110) Prompto

~3rd Person POV~

The group was currently at Hammerhead. Repairs for the Regalia would take a while, so they decided to wait. Hours pass and the car is finally ready to go. As they all were about to leave, Cindy stopped them. "Have y'all seen a girl with (h/c) hair and
(e/c) eyes? She's also wearing a blue butterfly necklace."

Noctis and Prompto were the first to react. "Blue butterfly necklace? Didn't you give a girl in our class one?" Noctis asked his best friend. Prompto nodded with wide eyes. "Do you have a picture of her?" Prompto directed towards Cindy. She nodded and handed him a picture. The blonde almost dropped the picture once he saw who it was. Gladio took the picture from him to see what the girl looked like.

"Know her?" Gladio showed the picture to the prince. Noctis inhaled sharply once he saw the familiar girl. "It seems you both know the young lady," Ignis said as he glanced between them. They both nodded in unison with wide eyes. "It's (Y/n). She was in our class in high school," Prompto managed to say. "Cindy, has (Y/n) gone missing?" Noctis asked. She nodded with a sad expression.

"Yeah. She's a close friend of mine, too. We met when she brought her car in. After that, we became close friends. Could y'all look for her? She's been gone for a whole month. I'm worried something might've happened to her."

"A whole month?!" Prompto shouts in disbelief. "We'll bring her back," Noctis declares. Cindy smiles and thanks everyone. As she disappeared in the garage, Gladio glanced at Prompto. "So, you gave her a necklace?" A smirk was prominent on the bodyguard's face. Prompto's cheeks then turned red. "W-what's wrong with giving the girl you like a necklace?"

"Prom had a crush on her in high school. He gave her the necklace for her birthday," Noctis said while smirking. Prompto just sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I was going to tell her after graduation, but she suddenly vanished before I could. I guess she did leave Insomnia."

They all got into the Regalia after they finished teasing Prompto. "Where should we start looking?" Ignis asked. "Prom knew her best. Ask him," Noctis points out. The blonde sent a small glare to the prince from the front seat. "She loved flowers. Is there a place we know of where rare flowers grow?"

Ignis nods and starts the car. A couple of hours pass and they reach the region of Duscae. Everyone gets out of the car when Ignis pulls off the road. "I guess we're climbing," Gladio said as he stared at the cliff before him. "Why would (Y/n) be here?" Noctis asked his advisor.

"Prompto said she likes rare flowers. This is the only place I can think of that you can retrieve such an item."

"Yeah, but how would she get up there?" Prompto asked. "There's another route, but it would take us another hour to reach it. We can all handle some climbing," Ignis answered. They all groaned and began to scale the cliff.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

"This place has a really beautiful view." I sank to my knees and examined the flowers near me. I was trying to find a rare Iradiosa flower. A man from Galdin Quay told me I could only find it on a cliffside in the Duscae region.

When I was able to find the beautiful blue flower, I suddenly heard voices not too far from where I was. I got to my feet to see who it was. "Prom, you're almost there!" One voice shouts. Prom? The name sounds familiar. I watch from afar as three men pulled someone with blonde hair to solid ground. My eyes narrowed as I tried to remember who this was. I've seen him before.

I searched my memories until I was able to find his face. When I did, I shouted his name. "Prompto!" Everyone's attention was turned to me. Prompto's eyes widened as I smiled at him. "Whelp, we've found her," the one with tattoos said with a grin. Prompto was still on the ground as I approached him.

His eyes never left my form as I kneeled in front of him. "Wow, it's been awhile," I said with a giggle. When I looked closer at his face, Prompto looked like he was about to bursts into tears. He pushed himself off the ground and wrapped his arms around my body. I cried out in shock as we went tumbling to the ground. His arms crushed me in a deadly hug.

"Prom, you're killing her," someone said and pulled the blonde off of me. I inhaled quickly to get air back to my lungs. A man with glasses helped me to my feet. "Thank you," I said softly. When I looked at the person who pulled Prompto off of me, I noticed it was Noctis. "It's nice to see you both again."

Noctis and Prompto smiled sweetly at me. "We heard from Cindy that you were missing. She asked us to look for you," Noctis replied. I sigh and place my hands on my hips. "She worries too much. I've been traveling around Eos to search for rare flowers. This was my next stop."

"So, you weren't kidnapped?" Prompto asked. I shook my head with a giggle. "No, I'm perfectly fine." He sighed in relief at my words. Since they were here, I decided to tell them about why I left graduation so early. They both understood, but I felt like Prompto was holding something in.

"Prom, I've known you for years. What's bothering you?" My question has caught him off-guard. He fiddled with his fingers as he stuttered nonsense. "Guys, could we get a moment?" He asked his friends. They nodded with grins and left.

He was silent until his eyes caught the sight of my necklace. "You still wear it?" His tone was full of shock. I took his hand and held it with both of mine. "Of course, silly. I've worn it ever since you gave it to me for my birthday. The only time it comes off is when I go to sleep. Besides that, it's always with me."

A warm smile found its way to his lips. "I wanted to say this after graduation, but you were gone. So..." His voice trailed off and I started to get worried. I squeezed his hand tightly to signal him I would be here to listen to him. He swallows hard and moves his free hand to my cheek. Without warning, his soft lips sealed mine.

I gasped in shock. Prompto took that chance to deepen the kiss. After my shock went away, I kissed him back without holding back. We broke apart because we could barely breathe. "So, you've been holding that in since graduation?" I ask, smirking at him.

"... Yes..." He meekly mumbles. I let go of his hand and grab his collar. I pull him into another long, passionate kiss. Now it was his turn to be in shock. I let go of him and he stumbles back a little. I place a hand over my mouth to keep myself from laughing too loud. He seemed dizzy after the kiss. I guess I went a little too far.

He steadied himself against a nearby rock. My hand traveled to the necklace he gave me. That's when I remember the gift I was going to give him for graduation. I pulled out the Chocobo keychain I had found the day before I left.

"Hey, Prom? I meant to give this to you before I left. I hope you don't mind that it's two years late." By his expression, I could tell I grabbed his attention. Gently showing him the keychain, I placed it in his hand. "I'm not sure if you still like Chocobos, but I saw this and thought of you."

"(Y/n), I love it!" He gladly accepted the keychain and hugged me tightly. I wrapped my arms around his neck to hug him back. He looked like a kid who had just gotten their favorite toy. "I love you, Prom," I whisper sweetly to him. His smile grew even bigger.

"I love you, too, (Y/n)."
