~3rd Person POV~
While looking for Noctis and the others, Ignis found himself in a strange world. The town was bathed in the sunset and a gentle breeze blew through the streets. Wandering through the town, he saw there was no one on the streets. What caught the advisor's attention was a melody.

(A/n: I really love this song❤️)
The voice was soothing and beautiful. Never had he heard such a voice. He listened closely and followed the melodic singing. It led him to the highest point in town, the Clock Tower. The singing gradually became louder. Once the Tower came into view, he spotted a girl on the steps. Ignis stopped in his tracks, listening to her sing. He felt it would be rude to interrupt her, but he also wanted to hear the whole song.
Her singing made his heart melt. The warm feeling he felt when the words traveled through his ears etched a smile on his face. As the song continued, Ignis closes his eyes in sheer bliss. His body leaned against a building to support him. A smile graced the young girl's lips as she sang.
After what felt like only mere seconds, the song came to an end. Ignis' eyes slowly flutter open when the song stopped. "Um, are you alright?" The sudden question made the advisor glance to the side. The girl who was singing stood next to him wearing a worried expression. Her soft, gentle voice made his smile grow.
"Yes, I'm alright," he told the girl. Her worried look soon turned into a brilliant smile. "That's good. You must not be from around here," she points out. Ignis was shocked that she could tell from just seeing him. His attire wasn't all that strange. "You're very keen. I know a few people who could learn to be as keen as yourself. I am indeed not from here," he replies. The image of Noctis and Prompto flew through his mind. Those two could use more observation skills.
"If you'd like, I could show you around. Twilight Town isn't very big, but it does have a few amazing places to visit," she offers. Even though Ignis already walked around town, he gladly accepted the girl's offer. It would be better to follow someone who does know Twilight Town.
"Oh! I'm (Y/n). It's nice to meet you," she cheerfully chirps. Ignis gave the girl a small bow. "A pleasure, (Y/n). You may call me Ignis." She giggles and places a hand over her heart. "Ready to start the tour?" Ignis nods and follows her around town. She took him to the market and the sandlot. There was still nobody around even when (Y/n) guided him through town. They walked through a small hole in a wall. It led to a somewhat dark forest. The tree canopy let very little light pass through.
"And this is the last stop on our tour," (Y/n) said as they emerge from the forest. A mansion caught Ignis' attention. His eyes grow wide, completely taken by surprise. He couldn't believe he missed such a thing on his own. A heavy chain held the gates closed, preventing anyone from entering the building. They stood before the gates and looked at the mansion.
"People claim it's haunted. In my opinion, I think they're just a bunch of crazies." (Y/n) moved her finger in a circle near her head as she said "crazies". Ignis was intrigued by the mansion. His eyes traveled to each window and watched the pure white curtains flutter. When (Y/n) suddenly went silent, he turned to see that the (h/c) haired girl was gone. Worry began to consume him as he frantically looked around for her.
"(Y/n)?" Her name slipped off his tongue with ease. He ran back into the forest and began searching. He ran all over town but couldn't find her anywhere. He checked the plaza again, but she wasn't there. Ignis suddenly heard a deep chuckle. The advisor spun on his heels and saw a man in a black hood. The man was heading through the market. When Ignis followed the man, he lost sight of him in the sandlot.
The sound of heavy breathing caught his attention. Before he could react, (Y/n) ran right into him. Ignis quickly caught her before she fell. "Are you-" Ignis didn't finish his sentence. When he placed his hands on her shoulders, he felt her whole body shaking. Ignis looked down and searched her (e/c) eyes. Fear infused her beautiful eyes. The man in the black hood stood not far from them. Ignis immediately pulled (Y/n) close to keep her out of the man's reach.
She wrapped her arms around his torso and buried her face in his chest. As Ignis kept one arm around the frightened girl, he summoned one of his daggers. "Give me the girl," the man demands. One of his hands extended towards them slowly. Ignis tightened his hold on (Y/n). "Never," he growls in a low voice. The man clicks his tongue in annoyance at the advisor. Whatever this man wanted with her, Ignis would not allow.
