~(Y/n)'s POV~

As we waited to catch a boat to Altissia, Prompto was running around Galdin Quay, snapping picture after picture. "How many pictures can that camera hold?" I ask out of curiosity. Prompto shrugs, continuing to take pictures.

"He better not get too caught up. If he does, he'll miss the boat," Gladio states. "As long as he's having fun, I don't care how many pictures he takes," I said as I watched Prompto closely. Gladio smirked and nudged me with his elbow gently. "You'd probably change your mind if you weren't his girlfriend."

"And I'm sure you would change that statement if you had a girlfriend," I fire back. "Touché," he chuckled. I sat on a nearby railing and crossed my legs. My eyes traveled to the beautiful ocean not far from us. A clicking noise made me turn back around. Prompto was kneeling on one knee, taking a picture of me.

"I'm totally keeping that one," he said as he smiled at me. I shook my head with a smile. "The boat's here," Noctis informs us. We all got on and the boat took off. I leaned on the railing as Prompto took even more pictures. He snapped his body in my direction and didn't hesitate to take a picture of me again.

"Prom, exactly how many pictures are there of me on that thing?" He then begins to count mentally. "Um, not sure. I think most of them are you." My eyes widen in shock. "Have you been taking them while I haven't been looking?" Prompto nods sheepishly. He stood next to me and showed some of the pictures he had taken. He was right. Most of them were of me.

Someone suddenly bumped into Prompto, causing him to drop his camera. The device makes a small splash as it hits the water's surface. "No! Those had all my favorite pictures!" He whines. Prompto slumped his shoulders in defeat. "Isn't the camera waterproof?" I ask. He nods with a frown. It broke my heart to see him like this. I pushed my body over the railing and jumped into the water below.
"(Y/n)!" I hear Prompto shout before I dive into the cold water.

I swam with all I had to catch the camera before it fell into the darkness of the ocean. Fish swam pass me as I reached for the camera. When I was able to grab the device, a fish knocked it with its fin. If I could kill a fish with my glare, I would. Swimming further down, I wrapped both hands around it. My lungs were starting to burn as I swam to the surface.

I didn't realize how far I had swam down until I broke through the surface of the water. I gasped and began to cough violently. "(Y/n)! What were you thinking?!" Prompto shouts as he spots me. The others were with him. Apparently, the boat stopped when Prompto said I had jumped off. I held the camera close to me as Gladio pulled me out of the bone-chilling water.

Once I was back onboard, I showed Prompto the camera. "I hope you're not too mad," I said as I hand him the camera. Prompto took it, gazing down at it in his hands. He then looked back at me. "I'm not mad. I was just really scared when you jumped into the water all of a sudden." A sigh of relief leaves my lips. I rubbed my arms to try and get warm.

Prompto reached over and laid a hand on my arm. "You're freezing!" He immediately pulled my body close to his. "Do you feel alright?" Ignis asked out of concern. "Just cold. That's all." Prompto's warmth made my whole body warm within minutes. The boat finally began to move again. Prompto didn't let go until we had to get off the boat.

Once in Altissia, Prompto let me go but held my hand with his warm one. Noctis, Ignis, and Gladio were walking in front of us. Prompto took the chance and dragged me away from the others. He took us to a quiet and peaceful place. He checked all around to make sure we were alone. "Prom, what's with you?"

"I know if I did this in front of the guys, they wouldn't let me hear the end of it, especially Gladio." He held his camera in one hand. Small water droplets fell from the camera. "What are you-" I was silenced by Prompto's soft lips. I was surprised but kissed back. Our kiss was passionate and breathtaking.

Once we pulled away from each other, we were gasping for air. Heat rose to my cheeks as I leaned against the wall behind me. I covered my face in embarrassment. Prompto chuckled and pried my hands away from my face with his free one. "I-I can't even think straight right now," I murmur. Another chuckle escaped Prompto's lips as he leaned his forehead against mine.

"I've been holding myself back for awhile," he said with a cheeky grin. I couldn't help but laugh. "I could tell." Prompto sat the camera down and held my hands in both of his. "Can you promise me something?" I tilt my head to the the side in confusion. "Don't EVER jump off a boat again just to get the camera. I thought my heart would stop when I saw you jump overboard."

"Alright, no more jumping off of boats. That is one of the least craziest things I've done on this trip," I comment. Prompto began to pout like a child. "Yeah, and I'm sure it won't be the last crazy thing you'll do." I smiled and ran a hand through his blonde hair.

"You know me so well."
