Barret is seen looking at Sephiroth with the gang.

Barret: Okay, asshole, let's—

Aerith: Don't. And you... You're wrong.

Sephiroth: Those who look with clouded eyes see nothing but shadows.

Aerith: Everything about you is wrong.

Sephiroth: Would you say the same for Y/n? All born are bound to her. Should this world be unmade, so too shall her children.

Cloud: The world won't end today. But you... You will. We will save Y/n.

Tifa was rather calm, Sephiroth was almost disappointed with how clam she was.

Sephiroth; Do you not miss Y/n?

Tifa: I know you couldn't have killed him, he's not the type to leave without a goodbye.

Sephiroth: My brother is still alive, fighting Fate himself. That alone will determine his type.

Barret: (pointing at Sephiroth) You have no right to call him your brother! The only one that can say that....

Cloud: I'm his brother, not you.

Sephiroth: A family reunion...(looking at Tifa) I messed with the "In-laws" long enough. I'm waiting, Cloud.

Y/n is seen crashing through several building as he quickly gets up. Y/n gets up and quickly draws his sword again, blocked a deadly strike from Sephiroth as the clash of the two blades sent the two back a little before the two started to slash at each other fast than the human eye. Sephiroth gabbed Y/n by the throat and lifted him with ease before slamming him on the ground. Y/n quickly rammed the man with his elbow as Sephiroth went back a little, Y/n followed up with a single thrust attack with the point of the blade, which Sephiroth quickly countered by blocking the blade, making the two clash again.

Sephiroth: Why do you fight, when you know they are using you?

Y/n: I'm not being used by anyone, especially I won't allow myself to be.

Sephiroth: They made you a clown in their circus of freaks. It is our birthright...

Y/n: You just want to become a god...

Sephiroth: Reminding you who you are, I'd say that's pretty merciful for a god.

Y/n avoided the Firaga attack before dodging three slices from Sephiroth , Y/n tried to attack him but Sephiroth crouched and countered it with his own strike, Y/n moves out of the way before Sephiroth casted Blizzaraga, ice crystals rang out as Y/n spins his body horizontally to deliver a 360° slash and to cut them up, getting closer. Sephiroth blocked it, stopping Y/n's momentum before going for a kick, Y/n lbackflips into the air to avoid it and delivers a powerful upended sword slash that aims to decapitate Sephiroth. Sephiroth appeared behind Y/n as Y/n quickly span in the air downward, releasing a sword attack in a circular motion and avoided Sephiroth's slash. The wheel came back to Sephiroth as he locked with with almost a permanent smile, Y/n sent Mako waves at him but Sephiroth followed with his own. Sephiroth comes to Y/n and uppercuts him before slamming him on the ground again. Sephiroth then used Thundaga as Y/n rolled out of the way of the brides before following with white lighting.

Y/n: King Lighting!

A circle appeared below Sephiroth as white lighting rose from the sky, Y/n took flight and quickly dashed for Sephiroth, but the scenery changed. A giant metor showed up.

Y/n: What the hell...

Sephiroth: You will learn how to use this power...If you survive that long.

Cloud and the rest of the gang are seen in a different part of it.

Cloud: Where are we?

Sephiroth: I'm waiting, Cloud.

Barret: What the hell is this!?

Red XIII: This is—

Cloud: Sephiroth...

Sephiroth absorbs it as Y/n looked at it and found green aura flowing around him. The aura surrounded him as Y/n absorbed half of the power. Soon the sky cleared as Sephiroth started to throw buildings at the crew as Cloud landed on a platform before Sephiroth landed on the other side of him.

Cloud: Let's finish this.

Sephiroth: Fate is not to be taken lightly, Cloud.

Cloud: Shut up!

Sephiroth fired Firaga at Cloud as Cloud countered an uppercut attack before following up with a few slices. Sephiroth leaped into the air to slash at him, but Cloud dodged it and used the opening for more strikes. Cloud staggered Sephiroth before slashing at him. Sephiroth charged a flash in his hand as Cloud knew he couldn't block that. Sephiroth heard noise in the distance before he leapt away from a huge slash. Cloud looked to see Y/n with a honeycomb barrier around the two as he shakes off the green aura around him. Y/n smiled at Cloud.

