A giant wolf is seen roaming in a forest. A noise is heard heard in the bushes. The wolf turns its head and growls. Another noise is heard from trees and a gust of wind is felt by the wolf. The wolf looks in the direction but then another gust and noise is heard on the other side. Soon everywhere was making noise and the wolf growled. Soon the wolf got tired of the game he was playing and let out a loud bark. The noises stopped but a figure could be seen coming from the moon. The figure unsheathed its sword and came down at a blinding speed towards the monster's neck. The monster looked up but it was too late. The sound of grass crunching below the dog rang out. It's body started twitching and it slowly looked down at a man below him. The man smirked and looked at the monster.

"Sorry about that! Could smell you from a mile away. Hope you get peace wherever you go." You said to the dog. The monster was confused until the head started rolling off. The head hit the ground, painting the grass a bloody red color. You got up and put away your sword. "Alright. Let's head back."

You took a deep breath, picked up the head, and ran towards the city. Your name was Y/n L/n, a mercenary. Not really a merc with a mouth, but that was common for mercenaries here. As you knew, that was a contract that you just finished. You get to the bar where you picked up the contact. The bartender looked at you.

"Alright, Y/n. You know the deal." He said and you smiled. You put the head on the counter.

"Is this the one?" You ask him as he examines it.

"If it isn't, are you going to back out there?" He asked you and you simply nodded. He chuckled and got on a pair of glasses. "Man, you have guts. Mind sharing some of that with the others?"

"Hahahaha! Don't worry. It's all experience, it just takes time." You tell him waving your hands. The man looks into your shining green eyes.

"Yeah, but you do have a tough crowd." He says referring to the bar. Mercenaries were kind of treated poorly, luckily you got on people's good side. Being a community helper has partly to do with that. "Nevertheless, this is the right one." He placed the money down on the counter. You picked it up and counted. "Until next time!"

"Until next time!" You say to him and you walk out. Two people sitting near the exit look at you leaving.

"A mercenary? He doesn't look like one." A guy said as the other punched him in the shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?"

"He is a nice guy, but don't piss him off. He's earned the right to be treated as normal. He is very powerful, so I suggest you stay clear of him when he's angry."

You get outside and immediately shiver at the coldness. You see some more monsters appear in front of the bar, you sigh. "Wow, you guys just keep coming." You slowly put your thumb on the sheath of the katana. One of the creatures leap in the air and you concentrate your breath. A tiny wave of water could be seen around the hilt. The next second, you're on the other side of the creature, with your sword in the air. The creature splits in half and is plastered on the ground behind you. "Now. Are you next?"

The creature growled at you and ran down the street. You looked in shock for a few seconds. It then got faster and you snapped out of your daze. "Wait! That was a rhetorical question!"

You dashed at it with amazing speed. The creature starts running towards people. You leap in the air and throw your katana at it. It goes through the beast and you hop onto the fleeing creature. The creature increases its speed as you try and divert it away from the people. "Out of the way! Out of the way!"

People looked at the noise and looked at the creature in fear. The creature then crawled at the side of a building. You hung in to your katana tightly and started twisting it. The creature growled in pain and leaped in the air. You saw a familiar woman and quickly knew what you had to do. You gripped the handle of your katana and concentrated on the tip of the blade. Soon, your katana started glowing orange and fire burned the creature from the inside. The creature yelled in pain but you soon drove your blade through its back. The creature spilt in half and missed the woman, unfortunately... you did not.

"Watch out!!!"

"Gah-!"

You come flying onto the lady and you pull yourself up. You offer your hand to the familiar woman. "Sorry about that."

"It's fine, but how come I always catch you in trouble every time we meet?" She asked you as you picked up the basket of flowers she dropped. You gave them to her. She smiled and handed you your sword in return.

"Aerith! It's not every time! And it's not like I can control it, I just have bad luck." You tell her and she puts her hands behind her back.

"I don't know. I think the little demon likes getting into trouble." She says at you with a smile and slaps your chest. You shove the flowers in her hand and start walking away with an annoyed face.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." You say as she walks up into your face.

"Hey, why you walking away, dark and brooding?" She teased you with a smile and you kept walking

"Be careful of what you say. You might say it to the wrong person one day." You say and walk off. She looks back at the flower basket.

Aerith looked at the flaming remains of the creature. "I should probably move to a different place. These flowers won't sell themselves."

You were walking with your sword in your hand. You look at the blade and then hear something.

"Y/n! It's ready!"

You turn around and find yourself in a lab. You look around to see that the room is empty. A mirror shows your reflection as you are now younger. You decide to walk around it. You walk up to a big tube with green liquid. "Mom plans on helping out with the SOLIDER program. We have one of these tubes at home... so why did she make one here?"

You back up from the tube and look out the window of the lab. You see a large flow of green particles rising in the air. You put your hand on the window. "I didn't think that they would allow me and Nezuko to come this far in with our mom. I guess... this is nice."

You walk away from the window and look at a pure black feather. "The wonders of this feather. It seems to be important if she's studying this one feather."

"Y/n! Hurry up!" A female voice calls to you.

