~3rd Person POV (with Gladiolus)~

Gladio was sitting in the backseat of the Regalia with Prompto. Everyone was teasing him about liking Cindy. Their laughter continued for minutes until Gladio's phone started ringing. He read the collar ID and saw it was his sister, Iris. He immediately picked up and greeted her.

"You need to come to Lestallum quickly! It's (Y/n)!" Iris shouts through the phone. Gladio was about to drop his phone but he quickly gripped it tighter. Iris hung up without another word. "Glad, what's wrong?" Prompto asked. "We need to turn around and head to Lestallum!" Gladio shouts at Ignis. "What happened?" Noctis asked. "Something's happened to (Y/n)." Ignis immediately turned the Regalia around and sped off to Lestallum. Gladio was about to put his phone away until he saw his background. A smiling girl with (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes was wrapping her arms around a stuffed (favorite animal). He had gotten it for her birthday and she loved it.

"We'll be there in a couple of hours," Ignis said, making Gladio snap back to reality. Prompto leaned over and looked at the picture of (Y/n). "Dude, you're so lucky!" Prompto shouts. Gladio grins at the blonde and puts him in a headlock. "Don't even think about it, Prom." He struggles to get out of the headlock. Noctis grins at the two and began dozing off. Gladio let go of Prompto as his worry for (Y/n) grew.

-Lestallum-

Gladio jumps out of the Regalia and storms off to Iris' place. He left the others behind as he ran through Lestallum. He reached his destination and knocked. Iris opened the door and smiled at her brother. Her smile was replaced with a sad frown and pulled Gladio in the door. "Where's (Y/n)?" Gladio asked his sister. "She's in my room," Iris answered quickly. She left (Y/n) to Gladio and sat on the couch in silence. He went to Iris' room and listened through the door. Gladio could hear (Y/n) crying and he slowly opened the door. The room was dark and (Y/n) was sitting on the bed. She was hugging her knees and crying her eyes out.

"(Y/n)..." He quietly called her. She sniffles and turned towards him. Her broken features shattered his heart and he hugged her gently. She cried into his chest and he stroked her (h/c) hair. (Y/n)'s whole body was shaking and he held her tighter. He's never seen her so broken before. She's usually the one to cheer him up with her smile or that contagious laughter of hers. "T-they're gone..." She managed to say. Gladio was confused and asked who was gone. "Everything. Niflheim took away everything and everyone from me..." She sniffles.

"Not everyone is gone. You still have me and Iris. Don't forget that," he whispered to her. They both stayed like that for hours and fell asleep in each other's arms.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

-Next Morning-

I wiped away the sleep from my eyes and stretched. The first thing I noticed was Gladio wasn't by my side. "He must already be up." I stand up and change into a dress Iris bought me.

I comb my hair and let it hang freely today. When I opened the door, I smelt breakfast being made and I heard a loud voice. "I am so hungry~!" Prompto whines. I giggle and leave Iris' room. The first one to notice me was Noctis. "Good morning, (Y/n)," he greeted. "It's been awhile since I've seen you all together. It's like a big, happy family in here," I comment. Gladio stood up from his seat and walked over to me. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm better. I'd be lying if I said I was perfectly fine, but I know the consequences of war." He rests a hand on top of my head and I cover it with my own. "Oh no! I forgot milk!" I heard Iris shout. I broke away from Gladio and walked into the kitchen and saw her rummaging through the refrigerator. "I can run out and get some," I offer.

"Really? Thank you, (Y/n)!" She hugs me and I tell the guys where I'm going. Gladio joins me and we head out. "You know... I'm a big girl, right? I'm sure I can go get milk without someone holding my hand," I say. "Yeah, I know you can. I just wanted to be alone with you for awhile." I began blushing at his words and he started chuckling. I playfully push him and I walk faster. Gladio notices and matches my pace. I roll my eyes and huffed. I could see the grin plastered on his face. That's when I started to run.

"You can't get away that easily," he snickered. After I heard him say that, I was scooped up into his arms. "Hey, no fair!" I whine. "It's the safest place for you to be. And..."

"And what?"

"It lets me have you all to myself. Now no one can hit on you either."

"Why would someone hit on me?"

Gladio sighed. "You have no clue how beautiful you are, (Y/n)." My face began flaring up and I turned my head away from Gladio. "Oh, please. I'm sure plenty of girls have hit on you." Gladio laughed deeply and my face grew even hotter. "Hey, um... Could you put me down? People are staring..." People were looking at us left and right. I felt uncomfortable and Gladio sat me down gently. We made it to the store and bought milk for Iris. Our trek back to Iris' house began. At some point, we began playing I spy and Gladio sucked at it.

"That was a longer trip than I thought," I speak as we reach her front door. Gladio nods in agreement and rubs the back of his neck. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Too bad it wasn't longer," he groans.

"You know what? Why don't we take a trip to Altissia? Just the two of us. Think of it as a trip to catch up. We haven't seen each other in a few years."

"Can I think of it as something else?"

"Like what?"

"A honeymoon."

I was confused by his words and stared at him. Without another word, he slipped a ring on my finger and proposed to me. I gasped and threw my arms around him. "Is that a yes?" He asked. "Of course!" I reply happily. He spins me around and I give him a big kiss on the lips. I began laughing joyously in his arms. "Iris is going to love this news," I say. "She always scolded me for not asking you years ago. She really wants to be your sister," Gladio said. "Well, let's go break the news to her." I grab his hand and we enter the apartment.

We told everyone and they all cheered. Iris started calling me sister and Gladio called me sweetheart. We soon had our trip to Altissia and it was wonderful. I'm so happy to have Gladio in my life.
