May POV

I got blood work done like Harry wanted me too.

Within a few days everything came back normal. I'm perfectly healthy. I never seen Harry look so relieved in his life, which made me sad.

My cold has faded away throughout the week, which is good. I hate being sick.

I'm at the park with Finn and Anne. Owen is with my father; technical father, John. My Dad wanted to hangout with him, and I didn't argue. Owen likes spending time with his grandparents which I like.

Finn took BJ as well. I let him because there is no harm to brining a pig to the park. Plus it makes Finn feel more relaxed. BJ is on a leash.

We have a pig on a leash.

He's almost a dog to us now.

It's the end of fall, so they have coats on to stay warm. They wanted to come here, not me. I wanted to go to the movies but they wanted the park. I didn't argue, I want them happy.

I watch them play. Harry is with us. He had to take a call so we went to the car.

I took a break from tag because I got tired. They have a lot of energy and I don't. I see they're by the slide. Finn is sitting down I believe on the mulch that is covered with leaves and he's with BJ. Anne is beside him.

I soon seen a parent gather around the slide making me nervous. I walk to the slide and see a boy on the ground. Finn is now standing, Anne is behind him.

"Are you their Mother?" A woman asks.

"I am." I say.

"Your daughter just kicked my son in his--area." She says. I look to Anne then to the boy who is holding his crotch and is groaning.

"He was making fun of Finn." My daughter says.

"I was not!" The boy defends.

"You were too." My daughter replies. "You were making fun of his stutter and I told you to stop."

"I wasn't even talking to him." He says.

"Uhuh." My daughter replies.

"Finn was he making fun of you?" I ask. My son, who is holding BJ against him, nods. I look back to the mother of the child who is in pain. "My children don't lie." She scoffs.

"They're children, they're going to lie."

"Not if you raise them right." I reply.

"Your brat of a daughter just kicked my son for no reason."

"Your son was making fun of my son." I snap back.

"My son is no bully." The women says sternly.

"My daughter is no brat." I mimic back.

"Yeah, she just has anger issues."

"Coming from the mother who just called a three year old a brat for sticking up for her brother." The women's eyes travel to Finn.

"Does he have special needs or something?" My insides heat intensely.

"Special needs?" I ask. My eyebrows furrow. "Why? Because he has a micro pig with him? How rude can you get?"

Harry returns from the car and gets to the slide where we are. I assume he saw us. "Are you their father?"

"I am." He says causally. He holds hands with Annabelle.

"Would you like to make fun of him too?" I ask. My voice being sarcastic.

"I was just asking. If your son was--off. He does have a pig with him." Her eyes look to BJ.

"His name is BJ." My daughter adds for Finn who looked like he wanted to say it but looked scared to speak.

"Does he look like he is?" I ask. "Even if he was, how does that make a difference to the situation?" I ask the rude women.

"I'm just asking." She says. "Can't she just say sorry to my son? He might have injuries down there."

"My son might have emotional issues from getting picked on by your kid and kids like him. Do you see me asking you to say sorry?"

"May-" I cut off Harry.

"Your name is May?" She asks with a chuckle. Have people not heard of the name May or something? "Wow, you're family can't get anymore weird, can it?"

"No, but your face can in point five seconds if you don't shut up." I snap.

"I think it's time to go home." Harry steps in front of me.

"I guess anger issues does run in your family." The women remarks with laughter.

"Coming from the women who doesn't have a wedding ring and looks like an alcoholic!" I shout back as Harry pushes me away. My two kids walk in front of us. We head to the car.

"Are you going to give me the speech now or later on how I could've handled that differently?" I ask my husband.

"No, you did fine. I was just worried you were going to deck her and she was going to call the cops." I chuckle.

I open the car door for Finn who has his hands full with BJ.

I make sure he's buckled before I close his door. "I can drive." I tell Harry who doesn't argue.

He drops the car keys in my hand.

As we're driving there is a car behind us that is too close to the back of my car. I look in the mirror and see it's that fucking mother.

Harry notices and I shrug. I turn my signal left and she does the same. "Is she following us?" Harry asks.

"She's following us to McDonalds then." I hear my kids high five which makes me smile.

I look in the mirror that angles to the backseat. Anne and Finn are holding hands. My heart warms.

I move up a little and she does as well. Is this women trying to rear end me?

The light turns green and I turn. The crazy women does as well.

There is another red light and I brake. She does as well but she almost hits the car. "I swear to god if this psycho path hits us I will get out of the car and beat her with my purse." Harry laughs. "Does she not understand there are kids in the car?" I ask my husband.

"I assume not." Harry turns around and looks to our kids.

"Can we g-get BJ something?" Finn asks.

"Depends on what it is." I say.

"Fries?" My son asks.

"A small fry." I reply. He's gonna die soon so why not.

The light turns green and I drive. I switch lanes to get to McDonald's. She follows.

I slow down since I'm making a turn. She doesn't and she quickly breaks before she rams into my car.

My main priority would be my kids safety and if they were to get hurt. I look up in my mirror and stare at her. She goes in the other lane and finally drives off. "Bitch." I mutter.

"Finn, did you know that boy?" Harry asks.

"His n-name is Kyle and he likes t-to throw o-out my lunch."

"Where are your teachers when this happens?" I ask.

"They w-walk u-up to me and ask w-why he threw it out and he always walks o-over and t-tells them that i-it was s-soggy and was d-doing me a favour. S-Sometimes h-he goes into my cubby and takes it and no one notices. Or other people d-do." My son explains. I shake my head.

I order our food and pull up into the driver thru.

***

It's later that night. I check up on Anne who is in her bed.

"Hello." I greet her. I sit on her mattress.

"Hi." She says. Her hazel eyes meet mine. "Can I ask you something?" I nod. "Why did Finn get picked on?"

I remain silent for a brief moment. "Some kids think his stutter is funny, so they like to make fun of it."

"But it's not funny." Anne says. "It's mean."

"It is." I say. Her hand holds mine.

"Are you mad at me that I kicked that boy?" She asks me.

"No." I say honestly. "I think it was quite nice of you stick for him." I ruffle her curls and kiss her cheek. She grins gently. "I love you."

"I love you too Mommy." She kisses me then lays down. I tuck the blankets into her sides and stroke her hair back.

I soon leave her room and head to Finn's. He's still up.

"Get to bed." I hum. Finn looks to me. Baxter and BJ are in his room. Baxter is his his feet and BJ is on his pillow.

"I will." He says with a small smile. "I was going to read them a story."

"Which one?"

"Charlotte's Web. I think i-it would make BJ feel m-more comfortable s-since it's based on a pig. I don't w-want him to get s-scared so I skip over the part w-where they want t-to kill the pig." I smile at his words.

"Okay. I'll leave you be then. Good night."

"Good night." I close his door and walk to my bedroom.

Owen is sitting on Harry's lap. Once my son see's me his arms extend out to me. "I swear he uses me." Harry says as I take him off of his lap. I chuckle. "He only wants me when you're not around."

"Annabelle was the same when she was his age." Harry grins.

"Well, she's my little girl. We have that bond." I look to Owen.

"Are you my little boy?" He nods and nuzzles his face into mine. I grin. I kiss his puffy cheeks.

I look back to Harry. "I think you're an amazing Mom." He tells me making my eyes soften. "I don't know if I tell you that often. You looked ready to drop kick that Mom at the park." I laugh and my husband smiles.

He leans in and pecks my lips. "I think you're an amazing Dad."

"We make amazing parents then." He grins.

"I guess we do then." We both look to Owen who's smiling. His dimples on his cheeks.
