130) Ignis

~(Y/n)'s POV~

While waiting for the group in Galdin Quay, I heard news about the Empire striking the beautiful city. I tuned in closely and heard the screams of the people from the radio. My heart began to ache at the thought of losing any of the guys.

"I should've gone with them." I slam my fist onto the table top. A day flew by after the news of Altissia reached Galdin Quay and I still hadn't received a call or text from any of them. I paced along the beach like a caged animal. Thousands of thoughts crossed my mind and none of them were positive. It began to rain, but I remained on the beach. People ran pass me to seek shelter from the cold droplets of water falling from the sky.

"I feel as if the sky is reflecting my heart." Staring at the water's surface, I sighed sadly. My phone sudden rang and saw it was a message from Noctis.

We're almost to Galdin Quay

The text was short, but it did get the message across. After I read the text, I saw a boat pull into the docks. I ran to the docking area and saw the four of them get off. The first one I ran to was Ignis. My whole body went into shock as I saw the wound on his face. "I-Ignis..." I mutter his name. He didn't even give me his usually smile. My heart shattered at the sight. When I placed my hands on his cheeks, he closed his eyes in bliss at my touch.

"What happened?" I ask, looking at all of them. Gladio filled me in and I thanked him. After awhile, Ignis placed his hands over mine. "Forgive me,
(Y/n)." The story he told me brought tears to my eyes. Even though I wasn't able to see the others, I could tell they felt guilty. "You're losing your eyesight, aren't you?" I ask, trying to keep my tears from falling. He slowly nods, confirming my fear. My whole body began to shake as I tried to hold myself together. Ignis must've sensed this because he wrapped his fingers around my hands that still rested upon his cheeks.

"My dear, please..." He begged softly. "Do not cry."

"You all must be tired. I... should leave you to rest," I reluctantly said and freed my hands from Ignis' grasp. "(Y/n)," he called my name, reaching out for me. I dodge his hands and ran down the dock. I felt their eyes bore into my back as I ran. Tears flowed from my eyes with no sign of stopping. My feet carried me all the way to the beach. The view was beautiful, but my heart is in too much turmoil to even take it in.

To clear my head, I pulled out my spell book. Flipping page after page, I didn't mind to read a single word. The thoughts that traveled through my mind were all of Ignis. When more tears fell from my eyes, I hid my face in the book. I flipped one more page and caught a glimpse of a spell. Even though my vision was obscured by tears, I could only see one word clearly-- heal.

I've read this book over, but this is the first time I've seen this spell. I guess I must've skipped the page without knowing. The properties of the spell caught my eye. This type of spell was powerful. It could heal internal and external wounds. No matter how old the injury is, the spell would work.

The incantation was a little difficult to read. Before I tried it on anyone, I decided to try it on myself. A small pink shell sat partially under the sand next to me. I picked the small shell up and broke off an edge. The shell was now sharp enough to cut human skin. I dragged the sharp edge across the palm of my hand. I winced in pain as the shell broke my skin with ease. Dropping the shell, I examine the wound.

"This'll do." The incantation was long, but after I completed it, a blue glow surrounded my wound. After the light dissipated, the cut was gone. A gasp escaped my lips at the sight. I flew to my feet and ran to their room. I stopped right before their door and calmed myself. The spell book was hugged against my chest as I tried to calm myself. "Deep breaths..." I knocked and Prompto answered the door. "Hey, (Y/n)," he greets with a dull smile. The aching feeling in my chest returned when I saw such an expression.

"I... I have a way to heal Ignis." I said, skipping right to the point. Prompto's mouth fell agape along with his eyes widening. He stepped aside and let me enter. The sight of Ignis on the bed with his head in his hands made my resolve even stronger. His body language gave away his miserable facade. I knew deeper down that he felt more than just miserable.

Noctis, Prompto, and Gladio gathered around and watched me closely. I walked over to the advisor and stood in front of him, gently sitting down my spell book next to him. This action made him look at the object next to him. While my book grabbed his attention, I placed my hands on his face. Ignis was taken aback by my touch. A small shudder went through his body as I caressed his face. A smile gradually spread across my face.

"(Y/n)," his smooth and captivating voice called my name gently. "The one and only," I giggle. I slowly began tracing over the wound. Ignis didn't tense at my actions. He relaxed and melted into my touch. "I know how to heal you, Ignis," I whisper to him. It seems he was not absorbing my words because he denied them in a heartbeat. "It's impossible."

"I guess this will be the first time you will be proven wrong, Iggy." I began the incantation and trace the outline of the wound. Since his wound requires more magic to heal, I placed a rune under us to draw strong currents of magic. A small gust of wind blew around me as the incantation continued. The blue light consumed us in its brilliant rays.

As I softly whispered the final word of the incantation, the blue light vanished. The rune I had casted disappeared as well. "The wound--" Noctis started. "--Is gone!" Prompto shouts when they see Ignis. My (e/c) eyes met with Ignis' sparkling green ones. Once I saw that he could see me, I smiled and kissed his soft lips. When our lips met, he immediately kissed back. My eyes fluttered closed at the ravishing kiss.

Neither one of us cared that the others were watching. Our own little moment in our own little world. A moment I will never forget as long as I live. The kiss made my whole body grow hot as Ignis' deepened it. When I slowly opened my eyes, I noticed the others were gone. I began to giggle at the look on their faces. Ignis felt my grin against his lips and pulled away.

He questioned why I was grinning, which made it widen. "Just imagining the looks on their faces right now," I giggle. Noctis and Prompto are practically innocent so they would be blushing like crazy. Gladio would've just left with an awkward smile on his face. I could tell he was holding his laughter back as usual. I peck him on the cheek and help him to his feet.

"Now that you have your eyesight back, let's go to the beach. The moon will be a breathtaking sight."

"The only breathtaking sight I need is you, (Y/n)."
