Kara flew fast in the sky, trying to find anyone she knew that hasn't gone mad to tell her what the hell was going on; because she was sure whatever it was, it was far away from what should be happening. All she saw was destruction, and abandoned cars on the street. She used her x-ray vision on each building she flew by, but no sign of anyone at all. She used her super hearing, trying to focus to detect any sign of human life, anyone who could give her some answers.

After a while looking, she finally saw some people cautiously walking around a small neighborhood. It was a small number, and they all had a look of fear in their eyes. She landed smoothly and looked for any familiar faces, when she finally saw one.

- Barry Allen! – Kara said as she stared at him, helping a mother with 3 children to carry her groceries.

- Kara? – Barry turned around and looked in shock. He dropped the bag he had in his hand and hugged Kara in a rush – You're alive! I can't believe it!

- Of course I'm alive... And I'm glad I found you... I mean, is it really you, right? – She said as she let go of the hug.

- Yes, it's me. Why?

- I've just had Nate and Zari trying to attack me a few hours ago. What's going on and where is this place? And why did you think I wasn't alive? I'm so confused...

- About that... Just a second

Barry turned to the family he was helping, and gave them some money.

- Here, I hope is enough to help with the medication. If you guys need anything else, you know where to find us.

- Thank you! – The woman said, as he grabbed the bag Barry handed to her and went inside what seemed to be her home.

Barry mentioned for Kara to follow him and they walked a bit away from the village until they reached an old bench and sat down.

- What's the last thing you remember? – He asked her

- I remember Darkseid came in, and a lot of people died and we tried our best to fight him but he had the Anti-Life Equation so we retreated and tried to come up with a new plan... You got hurt and couldn't run back in time, that's when I volunteered to use the Legion Ring and go back in time so we could go after the real Sonny, but we hadn't figured out how to break the Equation inside his mind...

- You used the ring and vanished. That was 2 years ago.

- 2 years? Are we in 2022?

- Yes.

- Oh, Rao!

Kara looked around, feeling lost and confused. Time travel was always a messy thing and could drive one insane, just by trying to understand it. For her, she just found the Legion Ring and used it, hoping she would be able to go back in time before half the team went to 1624, where they thought they would find the Anti-Life Equation, to destroy it before Darkseid could get to it. They found out the Equation was inside Sonny Sumo, a guy that was time displaced, but at the end, it wasn't actually him but Everyman, a guy that could turn into anyone he wanted to. Lex Luthor found the real Sonny and made them believe they won, by putting Everyman in Sonny's place and making them all believe Sara had killed him for good.

- While everyone fought Lex to rescue Sonny, the real Sonny was already with Darkseid. – Barry said as he recalled everything that happened - He got the Equation and came for us right after you left. He brought Lex back to life and they worked together, trying to turn Earth into Apokolips. We fought them, a few of us managed to escape but...

- What? – Kara asked, already waiting for the worst.

- He used the Equation in some of our friends, to make them part of his army and torture us...

- So that explains Nate and Zari's behavior... Who else he got?

Barry hesitated for a minute. He wasn't sure how to tell Kara what he needed to tell, he knew she would be devastated, but he also knew he couldn't keep something like that from her.

- He took Zari, Nate, Laurel, Rene, Caitlin, Mick, Kendra... Clark and... Alex.

Kara got up right away, covering her mouth with her hands, her eyes filling with tears she tried to hold. She felt like her heart was ripped from her chest, she felt everything spin around her. She took a few slow steps, not quite believing what she just heard. Clark and Alex were also taken. He took her cousin, her sister, her family. Once again she saw herself losing people she loved. She stared deep into Barry's eyes, almost afraid of asking, but she had to.

- And... Oliver? Is he ok?

- As far as I know, Darkseid didn't get to Oliver in time...

- What do you mean by that?

- Because we haven't seen Oliver in a few weeks...

- What? – Kara felt her heart skipping a beat, she was unsure if she could take more bad news. – Is he alive?

