The team ran down the main hall towards the door that leads into the throne room, and when they entered the throne room, they can see that it's a wreck. The stone throne is smashed into pieces, the left wall was broken through, and even the banners were torn. Eric and Laura have seen the devastation the monsters had done, but they see something very peculiar at the front of the throne. Then they rushed over to investigate, leaving Sonya behind.

"Hey! Don't forget about me!" She said as she run over to see what the two teammates were looking at.

When she see joined up, she can see an empty pile of clothes that belonged to the emperor. She also saw the forlorn expressions on Eric and Laura's faces, as if the emperor was already killed before the team even got there. She picked up the crown and noticed a large lump beneath the green robe, it started to move which shocked her and her teammates.

"What is that!?" Asked Laura in a panic.

"I don't know. Whatever it is, it might be what's left of the emperor" Eric replied.

Then the lump within the green robe moved out from it, revealing a large red colored frog no bigger than a small dog. It confused everyone upon seeing it, thinking that someone or something turned the emperor into a frog.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Asked Sonya.

"Yes, someone or something turned his imperial majesty into a frog" answered Eric.

"Laura, can you turn him back to normal?" She asked.

"I can try, but I sensed that he's been cursed. This is no normal toad spell, but a powerful curse in which I doubt if I can break it" Laura replied.

"Ribbit! Ribbit!" Croaked emperor Darill.

The team doesn't know what he is saying, but it can be interpreted as a warning. Then there's a quiet laughter that echoed the throne room, in which it sounds almost like a woman giggling. They huddled together, wondering where the laughter was coming from.

"That would put me in quite a bind, you silly humans" giggled the female voice.

"Who are you?" Eric demanded.

"Allow me to show myself to you, so you might get the idea" replied the female voice.

Then a strange blue puff of smoke seeps through the cracks of the floor before coalesced into a solidified form, in which it takes on a female form. When the smoke dissipates, there stood a blue skinned woman with long dark blue hair. She wore a bikini that is studded with gemstones and a headdress with wing like designs on it, her fingernails are sharp and red, and she is adorned with gold embellishments. In her hands, she is carrying a green orb that contains small amoebas swimming within.

"I am Calofisteri, fiend of poison! I have been sent by master Arnos to send this empire into jeopardy, so it will not be a threat to him!" She introduced herself.

"And you just turned the emperor into a frog while attacking the palace!?" Laura angrily questioned, while picking up the emperor with both hands.

"Pretty much!" She grinned.

"This is unforgivable! You shall pay for this!" Eric yelled.

Then the battle begins, Calofisteri went first by attacking Eric with her sharp nails. Luckily, he dodged and retaliated by casting candle fire (A type of attack that summons a ring of candles that erupts into a tower of flames, which functions similarly to the black magic spell fira). The fiend of poison screamed in pain, then she casts poison to poison him. He felt sick as the poison kicks in, but Sonya casts poisona to cure him.

Laura was furious at Calofisteri for poisoning Eric, so she casts blizzara at the fiend of poison. It dealt moderate ice damage onto Calofisteri, in which it weakened her. The fiend of poison casts bio (A black magic spell that deals non elemental damage) on Sonya, in which it dealt five hundred damage worth of hp. Sonya fell on her knees as she felt weak, and she saw Calofisteri readies for an attack. Laura rushes in to protect her by casting blizzara, and the fiend of poison fell to the floor on her knees.

The green orb in her hand rolled off and landed on the floor with a smash, but there's no liquid spilling out of it despite the fact that the amoebas were swimming within. The amoebas disappeared, but inside the shattered remains of the green orb, is a crystal fragment.

"Curses..!" Snarled Calofisteri.

"Do you give up? Any last words before we end you?" Asked Laura.

"I've... I've yet to steal the earth crystal. Master Arnos would have acquired it, for he wanted to steal the Blue planets four crystals. Then you come here... to rescue your beloved emperor...! I would have... slain him when he was a frog... Don't think you've won, for there are more fiends than me and Wendigo...!" Calofisteri explained as she struggled to speak.

"We already dealt with Wendigo, so the Lunarian sage is curing him of his mutation" said Eric.

Sonya wondered what Siegfried is doing during the monster attack, so she told Laura and Eric that she is going to check up on Siegfried. They were fine with this, so she left the throne room to go to the imperial capital city. Before she left the palace, she casts cura on herself to heal her wounds.

At the imperial capital city

After facing off some monsters that have attacked some of the buildings, Siegfried was out of breath and leaned against the wall. He watched as the monsters retreat out of the city, but he had few scratches on his bare torso. He paid no mind to the scratches, for it wasn't so dire since the monsters that attacked him only scratched the skin than the muscle tissues. He used up his Scrubber abilities of hot and cold water to defeat the monsters, so he couldn't use anymore of his abilities.

"Siegfried!" The familiar voice called out for him.

"Huh?" He said as he turned around.

He saw Sonya running towards him, and her face shows concern for him. Then she hugged him, before casting cure to heal the scratches on his bare torso.

"Sonya? What happened at the imperial palace?" He asked.

"It was attacked by monsters that are led by the fiend of poison named Calofisteri, we managed to defeat her but the emperor was transformed into a red frog" she answered.

"I'm glad that you're ok, what of the others?" He asked again.

"Laura and Eric are planning to contain Calofisteri inside a container so she won't cause harm, so she might be in the lab until further notice" she replied.

Then Sonya and Siegfried walk down the street and back to the imperial palace, since Siegfrieds illness has abated and the guards were busy, he now can enter the palace without being restricted.
