Richard

Hello, my lovelies! I'm back with another chapter. I wanted to update sooner, but life got in the way. But, here you are, have fun reading. This story is moving along, and only have like ten or so more chapters before, we move on to book 3. I have a few endings in mind for this book, but I haven't fully decided which way I'm going to go.

Do you guys have any guesses? How do you think this book will end? Will it be death and destruction, or will everyone kiss and make up? Let me know your thoughts.

I've not forgotten about the giveaway. There's a lot to do before I can fully lunch it. I still need to get book one professionally edited and design a professional cover for ya'll. I'll upload a chapter after this all about the giveaway.

Happy reading! Love you guys!

Lilly's P.O.V

I hated being in the same place with her, but Killian was right. We needed to keep her close.

"Mum, where did she come from?" Rosey questioned with curiosity.

She was fascinated that I had a twin, that looked more like me than I did. It still pissed me off that my face was on her face, and I was wearing hers. Rose might have been curious, but Freya was not. Her eyes were narrowed, and her arms folded in suspicion.

"I don't trust her. I don't like the way she's looking at dad."

I had to agree with her there. I didn't trust her either. And I most definitely did not like the way her eyes ate up Killian like a hungry she-wolf. She was looking at my man like he was the most delicious meal on the menu. He might have been, but he wasn't a dish that she'd ever be eating from. He was mine, and I was done with all the people that were trying to tear us apart. There was no way that I was going to sit back and let them ruin my life further. They all would have to pay for their crimes.

"She is never to be trusted. I want you girls to remember that and stay away from her."

"Sure mum," both girls said together.

I knew the full extent that she was willing to go to get what she wanted. So, I didn't trust her around my girls.

"Once Richard finds out that Lilly's memories are returning, he will come after me."

I grunted as I watched her play the sympathy card with Killian. I for one didn't care if Richard wanted her. Hell, I'd give her back to him myself, served up on a silver platter with frills and all. I felt no pity for her, not after the life she made me live. F**k her and f**k Richard! Both of them could have burnt in hell for all I cared.

"I promise, he's never going to lay a hand on you again."

His promise pissed me off, just as much as the hand he took to push her hair behind her ear. I didn't trust the bitch! She knew her face was Killian's weakness, and she was using it to her advantage.

I left my girls and walked over to them. "Oh no baby, don't make promises you can't keep. I will drag this bitch kicking and screaming and deposit her on Richard and his crazy mother's doorstep, if I so much as get a whiff of her sniffing around you."

The bitch had the audacity to start crying, buying more of Killian's sympathy and gaining more of my wrath. Killian reached out to wipe her tears. I didn't think he was conscious that he was doing it, because he pulled back right before he could touch her.

"We have got to do something about you touching this bitch."

Killian's lips kicked up in amusement, but I was serious. I didn't like the control she had over him or the fact that she was using my face to do it.

"Maybe, I should cut her, slice her face up like a f**king Chucky doll. It might not solve all my problems, but it sure as hell will make me feel good."

I hadn't meant to say that out loud. It was just one solution that I was thinking of. Killian brow arched before he broke out into a full-blown laugh. But sister dearest didn't look like she found it funny.

"I f**king love this dark violent side of you. It's hot as f**k."

I turned to beam at him with a seductive wink. "I aim to please, baby."

Killian threw his head back and laugh. The beautiful look on his handsome face lightened the mood somewhat.

Mik chose that moment to walk into the room, but he wasn't alone. His two sons were with him. Gabe and Jasper waved at me, but their eyes were on my daughters.

I was okay with Freya and Gabe's relationship because they were both grown adults and could make their own decisions. However, I wasn't too keen on Rosey and Jasper's relationship. It felt very toxic to me. And they were way too young to have such intense feelings for each other. I was very uncomfortable with it. I had voiced my concern to Killian, and he had reassured me that Jasper was a good kid, but as a mother, I still feared for my daughter. However, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The boys disappeared from the room with my girls following after them. Mik just stood there eyeing my sister warily.

