"Hey, can you hear me?" A younger Y/n is seen looking at present day Y/n in a white void. "Can't move, can you?"

"I can...it just hurts..." Y/n's voice said as he tried to move.

"You're gonna have to move. Shinra is searching for you, and they're not gonna take you lightly." Y/n said as you got up and held your head. "Take it easy, one step at a time."

"Yeah, I know, I know." You said as he looked around, "where's..."

"Your sword?" Y/n looked at you confused, not understanding your own movement. "You broke it, remember?"

"I didn't break it, it broke." You said as your eyes were still closed.

"If the blade breaks, it means the wielder was not skilled enough to use it." Y/n said as he walked around. "Now, I think it's time for you to get up. They're starting to show up."

"But..,what can I do..." You asked Y/n as the boy smiled at you.

"Silly, what can't you do? See, you're on of the only people in his world, that CAN change fate. Why not do so?"

A Shinra officer walks onto a barren street, men surrounding him and following his lead.

Leader: Alright, men. Be careful. He should be around here.

Officer: I think I found it.

The men looked to a crater in the street, Y/n laid there unmoving. The leader held up his gun and slid down the crater.

Leader: Man, this thing is huge. HQ never told us we'd be finding something like this.

Officer: Hey, Cap'n. Do you really think they gonna drop a plate onto sector 7?

The leader moved the black wing and looked around.

Leader: I don't question the higher ups, if they do it, then they probably got a good reason.

Y/n started to shift as the leader raised his hand. The guns pointed the two.

Leader: Hey! Come with us quietly or there will be trouble.

Y/n: Is it true....about the plate being dropped?

The leader smacked Y/n over the head with gun.

Leader: That's enough out of you!

Y/n got up and his wing came out.

Y/n: alright, if you so wish to die, then let's go!

Y/n put out his hand, manifesting a blade. The blade is designed as a Japanese odachi blade. The design and color of the tsuba (guard) and tsuka (hilt) are entirely black. The blade's exact length is approximately six-to-eight feet long. The handle is more than long enough to accommodate both hands, but Y/n seems to be able to carry it in one thanks to his unbelievable strength. It has a rectangular tsuba, which is gold-colored in most appearances. Y/n quickly got dashed towards two officers and gave a slice across their chest, killing them instantly.

Y/n's Second Unique Ability: Tifa's Guardian Angel

Y/n uses his black wing in order to release his more powerful self, allowing him access to many skills, spells, abilities. Be careful, the more this is used...the more Y/n changes as well.

The officers tried shooting at Y/n, Y/n blocked it with his new sword before elbowing a man into the remains of a building. Y/n blocked a riot stick and casually pushed it with ease, breaking it and slicing through the man.

Officer: What the hell?!

Officer: He's some sort of monsters.

Y/n; The ones who work for those dogs, those are the really monsters.

Y/n releases an arching sword slash upwards of mako that cut through a wave of enemies as the others look in fear. Y/n walked closer holding the blade with one hand.

Y/n: To know that Shinra is killing people, and you get up in the morning to eat breakfast. I would lose my hunger.

Y/n charges towards their leader at high speeds and the leader tried to shoot, Y/n decapitates him in one slash. The head falls to the ground as Y/n glared at the rest.

Y/n:I'll give you this one chance, scram.

The officers immediately dropped their guns and left. A green trail of Mako flowed around Y/n before making a sheath for his new sword. Y/n smiled and put it into it.

Y/n: They can't seriously be thinking of dropping a plate just to wipe them out. Although I wouldn't put it past them. How long have I been out?

Y/n got a good look at the area to see slums, but seeing as nobody came out to see what was wrong, it was jarring to him. Y/n looked for a way out, his black wing out.

Y/n: I cant afford to put this away now. This place is a mess...

Y/n said as a man on the street walked closer.

Man: Yeah, the Mako reactor is drying up the planet. This slum with it. 'Living in Peace' the folks say up there. They live in safety.