- I want to believe he is, but we don't know... When you vanished we thought something happened cause time passed by and you never came back. Month after month, it got harder and harder. Most of us never gave up, especially Oliver... Before he went missing, he was still sure we would see you again... But little by little, our friends were hit with the Equation and we started to fight a lot to protect the rest of the team. We went into hiding for a year, but now we live here in this small community.

- How? I was able to find you, to see the people and the buildings.

- That was Brainy's idea. He told us about when Lex mansion was hidden with a technology that made it possible to the entire building be invisible. We spent 8 months working on it. We still had hopes to see you again, so Brainy and Nia got your DNA, to make it possible for you to see it, in case you showed up. I have to tell him he is indeed a genius, because you found us... He'll brag about it, but...

- I know, he will... - Kara said, trying to smile but failing to it.

- We need to save them. We need to go now and save them, there must be a way of getting them back...

- Kara, wait – Barry got up, reaching for Kara's arm. – I know how you feel, we want nothing more than bring them back, but we can't go there blindly. We can't lose anyone else by being reckless, we need a plan... We also need to find Oliver, we are doing everything we can but we still got nothing... You came back and I know we'll find him too... But if we rush to Darkseid, we will lose. He has a huge army with him, not just our friends. We have been struggling to keep this small community alive, every time we need to leave this area to go for food, water, the basics for survival, is hard because they are everywhere.

- I can't lose them... I can't lose Alex and Clark...And Oliver... I can't.

Barry hugged Kara tight. He knew the feeling, he knew the need to do something, but they had to be smart and be careful.

- You won't. We won't lose them.

- Oh, Thea! – Kara said letting Barry go. She stared at him – How's she?

- It had been hard for her. She barely leaves her room; Nia is doing her best to help her... I think seeing you will help her bee hopeful again.

- Where are you guys staying?

- We found an old farm house down the street; it has enough rooms to accommodate everyone. Brainy's device protects the entire neighborhood, so as long as we are inside this perimeter, we're safe, but not all of us manage to leave the house. Thea, Nia, Brainy and Sara have been having a real hard time.

Kara kept staring around, amazed by how people could create such a good community, given their situation. Everyone helped each other, even with sadness and fear into their eyes. It was inspiring. She felt her heart heavy and with extreme sadness, but she just wiped the tears from her face and stared at Barry.

- I'm usually the one giving people hope to keep fighting and believing the best will come, but after everything you told me, looking around and watching this community... I'm the one inspired. You guys accomplished great things, even in sadness and fear... I'm so glad I found you guys.

- And I'm glad to see you alive and well. Come on, we need to let everyone else you're back... They will be thrilled. – Barry smiled

Barry and Kara went to the farmhouse down the street and Kara went inside in a rush. She needed to see everyone, she needed to check on Thea, hug her friends. As soon as she got inside, with Barry closing the door behind her, Barry called for everyone to come to the living room. Little by little, they showed up, shocked to see Kara.

- I can't believe it's you! – Nia said as she threw herself into Kara's arms, crying from happiness.

- Yes, is me. – Kara smiled, hugging her back.

- Kara! – Cisco gave her a big smile and a look of relief washed all over his face – I told you guys she was alive! I told you! – He said, hugging her.

Slowly, others came to hug Kara and celebrate her being ok. Sara came, then Brainy, Anissa, Ray, Diggle, Constantine and Dinah. After everyone hugged her, Kara looked to her left and saw Thea standing in the corridor, looking in shock at her. She had tear all over her face. Kara walked to her and just opened her arms, welcoming Thea in a tight hug.

- You're here. – Thea said, hugging Kara even more tight

- Yes, I am... - Kara said, while Thea started to cry – I know about Oliver and Clark and the others... We'll get them back too.

- I... I just... - Thea couldn't finish because the tears wouldn't stop.

Kara and Thea let go of their hug, Kara helped Thea wipe the tears from her face and Thea took a deep breath, trying to recompose herself.

- I can't lose my brother... I can't lose Clark, I love him... I love him and I didn't have the chance to tell him...

- You will. You will tell him, and we'll get Oliver back too. We need to believe this cause is the first step for us to take a deep breath and think clearly. As we say in krypton, El Mayarah: Stronger Together. We are together now, and we will save everyone and stop Darkseid.