He refused to let go of (Y/n) as the man crept forward. With each step he took away from him, Ignis made sure to keep a hold on the girl. The man suddenly stopped approaching them. "You'll be gone soon enough." That's all he said before he vanished. He quells the anger inside him and dispels his dagger. "(Y/n)," he called her name worriedly. When he did, Ignis felt her body slump backwards. He acted fast and supported her body.
"H-he took me somewhere b-before. The place w-was dark and horrifying." Though her face was buried in his chest, he could hear every word clearly. He shushed the girl and comforted her with sweet nothings. "If you'll allow, I'd love to have you join me. You're keen sense could help my search drastically."
(Y/n) kept her arms around him as she looked up into his green eyes with her breathtaking (e/c) ones. "R-really?" She asked softly. Ignis nods and runs a hand through her soft, (h/c) hair. The scent of mint and strawberry greeted his nose when he did. She giggled and thanked him profusely. Ignis was more than happy to hear her response. With help from a spell that Noctis gave him, Ignis was able to travel from world to world without any hassle.
-A Week Later-
The two fatigued travelers sat down for a short break. It's been a week since (Y/n) had joined Ignis' search for the prince. Countless of worlds were marked off his list, leaving few left to search.
Since they've been together, the two have grown significantly close. (Y/n) knew how to make Ignis laugh which was strange. No one, not even Prompto, could make him laugh so easily. He's known Noctis much longer, but he felt as if he was closer to her than anyone else. Ignis would always find himself watching (Y/n)'s movements closely. She was a little clumsy, but that made her adorable in his eyes.
The innocent look in her eyes also made her beautiful to watch. Not to mention, when she laughs, Ignis always found himself smiling. Her laughter was a soothing and gentle ring to his ears. She's also offered to sing to him, which he gladly accepted. (Y/n)'s also picked up on the nickname that only a few people call him by. Hearing it from her made his heart skip a beat.
"So, what world is next?" She asked the advisor.
"Hollow Bastion. Our search has not arisen to success yet."
"Don't worry, Iggy. We'll find Noctis and the others."
(Y/n) gave him her alluring smile to reassure him. "I appreciate your assistance, (Y/n)." She giggled and hopped to her feet. They found themselves in Hollow Bastion only a few minutes after their conversation. When she saw her surroundings,
(Y/n)'s eyes lit up with a spark. "Wow," she mumbles in amazement. Afraid she'll wander, Ignis took her small hand in his larger one. (Y/n) gazed down at their connected hands, shock filling her eyes.
"Do not wander, (Y/n). The last time you did, it caught unwanted attention." She looked down in shame. When Ignis saw her expression, it broke his heart. He tightened his hold on her hand, signaling her to not be ashamed. "I do not condemn that man's actions on you."
(Y/n) realized who he was talking about. "About that..." She mumbles. Her story about the man began. No detail was left out as she told Ignis who was under the hood. "A man named Xemnas. He would chase me around Twilight Town for hours. I'd always find a place to hide when I could. He's... he's the leader of an organization."
Without looking at her, Ignis could feel her uneasiness. He stopped walking, making (Y/n) halt as well. He moved in front of her and stooped to her level so he could meet her eyes. "I will not sanction his desires to have you." Without warning, (Y/n) threw her arms around the advisor. He was surprised by her actions but hugged her in return. Ignis cradled her head against his chest, afraid that she would disappear at any given moment.
"Ignis!" Someone shouts his name loudly. When he heard the voice, a name rolled right off his tongue. As he turned to see the prince, Ignis still held
(Y/n). Prompto was the first to notice the girl clinging onto Ignis. "Now way... Iggy, did you hit on a girl while we were gone?!" He shouts in complete shock. "Huh, didn't know you had it in ya," Gladio comments. Ignis sent a glare to the trio to silence them.
"She's a cutie!" Prompto said with a goofy smile and tried to approach the girl. (Y/n) shrunk when the blonde began to close in. A small whimper escapes her, making the blonde stop. "What's wrong?" Noctis asked.