You remember that Nezuko was calling you and rush out of the lab. You soon get outside to see your mother and sister looking at the reactor from one of the decks. You look at the door but you don't know how to get in. "God, after spending most your time here, you'd think you'd learn your way in by now."

A woman scans her card on the panel next to the door. It scans and the door creaks open. You look up at the woman with a bright smile. "Thank you, Miss Scarlet!"

She scoffed at you and closed her eyes at first, then she looked at your beaming smile and gained a small smirk. You then rushed outside and quickly scooped up and put on the shoulders of someone. "Careful there, Y/n. Wouldn't want you falling in."

"Sorry, Nezuko."

"It's okay. Just listen." She said as you looked at the reactor and closed your eyes. You hear something and then there are more and more voices.

"Wow! I can hear them! What is it?" You asks as she looks up at you. Your mother wraps her arms around you both.

"It's the planet, honey. When you need them, they'll help you." She said with a smile.

The scene transitions to you smiling to you having a look of fear. You and Nezuko looked in horror as your mother typed on the computer. "The... Reactor!"

"What?! What's wrong with it!?" Your sister questioned.

"It's draining too much of the planet's life.  It's hurting the planet, the reactor's unstable!" She said as she grabbed Nezuko by the shoulders. "We need to get out of here! Grab your brother and let's go!"

She ran forward and Nezuko grabbed you. Soon the three of you were running in the hallway and a green aura boosted through the hallway. Your mother looked at the two of you as you both made it to the entrance. Nezuko kicked down the door and looked at your mother. She was someone in danger and rushed back into the building. "Mom! What are you doing!? You can't go help him!"

"Someone has to." She said as an explosion rang out soon after she went in. The green blast pushed you and Nezuko outwards. Your eyes surrounded the blast and both of you were heavily injured and pushed towards the snow. Nezuko got up with tears in her eyes.

"MOOOOOOOOMMMM!" Nezuko is seen walking with you on her back.

"Come on! Please... don't....we can...make it..." Nezuko carried you as you both walked in the snow. She soon fell to the ground, her sword and your body landed far away from her. Nezuko raised her head and clenched the snow. She heard footsteps approaching and tried crawling towards you. "Y/n...I'm... almost....there...."

You raised your head and saw the monsters approaching. You stood up slowly as your vision was wavering. You picked up the sword and stood in front of your sister with sword in your hand. The monsters started picking up speed.

"When you need them, they'll help you."

"Please...help me." You softly shout as a trail of green appears from the sky and wraps around you and Nezuko. The both of you are healed and the wolf leaps at you. You grip the sword with all your might and swing an overhead strike. As the blade goes down, it starts turning into liquid. A blue dragon of water comes out of the blade and slices the remaining creatures. You look at your blade in shock as your sister stands up.

"W-What was that?"

Your mind snapped back to the present as you hear a faint object. You put away your blade as your phone rings. The contact says 'Golden Actress'. You pick up the phone and smile. "Hello?"

"Hey, Y/n! How are you doing?" A female voice asked you.

"I'm doing pretty well, just hunted down a few creatures. How about you?"

"Good, good. I've been keeping out of trouble."

"I highly doubt that." You tell her. "Alright, now tell me why you really called me."

"Eh!? I'm offended, Y/n... but your right. I need to cash in a favor." She said as you stood up with a confused look on your face.

"What's the favor, Jessie?"

Two men are seen on top of a speeding train before it comes to a halt. A solider tells another to go and check the train. The solider walks down the lane and soon choking could be heard. The solider turned around with his gun out and noticed that the soldier was gone. He frantically looked around and someone came and got him in a headlock. A woman came running and kicked the solider in the chest. The man behind him put he solider down on the ground softly as a another man hopped down from the train. A black man is seen with shades and a gun for a hand. He nods at the three and the three took off running ahead. The gun man looked at the trains.

"Get down here, Merc." He said as a blond man leaped off the train with his sword. He then put the sword in his back. "Where's Y/n?"

"Right here, Barret."

"AHHH!" Barret screamed in shock as you appeared next to him. Barret tried to compose himself. He shoved you a little. "Stop that."

"HALT!!" Two soldiers came with their guns pointed towards you all.

"You two are up." Barret says as he runs past the soldiers. You smile and elbow the blonde next to you.

"We meet again, Cloud. Let's try and get this done so we can get paid." You say as you put your hand on the handle of your katana. Cloud took his sword from his back.

"I think that's the best thing I've heard today. Handle the left."

"Yes, sir!" You say to Cloud and you quickly slice the man's armor. He is taken back but you soon knock him out with a sheath to the stomach. Cloud slashed the solider on your right and then turned to you. You both nod and keep moving. You get to the entrance of the building and see four soldiers looking at you two while everyone is hidden in the wall. "Uh, oh."

"Who in the hell?!"

"Hands where I can see them!"

The soldiers approach the two of you and the rest that were up against the wall hop over the railing. Jessie looks at the two of you. "Have fun."

You and Cloud take out your weapons as you sweep kick one of the soldiers and then headbutt his head as he falls. Cloud sliced some of the soldiers and hit them away. One of the soldiers tried to fire their guns. "Stand down or we'll shoot!"

