Chapter 3

The night was winding down, and the gallery was starting to empty. Flora and Theo had moved to a cozy seating area near a large window, the soft lighting making their conversation feel even more relaxed. Flora was growing more comfortable with Theo, drawn to his genuine interest and calm presence.

As they talked, Theo became more curious about Flora’s reaction to his photos. He sensed she was struggling with how she saw herself and, as a photographer, wanted to help her view things differently.

After a moment of thought, Theo looked at Flora with a kind smile. "You mentioned feeling uncomfortable with how you see yourself. What if I offered to help you see things from a different perspective? Not just through my camera but in a way that might change how you feel."

Flora raised an eyebrow, curious. "What do you mean?"

Theo leaned in a little, his voice sincere. "I could do a personal photoshoot for you—something laid-back, no pressure. It might help you see yourself in a new way. Sometimes, looking at things from a different angle can really change how we feel about ourselves."

Flora’s heart raced. The idea sounded both interesting and scary. She hesitated, her mind racing with doubt, but the thought of seeing herself differently was tempting.

"I’m not sure," Flora admitted, her voice uncertain. "I’ve never done something like this. It feels... out of my comfort zone."

Theo nodded, understanding. "I get it. But it’s not about perfection. It’s about capturing you in natural moments, where you feel comfortable. No pressure to pose or be perfect."

Flora looked at him, torn between fear and curiosity. Theo’s calm confidence made her feel a bit more at ease, and she found herself wanting to try something new, even if it scared her.

After thinking for a moment, Flora gave a small smile. "Alright, Theo. I’ll give it a try, but only if we keep it relaxed."

Theo smiled warmly. "I promise. We’ll take it slow, and you’ll be in control. Let’s figure out a time that works for you."

Flora nodded, feeling both nervous and excited. "Okay. When are you available?"

Theo checked his phone. "How about next week? We can work around your schedule."

They exchanged contact information and agreed to set a date later. As Flora left the gallery with Amy, she couldn’t stop thinking about what Theo had said. This photoshoot felt like more than just taking pictures—it felt like a chance to learn something new about herself.
