~(Y/n)'s POV~

We called it a day and made camp at Merrioth Haven. The sun was setting when Ignis began to cook dinner. Gladio had grabbed and dragged me a little ways from camp to train before the sun set completely.

"So, if I kick your ass, do I get a reward?" I ask. Gladio chuckled and ruffled my (h/c) hair.

"You've got to win first, sweetheart."

I push his hand off my head, preparing myself for the brawl. Gladio summoned his blade while I called upon my dual swords. "Ready when you are, big guy!" I shout with a smirk. Gladio scoffs as our battle begins.

Not long into the battle had I been able to get Gladio on the defensive. I pushed him back with each successful blow. He gritted his teeth as I continued to keep him on his guard. With one final strike, Gladio fell to the ground. I rest a blade against his neck as I smile victoriously.

"I swear, you're not human," he grumbles.

"Aw, but you know you love me," I wink at him with a grin. I dispel my blades and help him to his feet. When I tried to let go of his hand, Gladio's grip tightened. I tilt my head in confusion. "Gladio?" He smirks and pulls my body flush against his.

"Hey! You're sweaty!" I shout, trying to push myself away. This earned a deep chuckle from him as I squirmed in his arms. "You need it. I don't see any sweat on you." He held me tighter and I began to groan. Another chuckle escaped his throat as he leaned down and kissed me on the forehead.

We head back to camp just as darkness consumes the once-lit sky. Ignis had handed us our dinner once we sat down. I thanked him with a smile as I took the dish from him. As Gladio and I were eating, we heard a loud thump. I looked over my shoulder to see Prompto had slid and landed on his behind. He whimpered in pain as he rubbed the sore spot. I snort from laughing too hard at the sight. Noctis went over and checked on the blonde.

"That's gonna hurt in the morning..." Prompto grumbles as he gets back to his feet.

"Watching the impact made my ass hurt, too," Noctis said with small laugh.

"Oh! Gladio, you owe me an award for winning today," I said. He shook his head in disbelief. "I was hoping you would've forgotten that."

"Trust me, I remember things from way before I met you," I cheekily respond. He sighs and finishes his dinner. I took my last bite and decided to clean the dishes for Ignis. "Thank you, (Y/n)," he said with a faint smile. I shook my head. "Don't worry about it, Iggy."

When sleep began to welcome us with open arms, we put the fire out and went to the tent. I laid down in my normal spot next to Gladio and fell asleep within seconds.

~3rd Person POV~

-Midnight-

The sudden sound of the tent being unzipped woke Gladio up. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw (Y/n) wasn't next to him. He wiped the sleep from his eyes and saw the girl walking out of the tent.

Without waking the others, Gladio left the tent to follow her. Once she began to wander out of camp, Gladio called out to her. "(Y/n)?"

No response.

"Hey, (Y/n)!"

He still received no word from her. Worried for her safety, Gladio grabbed the girl. When he did, her body slumped forward and her knees buckled. His eyes widened in shock as he wrapped his arms around her. Carrying her body back to camp in his arms, he realized she was still asleep. Her chest raised slowly with each breath.

"Dude, we were so worried!" Prompto shouts when Gladio arrived back at camp. All the others were up, giving him and (Y/n) worried looks.

"What happened?" Ignis asked. Gladio glanced down at the small girl in his arms. "Not sure. (Y/n) just got up and began to wander out of camp," he replies.

"Could she have been sleepwalking?" Noctis puzzled. All eyes fell on the girl at Noctis' question. Ignis went over and checked on her. "It's highly possible. By her current state, she is still asleep," Ignis proclaims. Prompto tore his eyes from (Y/n) and glanced at Gladio. "Is this the first time she's done this?"

Gladio nods in response. "We can ask (Y/n) in the morning. She might have an answer to why she did sleepwalk," Noctis said and headed back into the tent. Everyone was in agreement and went back to sleep.

-Next Morning-

Gladio woke up and saw (Y/n) was, once again, gone. "Dammit!" He flew out of the tent in search of the girl. When he heard light humming, he turned to see (Y/n) petting her Chocobo. Gladio sighed in relief and had to lean his body onto the table for support.

"Good morning~" (Y/n) sang as she skipped over to him. Her soft lips collided with his cheek in a gentle kiss. Without holding back, Gladio grabbed and captured her in his arms. He crashed his lips onto hers and gave her a passionate kiss. (Y/n) eventually melted into the kiss, her eyes slowly closing.

To avoid be teased, Gladio reluctantly let go of her before the others came out of the tent. "Well, that was a nice surprise," she smiled.

"Do you sleepwalk?" His sudden question caught her by surprise. She titled her head a little, confusion written all over her face. "Um, I did when I was little. Did... did I sleepwalk last night?"

"Yeah, right out of camp."

"Well, at least I didn't break an arm like when I first did," she states.

"Hold on-- you broke your arm when you first did? How?"

"I... uh, fell down a flight of stairs and landed on my arm," she admits with an embarrassed face. Gladio messes up her (h/c) hair with his large hand. A smile grew on his face as he bent down to her height. "Another reason to keep a close eye on you."

"Hey, it only happened last night! It might not happen again," (Y/n) said, crossing her arms with a pout. He scoffed and pulled on her cheek. "Don't act all adorable in the morning. I'm holding myself back right now."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll make sure to act like an asshole today so you'll turn the other cheek." (Y/n) stuck her tongue out at him. Gladio let go of her cheek and kissed where he had pulled. "You're just giving me reasons to love you even more." She smiles and stole a kiss from him.