- How can you be so hopeful, love? – Constantine's voice broke the silenced that fell around them, making everyone's attention turn back to him. – We have been living in true hell for the last 2 years now, that bloody monster took half of the team...

- Because I have to. If I didn't have hope, I wouldn't be here now; I wouldn't have found you all. I know is hard, I was terrified when I found out what happened... Terrified of losing my sister, my cousin, Oliver, all of our friends... But I needed a reminder that we have been through worst. – Kara kept staring around the room – And J'onn? Where's he?

- Recovering... He had a huge fight with Clark a few weeks ago; it's a miracle he survived. – Anissa said.

Kara nodded with her head. Thank Rao he was ok. She feared losing more people so much, but she decided she wasn't going to let fear take over her.

- Listen guys, we survived the end of the multiverse, we defeated the Anti-Monitor and we can do it again. We just need to stick together, and give our best to make a plan and figure things out.

Everyone slowly nodded with their heads as they looked at each other. Seeing Kara back with them after 2 years of hell gave them a bit of hope that thing would get better. Brainy started to walk from one side to the other, mumbling things as if he was alone and had just found a treasure.

- EUREKA!

Everyone stared at him and Brainy stopped, looking back at all of them, remembering he wasn't alone. He smiled awkwardly.

- I'm sorry, I was just thinking about some things... - He stared at Kara – We have been studying everything that happened, and there's a 94, 6% of chance that our plan work, now Kara is back with us.

- Well, it was 35% before, so this is a good sign – Cisco said

- And our chances are about to get better.

Everyone stared at the door in shock. Oliver Queen had just opened the door, full of bruises, cuts, with ruined jeans and shirt. Thea ran towards him, jumping on his arms and hugging him tight, crying.

- You're back! – I can't believe this! – She said.

- Yes, I am – Oliver hugged her back and as soon as they let go, he froze when Kara's eyes met his.

Kara got up fast when Oliver got in and, as soon as he let Thea go from their hug, she and Oliver walked towards each other in a rush, getting lost into each other's embrace. Kara's heart was practically jumping from her chest and she could hear his heart loud and clear, beating fast. Oliver didn't care they were in the middle of the living room, with full of people around them, He crashed Kara's lips with his, in a kiss full of want and passion. Their foreheads touched as they looked into each other's eyes.

- I never gave up on you – He whispered as she nodded with her head.

- I know. – She whispered back – I love you.

- I love you. – He said, kissing her again.

They broke the kiss apart and Kara's finger slightly touched his face.

- What happened to you?

- And what did you mean by our chances are about to get better? – Nia asked

- Before I answer all of that, I need to introduce you all to some friends from Earth-2... The JSA, and Adrian Chase, Prometheus.

Everyone stared at the door when a few people got in. A short girl shyly waved at them, while a blonde girl with a golden staff in her right hand gave them a tiny smile.

- Hi guys. – She said. – I'm Courtney Whitmore, Stargirl.

- I'm Rick Tyler, Hourman

- Yolanda Montez, Wildcat

- I'm Beth Chapel, Dr Mid-Nite

- I'm Pat Dugan, S.T.R.I.P.E.

- And I'm Shade.

Barry and the others introduced themselves and Dinah kept staring at Prometheus with a mix of curiosity and shock.

- Oliver told us about you, but this is so weird... The Prometheus I remember was... Different.

- I know – Chase said – But I'm not that guy. I'm here to help.

- How this is all possible? I thought the extrapolator I gave you broke in our last fight with Darkseid's army. – Cisco looked even more confused than anyone else.

Oliver showed the JSA the living room, so everyone could feel at home and be comfortable while he stood up, looking for the best way to explain what happened, because it was a lot.

- First of all, I'm sorry that I disappeared without saying anything... I shouldn't have done that.

- I was torn between hugging you or punching you, believe me, mate. – Constantine said as he also stood up, ready to take a cigarette, when Sara gave him a death stare and he changed his mind – Ok, ok...

