165) Noctis

~(Y/n)'s POV~

Unpacking for the night was bearable until Zin and Zen began to mess with each other. The two baby dragons rolled around, nipping at each other playfully. Gladio took the chairs from me so I could deal with the troublemakers. Stomping over to them, I stand in between the two. Zin and Zen stare up at me with confused eyes as I placed my hands on my hips.

"Alright, you two. No more fighting. We can't have you destroying anything," I sternly state. Both of them nod and plop on their behinds with small pouts. I giggle and pat them on the head. "Just... behave for tonight. I promise to let the both of you transform tomorrow to help us hunt." They happily jumped on me, causing my body to fall. Before my body hit the ground, two arms caught me. Recognizing the warmth, I smiled at Noctis. "Thank you."

He smiles and steadies me as the two dragons hop off of me. Once Noctis let go, Zin and Zen jumped on him. "Woah!" He yells out in surprise, landing on the hard ground. While Zin licked his cheeks, Zen played with Noctis' hair. A giggle escapes my lips as I watched the scene before me. "Alright, alright. That's enough, you two. You're not puppies," Noctis chuckled. Zin and Zen get off of Noctis and return to my side. I helped him back to his feet and straightened his disheveled hair.

"You know you love them," I smirk. Noctis grins back at me and pecks me on the cheek. "I do, but not as much as I love you, (Y/n)." I scoff and his words, lightly smacking him on the chest. "Don't say that ever again. My heart can't handle cheesy romance lines." Noctis' grin grew even wider. "I know you love cheesy romance." I place my hands on his chest and lightly push him away with a roll of my eyes.

Camp was all setup and I sat in one of the chairs around the warm fire. Zin was an ice dragon and she preferred to sit away from the fire. Zen, on the other hand, was a fire dragon and he hopped onto my lap as if he was a puppy. "You're a bigger cuddler than your sister," I sigh and stroke his red scales. He growled in pleasure and snuggled closer to me. I looked over my shoulder to see Zin was with Ignis. She was always fascinated with the way he cooked.

Hearing the snap of a camera, I turned to see Prompto aiming his device at me. "That one's a keeper," he said with a smile. The others sat down around the fire and Zin laid behind my chair. Before long, Zen had fallen asleep in my lap. "(Y/n), the dragon whisperer," Gladio teases with a smirk. I roll my eyes with a faint smile at his nickname for me.

"How did you end up with these two?" Prompto asked.

"I haven't told you?" I puzzled. The four of them shook their heads.

"Well then, I guess it's story time," I said. The others sat back in their chairs and listened intently to every detail.

"A few years ago, I was traveling the Duscae region and saw a dragon who was severely injured. When I approached her, she didn't growl or try to hurt me in any way. Lifting her broken wing, I spotted two eggs. Before I could heal her wounds, she passed away. I took the eggs and, a few months later, they hatched. The moment they hatched, both Zin and Zen imprinted on me. They now believe I am their mother."

"A fascinating story indeed, (Y/n)," Ignis said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Does this mean you and Noct already have kids?" Prompto asked innocently. My eyes darted to Noctis and saw he was staring at me with slightly red cheeks. I laugh and smile at the blonde. "Yeah, I guess we do. They're a handful." My eyes were glued to Noctis and I watched him hide his face in his hands.

Ignis got out of his chair and went to finish dinner. Zin had woken up and she returned to watching the advisor cut up a few vegetables. I shook my head with a smile and Zen squirmed in his sleep. He flipped on his back and spreader his legs upwards. I snort from laughter and tickle his stomach. Zen cries out in joy, squirming under my hands.

"Uh, (Y/n)? I think Noct's jealous of him," Prompto said while smirking. I look back to Noctis to see he was definitely looking at Zen with envious eyes. "His Highness wants to be spoiled by you, too," Gladio chuckled. A smug look crosses my face, sending it towards the prince. "Aw, Noct, do you want your tummy rubbed?" I asked in a baby voice.

"N-no, I don't," he quickly denies, his cheeks turning even redder. Gladio, Prompto, and I burst out into laughter. Noctis looks away in embarrassment and rubs the back of his neck. Picking up Zen in my arms, I walk over and kiss his red cheeks. "I'll spoil you later," I whisper to him. "(Y-Y/n)..." Noctis stutters. I giggle and head over to Ignis. Gently placing Zen down, I help him pass out dinner. Before I sat back down, I fed Zin and Zen their portions. The two ate while wagging their tails in joy.

"Ugh, vegetables..." I hear Noctis groan. Since I was sitting close enough to him, I leaned over and pinched him on the cheek. "If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll stay the immature child you are."

Noctis sent me a small glare while the others laughed. "She has a point," Ignis said. Noctis then directed his glare to his advisor. Ignis was unfazed and continued to eat. As I finished eating my portion, I glanced over at Noctis to see he was feeding the vegetables to Zin. I sigh and let him give his food to the young ice dragon.

Everyone finished dinner and I offered to help Ignis with the dishes. "Much appreciated, (Y/n)," he said, taking me up on my offer. The two of us began cleaning while the others played "King's Knight" on their phones. Halfway through cleaning, I hear the sound of pans clanking together. Looking over the table, I spotted Zin and Zen licking the dirty pots clean. "Hey, you both had your share. It's time for bed." They stopped licking the pots and ran to the tent.

"I swear..." I mumble. Ignis smiles faintly as he cleans another plate. "Do not fret over such a trifling act," he states. "Yeah, you're right. They did help clean the pots, though," I said, picking up one of the pots to see no food residue at all.

