Mark could hear Jackson laugh as he tried to go to sleep.

Jackson was staying over the night after having dinner with his family.

It's been 2 weeks since they became official and today was the day when Mark and Jackson revealed that they were dating to Mark's family.

They were planning to tell Jackson's parents tomorrow night.

Mark was a nervous wreck before dinner and Jackson had helped him calm down.

Mark was worried that his family won't accept all along and would disown him.

Jackson had immediately disagree with the thought and told him that his parents have been supportive his entire life, they won't suddenly change their minds like that.

After gaining the courage (with the help of Jackson by his side) he needed to announce the news during dinner, he finally revealed his relationship with Jackson.

He had grabbed Jackson's left hand with his right, and intertwined them together while holding it up in the air for everyone to see.

"We've been dating for 2 weeks now," Mark told them.

His mom started squealing.

His siblings started clapping.

His dad said, "Well it's about time."

Mark smiled brightly because this is the supportive family he had grown up in.

Jackson smiled brightly as well and kissed Mark's cheek, causing his face to turn red.

"What are you laughing about," Mark complained.

His eyes were still closed but he could feel Jackson's body shaking from laughter.

"I'm just talking to someone, don't worry about it. Go back to sleep Markiepooh," Jackson reassured him.

"How am I supposed to sleep if you keep laughing," Mark complained, annoyed that he can't get some sleep and also because Jackson is talking to someone while laughing and giggling.

The second time Jackson was laughing and giggling, while talking to someone, was when they were hanging out after school at the cafe.

Mark had been trying to start a conversation with him, but instead, Jackson pulled out his phone to talk to someone, who Mark still did not know the name of.

Finally, Mark had the guts to ask Jackson who he was talking to.

"Who are you talking to Jackson?" Mark asked.

"Just a friend," Jackson replied.

"Seems like he's more important than your boyfriend," Mark had mumbled under his breath.

But of course, Jackson did not hear him due to the fact that he was too busy talking to someone.

The third time Jackson seemed to pay more attention to his phone was when they were in Jackson's living room, watching a movie. Well, Mark was watching while Jackson was busy typing on his phone.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom," Jackson suddenly announced, standing up from the couch while leaving his phone behind.

Ding.

Mark heard Jackson's phone sound as soon as Jackson closed the bathroom door.

Mark knew he shouldn't, but he couldn't resist the temptation and quickly grasped Jackson's phone.

❤️❤️❤️

Mark immediately dropped Jackson's phone as if it burned him.

His eyes began to water because it's been almost a month since they started dating, but Jackson was already done with him.

He stood up from the couch, grabbed his things, and left through the front door.

He texted Jackson, lying to him that he was tired so he went home.

As soon as Mark stepped foot on to his own room, he actually let the tears fall out.

His phone began buzzing in his hand, and with blurry eyes, he read the name who was trying to call him.

Sseunie🐶☺️, the name read.

Mark quickly declined the call and powered off his phone to avoid the incoming calls from Jackson.

Mark woke up the next morning, still very upset that Jackson may be cheating on him.

Someone began knocking on the door.

"Mark," a soft voice sounded out through the door.

Speaking of the devil, Mark thought.

Mark pretended to sleep.

Unfortunately for Mark, he had forgot to lock the door last night so Jackson was able to enter his room.

Jackson slowly walked inside Mark's room, careful not to wake up his boyfriend who seemed really peaceful sleeping.

He caressed Mark's cheek and kissed his forehead. He left the note behind and went out of Mark's room.

Immediately after Jackson left his room, Mark snapped his eyes open.

He could still feel Jackson's calloused hands caressing his cheek and his soft lips on his forehead.

Mark looked around trying to find what Jackson placed in his room.

He then saw a yellow sticky note on top of bedside table.

He grabbed it and read it.

If you're reading this right now, that means you are awake, so good morning❤️ Get ready because I'm going to take you out for breakfast- jackson

Mark may not have noticed, but he had a small smile on his face.

He was trying really hard to remember that Jackson may be cheating on him, but Jackson made it really hard for him causing the memory to slip out his mind.

That stupid kiss did something, Mark thought.

However, as soon as Mark laid eyes on Jackson after getting ready for breakfast, he couldn't stop remembering about the message from Jackson's "otter."

He barely talked to Jackson during the car ride, only nodding or shaking his head when Jackson asked him a question.

When they finally got to the restaurant, the waitress had asked them how many people for the table.

"3," Jackson said.

"2," Mark said.

They both had said it at the same time causing the both of them to look at each other.

"3." Jackson told the waitress.

Mark looked at him with wide eyes, very confused on who the third person may be.

Once they were seated at their table, Mark finally fired out his question.

"Who is the third person," Mark asked angrily, mad because Jackson had not warn him beforehand and also because he thought this was going to be a date.

"So as you may hopefully know, next week will be our monthsary and I wanted you to meet someone important to me. He's been my best friend ever since I was young and I love him as if he was my little brother." Jackson informed Mark.

Thoughts began to fly in Mark's mind.

"Oh there he is!" Jackson exclaimed.

Mark looked behind him, looking at the direction Jackson was looking at.

He saw a cute brown-haired boy wearing a pink hoodie a size bigger than his regular size, walking towards their table.

Jackson stood up from his seat to greet the brown-haired boy in a hug.

Mark stood up from his chair and stuck out his hand to shake the boy's hand.

"Mark, Youngjae. Youngjae, Mark," Jackson announced.

Mark gave him a small smile, Youngjae giving him one back.

Oddly enough, the boy looked like an otter when he smiled.

Mark immediately retracted his hand from Youngjae's hold, shocked that this guy was the one who Jackson was possibly talking to non stop.

"Is this your 'otter,'" Mark asked Jackson while making quotation marks with his fingers while saying the word otter.

"How do you know that?" Jackson confusingly asked him.

Mark winced mentally.

"I mean he looks like an otter right? That's what I'm trying to say," Mark lied to Jackson.

"Mhm sure," Jackson responded, not believing him at all. They finally sat down after greeting each other.

Jackson grasped Mark's hand.

"So Jae, Mark is the boy I've been telling you about." Jackson told Youngjae.

Youngjae gasped, "This is the boy who has possessed you to talk to me non stop about him?"

Mark laughed out loud while Jackson blushed.

For the rest of the date between what was supposed to be Jackson and Mark, now Mark and Youngjae, they spent gushing over the Maltese's they had and coincidentally, they had both named their dogs, "Coco."

Youngjae may not be bad after all, Mark thought.

All thoughts about Jackson cheating on him disappeared, only leaving him with guilt.

He looked at Jackson who had pancake syrup on his cheek, and quickly kissed him.
