I decided that waiting around would do me no good and so I went to talk to Cid.

"Princess." He said as I walked into the shop.

"I hope I'm not bothering you." I said softly.

"Course not. I like the company. So what is it you want to know?" He asked as he looked over at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked with a frown.

"Bout your parents." He said softly.

I bit my lip and he sent me a smile.

"Your father use to do the same thing... he'd bite his lip when he has been caught in the act and is trying to make up an excuse.... now spill." He said softly.

"Why does he treat me so differently then Noct?" I asked softly.

"You already know the answer to that." He said as he looked over at me.

"Cause he wants me to go into the crystal instead of Noct." I said softly.

"He doesn't want it, but he knows that it's the only option that can save the Lucis bloodline." He said softly.

"What if I don't have the strength to do it? What if... I get to scared?" I asked softly.

"That's something only you can answer.... either way the world will be okay... its just if you want to see the world or if you want Noctis to." He said softly.

"Could they forgive me? If I did it.... if I gave my life to protect him." I said softly.

"At first I think Noct would hate you, but then he would understand... that you did it to protect them." He said softly.

I nodded my head and let out a sigh.

"You know your mother had the same fear when she learned she was carrying a girl." He said softly.

"What do you mean?"

"She knew the choice you would have to make... she thought she would be there to help you with it, but... in the end she wasn't strong enough." He said softly.

I nodded my head and stood up.

"Thanks for the talk.... and for the encouragement... it's good to talk to someone about this... well besides Somnus... he isn't much help." I said with a laugh.

"I'm sure he isn't. Selfish king."

"Selfish! How dare that man insult me! Take up for me this instant!" Somnus ordered.

"He is selfish." I said with a smirk.

"You little-"

"I've been called worse so be creative." I said cutting him off.

He grumbled something out and I shook my head.

"All honesty though he isn't that selfish. He might act it, but I know he has a heart somewhere inside him." I said softly.

Somnus looked at me shocked and I sent him a small smile. Cid let out a chuckle and then set up.

"He loves you... you know that right." He said softly.

"Who? Somnus?" I asked with a frown.

"Your father. He might not admit it, but he does.... you're apart of him just as much as Noct... and he wants you to be happy." Cid said softly.

"I am happy." I said softly.

He nodded his head and I turned and left the garage. Soon the boys returned and Ignis put an arm around me.

"Sorry 'bout the wait. Ain't she purdy?" Cindy said as she brought the car out.

"She's almost too pretty for the road." Gladio said calmly.

"She's back! We should all get a picture with her!" Prompto exclaimed.

I shook my head and smiled as we stood in front of the car. Ignis wrapped his arms around my waist and put his chin on my shoulder. Cindy took the picture and we pulled apart.

"All the more reason to ride with care. Oh, and before I forget.... Would y'all mind makin' a little delivery for me?"

"No, not at all." Noctis said softly.

"Thought you'd say yes, so I already put it in the trunk. There should be a motel on your way to Galdin. If y'all wouldn't mind giving that to the owner, that'd be swell." Cindy said happily.

She walked away and I looked back at Ignis.

"Grandpa, like grandkid." Noctis said with a chuckle.

"Now that she's all polished up and ready for the road, would you care to take her for a little test drive, Noctis?" Ignis asked softly.

"Not sure I've got what it takes." Noctis said softly.

"I see. Then allow me to take the wheel." Ignis said softly.

We climbed into the car and I smiled as Ignis started the car up and then put it in drive, before taking my hand in his. He interlaced our fingers and started to drive.

"Hammerhead is like no garage ever, y'know?" Prompto said questionably.

"One would expect no less of purveyors to the crown." Ignis said calmly.

"I'll miss it once this road trip's over with." Prompto said with a sigh.

"Huh?"

"There's no reason you can't pay them a visit any time you please." I said softly.

"I'm sure Cindy will be glad to look after your car. Oh, right." Gladio said as realization hit him.

"So that's what this is about." Ignis said with a chuckle.

"If you need, I could always lend you the Regalia." Noct said with a smile.

"Whoa! Thanks for the offer, but once we're back in the Crown City, I think I'd better score my own wheels. " Prompto said quickly.

We continued to drive for awhile before I let out a yawn.

"Well, I'd say that's far enough for today. Might be wise to leave the driving to me until we've found our bearings out here." Ignis said softly.

He pulled over and we made our way to a motel.

"Y'all came all the way out here to deliver the goods? Well, thank ya kindly. We'll take it outta the trunk, so y'all just sit tight." The motel owner said softly.

"Hmm? Umbra." Noct said as he walked up to the dogs

"Bringin' us stuff, atta boy!" Prompto said as I rubbed the dogs head.

"That dog can really track a scent."

"Certainly "nose" how to find us." Ignis said with a smile.

I sent him a look and he held back a chuckle as I shook my head.

"How do you always know, boy?" Prompto asked softly.

"Just a sec." Noct said as he took the book.

He wrote something down and then handed the book back to Umbra.

"All set. Take care out there." Noct said as the dog took off.

"I know. You're not gonna tell me." Prompto said calmly.

"Then don't ask." Noct said as he stood up.

"What was that about?"

Noctis let out a sigh and I held back a laugh.

"Ya don't say?" Prompto said as I went and got us a room.

"One room, two beds if you can." I said softly.

He nodded his head and got us the rooms.

"I can't wait to get some sleep." I said happily.

"You all get the floor. Me and Maria have the beds." Noct said calmly.

"Bold of you to assume Ignis won't sneak into the bed with her."

"Who said anything about sneaking?" Ignis asked as we walked into the room.

I rolled my eyes and left to change into one of Ignis' shirts and a pair of shorts. The shirt went to my hips and I smiled as I climbed into bed. Ignis laid down beside me and I felt eyes glaring at him.

"Noct, we have talked about this a hundred times. Gladio always rolls over on Maria and Prompto gets handset in his sleep." Ignis said calmly.

"Why can't she just sleep alone?"

"Cause Gladio has the floor and Prompto sleeps beside you."

"Fine." Noct said as he rolled over and went to bed.

Ignis shook his head and quickly fell asleep.
