This one, that one, which one?
Hello my lovelies, did you miss me? I'm here with another chapter. I hope you guys like it. So far, I'm loving your comments. I love how all of you are sure that Lacey is the real Red. Come on, there must be at least one of you who believe that the newcomer is the real Red? Well, let me tell you who the real Red is....I don't know. Haha, I haven't decided on that as yet. Or maybe I know, but I just don't want to tell you. Anyway, you'll all find out soon. I'm planning my not so big reveal in about five or six more chapters. Look out for it.
Anyway, back to reading. Hope you enjoy it!

Killian's P.O.V
Spend time with her.
Mik seemed to be sure that all I needed to do was spend some time with the woman claiming to be my wife. I didn't believe that it would change anything, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Maybe she would make a mistake and let something slip.
"You really don't trust me, do you?"
Her soft voice that was so much like my wife drifted towards me, breaking me out of my thoughts. Everything about her reminded me of Red. It was extremely hard for me to be around her because she looked, acted, and sounded like the love of my life. However, my heart refused to accept her.
"No, I don't."
I didn't see any reason for me to beat around the bush. I didn't trust her, and I wasn't sure that I ever would. I didn't want her getting false hope.
She laughed and the sound drifted to my heart. I inhaled the richness of the sound and closed my eyes to savour it. I still didn't understand how she, and Lacey acted just like my wife.
"That's okay, it's not the first time you claimed not to trust me."
I frowned at her. "Explain yourself."
She took her long red hair and twisted it into a bun. I watched, admiring it. Even her hair looked like Lilly's.
When all of it was secured, she smiled at me. Her face lit up and her features came alive.
So f**king beautiful. I thought.
Everything about her was inviting me in, tempting me to take what she was offering. However, the moment I touched her, the trance would be broken, and I'd be back in reality.
"If I remember correctly, you also said you didn't trust me the last time we were together."
I looked at her confused. I didn't fully understand what she was talking about because I couldn't remember telling her I didn't trust her.
She laughed again. "Five years ago, when I found out you were alive. Don't you remember?"
My head spun. I didn't dare think about what she was talking about because the only person who knew what happened between me and my wife five years ago, were me and my wife.
I stayed silent and let her continue. "After that bitch Natasha took my girls and I went to your house, you told me not to sneak up on you because you don't trust me anymore."
That did it for me. I jumped from the couch, startling her. My hand shook as I ran it through my head, trying to understand what the f**k is going on. Could she really be Lilly? Was I the one that was wrong?
"How the f**k do you know that?" I asked, still trying to come to grips with what she just said.
She got up as well. Her brows knitted together in a frown. "What do you mean? How could I not know?"
She looked at me for a while, waiting for a response. But then she smiled and jokingly said, "Unless there's another me."
She giggled as she said it, but soon stopped when she saw that I was not laughing with her. Her eyes widened and she took a step closer to me. Her hand resting lightly on my arms.
"I get it now. It's not that you don't trust me, it's just that you don't believe that I'm me."
She searched my face, waiting for me to deny it, but I just couldn't. This seemed to upset her as it was not the response she was looking for.
Her eyes narrowed as she pushed at me. "Are you f**king serious? Why the f**k would I go through all the trouble of pretending to be your wife? Do I look like I have a death wish? Why would you think I'm not me?"
I captured her hands, stopping her from hitting me further. She tried pulling herself free, but I held tightly.
"I'd very much like to believe that you are who you say you are, but there's just so many things that are leading me to believe that someone is trying to f**k with me. One of them being the dead body I saw, bearing the tattoo of my wife?"
She yanked hard, trying to free herself again and this time I let her go. Stepping back a little she grabbed the hem of her dress and pulled it over her head. To say I was shocked would have been an understatement. Under the loose-fitting garment, she wasn't wearing anything but a pink thong.
My eyes travelled the length of her body, taking in the fullness of her breast, the smallness of her waist and the delicate curve of her hips. Her body was beautiful, just like Red's.
"Do you mean, this tattoo?"
She turned around as she asked the question, bearing her back to me. Without thinking, I stepped forward and reached my hand out, touching it. Her skin felt soft as I traced my fingers over it.
It was the same tattoo, the exact same tattoo. There was nothing different about it. I felt even more confused. I was already having a hard time trying to figure out which one of them is my wife.
She turned back around to face me. "I don't know what is going on, or who tried to make you believe I was dead. Or why they held me captive for five years only to give me back to you now. But what I do know is that I'm your wife and I love you."
She placed her hands on either side of my face. "I love you, Killian. First, we spent seven years apart thinking each other were dead. I had to raise our daughter without you. And now, another five years has been stolen from us. Please, baby, don't let them win. Don't let them destroy you."
She ran her thumb over my lips, "Don't let them destroy us."
Reaching up on her tippy toes, she placed a tender kiss on my lips. This time, her touch didn't repulse me. However, it didn't make my heart react either. Tears were rolling down her cheeks and unconsciously I wiped them away.