Y/n: I know how that feels. Do you live here?

The man nodded and signed for him to follow.

Man: indeed, I do live here. You could say I help keep things a bit more stable. From that blade, it looks like you've seen as well battle.

Y/n simply nodded and noticed the old man didn't say anything about the wing. Y/n looks at the kids on the street. They kick a ball to the side, pale skin, looking like they were hardly getting any food in.

Man: Unfortunately, you're gonna find that the view down here never improves. While Shinra claims to be doing a service, they took all the life out of this place, hiding it from public eye.

Y/n; Listen, I gotta head towards...

Man: The pillar, right?

Y/n paused as he glared at the man. The man smirked at him. The man pressed a button and the ground below suddenly sank. Y/n then saw an underground passage, with some men in uniform and guns.

Man: You're not the only one.

Y/n smirked as as Helicopter is seen around the plate, firing at Avalanche as Barret, Jessie, Wedge, and Briggs make their way up.

Shinra Helicopter: Attention, Avalanche! You are surrounded! Stand down and surrender to Public Security immediately! Shinra does not negotiate with terrorists! Resist and we will use lethal force! I repeat: Shinra does not negotiate with terrorists! Resist and we will use lethal force!

Barret: Got your lethal force right here, asshole!

Barret fired at the helicopter, as a man fell  off the structure.

Security Officer (1): Stop! I said stop!

Security Officer (2): Drop the weapon now!

Avalanche Member: Screw you, you fascist pricks!

Tifa, Aerith and Cloud are seen on the scene.

Tifa: Dropping a whole plate...just like that. No. No way.

Aerith: Tifa!

Everyone rushed after her as she shed some tears. Aerith looked at her.

Aerith: Is...it about Y/n?

Tifa balled up her fists as she looked at Cloud.

Tifa: A yellow explosion rang out above you, after he pushed you out of the way. That's what you said, Cloud... right?

Cloud seemed depressed a little as well, holding his arm.

Cloud; Yeah...he saved me. Y/n wouldn't want-

Tifa: Please, don't give me that...I don't want to hear it...

Aerith: I don't think he's gone, at least, not truly gone.

Tifa: How do you think that?

Aerith smiled as she clenched her fist.

Aerith: Y/n...when he's committed to something. It's basically set in stone that he will do it.

Cloud:(nods) Y/n's the kinda guy that's true to his word.

Meanwhile, Briggs is seen in trouble. He fires a few rounds before a bullet goes for his head.

Briggs: Guess this is the end of the line.

??:Not quite.

The bullets is suddenly cut in half a winged figure stands in front of him. Briggs looks his shock.

Briggs: Man, am I glad to see you, Y/n. What's with the wing?

Y/n smirked at him, green eyes shining in the darkness.

Y/n: Later. I brought reinforcements.

Men started to file up the stairs, taking on officers as they shoot. Even the old man rushed over to Y/n.

Old Man: more like we brought the one man army.

More officers showed up as Briggs and Y/n got in position.

Security Officer (2): What the—? Avalanche!?

Security Officer (1): Hostile contact—one target! Engage!

Y/n covers his blade in water before unleashing a series of circular rising slashes in a flowing motion from multiple directions before delivering a powerful downward slash to one of the officers. They went back as Briggs rolled around, firing bullets at the officers. The bullets hit the guns out of their hands as Y/n sliced the arms and legs off of one. He smirked grimly as he pushed the torso back.

Y/n: This floor 4?

Briggs: Yeah, Jessie and the others are above.

Y/n: Where the hell is Wedge? Still injured.

Briggs: Injured, just in a different way.

Y/n leaps forwards towards an enemy in a spinning motion and slashes them as they past. That enemy was down before Y/n then turns around and leaps behind another enemy to slash them with a curved strike, before uppercutting them while leaping high into the air and then falling down with great force in a overhead strike, smashing the enemy to the ground and unleashing multiple gargantuan waterfalls that pulverizes the remaining enemies. The water went off the pillar as Tifa and the others noticed it.