"It's still f**king scary to me, how much she looks like you, sis. F**k, she looks more like you than you. She has done the impossible. She has literally stolen your face. This is some real f**ked up shit."

I had to agree with him. He turned to look at me, the question in his eyes.

"Are you going to keep her alive? If we're voting, I put my vote in to kill the bitch. It's f**king scary having two Lilly's, and I don't trust her. And besides, we already have the real deal, we don't need a carbon copy."

With a smile, I held my hand up to him and he high fived it. Killian rolled his eyes at us. But Lacey looked nervous. I almost laughed as I thought, yeah, bitch. No one is gonna save your sorry ass.

"We're not killing anyone. We need her in order to get to my sister. Kinsley is planning something, and we need to find her before she executes her plan."

I hated admitting it, but he was right. We needed her, but the moment she became useless, I'd be the first to put a bullet in her head.

************

I was in a glass case of emotion, with no way of escaping. Emotions were raining down on me, hitting me from every angle. I wanted to claw my way out, but I was drowning, losing air by the seconds.

I took deep breaths. In and out, in and out. It wasn't helping. Nothing was helping. I tried telling myself that it was my choice, I chose to go through with it. Killian had argued against it, but I needed to face my fears. I needed to look my demon in his eyes in order to overcome him.

"I'll be right here. I'm not leaving your side even for a second. You're safe, baby."

I nodded my head, wanting to believe his words. Needing to believe his words, but the moment I saw Richards, my bravado crumbled. I almost walked away. No, I almost ran from the small booth.

His eyes bore into me as he approached the table. He cast Killian a dismissive glance, but then his scrawl was back on me. I felt it pierced its way to my heart, causing my body to shiver involuntarily.

When I told Killian that I needed to confront Richard, he was against the idea. He didn't want me anywhere near the bastard, but I knew that I needed to meet him, for my own sanity at least.

I wasn't afraid that he'd bring the FBI to our meeting because I had dirt on him. I was sure he'd lose his job if it was ever made public knowledge what he did to me.

As Richard neared the table, Killian got up. He watched Richard for a few seconds causing the already stiff tension in the room to become a solid brick wall. I thought that he'd changed his mind and attack him. I wouldn't have blamed him if he did, but I didn't want to start a fight with Richard. At least, not yet.

After what seemed like forever, Killian broke eye contact and moved over to the table four rows behind me where Mik was sitting. I smiled nervously at them. Killian nodded at me and Mik winked. I loved Mik's loyalty. He was devoted to keeping Killian safe, and that meant following him into highly dangerous situations.

Richard eyed the men behind me before sliding into the booth opposite me. Killian was against us talking on our own. When I first told him, he protested, but then give in when I told him my reasons for wanting to talk to Richard alone. However, he said that he'd be nearby, waiting just in case Richard decided to test his luck. I reassured him that he wouldn't, he had too much to lose by being reckless.

"Hello, Peaches. You look beautiful, as usual."

Hearing him call me that nickname send a tingle up my spine, and not in a good way. I clenched my fists that were resting in my lap together. I tried my best to clamp down the fear. I shouldn't let him get to me.

"Hello, Richard. I see that the last few weeks have not been kind to you."

I shouldn't have taken a dig at him, but I wanted to wipe the smug look off of his face. His lips twitched into a snarl, and I felt a tinge of satisfaction at the way he reacted, but it didn't last. He looked behind me to Killian with a leery smirk.

"Have you told him? Does he know all the fun things we did together?"

I stiffened. He rose his voice just loud enough for Killian to hear. I didn't dare turn to look at him. But I heard Mik curse and telling Killian to calm down.

Richard laughed, enjoying the reaction he was getting from Killian. I hated him. I hated what he did to me and what he did to Lacey. I might not like her, but she didn't deserve any of what she had to live through.

"I guess he doesn't know."

He was trying to intimidate me, and I was foolishly letting him. I've never before let a man get the better of me. Except for Killian, and that was only because I was young and inexperienced.