"Go ahead." Cloud says as you slice the soldier and steady your sword. You get a wave of water on your blade and slam it on the chest of the remaining soldiers at a blinding speed, knocking them out. "Let's keep moving."

You and Cloud hop over the check in station to see more soldiers coming down the stairs. They had their guns out and the gang ran up the stairs. Briggs looked at you two. "You got this."

Wedge looks at the rest of you. "Yeah, what he said."

"Drop your weapons!" A soldier says as you put your hands on your katana. "You're coming with us!"

"I don't think so." You say and you leap in the air. You kick a soldier in the head and land on the wall. Your kick off the wall to gain speed and quickly sliced a soldier. Cloud blocks the shots coming at him with his buster sword. He rolls out of the way and thrusted his sword towards a solider and twisted his body to knock out the other one. The soldiers were defeated and you looked at Cloud. "Not bad."

"Could be better." Cloud and you run up the stairs and see a crate. You kick it open and get two potions. You hand Cloud one as he opens a crate and tosses a greande at you. You quickly catch it and glare at him. "What?"

"What would have happen if I dropped it?!"

"Then we both would be fine." He says as you both get to where everyone else is. Jessie and Biggs are working on a door. And Jessie turns towards Biggs.

"So what's solider boy's deal? Is he one of us now? This, uh, what was his name again?" Jessie asked.

"Cloud. Cloud Strife. And he isn't a soldier anymore. Still, like Y/n, he's a professional like the rest of us. I'm glad to have the both of them." Briggs says as Cloud stops chatting with you to look at them.

"This is a one time gig. When it's done, we're done." He bluntly says as Wedge loses his smile. You walk up to Jessie and Briggs.

"Hey, Y/n. Why did you take this job?" Briggs asked you as you crossed your arms and went to answer.

"He owed me a favor. Taught him how to make pizzas." Jessie says as Briggs sighs with a smile.

"That's it? Risking your life for pizza?"

"If it's good, then it's worth it." You says but honestly, that wasn't the real reason you took this job. "Plus, you promised to pay Cloud some good money."

"Yeah, he's a real joy to work with." Briggs says as Jessie smirks.

"Real joy to look at too."

"Oh god, come on Jess..." You say to her and Briggs face palms. "You can't be that horny."

"Never underestimate a single girl's sexual nature." Briggs says as you and him shutter at the thought.

"Looks are what people notice first." She retorts as Briggs looks at her.

"Guess I'm not on the same page as people."

"I'd say your not even reading the same book." Jessie said as you kind of felt like you were interrupting something. You slowly walked towards Cloud.

"Alright, enough. We're done here."

"Or even the same-!"

"Stop."

Cloud went towards Barret as you followed. You had a smile while Cloud had his normal look. Barret shoved Cloud to the side and walked towards Jessie. You turn towards Barret. "Hey, Barret. You realize there was way more space?right?"

"Yeah, what about it." He said as he walked away. You were about to tell him off but Cloud gripped your shoulder. When you turned to him, he simply shook his head. You nodded and went towards Jessie. Wedge walked up to Cloud.

"Come on, no one would do something this crazy for money. They might not think you're a true believer but do you know I think...?"

"Not interested." Cloud immediately says as Wedge looks disappointed. You turn your head towards Jessie.

"Uh...how we doing, Jess?" You ask her and she smiles.

"Give it a minute...THERE!" She says as the door opens. Jessie and Biggs run shards with their guns. Barret walks forward and turned towards Wedge.

"Wedge." Barret says as Wedge hesitated but soon goes on ahead as well. He looks at Cloud. "You better be worth the money, merc. Every last Gil. And Y/n..." He says to you. You turn your head to look at him, he smirks. "Stay out of trouble."

He goes on ahead as Cloud scoffs at Barrett's attitude towards him. You rush on ahead to see the others back up against another wall, waiting for the soldiers to pass. They do and you see a solider and a dog.

"Looks like I'm up." You quickly take out your sword and slice the dog's side. Cloud goes for the guy and sliced the man in the legs then the stomach as he slammed his blade into the body. The dog tried to leap at you and you counter attack with a powerful flame wave. The dog burns as you quickly slice the head off and turns towards Cloud. "Wasn't even a chance of you winning."

Due to Y/n's massive range, skill, and power, Y/n can harness his power for a strong counterattack whether it will be ranged or physical. It does stun him for a while after the move is used so he has to be careful when using it.

Another security officer showed up and you impaled him in the shoulder with your katana. You saw Cloud giving you a sacred look but he soon got rid of it. You threw the officer in the air before kicking his head down the the ground hard. Cloud spotted a guard dog getting ready to pounce on you and Cloud went for an overhead slash. It staggered the dog allowing Cloud to finish the job quickly. "That it?"

You both continue forward to see everyone on the upper floors. Wedge stops to look at you. "Hey guys! The elevator is over there! Catch up soon!"

You run to the elevator and see a big red button. Cloud moved you to the side and pressed it. You both moved up and you turned towards Cloud. "When's the last time we had a contract together?"