Aerith: Look at all that water.

Cloud: (Looking at Tifa) You think?

Tifa smiled and rushed ahead as the rest followed. Y/n looks at Briggs.

Y/n; Think you can handle yourself while I go ahead?

Briggs: Yeah, I'll be fine.

Old Man: My guys will patch him up. You go fight.

Y/n nodded and rushed ahead, quicker than ever. Y/n saw a few drones as he quickly used Thundaga to bring Al of them down. He leaped onto a ladder and climbed upwards before reaching the fifth Floor. A few officers turned around and began to shoot at him. Y/n swung his blade in a circular motion that defended him from the incoming attacks.

Security Officer: Bastards just keep coming! Don't think you're gonna get away with this!

Y/n stuck his hand out.

Y/n: Stop!

Time suddenly stopped as Y/n rushes towards an officer seemingly appearing like teleportation and unleashes a powerful uppercut-like slash that launched two into the air. Y/n subsequently leaps in the air with them, delivering an overhead slash summoning a large wave crushing them afterwards. Y/n then saw a few men the air with a...propeller on their hands.

Y/n: They fly now?

Helitrooper: Contact—L5! Moving to engage!

Y/n: (genuinely shocked) They fly now.

Y/n backflips into the air while upside down and delivers countless ranged slashes downwards, each hitting the Helitroopers to the ground. Y/n initiates Dead Calm, before suddenly appearing behind the men, having already moved and unleashed a delayed-barrage of sharp water sword slashes that completely lacerates them before summoning multiple towering tidal waves and causing them to slam downwards on the foes with tremendous force.

Y/n: Now I'm reaching the true power, all thanks to this wing. No... all thanks to my connection to the lifestream and cells.

Y/n quickly climbs higher and higher, Tifa quickly reached Briggs, who was alright.

Tifa: Briggs!

Briggs: Huh? Tifa? I figured you and Y/n would've been going up together.

Tifa's heart dropped and started beating super fast.

Tifa: Y/n..,he was here?

Briggs seemed confused.

Briggs: Yeah, brought a whole bunch of men and women with him to fight. Patched me up nice, still gotta worry about that helicopter though. (Tifa starts sprinting upwards.) Hey, be careful!

Jessie is seen kicking a officer in the head before rolling out the way of more fire and taking down to women.

Jessie: Come on, I got this.

Y/n: I knew you were a lady killer but wow, you sure knocked them dead huh?

Jessie looked to see a wave of mako spread outwards, Y/n is seen with his katana out to the side to cut through the fire as the wing was out. He then turned around to see Jessie safe and sound.

Jessie: Well look at you, Handsome. Where'd you come from?

Y/n: I was in the area, felt like a quick drop in would work.

Y/n tossed her some potions as she chugged them down.

Jessie: Whew, thanks! Really saved my ass.

Y/n: You all ain't dying today. You're still injured, they're started to evacuate people. I need you to go down with Briggs.

Jessie walked up to him and glared at him.

Jessie: There's no way, the bomb were my mess. I have this coming, I have to stick it out. I put you in this mess.

Y/n shook his head.

Y/n: I was gonna have a mess with Shinra anyway, and I wasn't asking you to go down. Either you do it, or I make you.

Jessie was taken back with the sinister vibe she was getting from Y/n.

Y/n; I will handle Barret, you go now. Im not asking again.

Y/n rushed ahead as Jessie gritted her teeth before she went downwards. Cloud and Tifa soon reached floor 7, the helicopter shines their lights at them.

Reno: Testing, testing... Attention, Avalanche scum! We know all about your evil plans to destroy the pillar. But the Turks—ahem! But Shinra—that's us—won't let you get away with it! So go crawl back into whatever hole you crawled out of, or something!

Reno: That oughta do it, right?

Rude: Eh. Good enough.

Reno: Wait. I know you... Mister "First Class." (chuckles) First-class asshole! Gotcha now! You ain't got nowhere to run!