"Be glad that he doesn't know because you're still alive. Killian won't take too kindly to the person who makes my hair fall out of place, much less someone who makes me frown."

His lips twitched again. "I look forward to the day that he tries. I will squash him like the bug he is."

I rolled my eyes and gave a bored sigh. "Promises, promises. I'm not here to listen to your cheap talk. I'm here to tell you that you're going to stop digging into Killian and you're going to let us live our lives in peace."

I was proud of how confident and calm my voice sounded. Richard leaned back in the booth, folding his arms. His eyes regarded me in amusement.

"Now, why would I do that?"

He thought he had the upper hand, but I had something that he wanted. I had my golden ticket to freedom. I hadn't planned on using it, but I couldn't take his self-righteous act any longer.

I leaned back in my seat too, folding my arms. "How's Lacey, Richard? I wonder what she's been up to."

As expected, the smirk dropped from his hateful face. I watched as realisation washed over him and I felt a ray of satisfaction.

Yeah, that's right. I've got your precious wife.

All confidence left his face as he leaned forward, banging his fist on the table, causing the other customers in the shop to look our way. From behind me, I heard Mik telling Killian not to make a scene, and he thought that I was handling the situation just fine.

"Where is she?! What have you done with her?!" He asked harshly.

If I didn't know the kind of sick bastard he was, I'd have been tempted to believe that he actually loved her. But I knew the truth. He didn't love her, he just wanted to possess her. It was laughable how similar, but yet so different he and Killian were.

"She's safe, for now. And she will remain that way as long as you do what I say. We don't know what might happen to her if you do something that displeases me."

It filled me with so much bliss watching him struggled to maintain his composure. I had no intention of hurting Lacey, well, as long as she didn't piss me off, she was safe.

"If you so much as touch her, I will kill you and everything you love and that includes those bastard children of yours."

F**king bastard! He was trying to rile me up, but I wasn't going to let him get the better of me.

I sighed, "I can see that this conversation is going nowhere."

I stood, letting him know that I was done. We had nothing more to discuss. I had the upper hand and we both knew it.

"Let me see her." He stood as well.

I shook my head. "Not going to happen. Frankly, I don't like the tone you're taking with me. I might have thought about letting you see her before, but with threats to kill my kids and all, I don't feel generous anymore."

"F**king bitch!"

He lunged at me, but Killian and Mik were at my side before he could touch me. The two guys that he brought with him got out of their seats from a booth in the corner. I hadn't noticed them, but from Killian's and Mik's reaction, they had.

Killian pulled me out of the way. "You okay, baby?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Let's not do this here. For one, there are too many witnesses and not enough room. Let's reschedule this date for a more appropriate time. I'm guessing, but I don't think any of you want to die today. There's a time and place for these things, and this is not it."

Mik trying to reason with a furious Richard and his two possibly FBI friends was hilarious. Richard didn't want to back down, but his two friends were smarter than him. People already had their phones out, waiting to become YouTubers.

"Calm down Rich, now is not the time." One of the guys said.

Mik nodded. "You must be the smart one of the bunch."

The man ignored Mik, not taking the bate. Richard finally calmed down when his friends alerted him to the people watching. They decided to leave, but not before he gave me a warning.

"This is far from over! I will get my hands on you, and when I do, no one will be able to save you, not even him."

He cast a look at Killian, whose obvious instinct was to react at his threat. However, I stopped him. Placing my hand on his when he moved to step in front of me.

I looked Richard in his eyes, letting him see my truth. "Make no mistake, when the time comes, I will be the one to take my revenge, not Killian. I don't need anyone to be my saviour. I can do that all by myself."

He stared at me for a while before walking off with his friends following behind him. I watched, feeling satisfaction and relief. This fight was mine and I intended to win it. I was done being weak and being trampled on. If they wanted a war, I was sure as hell going to give them one. I was going to get my happy ending even if I had to kill every last one of them to achieve it.