- I'm sure I deserve it – Oliver said. – The thing is that I had a weird dream the night before I left. And I can't explain it, but somehow I knew what I had to do. J'onn was hurt, Barry lost his powers, and we didn't know if it's permanently, it had to be me.

- What? – Kara stared at Barry with a questioning look – Why didn't you tell me this?

- You had a lot on your mind, and I'm ok, it happened before, I'm sure they'll come back soon.

- But I didn't have time to waste, I couldn't wait. – Oliver continued - So I went to Star Labs to get everything I needed to fix the extrapolator. It wasn't easy, I fought a lot of people on the way there... I saw Laurel and Rene...

- And you're not deaf? – Brainy asked, surprised

- I think we should ask him if they are ok – Diggle said.

- I might have dislocated my shoulder and have a few bruises...

- A few? – Cisco said in disbelief

- ... But I'm fine, and they're alive.

Oliver kept telling his friends how he got to Star Labs and fixed the extrapolator. He knew he couldn't just wait to see if Kara would be back or if they would magically find a solution for the mess they were in. He told them how Cisco taught him how to fix it and how everything they needed was back at Star Labs, and he told them he needed it to open a breach to Earth 2 because his dream, or vision, showed him what he needed was there.

- I found Prometheus there and he told me that Darkseid wasn't just affecting Earth Prime, but the entire multiverse. He had more hidden on his sleeves than all of us could imagine. So we started to look everywhere for answers and we found out a precious information about the Anti-Life Equation. – Oliver took some papers from his pocket and gave them to Cisco and the others to see. – We needed a way to break the Equation inside Sonny's mind, and I found it. The JSA headquarters has a huge library and Shade helped us find exactly what we needed. A book of mystical objects that could do impossible things. A special compass, energized by Courtney's staff brought me back to you guys when I came back to life, so I knew they would have the answers we were looking for. And since Darkseid is everyone's problem, they offered their help.

- Is the least we could do after you helped us – Courtney said – Our Earth is in danger too, so if we stop and defeat him, we can save everyone else in the entire multiverse!

- Oliver, this is huge! – Nia said – And how do we break the Equation?

- We need to find a thing called the Lasso of Hestia. Is a golden lasso that has the power of making people say the truth and because of that, it can break the Equation, freeing people from its influence and giving them their free will back!

Nia's mind went far away as she remembered some things from when they got stuck in 1984, before coming back home with the fake Sonny.

- Wait... We've seen it. – She said, and stared at Dinah – Remember? We saw a flying woman in armor; she had a golden lasso on her hands...

- And we crashed there when we tried to get out of 1624. Gideon told us something was keeping us from going home. – Sara said, also remembering a few things from that mission.

- And I bet we now know why – J'onn said – You were drawn there... I still don't know how, but I'm sure is because the Lasso and the real Sonny were there.

- J'onn – Kara said as she went to hug her friend – I'm so glad you're ok.

- I am now. And I'm happy to see you... I'm so sorry about Alex, but we'll get her back. Clark too and everyone else...

- I know we will – Kara smiled and stared at everyone else – So... I guess we need to work on that plan.

Everyone hugged J'onn, welcoming him back. J'onn still couldn't use his powers, he was too weak, but would use his knowledge about the Anti-Life Equation so they all could put an end in this nightmare.

- Oliver, does the extrapolator still work? – Cisco asked – We could use it.

- There's something wrong with it. I was able to open the breach to Earth 2 but it was a bit harder to open another breach, we barely made it back here. I tried to bring back the things I used to fix it, but I lost them in the fight I had with Caitlin, while I was trying to leave Star Labs. Frost took over and froze everything, breaking it.

- So no extrapolators... I also can't open breaches - Cisco said, disappointed.

- Kara do you still have the Legion ring? – Brainy asked – Cause they took mine.

- Oh, I forgot to tell you... I don't have it anymore; I think I lost it because when I woke up here, it was gone...

- I wouldn't be surprised if they have it too now...

- Brainy, don't you think they would try to get Kara to their side, hurt her or something?

