I could sense them long before they arrived.

The forest, wide, dark and dense was filled with the buzzing of Shield agents. They closed in on us like shadows, almost making no sound as they breathed one with the forest.

I had Natasha kneeling before me, my sharp claws still around her neck securely.

I slid my predatory eyes over the treeline, making sure to not miss anything. I didn't even miss the small, red colored bird that was curiously perching on top of one of the pine trees. Taking off as soon as Steve Roger's foot landed in the clearing. The sun was making his shield shine bright as he raised it higher, skimming the empty surrounding suspiciously.

"Hey kid, we can still fix it!" I didn't acknowledge his words. Steve Rogers was empty space for me. He was a nobody, in fact, what was he even talking about exactly? Fix what?

Budnikov chuckled, not even looking at the masses of agents who emerged from the shadowy forest, I could sense some of them staying a bit further, trying to blend in. How pathetic, they thought they could hide themselves from me. "You really think that just being in your hold for a week, a HYDRAs property will just obey you like a dog, Captain?" the aged man with heavy accent next to me said, sounding rather amused.

"Hey, genius. In case you're colorblind, I'll let you know. There is a small, red dot on the spot where you heart is. And that red, small dot ain't leaving any time soon. So, you better give me back my friend and the kid. Or, option number two, my arrow will just pierce throught your dandy little heart!" a man said, having pulled his bow and arrows neatly and confidently towards us. Clint Barton, the man who never misses a shot.

"for an agent of SHIELD, Mister Barton, I think you have forgotten our code. You truly think that this, young masterpiece next to me wouldn't just take the bullet-- oh excuse me, an arrow for me?" Budnikov said with a mocking tone.

Clint Barton, somehow he resembled me the man with a dog. His face was twisted, as if he was in pain, but I could sense his worry and anger. I tightened my grip on Natasha, letting her know I was still focused.

"Hey, Mussolini, can't you just enjoy your old age, go to Hawaii, drink Bacardi and once in a while pet a dog or something? Seriously, don't you know that HYDRA is getting too old for this villain role?" Ironman said, standing near Captain America and sounding as bored as ever.

"Give the kid and the hostage over to us, sir. There needn't to be any bloodshed today." the patriotic man said, not glancing away from me once.

"needn't to have any bloodshed? Needn't to have any bloodshed?" Budnikov gasped. But I could see Steve give him a quick, suspicious glance. Natasha, having noticed my focus slipping from her, took advantage and instead of falling forwards, she leaned back, snapping her delicate neck backwards just enough so my claws that instinctively went for the kill, couldn't pierce her jugular vein, just leave a small red line on her pale skin . I stumbled back sightly, ready for Natasha's dance of death. As expected, she kicked up with her legs, making me grab them firmly. In tangled limbs and shadows of deadly eyes, I managed to push him town. But in our quiet, dangerous fight the cloth around her mouth slipped off. "Eliminate the target Barton." Romanoff said, glancing up.

I knew it had been a mistake as soon as I looked up at the arrow soaring through the air.

I left the redhead on the grass and grabbed the sleek arrow in mid flight, landing on my back as I rolled on the grass and pushed myself into crouched position as I held the arrow tightly in between my gloved hand.

I had nearly failed. I had nearly been too slow, too weak. I didn't turn my face from the open palm that connected with my cheek.

The arrow nearly pierced his clothing, so I could see where his frustration came from. "You foolish--omph" Natasha was on the man seconds later, bashing his nose in with the sheer force of her hit. I jumped on the woman, she landed as a cat quietly. Lion on the hunt.

But no lion could beat a dragon.

"You bring destruction to this world! Earth can not hold the whole, increasing population of this humanity on its fragile shoulders! What are you staring at?! Attack! Attack for heavens sake! Kill them all!" I turned to them, watching the chaos take the form of winged, scaly creature whose heart was taken over by codes, chemicals and sadness. The agents, hidden in the dense forest came to light, killing the agents of shield as if they were mere flies.