Y/n: Hey buddy, long time no see!

Cloud: (smiling) You look like shit.

Y/n: Missed you too.

Y/n waited for Sephiroth to strike as he fired Firaga at Y/n while thrusting his sword at Cloud, Cloud rolled out of the way as Y/n followed up with Waterga. Y/n noticed Sephiroth using Cloud's attacks as if to beat him at his own game. Sephiroth did a triple slash as Y/n waited for his attack before he knocked Sephiroth's blade to his left and spiraled into the air and delivered a powerful slash that surrounds Sephiroth. The slash pushed him back before Cloud leaps towards the Angel and swung his weapon at him hurting the man slightly. Y/n followed up by charging towards Sephiroth, unleashing a horizontal slash seemingly covered in haze that fails to land, but actually does hit his legs. Sephiroth goes for an upper slash as the two dodge it and Cloud charges up an attack, before raising his sword and swinging it to deal tremendous burst damage to the man. Sephiroth knocked the two back before he flew debris at him, It was soon destroyed by Aerith though as she landed on the platform.

Aerith: Did you miss me?

Cloud: Not really.

Y/n: Speak for yourself, I always missed help.

Aerith: Sorry you had to deal with him for so long.

Y/n: Half-Brothers, am I right?

Cloud: He's tough.

Aerith: Yeah, so what? Screw him.

Sephiroth used Aergo to push Cloud back as Aerith sent magic projectiles at Sephiroth. Sephiroth went to slash Cloud but Aerith and Cloud switched places as Aerith dodged the attack. Y/n used King Lightning in order to make Sephiroth move back but he took it like a champ. places his sword behind him and charges it up with mako energy, then spins in the air once and strikes the ground, sending three beams that travel along the ground. Y/n avoided the Firaga attack before Y/n ignited his sword two-combo strike which starts with a vertical slash and then a horizontal one right after. Sephiroth then picked up Aerith and slammed her into the ground but she created a magical storm, dealing damage to the Angel. Cloud knocked Sephiroth into the sky as Aerith sends a laser at Sephiroth, Y/n flies into the air and slams him downwards into a new platform.

Cloud leaps into the air and strikes Sephiroth, leaving behind a trail of light and dealing burst damage in an area of effect. Y/n and Cloud rushed the staggered Angel as Y/n was pushed back with Aeroga as he tried to keep a stray grin. Sephiroth rose in the air before coming down with a slash. Sephiroth finally took out his wing and forced Y/n back.

Y/n: You gotta be kidding me, doing all of that without the wing?

Sephiroth teleported behind Y/n as Aerith sent the Angel a blast, Sephiroth blocked them and went for a strike from behind. Y/n quickly avoided them as Sephiroth sent out Mako charged slashes, Y/n unleashes a large circular flame slash that defends from the attacks. Sephiroth flew to Y/n again but Tifa drop kicked him and knocked him backwards. Y/n smiled at her as the two kisses real quickly.

Tifa: Cutting it kinda close there, Angel.

Y/n: Man, I can't wait to retire with you.

Aerith: Tifa!

Tifa: What'd I miss?

Y/n performs high-speed twists and rotations, thus creating afterimages used mostly to evade attacks. Sephiroth goes to strike an afterimage but it becomes real as Cloud is revealed in its place as he countered with a massive overhead strike as Sephiroth jumps and lands atop Aerith, waves of energy coming up from the ground that the rest have to avoid. Cloud rolls out of an Firaga as he follows with Blizzarga. The attack hits as Aerith summons a fairy that shoots magic projectiles at Sephiroth as he avoids one as it turns into a giant explosion. Aerith charges her attacks some more before she fired off a Ray at Sephiroth, which he blocked. Cloud went for a strike from the left and Y/n one from the right but Sephiroth quickly knocked them both back as grabbed Tifa's foot as she tried to kick him again. He slammed Tifa into the ground as Y/n appeared behind her with his "birth mark" growing a bit as the wing got longer. Y/n rushes forward with a flaming sword and performs a 5-move combo as follows: a low-ended strike from the left, a low-ended strike from the right that lifts Y/n off the ground briefly, a spinning wave attack, a powerful forwards upward slash and finally an overhead downward slash. Sephiroth forces them back into a wall as bullets push Sephiroth back.