"Probably when you got in trouble." He said with a barley visible smirk. You waved your hands all around.

"Hey! I rarely get into trouble." You tell him and he loses the smile, turning towards you with an unamused look. "...By choice."

You and Cloud walk down the ramp and see the gang trying to cut a hole through the gated door. Jessie cuts the hold and goes through, soon everyone goes through until Biggs points at you two. "Not so fast. We've got company."

You and Cloud both turn around to see two soldiers coming out the ramp. You sigh and dash towards a soldier. You sweep kick him and slam your sword on his chest. Cloud strikes the monster dog in the back of its head and block the shots from the soldier. You kick the soldier in the face, knocking him out. You pick up his body and throw it towards Cloud. Cloud catches the body and used it as a shield while he attacked the dog. The dog was struggling and failed to notice you. You quickly slice the dog with a quick sharp overhead slice. You look to see Cloud thrusting his sword at the soldier, defeating him. You both run to catch up with the others and go through the gates doors. You eventually get to another open area and punch a soldier in the face. You sliced the soldier with a wave of water and Cloud slammed his buster sword onto the others head. Both of the soldiers fell down and Cloud opened a chest while you went ahead. You pulled a lever while Cloud approached you. He tossed you a green drink.

"...? Oh. A potion." You say as Cloud nods. "Hey, you ever wonder why they leave easy to open crates all around the world?"

"...Yes. But I try not to think about it too much." He admits as the two of you see the others.

"Alright! Let's go!" Barret says as Wedge goes one way and the others go a different way.

"Come on, guys!" Jessie shouts to you as you two follow her.

"Pick up the pace!" Barret says as you and Cloud lazily run by him. Soon, Biggs is working a computer trying to get a door open. And for some reason, Barret is bugging Cloud. "Soldiers may attack on command, but I hear they make good guard dogs too. Bet you've seen a few reactors. So how do we get above the bridge to the Mako storage?" Cloud doesn't answer as he's more focused on something else. "You're not holding back on me, are you? Scab scared to bite the hand that fed him?! Or is he a loyal little doggy?!"

Cloud holds his head as Barret continues yelling at him. You sigh and look at Barret. "If you couldn't tell Barret, the reactors are all different, so they have different layouts. It shouldn't be a problem for us though."

Barret looks at you suspiciously. "Were you ever a SOLDIER, Avatar?"

"Haha. I'm dying of laughter. I wasn't but I...knew...someone who worked on them." You say and it was your turn to bump Barret away.

"3, 2, 1, Damn I'm good." Biggs says as the doors open. You and Cloud walk in as the soldier look at you.

"Who's there? Door!" A soldier says to another as the doors close behind you. You look at the soldier and they point their guns at you.

"Listen, we already took out everyone so far. What makes you think you have a better chance then them?" You ask as you put your hand on the katana.

"Shut up, scum! It's over for you!" A soldier says Cloud takes out his buster sword.

"That's our line."  Cloud dashed forward as you went for the walls. The four soldiers shot at the both of you. You leaped of the wall and melted the bullet flying at you with your fire. Cloud thrusted his sword towards an opponent and slashed another upwards into the air. Cloud than span around and brought his sword down on the man. You sliced the man's armor, clean off with the fire. You then used water sword to blast the others towards the wall. The others finally came in to see that you were done.

"We're back!" Jessie said as she ran to the door.

"Then let's get moving." Cloud says as Jessie smiles.

"He always knows just what to say." She said as even Barret felt uncomfortable.

"Cut it out."

"Yeah, no one wants to hear your horniness." You say as Jessie kicks you while she works on the computer.

"Ignoring the wet hot boy, luckily I have someone who can give us the passcodes. Nobody else at command will talk to us but what can you do." She says as you crossed your arms. If they won't talk to them, why are they on this mission? To prove themselves. You thought that these four were the WHOLE Avalanche group...what a surprise. "And there."

The screen flashes green and the door opens. Jessie hurried in and Biggs looked at her. "Careful in there."

She nods as you all walk in. Jessie looks at the elevator and turned towards you. "Why don't you press that button over there for me?"

You look over to see the button over there. "What? Why don't you do it? You are an adult, right?"

"Will you just do it?" She says with a smile. You sigh and press the button. Not one second after, she looks at Cloud. "So you know Tifa, right? It's not really my business but... are you guys close?"

You couldn't believe that she asked that. Man... you haven't heard Tifa's name in a while. Seeing the past the two of you had, it was only natural you'd be worried. You forgot you'd be seeing her again, after so many years. As Cloud was having an anime flashback, the elevator door rang. Barret walked in and pushed the two of them back. You walked in slowly after with a grin. Jessie and Cloud step on as Barret presses the button.

A man is approaching a old man sitting in a chair. "These sewer rats appear to call themselves Avalanche, sir. We are currently wether they belong to the same group that made the attempt on your life. Rest assured, our inquires will not take much longer."

The man looked at you a curious stare. The other man looked at what he was looking at. "Does this rat peak your interest, sir?"

"Yes, the way he uses his weapons... and powers without materia. It's not unheard of but... reminds you of a certain flower girl, doesn't it?"