"I'm sorry I made you cry."
She laughed, sniffing as she said. "That's a first, I thought you liked when I cry."
Her eyes connected with mine as she continued, "My tears are only meant for you, remember?"
********
"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" She tapped her fingers on her legs impatiently.
"What colour underwear do you have on." It was a random question, but as the wind blew, her dress lifted revealing just a tiny peek of her panties.
"Red," she answered then continued. "So, where are we going?"
I laughed as I watched her. Her short brown hair was blowing in the wind, wrapping around her face. Every so often, she would push it out of her face. However, the wind would blow it back again.
"You know, if you put the window up that would solve all your problems."
She turned to me, flipping her hair to the side. "That would be taking the easy route now, wouldn't it?"
I couldn't contain my laughter when she blew a kiss and winked at me. I loved her energy; she was a thrill to be around. I was never anxious, worried or buried in my thoughts when I'm with her.
I was about to tell her that sometimes, taking the easy route was also best, but my phone rang. I positioned my left hand firmly on the steering wheel and answered the phone with my right.
"Killian."
"Hello, boss." Emily, one of the managers for my clubs answered.
I frowned. It was the sixth time that she'd call me for that day. I was supposed to spend the day with her going over a few things about the clubs. But I cancelled when Lacey called and told me that she had the day off because it was her birthday. I knew that that was what she believed and have believed for the past five years. So, I decided to celebrate it with her, since I missed so many of her birthdays.
"What is it this time, Em?
From my side view, I could see Lacey frowning at me with her eyes narrowed. It made me chuckled.
"You know, I wouldn't have to call you this much if you had just kept our date. No girl likes to be stood up."
I smiled, "Sorry, I promise I'll make it up to you. Now tell me what the problem is?"
"You must remember that promise." She said then went straight back to business. "So, I was doing inventory and I found that a few bottles of our 1945 Romanee-Conti are missing. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if the loss was from one club as it would have been easy to catch the culprit. However, at least two bottles are missing from every club, which means it's someone who has access to all the clubs."
I listened as she talked and sighed. I hated thieves, especially when they are stealing from me. I paid my staff handsomely, and I treated them with dignity and respect. So, I tend to take offence when they bite the hand that is feeding them.
"Call Mik and Levi, let them deal with it or, tell me about it tomorrow. I'm taking today for myself."
I didn't wait for her to respond; I ended the call and threw my phone on the back seat. I didn't want to be bothered with work, I just wanted to spend the day with the frowning woman beside me.
"You know, I should arrest you for using your phone whiles driving. That must be the tenth time that she has called you."
I laughed, "What can I say, I'm a busy man."
She unclipped her seatbelt and reached behind her to retrieve the phone from the seat.
"I'm keeping this, and if she phones again, I'll answer and let her know that your f**king me and should call back when you're done."
I laughed harder. Her jealousy amused me as well as warmed my heart. I couldn't help my smile as I watched her hold my phone with determination.
"You're cute when you're jealous, Red."
Her head snapped at me, and I laughed harder.
"Yeah, and I'm deadly too. And I'm so not going to answer to the colour of my panties."
I didn't doubt her. Something told me that she would take the world on for me if she had to.
"Well, I'm not going to call you anything else but Red."
She narrowed her eyes at me, and I laughed, enjoying her reaction. I was still smiling when we pulled up outside the house. She still had my phone clutched tightly in her hand, but her eyes were wide as she gazed at the house through the window.
"So, I can assume from the expression on your face that you like it?"
She turned to look at me like I was crazy. "I absolutely love it! Anyone who says they only like it should be shot."
She exited the car and I followed after her. I looked at her, wondering and hoping that bringing her to the house we once shared would trigger some of her memories. In my heart, I still believed that she was my Red. I decided that I was going to do everything in my power to help her regain her memories.
I walked up behind her and kissed her softly on her neck. She leaned into me as I put my arms around her. A soft sigh escaped her. I loved the way she reacted to my touch.
"So, whose house, is it?" She asked breathlessly.
Turning her head to the other side, I gently kissed her there too. Her almost silent moan went straight to my groin.
"Yours," I whispered, nibbling on her ear.
She gasped, spinning around to look me in my eyes. A look of disbelief in her eyes as she regarded me. The shocked expression on her face amused me. Her reaction was exactly the same as the first time I showed her the house.
"You have got to be kidding me. You're not serious, right?"
I nodded my head. "It was yours the moment I laid my eyes on it. It has always been yours."
Her eyes filled with excitement, and she brought her hands up to cover her mouth as she squealed in astonishment.
"You bought me a mansion? Are you crazy? What am I going to do with something this huge?"
I put my hands back around her waist, pulling her flat against my chest. Her body moulded with mine as it usually does.
"Live in it one day, I hope."
She laced her hands around my neck. "You know, normal men buy their women flowers and jewellery for their Birthday, not a whole ass mansion."
I leaned down and took her lips with mine. "Well, it's a good thing that I'm not normal."