Cloud: Not good.

Rude: Throw down your weapon and surrender! Shinra does not negotiate with terrorists!

Reno: Man, screw this cheap-ass play.

Cloud: Gotta move.

Reno: Pop your head out and let me finish this already.

Rude: Stairs.

Reno: Two birds with one shitload of bullets!

Reno: Hey!

Tifa: Cloud!

Toga grabbed Cloud's hand as they avoided fireZ

Cloud: What the hell!?

Tifa: Nice catch!

Cloud: You're crazy!

Tifa: Just like you. So suck it up, 'cause I'm not leaving. Y/n is alive and up here.

Reno: Dammit! You wanna explain yourself, partner?

Rude: Uh... Hand slipped.

Cloud: Where's Aerith?

Tifa: I sent her to Seventh Heaven to get Marlene out.

Cloud: And Wedge?

Tifa: I asked him to show her the way.

Cloud: Okay.

Tifa: We can still stop this...right?

Cloud: Yeah.

Tifa: Then let's keep moving!

Reno: And where do you think you're going? Come out, come out, wherever the hell you are!

They avoided fire and made their way up to flor 12.

Reno: What, what?

Rude: Seems we've lost control of the top floor.

Reno: Huh? Our guys are seriously struggling to take down these assholes?

Rude: Anyway, we may need to intervene personally.

Reno: Whatever you say, partner. Keep 'em busy, will ya?

Tifa: Jessie!

Jessie: Oh, jeez... Tifa... If you could see the look on your face... not that Y/n would mind, he probably needs it.

Cloud: Y/n was up here.

Jessie: He sure was, told me he was gonna go after the other while telling me to head to the bottom. He wants me to evacuate.

Cloud: if Y/n says it then...

Jessie: (nods) I know, it means there's no winning this one. And yet he's still headed to Barret.

Tifa: As sad as it is, he's probably just going to grab him and leave.

Jessie: I'm gonna go down, suck up some pride, yeah. You two got meet me down when this is all over.

Cloud: Promise..,maybe try your mother's cooking as well.

Jessie smiled with a big grin, she nodded before rushing down the stairs.

Cloud: C'mon, let's go help them out.

Barret is seen firing at the helicopter before Y/n rushed in and blocked most of the shots.

Y/n: Chocolate Thunder! You miss me?

Barret was shocked when Y/n sent a flurry of Mako waves at the helicopter, pushing it back.

Barret: You bet your ass I did! Come give me a hug Damn it!

Y/n rushed over and gave him a hug before they both ducked to avoid fire.

Y/n; A deadly hug.

Barret: No kidding.

Tifa and Cloud reached floor 15 as well. Tifa turned and saw her lover, the one she thought died a couple days ago. Y/n looked at her, for him, she saw her a few hours ago.

Tifa: Barret! Y-Y/n!!

Barret: Tifa!? Get your ass behind cover! Now! Chopper's gonna chew you up!

Cloud rushed over and looked at the two.

Cloud: Still alive and kicking?

Barret: Damn right! Leadin' man sticks around till the credits roll!

Y/n: Glad to see you in one piece, Cloud. Though I wish it was a better-GAH!

Tifa rushed into him and he caught her. She quickly grabbed his face.

Tifa: This is real? I'm not dreaming again, right?

Y/n: Again? You dreamed of killing me with your fingers?

Y/n teased as Tifa shed a couple of tears. She quickly kissed Y/n on the lips as he sank into it, Y/n separated and was speechless.

Tifa: I thought I lost you again.

Y/n; I'm not going anywhere. You owe me a dance.

Barret: Though we gotta keep moving if we wanna make it that far. You ready?

Cloud: Yup.

Y/n; Hell yeah.

They ran away from the takes as the bullets started raining on it, causing an explosion to ring out. The helicopter came around the top again as Reno looked at the ground.

Reno: Time for a rematch, huh... Rude!