"Ah. I see. But he reminds me more of Aurora... doesn't he?" The man said as the man in the chair smirked at the screen.

"If that's the case, then we need him alive. You know what to do."

"This plant's sole purpose is to run the planet dry, while you sleep, while you eat, while you shit. It's here sucking up Mako. It doesn't replace and it doesn't care. You do realize what Mako is, don't you?" Barret says as you nod. Jessie and Cloud look bored. "Mako is the lifeblood of our world. The planet bleed green, unlike you and me who bleed red. What the hell thinks gonna happen when it's all gone?! Huh?! Answer me?! You gonna stand there and pretend you can't hear the planet crying in pain? I know you can!"

"You're right, Barret. I do hear the planet, but it's not telling me the same as it does you." You admit as he looks at you confused. The elevator stops and Cloud looks at Barret and you.

"I'd not worrying about the planet and more about what's going to happen in the next five minutes. Save the screaming for later." Cloud tells Barret and he glared at Cloud. The elevator doors open and the sentry guns come online.

"Our very lives are at stake..." Barret then walked up to Cloud and point his gun arm at him. You were about to put your hand on the katana but Cloud just gave you a look. You removed the quick draw hand. "You listening merc? One false move..." Barret shoots a turrets down. "And that happens..."

"Well, so much for have Cloud and Y/n do all the fighting, there are some places a sword just can't reach." Jessie says to herself and walk up to Cloud and You. "Just bare with him for me, okay?"

You and Cloud look at Barret, You look at each other, and soon move forward. "Should have asked for more money..."

A turret comes online and looks at you. Barret looks at the two of you. "What? You gonna throw your sword at him? Let's the man with the gun handle it."

Barret shoots at his turret and it soon blows up. He goes to the next one as you run towards the last one. You get it's attention and then close your eyes while running. Green aura surrounded you as the turret shot at you. You opened your eyes at the last second, right as it hit your blade, you sent out a massive flame of fire coming out of the entity of our blade. It enveloped the metal creature and destroyed it. You put the sword back into your death and looked at the group.

"Not bad, Huh?"

"Well, nice to know we got a badass over here!" Jessie said from afar. The metal creatures started appearing from below.

"Your up, Merc. Try to hustle." Barret said as Cloud was already attacking the robots.

"Shut up and move over." Cloud thrusted his sword into the robot, effectively taking out one of them. Barret was shooting some from afar as you dashed ahead and sliced through the flame waves. You saw one behind you and Cloud took care of it by slicing it in half. You send out a wave of water near the robot Barret was attacking. It hit the robot and Barret looked at you with mildly anger.

"Hey! Watch it! It could have gotten in my gears!" He shouts as you run to the back of your head.

"Aww, don't be like that. It worked, didn't it?" You said as you all ran downstairs.

"It would have been disastrous if that went in my gears!" He says as Cloud scoffs.

"Would have been an improvement from what you are now." Cloud says as Jessie works on a panel.

"Look what we have here." She says and Cloud crosses his arms.

"A laser security system... great." He says.

"Those things will hurt more than your pride if your careless. They'll cut you down a size and then some. But I'm guess you've al done this before." Jessie states as you smile.

"Yeah, it's honestly a really bad security system. All you have to do it wait for the timing and make a move when they turn off." You say as Jessie puts a hand on her hip.

"Exactly. I'll go first, nothing like a life or death situation to get the blood pumping." She says and rushes in. Cloud gets worried.

"Ah-! Wait!"

"Just keep those baby blues on me." She says and sprints to the end with perfect timing. You crack you knuckles and start to hop around.

"This looks like fun. Let me give it a shot." You say and you start stretching. You then start sprinting and dodge the first laser field with ease. You don't stop moving, you keep on going and do a backflip to surpass the second one. You then do a moonwalk to surpass the last one. "Oh yeah! Nothing but style."

"Sick moves, Y/n." Jessie says as the two of you high five. Barret and Cloud make their way towards you as you and Jessie go on ahead. You and Jessie quickly maneuver around the lasers and the others meet up with the two of you soon. "Watch out, they don't call those sweepers  for nothing. They can wipe out a whole squad in seconds."

"Not if you wipe the floor with them first." Cloud says and dashed towards the machine. It immediately sped towards you and Barret shot at it with a cocky smile.

"Ha! We can take this hunk of junk." He cockily says as you roll out of the way of the skates. You slice the leg of the sweeper but it doesn't do much to it. It tried to shoot at you but you blocked the shots.

"That hunk of junk is a heavy weapon platform. If we rush in, we die." Cloud informs Barret as he thrusted his sword at the sweeper. And the robot stopped moving.

"Keep the pressure on it!" You shout as Barret starts shooting rapid fire. You and Cloud start doing heavy and massive attacks to the robot. You keep attacking as Barret looks at you two.

"Don't have to tell me twice. Get back!" He says and casted Thunder. The bolt hits and the sweeper seizes up. You quickly hit the wires with a flame wave as the robot starts going up in flames. You crouch down and Cloud runs up your back to gain air. He then twists his body to deliver a spinning overhead attack. He lands on the ground and you dust off your clothing.