Tifa and Aerith: Barret!

Barret: Ain't you four havin' fun!

Y/n: Glad you two could make it!

Barret: Better late than never!

Cloud: Let's go.

Everyone got ready as Sephiroth landed again. Barret let off a steam off bullets as Tifa rolled out the way of an attack before going for a good shoulder barrage as she zipped across the screen. Sephiroth used Aeroga and it pushed Cloud back, Y/n saw Sephiroth rise into the air as Y/n disappears in a flash of fire, before reappearing from fire in mid-air upright, where he performs a massive overhead circular slash that knocks Sephiroth back down. Y/n then is pushed back and a stunned by Thunderstom as Sephiroth that sliced Barret a bit as he goes back. Sephiroth then rushed into the air and slammed his blade against Cloud, who countered and manages to pressure Sephiroth. Aerith quickly healed the gang the second Sephiroth took a knee. Y/n quickly came back and deflected a thrust attack and guided Barret's bullets for Sephiroth and they hit the same. Barret smirked and unleashed a long barrage of bullets at Sephiroth as Tifa launches a floating orb of materialized chi from her arm at Sephiroth as well. Both attacks "hurt" Sephiroth as he sends waves at Cloud and Tifa which knock the two back into debris.

Y/n flies forwards as Sephiroth raised hand in the air; a orb appeared around Y/n. Homing orbs soon pop around Y/n as Y/n cuts the beams and blast and avoided the ones he couldn't. Y/n disappears in a flash of fire, sending the orbs off until they exploded. He started reappearing from fire in mid-air upside-down where he performed an angled 360° sword slash at Sephiroth which he leaped back for, just like Y/n was planning. Cloud did a lunge forward and three slices of Cloud's sword, forming an ominous symbol. Cloud immediately follows with a lunge forward followed by seven slashes of Cloud's sword. For his final eighth slash, Cloud drags the sword up in the air as he leaps up and then crashes down on Sephiroth. Sephiroth leaps into the air again and slams his energy waved on the ground before sending Thundaga at the crew. They avoid it as Y/n sends his own strike. Barret charges a flaming ball of energy while aiming at Sephiroth, and then releases it in a grand explosion. With Catastrophe, Barret begins by charging his weapon before jumping into the air. After reaching a certain height, Barret fires a huge continuous blast towards opponents, as several hits register separately. Sephiroth sends Thundaga again as Aerith shot out her day at Sephiroth.

Sephiroth leaped back before summoning a metor above them all as orbs started to appear all around the battlefield before they exploded. Y/n nodded at Tifa as y/n picked her up, rushing into the air and throwing it at Sephiroth. Tifa gave a drop kick before quickly sliding towards Sephiroth, followed by her leaping up with one leg to perform a somersault kick, hitting Sephiroth twice. Tifa follows by slamming Sephiroth on the ground and kicking him overhead. She continues by leaping to the air and spinning, creating a wave in the air while dealing several hits of damage. She concludes with an uppercut punch from which a dolphin appears, dealing tremendous damage to Sephiroth. Aerith gives the crew a shield as Sephiroth rises in the air. He throws his sword on the ground as a shock wave comes out, making everyone have 1HP. Y/n rushed forward doing all the spells with his sword out. Y/n suddenly stops and initiates Dead Calm, before suddenly appearing behind Sephiroth, having already moved and unleashed a delayed-barrage of sharp water sword slashes that completely lacerates him before summoning multiple towering tidal waves and causing Y/n to slam downwards on Sephiroth with tremendous force. Sephiroth stumbled before Y/n gave a devastating dashing slash to at Y/n initiated from a high stance, the technique had enough power to carve a deep impression that burnt the ground where it was unleashed. The form of a fiery Japanese dragon enveloped Y/n while charging towards Sephiroth.

Y/n: RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

Soon whispers came out of Sephiroth as they went to the crew, Red came and knocks them back.

Barret: It's about time you show up.

They all prep for another fight.

Aerith: We can do this. We can. We can change it—make it right!