Rude gave Reno his weapon as the helicopter landed.

Cloud: You!

Reno: It's nothing personal...bitch! Ha!

Y/n: That's sounds pretty personal.

Cloud blocked the strike as he goes for another strike, Reno dodged it.

Reno: Missed me!

Barret aimmed at the helicopter.

Barret: You're next, asshole!

Reno: Sorry, losers! Gotta play for keeps today. No time to dick around.

Announcement: Plate separation authorized. Awaiting confirmation. Plate separation authorized. Awaiting confirmation.

Reno: Yeah, yeah, coming right up.

Cloud went for a strike as Reno pushed him back.

Reno: No you don't! Not when I'm working!

Announcement: Plate separation authorized. Awaiting confirmation.

Cloud: Press it.

Y/n; You don't have the balls to.

Reno: Now, now... You ain't got shit on us.

Reno dashed to Y/n as he avoided the attack, blocking the kick and grabbing Reno's foot, slamming it on the ground.

Cloud: Careful. He's quick.

Barret: Yeah, quick at runnin' away, maybe!

Reno: Ha! In your dreams.

Reno surrounded himself with lighting before zipping all around the platform. Cloud timed it before he gave Reno an arching sword slash upwards. Cloud rolled out the way of a foot to the face, fill of electricity. Y/n performed a series of powerful sword slashes that seemingly takes the form of a flaming tiger and charged at Reno. Reno quickly dodged them only go get kicked in their direction by Tifa giving Reno a drop kick to the back of the head. The slashes hit Reno, forcing him back before Reno avoided fire from Barret with his speed.

Reno: So. Heard you gave Rude a beating.

Cloud: Had to.

Reno: No choice, huh? I guess I ain't got one neither.

Y/n: I missed a lot, didn't I?

Cloud: You have no idea.

Y/n initiates a high stance, before his blade seemingly took the form of a fiery Japanese dragon that envelopes Y/n as he started charging towards Reno. Reno looked at it and dodged the first one, leaping into the air to give a drop kick, but Y/n suddenly appeared in the air behind him and slammed his sword down onto Reno's weapon. The force knocked Reno into the ground, making a dent into the floor. Reno tried to get up as Cloud gave him a deadly thrust, Barret started to land a few rockets that exploded, making Reno slid across the platform as Tifa followed up with a kick to the chin.

Reno: Stubborn little shitbirds, ain'tcha?

Rude: Prepping for bombing run, how copy?

Reno: Say what!? I see you're doin' whatever the hell you want. Guess I'm rubbing off on ya.

Reno rushed to safety as the helicopter came in.

Cloud: Heads up, guys!

Y/n: I got this.

Y/n out his sword away, as Solar flames, Mako, and water formed around it. He ran forward in the air as Tifa was shocked. Y/n started fly using gravity and quickly draws his sword and slashes swiftly in a singular horizontal motion in a crescent shape. The helicopter was shot down before it crashed on the platform.

Reno: RUDE!! Dammit...

Rude came from behind and touched his shoulder, making the man smile.

Reno: (chuckles) Clipped your wings, huh?

Rude: I was planning to join you anyway.

Reno: Any landing ya can walk away from... C'mon! Let's teach 'em the Turks two-step!

Rude: Time for you to learn...

Reno: What happens when you mess with the Turks! If you're gonna pick a fight with the Turks, you'd better be prepared to leave in a body bag.

Barret: Confident, ain't we?

Y/n; They have no reason to be.

Rude slammed his fist on the ground, making a shock wave which Y/n and Cloud rolled out of the way. Reno tried to hit the two but Tifa kicked him away. Reno tried to go for Tifa but she quickly used Sleep to knock him out for a while. Barret fired on Rude before focusing on a single shot and firing at him. Tifa strikes a battle pose at Rude and stands in place, before leaping into a flurry of attacks, and then performing a combo of nine strikes that surround him, dealing increasingly higher damage, pummeling Rude from above. The final strike lands in front of Rude. Rude was staggered as Y/n disappears in a flash of fire, before reappearing from fire in mid-air upright, where Y/n perform a massive overhead circular slash. Cloud have a massive overhead strike as well as Tifa gave a dive kick, defeating Rude. Reno quickly woke up.