"It wasn't as bad as I originally thought." You say as Barret looked at Cloud.

"Hey, what are you? 20?"

"1st." Cloud says as Barret and you are confused.

"Huh?"

"SOLDIER 1st Class. Doesn't go into the 20's." Cloud says as you burst out laughing. Barret has a smirk as well.

"The hell you talking about? I mean your age, not your goddamn rank." Barrett says as you begin to walk ahead.

"I..ah..hmmm." Cloud says. He cursing himself on the head as you are still laughing.

"For all I know, a soldier rank could be the same as their age. Guess that makes you a one year old, huh?" Barret says and they soon catch up to you. "Live and learn."

Cloud makes it to your side and you elbow him. "It's fine, dude. He'll either forget about it or he's weird."

"I'm sure it's the second one." Jessie added in as you all looked at Barret acting like his gun's a microphone.

"Agreed." Cloud says you all get into the core of the Mako Core.

"That's our target. The reactor core. Gotta set the bomb at the bottom." Jessie says as you drop a rock down to the bottom from where you are standing. It soon goes to the bottom and splits apart. "Quite a job. Guess that's out of the question."

"Then we should find a way around." You say as Jessie heads down a ladder. You and Cloud slid down it.

"Hot damn, I can practically taste the Mako in here. Hurry it up." Barret says something that... rather disgusted you. "Oooooo, my heart is ponding like a jack hammer!"

"Hey, Barret. You mind tone it down a bit? It's okay to be scared but not to be creepy." You tell him and he smiles. You all make it to more ladders.

"Yeah sure. It's just that I'm excited that a years life goal is finally becoming reality!" He says as you as Jessie stops moving.

"What are you doing?"

"The end's in sight. I leave the rest in your capable hands. Good luck." She says as you wonder what she had really done during the fighting. You decide not to question in and go down to the bottom. You slid down the ladder with Cloud and Barret following soon after. You all walk into a corner and see more droids on your way.

"Time to get started." You quickly slice one up with a water wave. You then kick another one back and send another wave. Its destroyed as it castes fire on you. You dodge the fireball and see Cloud leaping in the air to slice another monodrive.

"You're done." Cloud says as he slammed his sword down on a tiny robot. The robot falls to the ground, Cloud quickly flips his blade the opposite direction and brings it upwards, cutting the drone in half. Cloud sees Barret and you done with the enemies.

"Alright, let's journey on." You say as the rest nod. You continue going down as Barret speaks up.

"You think if we fell in... we'd sink right to the bottom? To the planet's core?" He asked as Cloud shook his head.

"No, the pump would suck us back up." Cloud says as then you gain a mixed look.

"Then the pump would detect life sources and try to break us with the Mako." You tell him and Barret stops moving. You turn to look back at him.

"How comforting." Barret says as he shoots at more drones. You leap in the air and sliced the drones head off. You kick the head at another robot which draws it attention to you. Barret takes that opportunity to fire a big blast at the robot. You land on the ground. "Not bad, huh?"

"I could probably do that with my eyes closed." You say as you see more drones coming. "Can you handle that?"

"Can I handle it? Please, you'll be the one in the dirt in a second." He says as Cloud slices a fireball in half. You roll out of the way of one and use a water slash to put out the fire. You then slash the remaining drones in one fluent motion, like the ocean waves. "Keep them coming!"

"Shouldn't we be staying silent?" You ask as you all slide down the next ladder.

"It won't matter after the explosion goes off." Cloud reminds you. You all continue walking on the flat platform until you see the core. You all begin to walk up to it and passing by the bridge to get there.

"Luckily, we'll be long gone before that happens. So let's do this." Barret says as Cloud stops walking. Barret then turns to Cloud. "Alright, let's see if the scab does bite the hand that feeds. Go on, do the honors. Prove to me that your the man Tifa says you are. That you're one of us."

"Never said I was. I'm just here for the paycheck." Cloud says as Barret gets angry and hold out the bomb.

"Then do the damn job!" He yells and you elbow Barret.

"Cool your jets, Barret." You say as Cloud takes the bomb and goes towards the reactor.

"You and him are getting paid for this, so you need to do the job you're getting paid for." He says as you cross your arms.

"Yeah, but you don't have to be a dick about it." You says as Cloud holds his head. You both turn to him.

"What's wrong?" Barret asked as Cloud shook his head.

"It's nothing. What about the timer?" He says.

"Your call, Merc." Barret said. Cloud thought about your abilities. How good you were at fighting and those 'powers' you had. With his and your skill, getting out of there shouldn't be a problem. So, Cloud set the time for twenty minutes. "Pretty cocky, ain't ya? You get from Y/n?"

You were about to retort until you smelled something coming from afar. You take out your katana and Cloud immediately takes out sword. "Heads up!"

Barret looks at the scorpion sentinel that drops down from above. It lands on the platform. "What in the hell?!" It raised itself in the air with electricity flowing through everything. You roll out of the way as Barret shoots rapid fire at it. "Hey! How the hell do we beat this thing?!"

