"Is three enough?

"Depends on how many cameras they have. But I think so." Stiles assured, his eyes meeting Alex's.

The couple stared at one another; each expressing their own wariness toward the plan. They had an extensive conversation that morning before they had arrived at Scott's house—neither of them shy on voicing the many things that could possibly go wrong and why it was a horrible idea. That plan could end up as their worst plan ever—higher on the list than Mexico.

"Are we really doing this?" Liam asked, his nervousness conveying in his tone.

Scott nodded firmly. "We're doing it. Tonight."

Ducking his head down at his Alpha, Liam continued with caution. "But isn't it kind of dangerous?" He turned towards his alpha. "If so, I'm putting in my two-weeks-notice, effective immediately."

"We have to do it," Alex told him. "It's going to take my family about two days to get here, so until then, we do something. Tonight."

"Have you guys done something like this before?"

"Something dangerous? Or something idiotic?" Alex asked for clarification, knowing that their plans usually fell into not one, but both of those categories. "Cause if you're asking me, we've definitely done both." Seeing Liam's face, she placed a hand on his shoulder, "You don't have to be part of it if you don't want to."

Liam stood tall, puffing out his chest, "I'm not scared."

"Then you're borderline idiotic," Stiles patted Liam's shoulder and sent him a wink. "If we do this, we don't know what's coming for us. You know that, right?"

Kira looked at Scott with wide eyes. "How do we even know something's definitely coming?"

"Because the tape from Garrett's bag said visual confirmation required," Scott told her, "So the idea is, what if you kill someone on the dead pool, but you can't send the proof?"

"You don't get paid."

Liam then asked the bug question, "But how does that get us any closer to The Benefactor?"

"He still needs to know if the target is really dead," Alex stated, slowly, "Especially if it's someone high on the list."

Liam nodded his head along, starting to understand it, "So, if he wants visual confirmation..."

"He's going to have to come get it himself."

HEARING Melissa's heart shattering scream of protest made Alex's heart ache. Quickly, she ran over to her, taking her into her arms, petting her hair. She laid my chin on the older woman's head and closed her eyes. She knew that Scott being dead wasn't real, that he just looked like it so that the benefactor would come to see his body, but it still hurt her to see her adoptive mom this upset, and to see her adoptive brother practically dead.

Once everyone that was around them was cleared out, Melissa and her made it into Morgue, and walked over to Scott's body and calmed themselves down.

"I still hate this plan," Melissa said, taking Alex's hand in hers, "I mean this is pretty significantly terrifyingly. He looks dead."

Ms Yukimura, Kira's mother, a woman the original had met about a hundred years ago, said, "Give me your hand."

Stiles gave Melissa a comforting smile. "It's okay." Ms Yukimura placed Melissa's hand on Scott's slightly cold body. Melissa gasped, more tears pooling into her brown eyes. "Wait for it." There it was; a heartbeat.

Melissa pulled back her hand, looking worried. "Is that enough to keep a werewolf alive?"

"Enough for an Alpha," Alex spoke up, taking in a shaky breath. Stiles walked up to her and placed his arm around her protectively.

"How much time do we have?"

"Forty-five minutes," Noshiko replied, revealing to them just how small their time frame was. They had forty-five minutes to lure the Benefactor there, catch him, and revive Scott.

"What happens after that?"

"I bring him back the same way," Kira explained.

"No, I mean what happens if he stays like this longer than forty-five minutes?" The woman looked expectantly toward the two people she trusted the most in the room: Alex and Stiles.

The couple, inevitably, weren't able to bring themselves to utter the words that felt like acid on their tongues.

"No one's told her?" Noshiko asked in shock, surprised that none of them had told Melissa just how dangerous their plan actually was.

"What?" Melissa cried. "What happens after forty-five minutes?"

"He dies."

And they had forty-five minutes to make sure that didn't happen.

KIRA, Liam, Stiles, and Alex stood in a random room in the hospital, laptops in front of them. They were waiting for Chris to give them the thumbs up.

Chris ended up calling Stiles, "I'm here. You ready? Try it now," Stiles reached forward and pressed a button on his laptop, and then all the camera's footage showed up on the laptops.

"It works."

Like twenty minutes later, one of the camera's footage started to glitch.

Liam pointed to it, "Is that supposed to look like that?" The camera footage then turned completely black.

"No. No, it's not."

Kira asked, "Where is that?"

"The roof," Alex stated, "Someone's gonna have to check it out." She went to go but Kira grabbed her arm, shaking her head.

"I'll go."

Stiles started to freak out, shaking his head, "Whoa, whoa. This might not just be a malfunction."

"Yeah," Alex nodded in agreement at Stiles' words, "I do not want you guys to get hurt or killed. It's bad enough that Scott might die in twenty minutes if we don't get to him in time. I also do not want to let another one of my packs to go down. I will not. I refuse to lose anyone else."

Kira sighed and whipped out her sword, sending her a small smile. "That's why I'm bringing this."

She started to walk away, and Liam practically shouted, "I'm coming with you!"

Stiles sighed. "Okay. And you're both coming right back. Immediately," They were gone before he could finish his sentence. He sighed again and shook his head, "Kids."

A few seconds later, the electricity went out, which means that the camera's went out, as well.

Quickly, Stiles and Alex got out of the room and ventured out into the hallways until they quite literally ran into Chris.

"The power's out in the whole building. We lost all the cameras," they informed Chris who nodded his head in understanding before telling them what to do.

"Stay with Scott. Text me if you see or hear anything." They nodded at his words before Alex grabbed Stiles and sped all the way to the morgue.

They had eighteen minutes left.

Stiles and Alex stood guard in the morgue, waiting for Chris to show up, and when she heard fighting, it meant that the benefactor was here.

It was two minutes later when Stiles frantically started calling Chris.

And then, Chris came flying into the morgue, landing on the painfully. Quickly, Alex grabbed him, and helped him up. When he fully stood up, a woman who Alec had learned about from the pack, walked in.

The blonde original zoomed forward and lifted her up by her throat, her claws embedding themselves into her neck. She let out a strangled gasp, clawing at Alex's hands and arms, but Alex did not budge.

"Hello, bitch. I heard so much about you, and to be quite honest, I would've liked you in my killing spree years, but you're after my pack. My family. And seeing that you're here for my brother means that you are the benefactor. Even if you're not, I still do not like you, and you are obviously still a threat to those I love. So, that means, bye, bye." Alex snapped Kate's neck, allowing her lifeless and pathetic body to fall to the ground.

She did not care if Scott will rant to her about this, because she knew that what she did, was a good thing. She might've killed someone, but she should be dead though. Kate was suppose to kill herself, but she allowed herself to become a pathetic supernatural being, thinking she was the shit. Alex did her a fucking favor.

"We have three minutes left."

Kira and the others came bursting in and Kira quickly got to work to bring back Scott.

Seconds later, Scott sat up, gasping for air.

Alex let out a joyous laugh before literally pushing Kira out of her way to hug Scott. "I am glad that you're alive, you stupid oaf. I would've killed you if you would've died on us."

"That doesn't make sense..." Stiles trailed off which made her narrow her eyes at him. "Okay," He held up his hands in surrender before looking at Scott, "I'm glad that you are back, too."

"Group hug?"

"Group hug."

They all then hugged, knowing that even if things didn't turn out the way they wanted or expected, but one good thing did happen, Scott did not die.