- I don't know... I'm not saying they found her, but... something tells me they have it, it could explain why I'm sure we have 89.067% of chance of success. Because we have a new plan now: we need to go back, way before you guys went to 1624...

- We can't interact with ourselves, otherwise things will go south and we can break time... I've been there, not fun – Sara said.

- That's why we won't do that, we just need to make sure these pages get to our past selves so we can get it right and erase this awful future we had. – Brainy and said and looked at Barry – And I know what you'll say, but we need to risk it. We can't leave the world like this...

- And we'll help you guys get there to recover the rings. – Yolanda said – It will work!

- We will make it work. For now, we should eat and rest. We leave tomorrow morning – Oliver said – There's enough rooms left for you guys – He said as he stared at JSA – and if you guys need anything, just say the word.

Pat and the others nodded. Sara kept looking at them wondering about a lot of things. It was so weird to her because she had met a JSA when her Earth was still Earth 1, pre Crisis. She wondered if anyone from that team was still around, especially Amaya, that was part of the Legends for so long. Sometimes it was still hard for her to get used to all Crisis changes, but she was glad to know many loved ones were ok and alive.

She got up and went to Barry, holding his hand and bringing him outside with her. They stopped near some nice flowers in the garden, next to a huge tree. She sat down and Barry just lay on the ground, resting his head on her lap.

- Are you ok? Given everything...

- I know it's hard to believe, but I am... - Barry said as he stared at her

- You got hurt and lost your powers for two years... I know it must have been difficult...

- Yes. You're right. But... I remember when Oliver started to train me, he told me I couldn't just rely on my powers, because if anything happened, I wouldn't be in danger because of it. And it was a damn good advice. It's weird, I confess, and I feel a bit sad, but I know I'll have them back and in the meantime, I need to adapt to be able to fight and help without them. My powers don't define me.

- I know they don't. Your heart of gold defines you. I'm proud of you – She said as she caressed his hair – You've been taking care of everyone in this entire village, helping people... I just want to make sure you also take care of yourself. And sometimes, we need to let ourselves feel to be able to do it.

Barry lifted up, sitting properly beside Sara, the tip of his fingers slightly caressing the contour of her face as he gave her a sweet smile.

- I'm more than ok letting myself feel what I feel for you, that's all I know right now.

Sara smiled, kissing him slowly with tenderness.

Oliver went to his room, the last one upstairs, and sat on the bed, feeling exhausted. He took his shirt off, throwing it aside, on the couch near the bed. The window in the wall across the bed was wide open and he could see the beautiful sunset, its lights filling the poor illuminated room. He started to take his shoes off when Kara knocked on the door. He lifted his head up and gestured for her to come in. Kara closed the door behind her and rested her back on it. She kept staring at Oliver. He kicked his shoes to the side and stared back to her. She wore a white sleeveless shirt with small buttons on the front and a light blue, knee length, hip pleat skirt with black flip flops. Her hair was up in a loose bun and she had no fake glasses on, since she didn't need to hide who she was, especially not from Oliver.

- You look cute – Oliver said, with a smile on his face.

- Nia let me borrow it. – She blushed

They kept starring at each other. They were finally alone after a crazy day, Oliver was alive sand safe, and she was apparently back after being away for 2 years. She still felt weird about it, because for her, she just left 2020, but she couldn't even try to imagine how hard it has been for Oliver.

- They told me you kept doing everything you could to get me back – She said – Even risking your life...- She paused, taking a deep breath - Oliver, you could have died...

- I died inside the moment I lost you.

He wasn't smiling anymore, but looking serious at her. Kara froze, taking a minute to digest it. It has been worse than she imagined.

- And I came back to life the moment I saw you downstairs. – He said, getting up from the bed.