"It's got reenforced armored plating. But the internals can be overloaded, lighting magic." Cloud says as Barret used lighting to stun it a bit. You get on the back and try to burn the insides. Cloud gets the bottom of the sentinel and staggers it a bit. He then thrusted his sword more into the core. You slice the tail over and over to weaken the potential threat. Soon, Barret fires a big blast at the tail and the sentinel hopped onto the wall. "There."

"I got him." Barret says as he shoots him from afar. You get a running start and leap towards the wall at a blinding speed. You run towards the sentinel as you dodge the rockets it fires at you. You channel your power and soon a rocket hits your blade and causes a big explosion. Suddenly a flame dragon comes out the blast and hits the sentinel back onto the platform. Cloud took the opportunity to strike the bottom again, causing it to malfunction for a quick second. The sentinel then hopped back on wall and maneuvered itself to the other side of the platform. It then glows green and has a green shield around him. "What is that?!"

"A barrier?" Cloud says as you run on the wall to get closer to the sentinel.

"That's just cheating! Did they always have this?!" You ask and you dodge the missiles coming at you. You leap on some to bring you back to the platform.

"No, I've never seen this defense system before." Cloud says as the sentinel starts glowing blue and slams its body on the r ground. Creating a shockwave that the others jump over.

"I thought you were the expert." Barret says as you leap off the wall and land back in the platform. You and Cloud circle around it to try and find a weak point.

"So what's your brilliant plan, genius?" Cloud says as Barret stayed silent. You found a tiny core in the back and attacked it.

"There! Maneuver around to get to the core in that back!" You says as it soon unleashed its electric slam and creates a field. You roll out of the way as Cloud casts fire at the weak spot. You slash at it with your blade infused with fire. The field generator stops and stops moving.

"There! Hit it hard and fast!" Cloud said as you dashed to the front and attacked it. You sliced it with fire, trying to melt your way to the core of the robot. It soon leaped to the wall.

"Oh yeah! My time to shine!" Barret says as you run into the wall again to chase after it. You smirk and look at him.

"Oh yeah, what could possibly go wrong there." You says sarcastically. Barret send out a big gunshot and it hits the sentinel stopping it from attacking you. You slice the legs as it struggles to stay onto the wall. You slide under it and attack the legs as the fire rings out of your blade and melts some of the metal away. It leaps back onto the platform and you soon follow it's lead. "Keep it going!"

"Did you even have to ask?" Barret says as  you and Cloud leap in the air and give a downward slash to the sentinel. You then followed up with a thrust as Barret fired another big blast. "Suck on this!"

You saw a glimpse of it catching on fire as you stabbed the sword into the core. "Here comes a big one!" You shouts as you launch a big wave of fire onto the core and it explodes a little. The sentinel hops onto the wall again and it's on fire. A green eye is shown as multiple rockets go flying out and onto the ceiling. Things come crashing down and you all rush to the area where the sentinel landed.

"Watch out for the tail! You don't want to be hit by that laser!" Cloud shouts as if on cue, the tail started glowing blue.

"Huh? So what do we do?!" Barret asked as the laser started getting bigger and you slid behind some debris.

"Think about it. Just don't get hit! Take cover behind that debris!" You shout to Barret as you and Cloud hide on one side. And Barret hides over his. The laser shoots out and destroyed your debris. You and Cloud saw that it was stunned.

"There! Strike now before it fires the laser again!" Cloud says as Barret shots powerful shots and you grip your katana. The fire burns and you charge towards the sentinel and slice the core with quick and precise attacks. You twist your body and rise in the air while attacking the core. You jump back and Barret fires a blast that damages the sentinel heavily. It then goes crazy, trying to blast everything while it catches on fire. You look at it glowing and know exactly what it's doing.

"Is that an auto repair unit?! Now it's just being petty!" You shout and dash towards the legs.

"Damn. We have to take it out quickly or we'll be screwed!" Cloud said as you nodded. You closed your eyes and green aura waves surrounded your body. When you opened them, your blade shined green and you dashed for the blade. You quickly dashed all around it, slicing it at high speeds. It started to explode but then the laser destroyed the reactor and blasted the ceiling. Some of the rubble came down, blocking the bomb.

"Shit! The bomb!" Barrett said as the bomb started going down. You dashed through the sentinel and it crashed into the waters of the reactor. You landed on the ground as it soon exploded. Barret chuckled and looked at you two. "You hear that. Show'd that damn thing how it's done."

"Come on, we gotta move!" Cloud said as he put the sword on his back. You nodded and put your sword in your sheath.

"Right! We have twenty minutes to get out and far away with everyone else!" You say and you all begin running towards the single ladder.

"Wedge should be covering our way out! Go, go, go!" Barret said as he climbed up the ladder as fast as he could. Cloud was next and you were shortly after him. Barret ran ahead while you and Cloud sprinted up the stairs. More drones appeared and Cloud sighed.

"Give me a break."

"We don't have time for scraps like you!" You say and you slice the drones and kick them down into the water. You both kept running and climbed up the ladder to see Barret at the stairs and Jessie on a platform. You see a railing come down and Cloud leaps onto the pipe. Cloud takes off the debris that fell on Jessie's leg.

