When Serah and I return to our rental house I notice that it's very quiet. Almost too quiet. There's no sign of my brothers Kadaj or Loz in the living room. Now that I think about it, it's been quiet ever since Lightning left. Most of the time when I'd return home everyone would be laughing and chatting... because we were all together. Lightning really is part of the family.

After a little while of staring at the empty living room, Serah and I finally hear someone coming. It's my brother Loz.

"There you guys are," He greets us with a smile. "How was your first date?"

"It was fun..." Serah answers, putting on a forced smile back.

"Ugh... Finally you're back," Groans Kadaj, as he walks into the living room as well. "You were on that date for so long it feels like two days went past. "

Usually after Kadaj makes a statement like that he laughs right after he says it. But today, he's dead serious.

I just roll my eyes at Kadaj. "Well, excuse me for trying help Serah feel better about Lightning being away."

"Don't talk about Lightning!" Kadaj suddenly shouts out of nowhere, now with tears filling up his eyes.

We all just stare at Kadaj in shock. It seems Kadaj has realized what he just said as he stares back at us.

"I-I'm sorry..." With no further words than that, Kadaj speed walks upstairs.

Loz gives Serah and I an apologetic look. "He's been stressing out ever since... you know..."

Serah nods as if she understands. "Yeah, he's not the only one."

Now Serah's the next one to leave. I hear her exhale a long sigh as she slowly goes upstairs.

"Looks like that date didn't really help, huh?" Loz figures, as he walks over to pat my shoulder.

"No... It didn't help one bit," I sadly agree with him and pat his hand in return. I then start heading upstairs to catch up with Serah.

When I reach me and Serah's room I notice that the door is closed. I sigh softly, as I figure she wants to be alone. I start to open the door anyway.

"W-wait!" I hear Serah's voice from behind the door. "I'm getting undressed and into my pajama's, hang on a sec..."

I slowly close the door back, feeling a little stupid for not considering that in the first place. I quietly wait for Serah to finish up while leaning my back against the door. I try to think of ways I can make her rethink going to retrieve Lightning. How can I stop her from doing such a dangerous task on her own? I trust that she's a strong girl and everything, but I'm really worried something might happen. Especially if the war between Lightning and her enemy is still taking place.

Not too long after concluding my thoughts, Serah speaks from behind the door once again. "All right, come on in, Yazoo."

I open the door and step into the room. It's almost pitch black, but the moon brings just enough light for me to see Serah put on a weak smile. I slowly walk over to my beloved and place my hands on her waist. If I can't make her reconsider leaving, I at least want to give her a night she can remember.

"You know..." I begin to say as lean downward to whisper in her ear. "I could use some help getting undressed as well."

I feel Serah's body suddenly heat up. She shyly looks into my eyes. Even in dark, I can tell that she's blushing right now. And that's exactly what I want. Serah hesitates, but carefully starts pulling down the zipper on my shirt. As she does this I start kissing her multiple times on her forehead and moving lower as I go. Once she unzips my shirt all the way down, I finally capture her lips in mine. We kiss over and over again, locking and unlocking our lips. I hold Serah tightly as we finally make our way over to the bed. I flop us both down on the bed with Serah on top of me, still not letting her lips escape from mine.

As we continue making love, I try not to think about what might happen to her once she leaves. She hasn't said anything yet, but I have a feeling she might leave soon. Will this night we share change your mind, Serah? Please don't go. 'Cause I'd be lost without you.
