~Roxy's POV~

(A/n: Here's a visual of Roxy's outfit provided by none other than Roxy herself!)

"Our target is a Griffon?" I ask.

"Yeah. It was spotted in Kelbass Grasslands," Noctis replies.

We reached our destination in less than ten minutes. Finding the Griffon wasn't difficult because it was already screeching at our presence.

"Whelp, I guess this'll be mostly up to Noct. He's the only one who can warp that high," Prompto said as he called upon his pistol.

"Prom... you realize you wield a pistol, correct?" I ask as I roll my eyes. Realization hit Prompto and he rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "My bad..." I sigh at his behavior and summon my Katana.

"Noct, aim for the wings. If you can injure at least one, the Griffon will be forced to land," I state, directing my attention to the prince. "Gotcha," he simply replied. Noctis warped to the Griffon and slashed at its wings. With precise hits, the monster is forced to land. I charge in with my Katana and began attacking swiftly. Prompto shot from a distance while I was joined by Gladio and Ignis.

Noctis kept the Griffon from flying off by continuing to strike its wings. With a combined attack, we finished off the monster.

"Alright!" Prompto cheers.

I was about to dismiss my blade, but the sound of an engine stopped me. I looked overhead to see a familiar ship. "I can't be," I gasp with wide eyes. A hatch opens and a man jumps out. He nimbly lands on his feet with a smirk.

"So, this is the famous Roxy English. I can't believe our dear Commander was slain by a little girl."

The grip on my blade tightens as I recognize the voice of Nero's right-hand man, Brax. His ruby eyes narrowed at me. "Roxy, who is he?" Noctis asked. I grit my teeth, deciding to keep him in the dark. With my Katana in hand, I slowly and carefully approached Brax.

"It seems I've missed a rat," I spat. Brax just smirks and waves off my insult.

"You, my dear, shall pay dearly for the slaughter of General Nero," he said, summoning his rapier.

"Roxy, stop!" Noctis yells.

"No, this must be done," I said in a low voice. Noctis was taken aback by my tone, giving Ignis the chance to pull him to safety. Brax cackles and swings his blade in my direction. "Well said, Miss English."

"Enough talk. You will die just like Nero." I aim my blade at him and dash forward. Brax grins and blocks my attack with ease. He pushes me away and I land on my feet. Before I could deliver another blow, Brax vanished. I frantically search around for him. I sensed him and looked up. I rolled out of the way just as his blade embedded in the ground where I was just standing.

Quickly recovering, I charged at him. Thinking I would strike from the front, Brax brought his blade up for protection. A smirk spreads across my face as I toss my Katana into the air. Distracted by the blade, I jump behind him and kick the bend of his knee. Brax grunts as he fell to one knee. My Katana landed in my hand as I snapped the man's foot under my boot.

The loud cracking noise made my companions flinch. Brax yelled out in pain as he began to sweat. With my Katana, I embedded it in his other leg, pinning him to the ground. His rapier fell from his grasp while his body slumped forward. I picked his blade up and rested it against his neck. "You know... I think it would be more amusing to stab you with your own blade."

"Your hands are just as bloody as mine, Roxy. If you slaughter me, you'll only be pouring more."

"I rather have the blood of bastards like you on my hands than innocent children's and families'. Nero murdered a whole village of innocent people. Your blood is just as tainted as his. At least when it is spilled on my hands, your blood will be purified. The evil reign you sought ends today, Brax."

"You think killing me... will end our reign?" He chuckled. I grit my teeth, slashing his cheek. "I know more rats linger under your control, but once they lose you, they'll scurry away to find another leader. A perfect chance to rid Eos of your sins as they desperately search for guidance."

Brax fell silent at my words. "Nero was right. You are a bright girl. Too bad you're on the wrong side."

"If someone's on the wrong side, it's you," I scoff. "Now... I would ask for final words, but I don't give last minute wishes to bastards like you."

"You are--"

I sunk the blade into his neck. Brax's eyes widened as blood spilled from his throat. I pull the rapier out of his neck, allowing him to fall to the cold ground below. His hands traveled to the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. I watch as he gurgles and his whole body stops moving. I dismiss my Katana and turn my back to the dead Brax.

I looked down at the ground as all four of them looked at me. I felt as if they were all judging me for my sudden behavior. "Maybe... it's best if I leave," I manage to say.

"N-no, you don't--"

"I should, Prom," I state, cutting him off.

"Noct told us about your past while you were fighting, Roxy," Gladio said. I glanced up to see none of them were mad or terrified. I couldn't hold my shock back as it found its way to my face.

"You... aren't scared or mad at me?"

"There's no need for such a thing," Ignis said.

"Specs is right. You did what you did in order to survive. Even though you killed a lot of men, they were all seeking bloodlust. Roxy, you rid Eos of men who did unforgivable things. We should be thanking you," Noctis said with a gentle smile.

"Yeah, and you were super badass!" Prompto chants. I smile and thank them. Noctis came and stood in front of me. He bent down and gave me a quick kiss on the lips.

"I'm gonna need more than that, Noct," I grin at him. He chuckled and ruffled my hair.

"I know."