Reno: Rude!

Reno dashed at Cloud but Cloud counter attacked before using Triple Slash to knock Reno back. Cloud jumped into the air and struck Reno with a powerful attack. Cloud then quickly landed on the ground and lunged at Reno with a piercing strike that hit multiple times, while Barret charges to fire a long stream of bullets at Reno. Tifa followed up by creating a ball of energy that hit Reno and did continuous damage. Y/n moves forward in a horizontal spin with a drilling motion like a torpedo, from which he was able to strike at the Reno's midsection. Cloud finished Reno off while making an ominous symbol with his slashes. Tifa rushed to the computer, Reno tried to grab his staff as Y/n and Cloud held their swords to his neck.

Announcement: Plate separation authorized. Awaiting confirmation.

Cloud: How do we stop it?

Reno: Who knows?

The cloaked creatures came back and started to swarm everyone, Rude made a run for it.

Barret: Where you going!?

Cloud: Move!

Barret: Getting real tired of your shit!

Y/n: Tifa!

Barret: Where'dja—

Rude knocked Tifa to the ground and slammed his hand on the button.

Announcement: Plate separation initiated. Plate separation initiated. Commencing separation sequence. Section 1 separation imminent. Evacuate immediately. Plate separation initiated.

Barret: You son of a bitch! What have you done!?

Y/n glared at them before charging his hand for something. Rude picked up Reno and hopped on the helicopter to leave as Y/n raised his hand, forcing it down.

Y/n; Graviga.

The helicopter spiraled off into the distance at a high speed as everyone looked at the computer.

Tifa: What do we do!?

Tseng (computer): Nothing. There is nothing you can do now.

Tifa: You can't do this!

Aerith (computer): Tifa! I found Marlene!

Tifa: Aerith!

Barret: Marlene? My Marlene!? What did you do with her!?

Cloud: Where are you!?

Aerith (computer): I'm at the—

Security Officer (computer): Sir. C'mon.

Tseng (computer): Your activities unwittingly brought you into contact with the Ancient, who is now back in our custody where she belongs. For this, you have my sincerest gratitude. Alas, the sector in which you stand has been condemned.

Cloud: "Ancient"?

Tseng looks to Y/n.

Tseng: And it seems your actions will bring Project D back into our reach as well. The other Ancient we've been keeping tabs on. If you choose to come here, bring him alive, will you? No matter, he can't die from all of this, and he will be in our hands like was planned from the start.

Y/n; Piss off, Forehead!

Aerith (computer): Run! You have to go now!

Tseng (computer): And where exactly do you expect them to go?

Cloud: Aerith!

The screen cut off as everything started to shake.

Announcement: Total plate separation imminent. Evacuate the area immediately.

Tifa: No, no, no...

Explosions and debris started to drop from above as Y/n quickly released slices around the area, cutting any debris that could fall on them.

Barret: If we don't get the hell outta here right now, we're dead! We gotta think of something! Think dammit think! Look around... Gotta be something! Shit...shit... Shit!

Y/n looked at Tifa, who was on her knees.

Y/n: Tifa, I know it's sad but we have to go.

Barret: Hey! Over here! Found us a way out!

Barrett found a zipping as Y/n picked Tifa up. They ran to Barrett as Cloud grabbed Barret. Barret shot off the sides and looked at them.

Barret: C'mon, c'mon! Now!

He grabbed the wire and the rest leaped onto him as Barret leaped off, pulling the towards safety as the whole plate started to drop. People were still around, fleeing to safety... at least attempting to. Wedge was as well. While Shinra watched with a smile. Cat Sith mourned the loss as the four quickly made it through the closing gate of the next sector.