Sephiroth leaps into the air as Aerith gets rid of the whispers attacking then with a large storm attack. Red claws his way through as Tifa punches them back. Y/n and Cloud rush forward.

Aerith & Tifa: Y/n! Cloud!

Barret: Go!

The two leap onto structures as Y/n flies ahead and sliced any whispers in his way as the two reach the Angel and get ready to attack them but the three disappeared as a flash of light rings out. They were suddenly teleported to a whole different place as Sephiroth helped Y/n up.

Sephiroth: Careful now. That which lies ahead...does not yet exist.

Cloud and Y/n leaped back as Sephiroth looked at the space.

Sephiroth: Our world will become a part of it...one day. But I...will not end. Nor will Y/n. Nor will I have you end.

Cloud: This is...?

Sephiroth: The edge of creation. Cloud, Y/n, lend me your strength. Let us defy destiny...together.

Y/n thought about it, but realized nothing good could come out of that.

Cloud: Never.

Y/n; It's not gonna happen.

They got ready to fight as Cloud went for two straight forwards attacks as Sephiroth blocked them. Y/n appeared behind Sephiroth trying to slash him but was unable to, Y/n went for an upward slash but Sephiroth deflected it and went for a lazy slash of his own which was quick. Cloud started to disappear around Sephiroth in order confuse him as he went to strike one way but then went the other as Sephiroth blocked it with ease as Y/n follows up on the other side as Sephiroth broke his sword, the lifestream fixed it as Y/n went to strike but had to block his own attacks as well. He dodged under one of slashes as Cloud went for a thrust attack but Sephiroth was clearly toying with them.

Sephiroth: Grow stronger, Brother, by the time we meet again.

Sephiroth knocks Y/n unconscious as he suddenly disappeared. Cloud got the wrong idea went to stab Sephiroth but Sephiroth knocked the blade out of his hands.

Sephiroth: Not yet. Seven seconds till the end. Time enough for you. Perhaps. But what will you do with it? Let's see.

Rufus: That's right.

Jenova seemingly was either destroyed or disappeared.

Hojo: (laughs)

Zack is seen alive as he looks at the bodies

Zack: Wait... Was that all of 'em?

Zach started to waddle to Cloud and Y/n.

Zack: Hey, Cloud, Y/n. You see that?

Zach saw a big bubble of light as it slowly started to fade away. Zach stood up and put the sword on his back.

Meanwhile, Jessie is seen helping the people in the slums rebuild.

Undercity Resident (1): There.

Undercity Resident (2): Thank you.

Jessie: Careful with that! We don't want it to spill now!

Jessie and Marle look at the falling flakes in the sky and smile.

Briggs is seen hanging out with the kids near Aerith's house as Marlene stars the flowers.

Elmyra: Marlene!

Marlene: Coming! Daddy...?

Meanwhile, Barret puts his hand out to Midgar. The rest look at him.

Barret: Marlene! I'll come back.

Tifa: So...what now?

Aerith shakes her head. Tifa looks at Y/n who had his arms crossed.

Y/n: We deal with Sephiroth.

Cloud:Long as he's still out there, I...

Barret: I thought you beat him.

Aerith: We can. We will.

Tifa wrapped her hand around Y/n's as they smiled at each other, knowing not much can be done but keep moving forward.

Tifa: Count me in.

Red XIII: If it's to be a hunt, you could use a nose like mine.

Barret: I'm in too! Bastard wants to destroy the whole planet, doesn't he? An enemy of hers is an enemy of Avalanche!

Cloud looks at Y/n,  Y/n looks at Cloud.

Y/n: You gonna be okay with someone like me around.

Cloud: I should be asking you that.

Y/n looks at his hands as he looked to the sky and screamed. The scream was full of pain, agony, sorrow and anger. From all the years of not knowing, being lied to, to being the cause of so many people dying. Y/n calmed down and could only try and smile. So he did.

Y/n: This won't define who I am, I'll make it my own.

Cloud: (nods) That's all we can do, Brother.

The group smiles at the scene before it starts to rain as everyone looks around. In the distance, Zack carries Cloud and Y/n.

Zack: Almost there, guys. We're almost there...

They all pass each other without knowing as Aerith feels the rain drop on her hands.

Aerith: I miss it. The steel sky.