It was awfully familiar scenery and situation, I didn't give myself time to adjust to my large, dark body as I let out an enormous roar, making the agents, both Shield and Hydra shy away.

I felt a body collide with mine, I snapped my head back, to see the redheaded agent clinging onto my back spikes, holding a knife awfully close to my leathery wings. "Natasha!" I could hear Steve scream as I opened my mouth, only to stumbled back at the hard, blue and red shield that connected with my face.

"Sorry kid, but you're not thinking straight at the moment. We'll fix it, I promise." he said, as I swung my tail at his head in anger. I saw the bright, red and golden suit coming my way. In mid air, I closed my jaw around his leg and pulled him on the ground with a loud crash, the bot kicked me in the face with his free leg, shooting me with one of his repulsion to chase me away. I shook my head to get rid of the dizziness, and went after him seconds later. I could feel the bullets scraping my armored skin, piercing my leathery, shaky wings.

I had been trained for this, so I gritted my teeth and with a mighty leap, I jumped on the red and golden hero. Tearing into his heavy, thousands and billions costing suit with my sharp teeth and claws that had been covered with vibranium.

Tony Stark was panicking as he tried to fly away, I sunk my teeth deeper into the suit, through the metal as I felt them piercing his skin. I closed my eyes shut, not even letting go as Captain America's shield was thrown into my joints again and again and again.

I let go of the billionaire as someone sped by me, hitting me so hard into neck that made me choke on air. "Drop it you coca-cola addicted little boy!" an angry, white headed man yelled at me fiercely, oddly, his red cheeks did not suit his white complexion. I growled at him, letting him now that he was not the only agitated agent in the field. "No! You can not growl at me you, you bad kid!" I clicked my jaw shut, blinking at the puffing man. "That's right, kid, calm your damn self and snap put of it, you're my friend, my brother, we're family!"

I didn't feet anything.

Absolutely nothing, were his blue, teary eyes supposed to make me feel sorry for him?

"Oh Atlas, what have they done to you buddy." Pietro said quietly, taking a step closer. I swiped my claws, only to be met with thin air. "Stop it Pietro, he's not thinking right at the moment and you're not going to get killed by him second time!" I snapped a persons neck, stopping them from shooting me. There was the sound of guns and screams making me go nearly deaf.

But I knew we were winning, we were crushing them easily.

But the red and golden man kept agitating me, kept mocking me, making fun of me!

So, I attacked him, chasing him in the air and swirling as if I was part of the wind and clouds. My domain, my special, sacred kingdom above the flat ground, quiet and solitude.

The place I could find only when in battle.

The man, Tony Stark, he kept talking, trying to ease me into a conversation. But it was muffled, his words never reached me. In fact, I was in pain. I needed to do something about that. I needed to inflict it upon somebody else so I wouldn't  feel as if I was alone in this silent agony.

I scratched him good, and I knew he wasn't going to have eternal energy, I knew he wasn't going to last my blows, bites and kicks much longer. His suit was damaged, but he was still in the air, I had to give him that. He yelled at me, and I knew he was running out of time, so, I collected myself and took the leap, took the leap to our glory, to end the suffering of many.

I kept ripping his suit, biting into the vibranium as we got closer and closer to the land. I ducked my wings closer to my thin body, getting ready for the crash. I sunk my claws into the suit, keeping his hands away from my underbelly so he wouldn't shoot me.

Even thought I knew we were about to collide with the  ground, the impact still left me breathless.

I didn't waste a second as I saw him clip up his faceplate, looking bewildered and hurt.

I was about to end him, the great Tony Stark. I stood above him,  panting as I opened my maw. No one was going to save him.

"Do you know what day it is?!" I looked at him silently, ignoring the sound of explosions. His brown eyes were wide and fearful. "It's your birthday today! I--I found your files, Atlas Elison, you turned seventeen today!"

My name is Project B.E.A.S.T and I will-- no.

My name is Atlas Elison and I just turned seventeen.
