230) Gladiolus
A/n: A request from CoffeeSipper. This is a small crossover with The Mortal Instruments/Shadowhunters. I've never seen the T.V. show, but I've read all the books. I'll explain everything so those who haven't heard of the series or seen/read it will be able to understand. I'm sorry if there are a lot of pictures in this one shot. Love you all!!!

~(Y/n)'s POV~
"Another one?" I groan as Ignis slams on brakes just before he crashed into an Iron Giant that blocked the road.
"Never a dull moment," Prompto sighs.
"You can say that again," Gladio huffs, exiting the car with me close behind.
"This is your specialty, (Y/n). Shouldn't this be fun?" Noctis asked as I pulled out my stele.
(A/n: A stele is what a Shadowhunter uses to carve runes on their skin and/or weapons.)
"It's a job, not a career, Noct," I respond.
"You're pretty damn good at it," Gladio comments.
"Well, I was trained by the best." I pull out my Seraph Blade and used my stele to carve the enkeli rune.
(A/n: Enkeli (Angelic) rune is used to infuse a weapon with Angelic powers.)
The boys summoned their weapons and we closed in on the towering daemon. Raising my blade, I dash forward and weave through its legs. Targeting the back of the monster's legs, I was able to deliver a powerful swipe and send the Iron Giant to his knees. With the enkeli rune, it was easy to dispose of daemons with angelic magic than using any other rune. Gladio and Noctis attacked from the front while Ignis and I dealt blows to the back. Prompto stood a safe distance away and fired round after round.
Suddenly, a Ronin joined the Iron Giant and swiped its katana at Prompto, forcing the blonde to back away. The blade nicked his side, causing him to fall to the ground with a yelp of pain. I ran over and quickly disposed of the daemon before tending to the boy.
"We'll keep the daemon off you, (Y/n). Just heal Prompto," Noctis said before warping.
I kneeled next to Prompto and saw neither of us had a potion. "J-Just use a rune," he whines.
"You known they burn, right?"
"Y-Yeah, but they work better than any potion ever will."
"Are you sure, Prom?" I ask, slowly pulling out my stele. He nods and I gently take his arm in my hand. The tip of my stele radiates with a blue glow as I pressed the light against his skin. The moment I began drawing the iratze rune, he bit his bottom lip and clutched onto my leather jacket for dear life.
After the rune was complete, Prompto's side was completely healed. The only evidence left was the tear in his shirt. "Thanks, (Y/n)," he smiled.
"You're welcome."
Noctis, Gladio, and Ignis finished off the Iron Giant and appeared at their side. "How're things over here?" Gladio asked.
"Feelin' much better," Prompto sighs.
I watched as the rune vanished from his skin and didn't even leave a mark. Gladio placed a hand on my shoulder and I snapped my head in his direction. "Let's stop at a motel."
"Yeah. I'm gonna need a soft bed after this adventurous night," I state.
We all got back in the Regalia and Ignis drove us to Old Lestallum. The advisor bought two rooms and handed me a key to one. "Thank you, Iggy."
"Do get some rest, (Y/n)." I nod and head to my room.
Inside, I unhook my stele from my belt and sat it down on the dresser. Then, I found myself in front of the full-body mirror and took off my leather jacket. I tossed it on the bed and stared at my form in the mirror, staring at the Marks of Raziel. Scars and marks from previous runes littered my body. I ran a hand over the clairvoyant rune that decorated my collarbone.
It was the most prominent and permanent rune on my body, making me feel slightly uncomfortable about my body.
Without warning, two arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me against a well-toned chest. A gentle kiss was placed on the side of my head and I saw it was Gladio. "Knew you'd be moping again."
I sigh and lean my head against his chest. "These scars and markings will always haunt me. My body is littered with them."
Gladio brought one of his hands up and traced a scar on my upper arm. "If you think you look horrible with 'em, you're wrong. All I see in front of me is the woman I fell in love with, regardless of the markings on her body. I think you look badass with all those markings."
I smiled and placed my hand over his. "Thanks, Gladio."
In a heartbeat, the shield had lifted my body and tossed me on the bed. Before I could react or say anything, his large form was hovering above my smaller one. His lips descended on the clairvoyant rune, kissing it gently before moving up my collarbone and towards my neck. A gasp escaped my lips as he placed a passionate kiss on a scar near the base of my jaw.
"H-Hey, I'm ticklish there!" I shout out as he lifts my tank top and kisses a scar on my stomach. Gladio grinned before moving his lips up and kissed me sweetly on the lips. I placed my hands on his cheeks and deepened the kiss.
After an intense kiss, Gladio pulled away and laid beside me, stroking my (h/c) locks and threading them through his fingers. The moment I had gotten comfortable was when I remembered I hadn't taken a shower. I bolted upwards and went to get off the bed, but a muscular arm stopped me. "Where are you goin'?"
"I need to take a shower, Gladio. I'm sweaty and gross. Only the Astrals know how many daemons we fought tonight just trying to reach civilization."
The arm around my waist disappeared and I got off the bed. As I was heading to the bathroom, I could feel Gladio's eyes on me and I also could tell he was grinning. "Need some company?"
My cheeks ignited with a deep red and I froze in place. I glance over my shoulder, cheeks blazing. "N-No!"
He chuckled as he sat up. "You never know when I might sneak a peek."
"Then I'll lock the door." I enter the bathroom and did exactly that. I heard his footsteps just on the other side of the door.
Gladio tried to open the door, but he groaned when he realized I actually did lock it. "Damn..."
"Told ya!"
