone when he spoke to him. This earned a smirk from the pirate captain. "Random citizens, aye? Where are you two from, lad?"

Noctis fell into deep thought. He must be trying to remember a town that was within the game. Taking a step forward, I answer in his stead. "We hail from Havana."

"It seems you do not have passage home. The Jackdaw will gladly take you," Edward said. Looking towards Noctis, he nods and we board the ship. The prince was taken to the captain's quarters while I stayed on the main deck. My eyes scanned all around and found all the crew members staring at me. A sensation of uneasiness washed over me at their stares. Suddenly, a hand was placed on my shoulder and I looked to see who it was. Searching my memory, I remember his name was Adéwalé.

"Get back to work!" He shouts in a deep voice. I thank the man for his intervention. "Don't worry about it. The men haven't seen a woman in weeks. I'm sure none of them have ever seen one as beautiful in their whole life."

Hearing the compliment, I became embarrassed. Adéwalé chuckled and released my shoulder. "The whole crew of the Jackdaw will make sure you return home safely." I smile up at the much taller man next to me. After we had a small conversation, Noctis and Edward emerge from the captain's quarters. Their eyes landed on me as soon as I was in view. "So, the young lass has a sword arm. I'd like to have a dual with her," Edward said.

"Noctis... did you..." I glare at the prince.

"I kinda let it slip you were the one who taught me to wield a sword."

My glare sharpens as he tears his eyes from me. Sighing, I accept the dual with Edward. "Are there any terms to this dual?" I ask.

"None whatsoever, lass. A simple dual is all I ask."

"Deal."

Edward grins at my response and hands over one of his blades. It was much lighter than the one I normally wield. My grip on the hilt tightened as the deck was cleared for our dual. All gathered around and watched in silence as Edward stood opposite of me. Being the captain, I let him have the first move.

Edward quickly closes the distance between us and strikes. I easily block his blow and push him away. Smirking, I charge at him and wait for his blade to swing down. Once he did as I planned, I nimbly jump over him and swipe his feet from under him. Edward lands harshly on the deck with a loud thud and a painful grunt. Claiming victory, I rest the sword against his neck.

"Well, blow me down. The lass has skills after all," he said as Adéwalé helped him to his feet. "The little lady has defeated our captain. Shall we hand over command to her?" Adéwalé teases. Noctis smiled hearing those words. Waving a hand, I shook my head. "I'll leave the helm to you, Captain Kenway."

"A fine an' honest lass you've got yourself," Edward directed towards Noctis. The prince crosses his arms with a smirk. "I'm a lucky guy." I roll my eyes with a grin and give Edward his sword back. Once he took his blade, our eyes met. "How about you do a small job for me?"

"What kind of job?"

"An assassination. The target is a Templar by the name Benjamin Hornigold. A piece of shite who needs to be wiped off the map."

"Could you give me a few minutes to discuss this with my... fiancé?"

Noctis choked on air as I dragged him away from everyone. I waited for him to compose himself before speaking up. "Should we go along with this?"

"Why not? There's nothing else we can do. Maybe we'll find a way home if we do agree. There's gotta be some trick to getting home."

A heavy sigh left my lips. "You're right. If we assassinate this man, maybe it'll lead us closer to home."

Noctis closed the distance between us and cupped my cheeks in his hands. "We'll get home, I promise." He gingerly kisses me on the lips and leans his forehead against mine. Smiling, I place my hands over his. "I know we will."

We return to Edward and agree to the assassination. The captain smiled and cheered with his crew. "One more Templar who will be swimming with the fishes, lads!" More cheers erupted from the exuberant crew.

Edward got behind the helm and steered us to our destination-The Santanillas. He informed Noctis and I of Hornigold's sudden stop at the ancient Mayan ruins on the three islands. Edward keeps the Jackdaw out of sight while the crew prepares a dingy. Once ready, the three of us hop on the small boat and row to the closest island.

As we reached shore, Edward handed Noctis a sword and gave me a small dagger. "Stay hidden while you take him out. Leave the others to us," Edward informs. Noctis gave me a quick peck on the lips when Edward wasn't looking. "Be careful, (Y/n)."

"I should be the one saying that. You're the careless one here," I laugh. Noctis smiled and stole another kiss from my lips.

"You're bad at this."

"Bad at wha-"

I pulled on his collar and kissed him deeply. His aquamarine eyes widen, but he soon relaxed and kissed back. I cut the kiss short when Edward cleared his throat. He was smirking while our cheeks were hot as the sun. "Save it for later," the captain chuckled.

I nod meekly and decide to change the subject. "I'll go around the shore and search for him."

"Do ya know what the piece of shite looks like?"

"I'm pretty sure he'll be dressed different from his crew."

"Smart lass. Head back to the Jackdaw once he's dead."

Noctis and Edward head in the opposite direction while I slowly make my way to the ruins. I spotted a few men but easily sneak by them. 'Thank the Six for the Crownsguard's advance stealth training,' I thought. As I made it to the ruins, a man with a scar running between his brows caught my attention. "Must be Hornigold," I mumble to myself. I nimbly climb to a higher advantage point and watch the other men around him. The dagger in my hand glinted in the sun as I eyed the pirate. My eyes traveled to the bush when I spotted movement. I was able to see Noctis as he knocked a man unconscious. Our eyes met and he sent me a charming smile.

"Now I can go in for the kill," I said, mentally thanking Noctis and sending him a smile in return. Gripping the blade tightly, I silently jump down and sneak up behind Hornigold. Before he could even flinch, I slide the blade into his neck. His body slowly turned to face me as he began to gurgle on his own blood. "Who... the hell..." Hornigold didn't get to finish his sentence before his body collapsed to the ground. Blood poured from his neck as his eyes became vacant of life. Suddenly, I felt lightheaded and fell to my knees. The sound of Noctis shouting my name was all I could make out before I fell unconscious.

Snapping back to consciousness, I gasp and immediately take in my surroundings. When I tried to get up, my body was pinned by Noctis'. His arms were wrapped protectively around me and refused to budge an inch. I gently run a hand through his hair, hoping that would be enough to rouse him. A faint grumble left the prince's lips as he opened his eyes.

"What happened?" He asked, confusion apparent in his voice.

"Not sure, but-" I glance around the room with a smile. "We're back in your apartment." Still holding me close, Noctis sits up with me in his arms and looks around his apartment. Sighing in relief, he buries his head in the crook of my neck. "Thank the Six..." His breath tickled my neck, making a few giggles erupt from me.

Noctis still refused to let go of me when I begged him to let me move to the couch. "No, you're staying right here," he states. Without another word, his lips found mine and passionately kissed me. Though we were still on the floor, I didn't mind at all. I was more than happy to be anywhere as long as Noctis was with me. A smirk suddenly found its way onto his face after our make-out session.

"So... fiancé?"

"Don't you dare."
