Let's start with the crystal of earth jobs, since they're the final set of jobs. These jobs are, essentially, upgraded forms of the jobs from the crystal of air and crystal of water. It consists of ninja, magus, devout, summoner, black belt, and sage. I think that, barring the sage, the five jobs used to be guardians of the crystal of earth and the Crystal Tower. These jobs are, I believe, been around since the flood of light or after it. Regardless, the people that represent these jobs have died when Xande invaded the Crystal Tower.

Let us interpret these jobs, shall we?

Jobs

The ninja may have been the leader of the guardians, since he can throw weapons and possesses high agility due to being an upgraded version of the thief. He patrols the Ancients Maze (a mechanical maze built by the ancients to defend the Crystal Tower), making sure the crystal of earth is safe from those that harm it. Perhaps he's the last ninja not to be corrupted by darkness, as the shinobi are corrupted in the Crystal Tower while the kunoichi is doing her job of guarding the masamune in the forbidden land of Eureka. I can assume that he has some relationship with the kunoichi before being sealed in Eureka along with the others, but that's just my speculation. Anyways, I can imagine him being a silent leader type of guy. His cause of death is that he might be overwhelmed by the monsters summoned by Xande, or if he faced the wizard head on and ended up getting killed.

The magus is a powerful wizard, equal to that of the legendary sage Noah. He guards the Crystal Tower to make sure no one enters the forbidden land of Eureka that aren't worthy, nor tamper with the altar up at the top. I can imagine him as a rival and a friend to Noah to see who is the greatest wizard in the world, and when Noah dies from old age, the magus is left disappointed in the fact that he didn't get to settle the score along with having the title handed over to him automatically. Due to being an upgraded version of the black mage, he is capable of casting high level attack magic. I also can imagine him being a stern yet kind type of guy, the way he doesn't take any nonsense but treats his fellow guardians with respect along with Noah. His cause of death is getting overwhelmed by the monsters that are summoned by Xande, no matter what high level spell he uses, more keeps coming.

The devout is a powerful healer, also equal to Noah and Unei. She guards both the crystal of earth and the Crystal Tower, healing her fellow guardians and supporting them. Perhaps the elder staff used to belong to her before sealing it into the forbidden land of Eureka, where it is guarded by Scylla so that those that bested Scylla are deemed worthy. Every white mage dreamed of becoming a devout like her, since she's capable of casting high level healing and support magic. However, she's not much into combat and prefers to stay behind her fellow guardians. I can imagine her being motherly yet firm type of woman, the way she treats wounds with tender care but isn't afraid to speak her mind. Her cause of death is when she is pursued by monsters during the invasion, separated from her fellow guardians. She chose to jump into the lava in the Ancients Maze rather than being killed by the monsters, knowing that this will deprive them of their satisfaction.

The black belt is the strongest brawler in the world, due to being an upgraded version of the monk. He patrols through the Ancients Maze and the Crystal Tower, making sure no one harms the crystal of earth and preventing anyone unworthy of entering the Crystal Tower. The Kaiser claws may have belonged to him, since it is found within the Ancients Maze. He is an inspiration to every monk since he can tackle numerous monsters without breaking a sweat, not to mention that he helps his fellow guardians. I can imagine him as a hot blooded yet reasonable type of guy, eager for a fight those that actually provided a challenge to him while know when to stop. His cause of death is sacrificing himself to the invading monsters, just to buy enough time for his fellow guardians to leave straight for the Crystal Tower.

The summoner is a powerful wizard, also equal to Noah. She is capable of drawing the full potential of the summons, due to being an upgraded version of the evoker. Unlike the four, she prefers to be in her study in the Crystal Tower rather than guard the crystal of earth. That being said, she's no slouch when it comes to the Crystal Tower being invaded. Every evoker looked up to her, wanting to become a summoner like her. Since Noah had sealed away bahamut and leviathan, and Odin is sealed within Castle Sasune, she is unable to cast her high level summoning spells. I can imagine her more like a cynical and apathetic version of mephelia (minus the insanity), the way she doesn't care about the crystal of earth so long as she does her duty in safeguarding the Crystal Tower. Her cause of death is trying to fend off the monsters, and falling off the rails to her death.

The sage is none other than the legendary Noah, who is capable of using all three schools of magic (in the 3d remake, the sage jobs mp pool is limited and cast the evoker version of the summons) due to being an upgraded version of the red mage. To those who played the game, we already know that he has three students who are very important to the plot. We also know that he gave each of his students each gifts: magic to Doga, guardianship of the dreamworld to Unei, and mortality to Xande (the two students see this gift as a wonderful gift). He also sealed away bahamut and leviathan, probably foreseeing what happens long into the future and aid the warriors of light. I can assume that the sage job putfit in the 3d remake is based off of his outfit, but that's my speculation. I know that he died from old age, and his gift of mortality is what drive the plot of the game. Other than that, not much is known about his life during the flood of light or before.

Conclusion

Since these are the final set of jobs, I can assume that the warriors of light barely got to know about the spirits residing within the crystal of earth. The spirits from the crystal of earth would want the warriors of light to avenge them by killing Xande, even though they have no knowledge of who is using him behind the scenes.