"A man's pursuing her. We don't know why," Ignis responds. Gladio grabbed Prompto, pulling him away from Ignis and the girl. "What's her name?" Gladio questions.
"(Y/n)," he replies. Prompto smiled, trying to ease the young girl. "A pretty name for a pretty girl!"
(Y/n) began to relax and freed herself from Ignis' hold. Her scared expression was superseded with a smile. She pointed to each and correctly named them. "Wow." Noctis was impressed that she knew their names and could point them out. "Iggy's told me a lot about you," she said while giggling.
"Enough to point us out?" Prompto asked. (Y/n) nods and told them a little about herself. "Where'd you find her?" Gladio looked towards Ignis. "A place called Twilight Town. The streets were desolate when I arrived." His eyes never left (Y/n) as she laughed with Noctis and Prompto. Gladio began to smirk at the royal advisor.
"You like her," he simply said. Ignis was not embarrassed to admit the fact that he was attracted to the young girl. He also couldn't deny that his heart and mind would race just at her presence. "Tell her." The brute's words caught him off-guard.
"I will not push my feelings onto a young lady," Ignis replied sharply. "Hey, she might like you back. Never know until you tell her." Gladio crossed his arms and glanced at the cheery (Y/n). The man's words shook Ignis' resolve to tell her. With a sigh, he finally made his decision. "Give us space." Gladio nods, dragging Noctis and Prompto away.
"Let us rest, (Y/n)." She nods and follows him to an overlook of the castle. On the way, (Y/n) had picked a beautiful pink flower. The sweet smell of nectar filled the air around them as she carried the flower with her. Ignis smiled as he watched (Y/n) sniff the flower. "Oh, this ones really sweet," she comments. "Like you, Iggy."
His eyes shot wide open. Her kind and delicate form kept walking while he stayed glued to the spot. Those words crept through his mind, making his resolve to tell her his feelings even stronger. Before he could speak, a scream from (Y/n) made him snap back to reality. Ignis ran as fast as he could to find the girl. When he did, the man in the hood was pulling her towards a portal.
"Let me go!" (Y/n) tries to yank her wrist free from the man's grip. She winced in pain as he tightened his hold on her. In a heartbeat, Ignis summoned a dagger and threw it at him. He let go of (Y/n) in order to dodge the dagger. While he was distracted, Ignis grabbed (Y/n) and pulled her to safety. He stood in front of her protectively to keep the man from touching her.
"It seems you're more of a burden than I thought." The man removes his hood, revealing his silver hair and amber eyes. A grin was carved into his lips. Ignis felt (Y/n) cling to the back of his jacket. As he remembered what she said, Ignis knew the man's name.
Xemnas stood there, watching the two of them. His grin never left his face as he stepped back into the portal. "She'll be mine soon enough," he said and vanished into the darkness. Once they were finally alone, Ignis turned to face (Y/n). "Thank you, Iggy." Her meek voice sent a shiver through his body. He bent to her level and took her face in his hands. Tears were gleaming in the corner of her eyes. He wiped them away as he sealed her lips with his.
Ignis watched as (Y/n)'s eyes slowly closed. Their lips molded perfectly together. Sparks flew through their bodies as the kiss went on. He made sure to be gentle with her because of the incident with Xemnas. Once he had kissed her, (Y/n)'s body stopped shaking. Ignis was glad to see she was relaxed by his sudden affection. They pulled away from each other to catch their breath.
"I was going to say this earlier; you're very sweet, Iggy. You're the first person who's treated me with such kindness. I left my home when everyone started to treat me like garbage. Twilight Town was the only place I could go to escape. Ever since, I've been alone, until you came along. And... I'm really glad you did. I was so lonely."
"No longer, (Y/n)." He kissed her on the forehead. She smiled through her tears and hugged him. The streams of tears that fell from her eyes soaked his shirt, but Ignis didn't care one bit. "I love you." She sniffles and hugs him tighter. He rests his head on top of hers with a warm smile on his face. "As do I, (Y/n)."