We finish cleaning up and call it a night. Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto headed into the tent for the night. Noctis and I were the only ones awake at such a late hour. "I'm going to go to sleep. Goodnight, Noct--"

My words were cut-off by a warm pair of lips. I gasped from the sudden attack, which allowed Noctis to deepen the kiss. One hand rested on my neck while the other caressed my cheek. Keeping our lips locked, I placed my hands on his chest and enjoyed every second of the kiss.

Feeling myself beginning to grow weak from the passionate kiss, I had to break apart from him. I leaned against his body, in hopes I wouldn't fall to the hard ground below. Noctis noticed and wrapped his arms around my waist. "That's payback for giving Zen more attention than me," he whispers seductively in my ear.

"Noct, you realize you're jealous of a dragon, right?"

"Now you make it sound like I'm a desperate idiot."

"You are a desperate idiot," I start, kissing him on the cheek, "but you're my desperate idiot."

Noctis smiles and snuggles closer to me. I giggle and run a hand through his raven locks. "Let's call it a night. We've got some hunting to do in the morning." Noctis nods and we head into the tent.

-Next Morning-

We hop in the Regalia and began our hunt for the bandersnatch that has caused terror amongst the people of Taelpar Rest Area. Reaching the last known location of the monster, we hop out of the car. Zin and Zen hop on my shoulders as our trek through the woods began.

"Are you sure this is the place?" Prompto questioned. "Wouldn't be here if it wasn't," Gladio responds in a snarky manner. The sound of snapping trees caught my attention. I stopped everyone and listened closely. "Found it." Gladio was about to rush in, but I stopped him. "Actually... I want Zin and Zen to handle this. They've been itching for some action."

All eyes then fell on the dragons that sat upon my shoulders. Zin and Zen hop off and eagerly wait for my signal. I kneeled down and placed a hand on their heads. "Be careful. I don't want either of you getting hurt." They nod and take a few steps. Their bodies are enveloped in a bright light. Once the light disperses, two large dragons stood before us.

Roaring loudly, the two dragons dived into battle. All five of us watched from a safe distance as they handled the bandersnatch. "Didn't... know they could do that," Noctis comments.

"Well, they are full of surprises," Ignis states.

"Thank the Six they're on our side," Prompto adds.

"At this rate, the bandersnatch won't be a problem anymore," Gladio chimes in.

Right when Gladio said that, Zen tore off the bandersnatch's arms while Zin tore of its legs. The monster screeched in agony as blood poured from the torn-off appendages. Both dragons went in for the final kill and ripped through the throat and stomach. At the bloodied sight, Prompto leaned against a tree to support his swaying body. Gladio pats the blonde on the back to comfort him.

The bandersnatch ceases all movement after the deadly attacks from the dragons. Their bodies were covered in blood from the monster. Once they realized it was dead, they returned to their small forms and flew to my side. "Wow, you guys have gotten much stronger," I compliment them as they wag their tails. They jump for joy and circle around me with small growls of happiness.

"I don't feel so good..." Prompto slumps forward and covers his mouth.

"There's a haven nearby. Shall we call it a day?" Ignis asked, directing the question to me and Noctis. We both nod and head to the campsite. Finally arriving, we set up camp and Prompto immediately sits down to calm his queasy stomach. While Ignis tended to the poor blonde, I pulled on Noctis' sleeve. He turned and faced me with a confused look.

"Would you help me cleanup Zin and Zen? There's a lake nearby where we could give them a bath."

"Gladly. I don't wanna be here when Prom throws up."

We head to the lake with the two dragons in tow. Without warning, I stripped down to my bra and panties. Noctis instantly blushed and turned away. "W-what are you doing?" He asked meekly.

"We can't get into the lake with our clothes on. Hurry up and strip down. Don't make me come over there," I said with an evil smirk. Noctis scurried around and did as I said, but he decided to stay in his pants. "Alright, I'll deal with Zen. You give Zin a bath. She'll cooperate more easily than her brother." Noctis nods while still blushing. He couldn't even bring himself to look at me as he picked up Zin with ease. She didn't squirm in his arms while he entered the lake.

"Zen, come here," I said to the fire dragon. I enter the lake and wait for him. He stops at the edge and plops on his belly in protest. "I know you hate water, but we need to get that blood off of you. Now, hurry your hothead into this water before I drag you in."

Zen lets out a huff and he comes a little closer to the water. I open my arms and let him jump into them. He clung to me while I washed his beautiful ruby scales. His claws didn't break the skin, but they did cause red marks to appear on my chest. Once I had finished cleaning off all the blood, I placed Zen on his back and watched as he floated. He closed his eyes in bliss and used his tail to push himself around.

"Well, someone's not afraid of the water anymore," I laugh.

"Zin's clean," Noctis announces. I turn around and glance at him. When our eyes met, his cheeks turned red and his blue eyes darted away from my (e/c) ones. I giggle and approach him in the crystal-clear water. Sneaking up behind him, I wrap my arms around him and lean my head against his back. Noctis tensed from my touch but soon relaxed. He turned to face me and wrapped his arms around my small form.

Looking up, I see his blush was gone and he was beaming down at me. "We should do this more often," he said. As those words left his mouth, Zin and Zen floated by. Both of us laughed at their blissful expressions. "Yeah, we should," I agree.

"Just... don't bring the kids next time," he adds. I giggle and kiss him on the cheek.

"I'll have Iggy babysit them for us."