"You okay?"

"Do I look okay? Help a girl out, would ya?" Jessie says as you and Barret nod at each other.

"We'll link up over there! Look after Jessie!" Barret says as the two of you run down the stairs. "Come on, come on." He says as you climb up a ladder and run forward. You see Barret right behind you and you sprint down the railing and hop onto the next ladder. "We need to keep going. We don't have all day."

"Barret! Shut the fuck up and keep moving. You're not helping." You tell him and he nodded and shut up. You both begin to climb and see Cloud arriving at same meeting place as you. You all get back together as a new drone flies in the air.

"Barret!" Jessie shouts as you grip your katana in its sheath.

"I got you covered! Find us a way out of here!" Barret says as Jessie looked hesitant. Barret shot the drone and then at the officer. "Don't worry, I'll be fine! I've got SOLDIER boy and The Demon Hunter with me."

Jessie looked at the two of you and then nodded. She sprinted in the open doorway before it closed. Cloud and you got out your weapons and looked at the remaining troops. "Ex-SOLDIER boy."

"Cloud, you're a man. Say man not boy." You tell him with a smile. You then dash forward at an officer.

"There here! Take them down!" One says as you immediately knock him out with a headbutt. You then kick him towards another soldier and slice them both to the wall.

"We don't have time for this shit! The clock's ticking!" Barrel says as he shoots the flying drones.

"Cool it. Five seconds is all we need." Cloud says as he slashes a officer before tossing him to you. "Catch."

You grab the officer and kick him down to the floor. Barret looks at the two of you. "Let's go! The others are waiting! We gotta get out of here, ASAP."

You begin sprinting up the ramps and get back tit the sweeper area. As if it wasn't bad enough, a sweeper was activated. You immediately harness fire to your blade."I'm getting tired of these robots."

"You can say that again." Barret says and shoots Thunder at the sweeper.

"I'm getting tired of these-"

"Stop." Cloud says before you could finish your sentence. You trust your sword into the core core and set off a massive wave of fire. It exploded and you all continue to run back to the laser grid. The lasers were turned off and more drones came.

"Heads up, we've got company." Barret says as you dodge a fireball. You then run up as slash the drone with water.

"No shit." Cloud says as Barret aims for the ones that are in the air and blasts them with ease. Cloud sliced one so it spilt in half. He then redirects the pieces to the other drones, making them explode on impact.

"Now that was too easy." You says as you all continue running.

"It wasn't even a work out." Cloud added on as a shock trooper came in through some broken glass. "Wait for them to attack first."

"Heh. You're your speaking my language!" You shout as you change your stance so that the blade his facing behind your palm. You wait for one to attack you and immediately slice it in half with water when it does.

"Damn, keep that tide away from me." Barret shouts as he shoots a trooper from afar. You smirk at him and thrust your sword into the stomach of another.

"What? Are you afraid of a little water?" You say and slice through another. Cloud finished his trooper and you all kept moving.

"When the water can kill me? I'll pass." You all make it to the elevator floor and see more turrets coming online.

"Don't screw this up." Cloud says to Barret as Barret shoots the turrets.

"Heh, are you talking to yourself again?" Barret handles the turrets while you and Cloud handle the shock troopers. You use the fire to back off the troopers.

"This reminds me of my cook out!" You say as and you burn the metal armor off the trooper. You slid under the legs and Cloud hits the trooper up in the air.

"What?" Cloud said as you leap in the air and bring your foot down on the troopers head.

"I remember I got this cool idea to cook using my flames. Best decision I've made in a while." You say as Barret shoots away the last one. "How we looking on time?!"

"Any second now!" Barret says as you dash for the elevator. You slam your fist on the button and the doors open. You all run in and the alarm illuminates the elevator red. Barret pressed the buttons and the door closed. The bomb exploded destroying the reactor. Nothing else was damaged.

The same man in the chair looked at the other man and nodded. "Sir."

The man with the beard then pressed a button on his phone. The turrets, sweepers, and drones all started destroying everything. The elevator shakes and you get a bad feeling about things.

"Come on, come on come on come on." Barret says as he turned to the silent Cloud and the nervous you. The elevator doors soon open and you all begin running out.

Jessie gets the door open. "The doors open! We don't have a lot of time here! Pick up the pace, people!"

"Let's keep moving! The whole place is coming down!" You shout as some debris falls and you quickly push Jessie and yourself out of the way.

"Heh, my hero."

"Please don't kiss me." You say as she ruffled your hair. You drop her and she gets up and runs with you and Cloud. A pipe comes down, destroying the area Cloud was standing on.

"Cloud!" He hops off the platform and a pipe and comes back. Jessie gives a thumbs up and you give a smile. "Okay, that was pretty cool."

"That was nothing. You should have seen him in action." You say as he smiles at the two of you. Jessie then waved her arm.

"Alright, let's go." She said to you. You all continue to run off as the reactor glows green and explodes. A green sky beam is sent in the air and the debris go flying through the sectors. You hear something and get a bad feeling. "Y/n! Let's go!"

"R-Right."