Kara felt warmth inside just by hearing his words, and she couldn't bring herself to look away from him when he slowly walked towards her. His hair was all messy, he had a cut on his left cheek, some bruises down his neck, his torso had a few new bruises, and his shoulder had a few cuts. He had only his old jeans on and it had holes around the knees and tights. She could see bits of his skin, also full of bruises. She wondered what he has been through to be in that state. The closer he got, the nervous she felt. She couldn't help herself and her eyes slowly wondered up and down his body. She felt her heart racing, until their eyes met once again. Kara felt like she was hypnotized. His hands went for her hair, letting it down. He kept staring at her, his look following his hands tracing her shoulders, down to her arms. He held her chin with his right hand, caressing it as he lowered his head, his lips barely touching hers. His hands reached for her buttons, slowly opening them. His gaze went from her eyes to her lips and he brought his body closer to hers, pressuring his hips against hers. He captured her lips with his and slowly let it go, as if he was testing the waters. His eyes went back up, as he looked straight into her eyes and did it again. He kept teasing her, while his hands reached for the edges of her shirt, letting it slide from her arms as he gave small kisses to the exposed skin of shoulders, up to her neck. He felt dizzy with her sweet scent, his lips going to the base of her ear as both of his hands held her tight by the waist, pressuring his body against hers. He could kiss her like this forever, he thought as he stared back into Kara's eyes, losing himself into their dark shades of blue.

She held his gaze, hearing his heart beat just as fast as hers. Her right hand caressed his bruised cheek, wanting to savor each second they had together. His kisses became more urgent each time his lips went for hers, until it became a deep passionate kiss that made Kara weak on the knees. One of her hands went to his neck, gripping his hair strongly as she opened her eyes slowly. Oliver held her hand and brought it to his lips. She felt his beard on her skin, his lips on her palm giving it small kisses. He did all of that while staring deeply into her eyes and she felt like she was melting inside with his deep gaze. Her hands rested on his chest while his lips captured hers once again. Her fingers went all over his torso, down his abs, and she felt his muscles contracting against her touch. They stared at each other while she reached for his belt, taking it off and dropping it on the floor. Oliver closed the space between them once again and kissed her in a way Kara knew exactly how much he needed her. He wanted nothing more than feel all of her and love all of her. After almost losing her, he wanted to make this moment last forever but at the same time, he was in desperate need of her. Kara felt like desperation was building up inside of her, as a response to the fear of losing him forever. It hurt just to think about it and she never wanted to feel that way again. Oliver held her tight by the waist as if he feared she would vanish from his touch at any moment. She felt his beard against the skin of her neck, his kisses making a trail back to the base of her ear, his warm breath giving her chills. She felt more alive than ever, and didn't want to let go of him, never again. He lifted her and turned them around, guiding her to seat on the couch. As soon as she did, he kneeled on the floor and reached for her lips once again. Oliver could feel all the tension leaving her as her body started to relax under his touch, going slowly up her legs.

He was mesmerized by her.

She felt her cheeks burning as she blushed with the way he was staring at her. She felt his hand up her tights, underneath her skirt, while he held her gaze. She didn't remember anyone looking at her like this.

He always knew she was beautiful, but in that moment, just staring at her this close, being this intimate, watching her be this open and vulnerable with him, it made her look even more gorgeous.

He felt the luckiest man on Earth.

Oliver noticed her cheeks becoming red and caressed them with his hands, finding it adorable the way she responded to him. He didn't think he could love this much until he fell hard for her, and two years without her made him realize how much he couldn't live without her anymore.

He got up, bringing her with him with a gentle pull, holding her tight against him as they kissed. Kara felt her eyes locked on his as they slowly lay on his bed, his body fully covered hers.

- I had to do anything I could to find you, and every time I failed, I died inside a bit more. – He whispered as he kissed her neck, near her ear - I had to do something. You inspired me every day, even away. I'm sorry, but I would risk my life every day... - He looked back at her. No regrets.

Kara's heart jumped fast inside her chest. Oliver gave her hand small kisses, letting her hand rest on his chest. Her hand slowly caressed a few of his bruises, her other hand went up to his arms.

- You got hurt...

- I'll survive – He said, starring deeply into her eyes – We have a lot to worry tomorrow, for now all that matters is that you're here with me.

Kara looked at him and smiled, her hands caressing his face.

- I'll forever love you, Oliver Queen. And I'll always be with you, no matter what

His lips crashed hers once again and they spent the rest of the night making sure they knew how much they loved each other.
